Speaker 2 (00:08):
It is cuffing Sea.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
It's cuffing season, right, that's when people try to hook
up for the holidays.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yeah, it is. I'm smack dab in the middle of it. Courtney,
you're married, Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
All right, Well, I hope we can make a match.
It is time for second date Update. We're going to
Weathersfield this morning. Carter's on the line. He took Mackenzie
on a date. Now he's getting ghosted. I'm going to
try and make a love match here. Let's talk to Carter.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Good morning, Carter, Hey, good morning, Welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
To the show. Obviously it's second Date updates.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
So before we can do anything and get you answers,
tell us about this great first.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Date you went on.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
So, yeah, it was actually really cool because it was
like the perfect time of year to go on a
first date because we got to go like on a
haunted hay ride and you know, you know, it's just
like so much fun, and like Mackenzie was just so
awesome and it seemed like she had, you know, a
great time with me and then you know, afterwards, I
haven't heard from her.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Oh my goodness. Okay, so you did reach out to her.
Did you pay for the date?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Uh? No, she she kind of like jumped in the
front of the line and got her own tickets to
each bought her own ticket. But okay, I don't think
that would because that wasn't like me like the fering
it to her, Like she definitely like consisted on buying
her own ticket, like.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
She kind of Okay, Well, is she a fan of Halloween?
Because I'm not a big Halloween girly, Like I'm not
really into it. Like, did she like it?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah? It sure seemed like she liked it. And when
I brought up the idea, like she was excited. I
thought that was she thought that was a really cool
idea for her first date.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Hey, Carter, I hate to tell you, but this is
what I like to call audition season for the ladies
out there. So basically, like Courtney said earlier, it's like
coughing seasons. So what the ladies like to do is
they like to get three or four guys. They like
to put them through the ringer the auditions to see
which one's gonna come out on top and be their
winter boyfriend. So you just you might not made the cut, man,

(01:55):
I'm not I hate to break it down that way.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah, I hope that's not the case.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
But yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Guess yeah, I hope that's not the case to either.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
And it is kind of like busy season, you know,
we are like ramping up for the holidays. Maybe she's
just busy or like for us, we're swamped at work.
We have so many events and things coming up because
it's that kind of season. This is what we're gonna do. Carter,
We're gonna call Mackenzie. I'm gonna tell her she's on
the radio. I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna just ask
her straight up, why are you ghosting?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Carter? You're gonna be listening in. Let's call Mackenzie. Okay, Okay,
let's do it. Let's find out. I didn't know you
could audition boyfriends. Yeah, I didn't know that either.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hi is Mackenzie there? Yeah, Hi, sir, Hey McKenzie, it's
Courtney Kenzie.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's Walmart, Jeff.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Hey, what's up. It's Savannah. You're on the radio.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Hey, Hey, Well, I need to tell you McKenzie, you're
on Second Date Update. I know you're familiar with the show,
so you know Second Date Update. You go on a
first day, you get ghosted. We try to get the answers. Mackenzie,
Oh yeah, okay, all right, obviously you know what's happening Walmart.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Jeff, Well, basically your ghosting Carter.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Walmart Jeff thinks it's because you've been auditioning a lot
of guys to find a boyfriend.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
But you think so, Jeff, Yeah, I like.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
To call this the audition season for women, because you
guys are looking for a guy to settle down with
for the next few months, so you like to go
out on several dates with guys.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
So what's the deal with you and Carter?

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Look, I'm just gonna cut straight to the point. It's
not that I'm auditioning a lot of guys. It's literally
just I'm looking for an alpha male, like a very
masculine man. Okay, and he's okay, he just wasn't it.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
But why though, how do you know on on one date?
How do you know he's not alpha?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
It's one date?

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Well, he told you where we went, right, Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah, the Haunted Hey Ride, a haunted house, there were
games and stuff.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So this whole time during the
Haunted hay Ride and in the Haunted House, he was like,
oh my god, please help my hand, Please out my hands,
just like really over the top scared. And then at
one point he was crying.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Okay, nod on, Mackenzie, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
On, he's on the line ahead. Card, you were crying.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Yeah, I wasn't crying. I wasn't crying, but like I
was just having fun. But like, come on, it was
like pretty terrifying. There was like guys with like chain
saws and stuff chasing us, like.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
He made me go first.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
No, yeah, I didn't make you go first. I just
kind of like, you know, stood back a little bit
like no.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
So just for everyone listening. At one point, literally he
pushed me out in front while we were in the
Haunted House so that the scaracters would like mess with
me first. What I want to be with someone who's
going to be like protective, you know, a little bit
more manly man. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Oh, Card, it wasn't like real, It wasn't like, you know,
anything bad was gonna happen. Like we were just having fun.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Carter, you offered her up to the chainsaw guy crying?
What's going on with that?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I wasn't crying. There was like on the hay ride
there was like, you know a bunch of hay and stuff,
and I actually have like really bad like dust allergies
and stuff, so like I wasn't crying. I was just
rubbing my eyes and like they got all red and stuff.
Like it definitely looked like I was crying, but I wasn't.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
This is the funniest date ever. I feel it doesn't
sound in that way.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I think that Carter just scares easily, and maybe that
wasn't the best first date for the two of you.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Would you consider going on a second date? Like, Mackenzie,
did you listen?

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Listen? Just like you said, Like he literally offered me
up to like one of the change taw guys. I
know it's not real, but no, it was an instant
turn off.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
I don't even mean to laugh because honestly, it's gonna
probably hurt your feelings, Carter, but it was the visual
and I just I feel like, Carter, you're a great guy, Mackenzie,
you're a great woman.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It's it's probably just not like a match.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Yeah no, sorry, I mean you could have.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Like, we could send you axe throwing and you can
see how alpha he is. I can send you to
speat shooting or something.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
No, no, I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I really do.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Listen, but I'm a busy woman. You know. We move on.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay, all right, well there you go, Carter. You got
your answers.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Oh well, yeah, I guess I did.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Thank you. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I
appreciate both of you guys being honest and being on
second date.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Update pay always trying

Speaker 3 (06:45):
To be honest.
