Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, you guys, are you ready for second date update?
Maybe we can make a love connection.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Yes, let's do it. Absolutely. Second date update.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
If you go on a first day but you get
ghosted and you want to know why, call us. Dustin
is on the line to tell us about a great
first day.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good morning, Dustin, Hey, good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
How was it going guys?
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Okay, it's going well. So you're getting ghosted. Tell us
about the first date you went on.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yes, So I went on a date with Abby and
I thought we had a really great time. I took
her kayaking down the Farmington and it was a beautiful
day and I thought we had a great time. I
go kayaking all the time, and I just want to
show her a great time.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
I just went paddle boarding down the Farmington myself. It
is like that would be the perfect date. Yeah, so
you're out there, beautiful weather, Farmington water was great, You're
doing your kayak thing. Okay, so you felt like she
was having a good time and you guys were connecting.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah, I thought it was great. I mean that was
basically for the and then I texted her for a
second date and I have been completely ghosted.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
A Dusty, my buddy you weren't like splashing her with
the water where you I know how women are when
when women are around water, they're a different creature.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Some No, No, we just we just had a nice
kayak all right.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Hmmm. I don't even know what it could be that. No,
I mean it sounds it sounds like it was a
great date. It sounds you know what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Maybe I think it sounds like it's something different, out
of the ordinary. Yeah, maybe she's not used today. Did
she seem like an outdoorsy kind of girl.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
I mean, she seemed down to go for go kayak
thing and then I think she had a good time. Okay,
but I know what's happening.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I mean, I do have a single girlfriend. I always
ask her, do you want to go kayaking or paddle boarding?
She's like, why would I do that? Yeah, but you
know what I mean, she's the type is not outdoorsy.
That's the only thing I can think of. This is
what we're gonna.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Do, Dustin.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
We're gonna call up Abby and you're going to be
listening in and we're just gonna ask her why she's
ghosting you.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
If you're ready to get the answers, We're ready to
call Abby.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah, I'm ready. I'd love to find out and see
if there's a possibility for a second date.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Okay, hold on. That just sounds like such a unique
first date. Like yeah, no, I like that because I
feel like the worst dates are when it's white trash.
I mean, that's what Courtney and her friends do. Yef,
I am not white trash. Do not say that to me.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
I am sorry, Abby, it is Courtney from Kiss in
the Morning.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Hey it's Walmart chef who just got yelled at. And
hey it's Savannah. No, Walmart called me white trash, So
I'm not gonna have that apologize.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
I will turn your mic off and kick you off
all of this anyway, Abby, the reason we're calling, I
know it's kind of shocking to answer the phone and
we're fighting, but we have something that's called, hopefully you're
familiar with it, second date Update. You go on a
first date, you get ghosted, we get a phone call,
and we try to get answers.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, okay, you are.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
On second date Update and I will just filll you obviously.
You know, we just want you to be honest. Dustin
called us. Dustin said he took you on a first
date kayaking, and that it was a beautiful day and
it was great weather, and he thought you had a
great time, and he's reached out to you for a
second day, but you are totally ghosting him.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
That's true. No, I am ghosting him, Okay.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Oh okay, that was honest.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Honest, I respect that right up front. Why are you
ghosting him after this date?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Well, I mean it's kind of surprising to hear that
he thought it was great and beautiful and everything, because
I personally had the worst time, probably one of the
worst things I'd ever been on, to be honest. Oh wow, yeah,
we I mean he immediately wanted to go well, so
(03:45):
the date we wanted to go, well, he wanted to
go kayaking, okay, And I had told him I had
never done that before, okay, but he just like completely
disregarded that, like he just didn't hear it. And when
we got onto the water, he just took off like
he I don't I didn't know anybody could paddle that
(04:06):
fast on a boat before. But I was like, whoa, yeah,
he took off, and there I am like spinning in circles,
not knowing how to handle these little tattle things or whatever. Okay,
and I'm like fighting for my life out there and
he's gone.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
That is oh my.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
God, all right, he's on the line, Dustin. That is frightening.
She didn't even know how to kayak, and you just
kind of put her in the kayak and sent her
down the Farmington.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Dude, Abby, I'm so sorry. I did not realize that
you were so afraid, and I totally would have stayed
with you and tried to help you more. I didn't
even realize.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
I mean, he didn't like turn around and say like, hey,
where is she?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I mean, I'm just used to like going down with
my buddies and we just kind of take off and
go and then meet up at the end. So I
guess that was my bad. I'm really sorry. I really
didn't mean to leave you behind like that, did you really?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
He really?
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Did you really have no idea that Abby was struggling
with her kayak and you had no idea?
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, Like you didn't look back at all, like, hey,
I wonder where she's at.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
I mean when I saw her, I thought she was okay.
She seemed she sees she was a little farther behind,
but I thought it was okay. So I guess I
just didn't know.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I was literally making my own little teacup ride, just
spinning in circles there panicking.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Oh no, I can picture it though, because I mean,
you know I can kayak now, but when you're first learning,
you're like which way to the do I paddle? And
how do I go straight? And I get it, it
can be frightening.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'm sorry. That was really not my intention. I really
thought we were having a good time. I mean, could
I maybe take you for a second date to make
up for it?
Speaker 4 (05:44):
I would do as a second on the land.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I was just going to say, as long as it's
on land, both see it on the ground. No like
water or anything.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah, no water, no boats. I mean that that would
be great.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Okay, all right, I like this.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
You would have never known, you know what, you would
have never known, Dustin if you hadn't called us.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I'm glad you apologized.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
I mean I do think that you just weren't aware
because typically men were just kind of into themselves and
getting the kayak and go.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
But now that you know that's what happened, I am
so glad you apologized. And you know what, Abby, I'm
so glad you accepted the apology.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I mean, this is a really cute way of doing it,
and so how could I say no?
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
And you know what, the second this is what we're
gonna do. We're gonna pay for the date. You go
do whatever you want, maybe go to a nice dinner.
I don't know, and go mini golf. You can't lose
each other on the mini golf course. You know, you
could do something like that bowling That so fun. Yeah,
all right, listen, we're going to pick up the tab
as long as you keep us posted. One of you
has to call us after the second date.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Okay, will do
