Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys, we're going to Windsor this morning. Second
date up date. I hope we can make a love connection.
Ben has been waiting on the line. Good morning, Ben, Hey,
how's it going. It's going well. I hope we can
help you out. Obviously, second date update. You must have
gone on a great first date, but now you're getting ghosted.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, I guess so. I mean it hurts the heart,
but I guess that's what happened. I love that, all right.
It was awesome. We went to this restaurant, flirting, hand touching,
a little bit of laughing. It was great. It was
a good time. You know, you have a lot in common.
I don't know why would be getting ghosted.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
She has jobs.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
It's like my job. I have a cat. She has
a cat. Everything's good. At the end of the night,
I went home and I've tried to call them get
in contact since she has been getting in contact with you.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Okay, okay, Well that's weird because you say, Ben, there
was a lot of flirting, like you're on the date.
You're you're like touching each other, you know, laughing. You
can feel there's a connection.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
That's how I felt about it. I don't know if
it seems like it was reciprocal. I couldn't tell. I mean,
I have a pretty good radar for these things. I think.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Did you make her laugh?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I'd like to think so, I laugh.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay, it sounds like a good date. It sounds like
a good like basic date. I don't want to say basic,
but like, I don't see any red flags.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Now, did you make like any inappropriate jokes or like
something that maybe could have been taken the wrong way
if you're joking a lot, No, I don't think.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Did you get it? Did you drink too much?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
To drink too many? I don't think so. I kept
like I was able to drive home by the.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
End of the night.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Okay, Oh oh wait, you said that there was touching.
Did you get too handsy?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I don't think so. It was a little pinky scratch,
it was a butterfly kiss.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Nothing great, Okay, Okay, Jeff has nothing to say. Nothing,
then listen. It sounds like a good date. It sounds
like you guys had a connection. Obviously you have a
lot in common, the job, the cats, the whole thing.
We're going to call up Avery and we're going to
ask her about the date. You're going to be listening
in at any point. If you want to talk to her,
just jump on the line.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
All right, Well, thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Sounds like they have a lot in common. Same job, Yeah,
I mean, sounds like it was a normal date, same career. Hmmm.
Hi is Avery there? Yes, Hi, Avery, It's Courtney. Avery.
It's Walmart chef.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Hey, Avery, it's Savannah.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
We're calling from Kiss ninety five seven. You're on the radio.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Oh, Hiday, Hey, welcome to the show.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Well, it is second Date Update. That's when if you
go on a first date, you get ghosted, call us
and we get answers. Avery, You're on second Date Update
this morning.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Oh all right, I'll feel you in.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Ben called us. Said he took you to a real Yeah,
took you to a really nice restaurant. He said, you
guys had a great time. He thought that there was
a really strong connection between the two of you. You
have the same job in finance. You both have a cat.
He said. At one point, I think you might have
held hands or at least been a little deeper, like
heavy petting or something like that. I thought, he said,

(03:08):
like little touches. He didn't say that, Avery. He said
he felt a connection. He has reached out to you
for another date. Do you want to tell us how
the date went for you?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (03:20):
I mean, uh, it was great. It was it was
a really it was a good date. All right. We
went to Yeah, we did go to a nice restaurant.
He packed me up and drove me o for a restaurant.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
But at the end of the date he called me
an uber, which, okay, fine, I get it. You know,
maybe I'm not of your way or whatever. But then
on top of it, he Benmo recush for a all.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Right, Avery, hold two seconds, back it up. He picks
you up, brings you out on a date, and then
at the end of the day he calls you an
uber and sends you a Venmo request. Yes, yes, yeah,
what that's so come on.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
It's like, I mean, you know, I get stuff, Yes.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Ben, yes, Ben, Ben's on Avery, Ben's on the line.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Ben, You're sorry, sorry to buy you an uber and
get you a ride right to your house? Hold on.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
You didn't buy her an uber?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
If you Venmo requested or hold up one second, Ben,
you called her an uber?

Speaker 2 (04:31):
All right? Sorry, I called you an uber and uh
requested you a little money afterwards. You know, it's the
first day. We may not we may never see each
other again. I thought it was a connection. I would
have loved to see you again. I still would. I
would like to, but I don't know. I didn't think
why didn't drive me home? Then?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Why wouldn't you just drive me home?

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I mean it eve had been a long day. I
was hoping that you know, I can pick it was
a long day. I didn't have any innswest in going
to your house that night, to.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Be honest, going you're making it sound like you're going
to her house to go to her house and go
in the house. You just needed to drop her off.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Then, I know, maybe I got ahead of myself, so you.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Were thinking if you drove her home, she might want
you to go in the house, and then something might happen.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Trust me, I did not. Then Trust me, I did not.
You didn't have to worry about that. I just you
picked me up. You drove me. It's part of the
date to take me home, and then on top of it,
you didn't even pay for it. That's rude.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Though it was a nice day.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
See what would have been rude is if he just
left you at the restaurant. No picked her up, take
her home. You don't thank him, he's an idiot.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
No. I mean, if you picked her up, then I
think that there's the expectation that you should drive her home.
But if you don't want to drive her home and
you wanted to call her an uber, like, that's fine,
but don't be like, hey, I'm going to call you
an uber and then Venmo request her for the uber
like at that point, just let her call her own uber.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
He asked like he was going to pay for it, right,
He was like, let me let me get this.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
You know, right, And that's the weird part.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, let me get the man supposed to pay for
the drink.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Okay, Ben food, you didn't have to pay for it.
Just don't offer, all right, Usually I thank you, Jeff.
Stop thinking him, Ben, he's an idiot. Sorry, come on, Ben?
Can I and Ben and Avery? I just I am
going to I feel for you, Avery. I know it

(06:29):
felt kind of like he picked you up. He should
have taken you home. Do you guys have any interest
if you go or Avery, I should ask you to
go on another date and we'll pick up the tab.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Absolutely not hard.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
No, are you picking up the tab for the uber
as well? Or just the restaurant or what's going on?

Speaker 4 (06:45):
I would have done it wouldn't be there, wouldn't be
an uber if you had just driven me home.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Wow, we're not gonna settle this one. There is no
love connection. Uh, but you guys keep us posted on
uh on everything. And thank you so much for being
on second day updated. Ben, you've got your answer, well.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Thank you, I got it there.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
There won't be any more updates. Thanks guys,
