October is fire prevention month, and a fire department in
Ohio teamed up with Dominoes to make sure local homeowners
are properly protected. What they did is they use the
persuasive power of pizza to encourage residents to make sure
that they have working smoke alarms. Anybody who ordered from
Dominoes between five and seven PM were randomly selected to

have their pizza delivered by a fire engine, and then
they would come in and determine if the homeowner's smoke
alarms were in working order, and they would give them
new batteries or replace the old one free of charge
if they weren't working.
