summer's on its way. The best the twenty eighth annual

joining us with the taste is Mike MANQ. So Hey,
good morning, Mike, Good morning man. You work on this
year round, almost, don't you. I mean, once one's over,
you're working on the next year.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
This is a lot of fun, but it comes together
and we've got great bands in Omaha, and of course
great restaurants. We're very gifted with so many wonderful chefs
and get a chance to get them all together and
try your taste at some menu that you may not
have tried before.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Now, for somebody who's never been to Taste of Omaha,
describe the event to them.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Well, it's just it's on the riverfront at the Heartland
America Park. It was there for twenty two years and
we're back and it's exciting. It's a great park to enjoy.
All the best restaurants and local restaurants were so you know,
we need to support them, and this is an opportunity
to do that and to taste what they're doing. And
so with that, there's over forty restaurants and it's everything
(01:04):
from Mexican to Italian and it's just a wonderful experience
and always something to drink, from Barefoot Wines to Miller
Beers and your flavors to really see what you like,
what I like is.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
It's also for kids too.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
It's literally for the whole family because you have a
lot of entertainment for kids and adults. Yeah, we have
three stages of entertainment. One is a kid zone performances
everything from magic to exotic animals to enjoy. And then
we have a dance stage with Mexican, a little Irish dancing,
and then in the evening fire dancing performing fire.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Dancing that sounds talking with Mike Man from a Taste
of Omaha.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
We're at the Heartland of America Park, which is basically
eighth and Douglas Streets. We're Friday from five pm to
ten thirty, Saturday eleven to ten thirty, and Sunday eleven
to eight. There's a lot of free parking there on
the river front with Lewis and Clark landing in the
Park Services building, but in addition gallup.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
How much does it cost to get in?
Speaker 2 (02:07):
It is free to attend. It's free concerts and it's
thanks to our sponsors make this possible for everybody to enjoy.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah. Now do people pay at individual boosts or do
they get tickets? How does this work?
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, it's easy because we've got a festival bank that
gives tickets and they're good for everything, food, ride, drinks.
So it's just one one stop and then more tickets,
more fun. Don't forget all the great bands that we
have from a little Bit of Cool in the Gang
with Skip Martin, Emmy Award winner, a Little Huey Lewis
and other great bands throughout the weekend.
