Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the after show decompression session doing what they do best,
glabbing their gums. You, mister bow Oh, is it time
to be funny again.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Or at least weird at twenty four to seven.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah, that's pretty much how I lived my life. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
A lot of the clients yesterday at the open house
were all like, it's like, oh man, some o the
things he says. I'm surprised you can get away with it.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
We don't do anything that say.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
You know what, the rascals have been listening to him
for so long forty plus years that they know what
to expect.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, Yeah, they know I can be a dick sometimes.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
And they know it's all a joke.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
It is people that take it too seriously are the
ones that are like newcomers and don't understand.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, we're not trying to gross out, we're not trying
to offend. We just refuse to cut funny.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yes, that's right what my friends say. It's like, Anna,
it's like you get to hang out in the men's
locker room all the time.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
It is, and that's fine.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Yeah, we were going over that that nature of the
content with the bosses. They would refer to it as
locker room humor Blue.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Humor Blue. It's just funny and it doesn't cut funny. Yeah,
we ain't trying to piss nobody off. We're just trying
to be funny.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Bo's very experienced and he knows how to walk it
right to the edge of the black hole and peer
over into it without falling in.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Although some people still get pissed off because they don't
get it. Yeah, you know, now, that's how you get that.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
You're not mean spirited enough.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Shut up.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
See that was funny.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
She left. So we have a conference called ten, and
then at eleven I am am seeing a luncheon for
a wonderful nonprofit called Project Transformation, and they help kids
with literacy and after school programs, and then they have
a summer program and they're raising funds for the summer
(02:01):
program so that at risk youth can go to summer camps.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Anna, that's outstanding. Thank you for donating your time. Anna
has absolutely no time to even breathe. They're a dog
mom and that she volunteers always.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
I love these nonprofits that we've been working with for years.
So many of them just come back year after year
after like Carter Bloodcare.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yes, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, they know what they can get from us.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, they're good people. I'm volunteering my time, but not
necessarily for charity. I'm doing it for local musicians. On Sunday.
If you guys are bored and you want to come
to the Revel in Frisco on Sunday, they're going to
have a Battle of the Band Sunday. It's going to
start about two in the afternoon and run for four hours.
And I'm one of the talent judges on the panel.
(02:52):
And what they're doing is is they're allowing bands to
get up and audition perform live for a spot at
the Wildflower Music Festival. Oh yeah, that's the grand prize.
And they said, well what you know, what's your fee?
And no, I don't want any money for that. I said,
how about two tickets to Wildflower? Can you do that
for me?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yes, we can do that.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
So yeah, I'll be out there Sunday this on my
own time, two to six.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
I don't know who is on the bill for the
Wildflower Festival. They used to have big.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Time the Pat Benattar.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Leonard Skinnered cooling, the game go goes. I saw a.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Lover Boy and Jones yet back to back out there
one year that was a.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Who Well, lately the talent has kind of not been
the way it should have been.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, it's a little different, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
So it's May sixteenth through the eighteenth. Yeah, let's see
who the music lineup is this year, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Check it out.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
You know who's band made it on last year? Christina Rais.
Oh really Yeah, she's in a Nirvana tribute band called
of All Things Oatmeal Pizza.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yes, yes, I see her. Okay, so Sugar Ray Spin Doctors. Uh,
the American e l O featuring R. S o oh.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
A tribute Symphonic tribute.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Wow, gosh, I really don't recognize her.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
See, every year it gets a little less like it
was the year before.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Joe Lewis, he's good.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Marcia Marsha Ball.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, let's go watch Marsha Ball. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
So normally have to go to Austin to see Marshall
Ball perform. Yeah, Oatmeal Pizza, he's playing Sunday.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
They made Congrats.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
They must love it there. Friday Young the Giant is playing.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
They're great.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yeah, Evil Woman the American Okay, they're playing both Friday
and Saturday. I guess they just can't get enough either.
They judge something and so they got four tickets. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
So still there's no really big huge names this year.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
No, not like like the Go gos Bad Benadar jone
right economy.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Maybe maybe they have a smaller budget for the festival
and then we're all feeling the squeeze.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
I love the smither Rings. I saw them out there
a couple of years ago.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, they're fine well, and they moved venues. Remember when
they were out further out in Richardson. I went one
year and it had rained like a bunch a few
days before and it was just a muddy mess.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Where is it now.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
It's over off of seventy five, in that little district
where the park is by the Iceman Center.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Oh yeah, that's where they always had it.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
And they used to have it further out. We're like
in a big old field.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Well, I don't know, I may drop by there.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Yeah that doesn't sound like too bad of a time. Yeah,
come on by Sunday bo. I know that's convenient for you.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
But that's just the acts aren't what they used to
be there at the Wild.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Which was like a huge draw.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
I'm crossing my fingers that there's a lot of unknowns
that are ready to break out of the area. I
think we have a lot of great musical talent in
North Texas and I'm hoping to see some on Sunday.
I'm gonna be.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
There for four damn hours. We gotta go.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Oh my god, Okay, we got our Sorry, Sorry we tried.
