Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the after show decompression session doing what they do best,
clapping their gums. Okay, as we are on the trail
end of our beginning of the weekend, trail end of
the beginning doesn't make any sense. But then again, did
you hear the show today? Hey? Yeah, Yeah, I had fun.
I had fun.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
My laughter bones are broken.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah, David Kickner's got some good stories.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Is this sweete all right?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Yeah? He said?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I love the hat.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yeah, dig the hat.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
He said, I don't want you hadphones. I'm wearing this
cool hat.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, that is a cool hat.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
I loved it because usually the comedians have somebody from
the comedy shop, the store, Yeah, bring them.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
He yeah, you just got it.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
An uber on his own.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
And showed up and he was twenty minutes early.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I like that. I like it early pro because sometimes
we're sitting here biting our tea saying as our gun
show off and pun or something, and sometimes they do
and sometimes they don't.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Friday traffic can be a sun on all of us.
So yeah, we get it. Wow, Roger Earl, Mike Deuce,
fresh off of a viral comment to the Big Boy
and uh and David Keckner from office and anchorman. I
I can't even manage a laugh at least until Monday.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
That was so much fun.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
You guys, You guys were terrific today, and uh, what
an entertaining.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Show should I'm glad you approve of it.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I can lay down and go to sleep right here.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I am so tired. I didn't nap yesterday, so empty,
and I didn't get out of here until almost two
in the afternoon. What what the hell do you have
to stay here that long for?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Just?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Oh well, they keep piling ship on you that they
don't need to be doing. And I've been bitching at
him about that for a long.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Time, two years over two years now.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
But they don't do a goddamn thing about it.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
Yeah, they're gonna miss me when I'm gone.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Hey hey, hey, hey, hey hey.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
But the thing is they don't care. They don't care.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
How many times have they said, oh, yeah, yeah, we're
going to take that off your plate. Oh yeah, we're
going to take at least.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Once I was witnessed to at least one time.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Here you I go, mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Anyways, but now you know what, I had a really
nice conversation with yesterday because the month of October is
learning difference is awareness Month. Yeah, so Shelton School, which
a lot of Dallas Cowboys players, their kids have learning
difference is dyslexia ADHD, stuff like that, and they send
their kids to Shelton. But there was this young lady,
she's a senior at the school, and I was trying

(02:37):
to tell her how to use the microphone. She goes, oh,
I know my boyfriend at Shelton has a podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Oh oh, well, that qualify here. Why don't you come
in beyond the morning show?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
It was the cutest thing. Everybody just goes to prove
everybody has.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
A podcast, everybody in their freaking grandmother. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Do you guys know how many podcasts there are on that?
I heeart out how many? There's just under a half
a million last time I counted shipping me.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Because every day somebody else is going to have a podcast.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Well, if they've got a podcast, I won't get one too.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well you're on the radio.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Well, but I'm just speaking to somebody that they won't ship.
They got a podcast, Who do I call to get
me one? Yeah, but this isn't really this is just
us sitting here shooting the ship.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
It's a coffee break.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, comments coming in on the Facebook Streme. Great show,
you guys, thank you for the great show. Great show,
great show, great show.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
We have fun doing it every time we do it.
Hell yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
And that one. The last time I felt like a
rush of just being over stimulated with entertainment was when
you were at your house and you had Randy from
Zebra and Jim Florentine and Jimmy White.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Wasn't there one more in there too, Felix for me?

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Yea?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
God.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
You know what I loved about that day, bo is
because you had been working for Home and we were
all kind of off kilter. Oh yeah, because you weren't
in the studio with us. But the energy that you
had with all those people at your house, that's the
energy that you have on the air you're in studio.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Because I was able to look at them in the
eye and talk to them when I was away in
home and you guys were up here, it just just
something was missing.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
And there was that slight little delay.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
No, I loved it because it was like there's bow.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, screwed everything.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Up, but no, that's okay now. Four Huh.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I bet you're happy.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I'll tell you. Bet your ass I'll be glad with this.
Goddamn years ago hasn't been a good one for the kid,
but I will persevere.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
You think you're inny closer to getting back on your
bicycle again. I feel bad for you and your bike.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Not for a while, not for a while.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Good gows is that you haven't broke the funny the
funny it's a good well.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
The funny kind of helps me heal the band. That's
the very The funny bone is strong as the female. Yeah,
that's what I'm thinking. It's not even a bone, it's
a nerve. They call it the funny bone because it's
next to the humorous bone that's your human humor.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Get it, it's not very humorous.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
No, I left is good.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Remember the lion from Wizard of Oz the nerve?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
See that.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
There's kind of sort of a prequel to Wizard of
Oz coming out.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
It's called Wicked Wicked.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah play.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
I saw the play at at a fair part.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
The two Witches and hell it used to be friends
and all that.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, it looks great.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
It is the origin story of the Wicked Witch of
the West.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I think that's a great idea, A great idea.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Who wasn't a really big bitch. When she first started.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
They turned her into a bitch.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Society turned her into a bit.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Because you know what, they bullied her because she was green. Ah,
it's not easy for just ask kermit.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
I saw it in New York and my brother fell asleep.
But I was like, do you know how much these
freaking tickets are?

Speaker 1 (06:07):
And you fell asleep asleep?

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I passed out at Paul McCartney at the LA Forum
in the same row as about ten of our grand
prize winners.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Oh shut up, really, I made the mistake.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
We flew in really early. Two old buddies from high
school picked me up at LAX and we went running
around Hollywood all day. By the time Paul went on,
I couldn't keep my eyes open. So there's pictures of
me just passed out at the LA Forum Paul McCartney raging.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
How could you pass out when Paul McCartney's Oh man, he.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Puts on such a great show. I was tempted to
see about going to Mexico to see family because he's
gonna be playing in Mexico.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Really so tempted to go.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
See family, but really, go see Paul McCartney it's like, yes,
I'm here to visit you.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Well, but see, watching Paul McCartney is kind of like
my childhood because the Beatles blew me away when they
came out.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Still puts on such a great show.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Isn't it amazing?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
How old is he? Geez e two e too. I
saw the Beatles on the ed Zelevant shoe when I
was ten. I was ten years old, and even then
I went, fuck, this is good?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
What everything just changed inside of.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Him because I was into music and not like the
elvist and my parents used to listen to the Kingston
Trio all the time. And then I heard the Beatles
with those harmonies. I said, oh, well, this is it.
I'm gravitating this way.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Are there any artists today that have that kind of
impact like the Beatles did or Jimmy Hendrix did, because
so many of the guitar greats will say I heard
Jimmy Hendricks and then I knew, I knew, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Artist today?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
For me, Tyler Childers his way up there. He sounds
like Bob Dylan to me, but with a cowboy hat.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I don't know. I can't really think of anybody either
that really hit that nerve like the Beatles did with me.
Of course, I'm an old bastard. There you go.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
You know what's sad is to look back at artists
like the Beatles and the Stones and the first music
that they put out and pushed it towards American radio
and realize that if those artists were new and young
and releasing those first singles to radio today, do you
know what radio would do? What they'd go, No, we're
not playing that, No, no, no audience appeal.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
I don't know, because you know what, all of those
artists would have gone viral on social media and then
the radio stations. Had I picked it up, then the
radio would have had they would have all gone viral.
I always think about like the magic of the Beatles
because my brother, she must have been maybe six years
old when he first heard the Beatles and he fell

(08:45):
in love with them and was just obsessed with the Beatles.
And there are certain artists that have that impact on kids.
Michael Jackson was one of them, where they just fall
in love and then for the rest of their lives
they're obsessed with those artists.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Well that's good point change my life. It's the reason
I'm doing what I'm doing today because I wasn't good
enough to be a musician, so when you were.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Ten, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
You're a good musician, dude.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Not only are you going to be back on a
bicycle in the new Year, you're going to be back
on freaking stage too. I bet money off.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Eventually, eventually we'll get there.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
What is your favorite song to sing on stage? Bo hmmm,
one day you'd go, oh, man.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Maybe Shaky Ground by the Temptations. Yeah, we do the
ship out of Shaky Gus. Yeah, we do Shaky Ground.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Is that on YouTube?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Probably not? Oh wait, there's there's a video of us
at the Dallas International Guitar Show.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Oh may not be able to hear it right now.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
No.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
On my old go Pro seven camera at home, I
have practically the entire set you and Jimmy did opening
up for Blue Oyster Cult. I stood down there front
row and filmed damn near the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Well, that was a bash and only Blue Oyster Cult.
It was Heart and Eddie Money and I think Don
Felder was there too.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
But when I saw it was you guys backed right
up against Blue Oyster Cult, I'm like, there's no fucking
way I'm missing this.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I gotta go.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I went by myself.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Screw y'all.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
I'm not gonna do your begging. Hey, I got an
extra ticket. Nope, I'll see you guys after the show.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Good going good?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, that was a good time.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I can't find it, so I'll have to it's on there.
Spend more time.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
You have to search stone cold sweat.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
I think I would go to the State Bear Texas
last corny.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Dog get you one last day? You going tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Tomorrow, I've got the walk to end Alzheimer's. I have
to be out there at seven thirty, right, and then
I'm in Bedford for the Terrance County Sheriff's Department's job Fair.
I'll be out there just as soon as I wrap
up in uh walks a hatchie. So it's gonna be
a really long day. I don't think I can make
it out. I think I'm gonna be like you at
the Paul McCartney show. I think I'm gonna be I'm

(10:59):
ready for.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
I'm glad you mentioned because I was going to let
debris use my media pass.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Oh excellent. Yeah, I don't want to leave that behind,
Miss Bill. No.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
I hooked up our friend h Ray Watson to go
with his friends tomorrow. I was going to go with him,
but I got hired to host a grand Escape. There
is a touring Fleetwood Mac tribute called Fleetwood Journey of
All Things.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Oh I've seen them.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
They played some Journey songs and then play some Fleetwood
Max song. Yeah, they're pretty good.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
They're kicking it headlining on that big ass stage tomorrow night.
And they invited me out to host.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Okay, this is good for what me and three people?
Oh yeah, all right?

Speaker 2 (11:38):
And then the parking pass is crucial. You want to
go to Gate three and parking media. Otherwise, last Sunday
we sat in line behind cars waiting to park for
over an hour.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
I'm kind of like the Rolling Stones show at the
Cotton Bowl.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yeah yeah, Ray brought that up.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
That's what I wanted.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Maybe I'm gonna give her the goddamn tickets.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Then, no, use the parking pass, for God's sakes, Deborah,
use the parking pass.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
No, for God's sakes. When it's time to go, goddamn it, go,
Let's get out of here. Don't take another thirty minutes
to PREMP. Let's get the fuck on the road. You
sound married. Yeah. See y'all. Y'all got me said off,
just set me off. That was my goal. Hope you're

(12:28):
proud of yourself. Damn it, damn I.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Had a good time hanging out with you crazy people today.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Man. Let's go have a weekend, shall Let's go. Thanks
for tuning in. We love y'all.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
