Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the after show decompression session, doing what they do best,
glapping their gums.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Okay, we're back that. You know, these shows blow by
really fast sometimes. That was by far the number one
fastest this show has ever well blasted in front of
my eyes.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
It's when you're really busy, like we are in here,
because we're busy from the time we get here early
in the morning till the time the show goes on
until it goes off.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
And how nice was Billy Gardell, Molly Fame, Bob Dude, Abola.
He was just he was so grateful too. Yeah, he
was like, thank you guys so much for having me on.
It was like, no, thank you for coming up early
on a Friday morning.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
And it came with Ben Creed, an old friend of
this show.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, and it was good to see Ben because the
last time he was in here he was kind of
popping back from a little bit of a body injury. Yeah,
and the kind of slow he hurt his foot and
he's looking much better. He looks a little smaller too. Yeah,
do you notice that?

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Well, Ben, I don't know if Billy Gardell was all
in on coming up, but Ben Creed said, don't worry.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
He's not a douchebag. He's cool.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
And they came all the way from Fort Worth.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
So that's the other thing. It's like sometimes the comedians.
I was like, I'm not gonna wake up early on
a Friday after a show.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Some of them don't.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
We tried to get Big Jay Olkerson in here one time,
getting out firely for I don't god, Dawn.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
But no, they came in. They drove from Fort Worth.
They probably enjoyed the drive, the two together. They said
the traffic wasn't too bad. Yeah, this way, but going
back to Fort Worth they probably we're gonna get some
bad traffic. But no, Ben, he surprised me because I
didn't know he was coming either.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I didn't either.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Oh my god, Yeah, our old bod Ben.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Creed had a big old dip of skull or something going.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
To yes see that I didn't see him spit maybe
bottom live stick it.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I think it was an old one that he just
hadn't gotten rid of yet.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Well, if you got skull in, you're gonna have to
spit sooner or later.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I know you ever tried that. Yeah, oh yeah, we
get sick.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I used to uk you tobacco with my father whenever
we would go fishing when I was a youngs wow,
and we'd have spitting contest.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
I used to joke around with the guys in South
Texas where I went to high school, because they would
have the dip package in their back pocket and it
would leave the ring. It would leave that ring, yeah,
And I was like, that's a mighty big condom, man,
who was it.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I had a friend of mine that would carry around
a spit cup and if there was a woman that
happened to come by, she would be grossed out and
say I'm getting the hell out, oh man.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
There was a brand of dipping tobacco a long time
ago called Silver Creek. Remember that, No, okay, silver Creak.
At the time, it was a brand new brand. I
was a drummer in marching band in high school and
we were at this music store doing a drum section
thing at night. So we get done and we're all
sitting on the curb waiting for our parents to pick
us up. I'm sixteen fifteen maybe, and my buddy goes,

(03:00):
you want to try some dip, you know, and you
put a little in there, And I was like, sure,
I'm cool. I'll put and I put some dip in
and I spit and all that and the spit started
to build up in my mouth. And then my father
pulled up right in front of our face. So what
did I do? You swallowed it?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Gold?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Did you woof your cookies? I got in the car.
We got a mile down the road, and I felt
and my dad had to pull over.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
No, you can't. You can't swallow tobacco.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
I have never touched dip since then. I'll never forget
that taste, combined with the fact that I was about
to puke.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Ugh.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
No, but I used to chew tobacco with my dad
in a boat when we'd be out there, like like.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Chaw like lea.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Supposed to relax you? Or what does it do?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Nicotine?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Listen if you're not used to it, it gives you a
little high. Oh yeah, nicotine will give you a little
bit high. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
It's an addiction, just very much like cigarettes, well very
much so.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
But it also causes mouth cancer.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, old dude, No more. Let's see who's on the
phone here? Oh them show?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
What's the show?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Top there? Day?

Speaker 4 (04:08):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Steve's been loft house to talk? Yell, we'll go.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Oh god, Yeah, you have no idea?

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Hearken cohnin and what's his name? Was?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Don Felder? Don Felder?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
And stick what he did that?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
What do you do to? Eight fortye?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
No, at eight forty We're going to have tickets to
see Zach Sabbath at Tannehill's Tavern on Friday the thirteenth.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, yeah, I heard about a CD coming out. All
all the memories are gone stept for one member Young.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
And Brian Johnson.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, Angus and Brian are the two originals. And then
George Young is on rhythm guitar, which is he wasn't
an original member, but when his brother Malcolm died, brother
George came in and he fits pretty good. That's gonna
be a good show.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
I guess. I guess the brothers that I thought, that's
my dad.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Owever, Malcolm Young died.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Phil Rudd, the drummer, has been in a holy shipload
of trouble with the law. So in the fact that
he lives in New Zealand, it makes it really hard
for him to leave the country if he's in trouble
with the law. And then Cliff Williams, the original bass player,
he retired a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
When you've had enough, you've had yeah, doing a long
time now.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
I'm already put in a request.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Angus Young still has long hair, but it's white now
instead of brave few.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
It will be long after.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Toured nineties and early two thousands, there was some stuff
out there with the Black Eyes too and whatnot, but
really not much since they've gotten older, didn't they do?

Speaker 4 (05:51):
What was the one in California?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Power Up?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yes, not the Power Up. It was that big tour
festival we gave tickets away.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Oh, it was like a Monsters of Rock looking Yeah,
in California.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
They had to get themselves there. But that was in
October of twenty twenty three, and that was a one off.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
That was a one r. Yeah, that's right, Yeah, Steve,
