Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, we are tired of pokaing. We're going to
lose this stupid accent and try to get along with
our after show detail.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
What that Schodenheimer polka is an earworm? That's funny back
in my head. You're going to be humming it all
day long. You won't you won't remember the words, but
I'll do it here and then and then.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
According did you.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Notice it sounded kind of like super califragilistic.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
It fits, doesn't it like a glove? Oh god?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
That's all right.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
So how many people.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Do you know we're super disappointed by the announcement that
Schodenheimer was going to be the head coach.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
A bunch of them, I know, a bunch of them
are saying what you guys?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
My bestie in San Francisco Cowboys fan through and through.
He posted on social media right after the announcement him
going to his front door, grabbing his welcome matt, which
is a Dallas Cowboys welcome mat, rolling it up and
throwing it of the trash. He goes, I'm out. Jerry
Jones made the stupidest decision.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Well, he did it because he didn't want to have
to pay a buttload of money to another coach who
has a track record, which mister Schottenheimer does not have.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, he needs to, you know, be a head coach first.
And that's what a lot of fans wanted. They wanted
somebody who had that experience. But there's been a lot
of assistant coaches that have had success, right, Yeah, the Cowboys,
no no, no, no, no, no leave after leaving the Cowboys

(01:34):
assistant coaches that have gone on to do great.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yes, that's because they didn't have Jerry Jones leaning on.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Dude, I say do what I say, do it, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Thank you. Okay, we'll make the announcement now. And I
hate to do it, but Halo's sister passed away, Yeah,
Saturday night, and so you may take some time off
at the end of this week.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Were planning you were planning on going to Georgia again
because you went over the holidays, and I'm so glad
you did.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah. The plan was is to take about four days
Friday through Monday, run home and do some visit time
with the family.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So that means somebody has to fill your shoes while you're.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Gone, that's right, And we've never really had somebody just
in the pocket. We got people down the hall that
we know could do it if we could orient them
right and all that, but we've never had somebody. And
I think what we're doing starting this morning is we're
having a real backup that's ready for us anytime, I guess,
except when the Cowboys get really busy. We might have

(02:37):
to wrestle with the Cowboys over the availability of this
man to my left.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Gentlemen, mister Daniel, thank you, so you think you can
handle this ship.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
I think you know big big shoes.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Experience as a producer because you produced a USA morning show.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah that was for gosh what fifteen years doing the
news and a magazine show for four years or a
four hour magazine show.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Helped me with KFXR. A lot of the shows counted
on you as a producer.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Plus men didn't help much, though I did.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Mister Miles here also works with the Cowboys during the season,
which he got some time off early this year. Didn't Yeah, don't.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I didn't quite get that playoff.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Check.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Well, well, exactly how long you've been doing that and
what exactly do you do?

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Thirty this will be or this year was my thirty
first year twenty six in the booth twenty five of
them was with Brad Sham and Babe Lafenberg as their producer.
This past year, I went, I went national. I went
to Westwood One, cool so doing the but still doing
the Cowboy games for National radio Westwood one.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Okay, rather than the Cowboys Radio. Rather the Cowboys their pocketbook.
Didn't they better?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Damn?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
It doesn't money talk?

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Yes, it does.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
It talks very loudly.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
It talked very loudly. It was bittersweet to leave Brad
and Babe, but money talks.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Time.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
I see them every weekend. We're on the same flight.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
You know, Christie Scales.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Scales think about now. The thing about broadcasting, especially sports broadcasting.
You know, the flags of stations of many teams, whether
it's baseball, they maybe last four or five years altogether,
and then they move. Brad, Babe and Christie. Before I left,
we were and Bob Thomas, the longtime statistician. They've all

(04:52):
been together since the late eighties early nineties. That's unheard of.
It is great team to Oh, I mean, I'm biased,
but yeah, second second to none.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I think Brad and Babe Lathenburg get along pretty good.
It sounds like they do they're great.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I know so many people that would turn the sound
down on the TV to watch a Cowboy game. Sure,
and they would listen on the radio.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
There's a compliment right there.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
See. Unfortunately you can't do that now because of all
the streaming, and you know, it depends on who your
provider is.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
There might be a delay.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
You know, there's a big delay. Back in the day,
the big delays were like Monday night games, it was
maybe a maybe a fourteen fifteen second delay at the most.
Now it's forty five second depending on.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
What organet Jackson and Justin Timberlay.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Well, no, actually is from the second Yeah, so yeah,
I mean it was. It's it's fun. It's a fun
part of the broadcasting the world that that too is
ever changing.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Well do they treat you pretty good? Yes? Okay, good good?
That's important.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yes, that's the bottom line, doing less work for twice
the money.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, that deserves a right.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Hell yeah, Well you do a great job. You always have.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I just want to say that we don't want you
to think that, oh, we're just bringing you on board
this one time because Ao had a member of his
family pass away. We want we want to make you
into the guy that we got in the back pocket,
and we can give a call to if for some reason.
I definitely we can't be five of us.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
I am. I am so honest.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
We are so happy to have you here. And I
wasn't even sure if like you and Anna knew each other.
I knew you and Bone knew each other. What I
am for me?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
When I mentioned his name to Anna, I mentioned his
name to Anna, and Anna went, oh, that would be
great to have Danny in here. So we're all super
happy to have you. We know you, we've had fun
with you before. You're already a part of the family,
so now it's just official.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
And you've worked with Anna before.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
He was like my right hand with kfx R. You know,
now I have Ronaldo, but Danny for years.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
What'd you do with your left hand?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I didn't tell you, but then I'd have to kill
you that.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
You might get some ideas.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
What's so funny is when I first moved here. I
moved here back in eighty three, so I've been wow.
But my first shows were two shows, two shows if
you wanted two you guys in the morning. Oh yeah, yeah,
Well actually three shows, and then you had Stevens and Pruett,

(07:43):
and then you had Label and Rody. Yes, those were
the three main shows. So well, I'm showing my age.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
What did you do at Q one O two because
I no.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
No, no, no, I just remember listening to Q.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
He's a fan.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
You were at United stations.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
You know. I was a fan of you, of Q
O two. Just for the Christmas parties.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Oh god. You know it was even funner was when
they had it at the station.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
And there was a cooler left or a spiggot left
of almost a full keg of beer. And by seven
fifteen we was toe up from the floor, dancing.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
On the tables and the whole. Yeah, that was the
always the Friday before the holidays, Yes, before the Christmas,
and it.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Was just the staff. That was the beauty of those
old days.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Staff and friends, every person from the radio station.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Well with the clients were there too, so you had
to kind of the.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Whole appreciate they were there. Okay, Well, welcome aboard, son.
I think it's a like a glove and I think
to agree with me.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
He's been part of the iHeart family for a long time.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yea, so will need him.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, you know, we used to have backups, but now
everybody's you know, stretched to the limits.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
The pandemic took care of that, and then after the
pandemic a few people got hired back and including me.
And it's kind of like just when you think you
out the.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Man. Yeah, so you're gonna like spend the rest of
this week kind of getting Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah, we're going to train Monday through Thursday together as
we did this morning.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
He's learning how to help Anna get the time Wasters published.
He's learning how to run this little Facebook camera that
I got going right now. He is already a great
recording engineer and audio editor. I watched him do some
work earlier. We really don't have to teach Danny any
of the stuff that we do for this morning show.
We just have to help him knock a little bit
of the rust off because he's been doing some different

(09:52):
work for a while. That's all.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Yeah, Well, there's no rust on there.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
There is certain anymore. It's different working.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Shit, yeah, but it goes by super fast.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
It's fun. It's fun work. That's so it's different. It's
not work.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yeah, right, was that bullshitting and the show went by
like that, didn't it.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
You know what's great for people on Facebook Live. What's
great about this is I've known these guys forever, but
I've never really worked on air with them. Yeah, the passion.
You always talk about finding a job with passion. It's
not work. Trust me, this is not work.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
It's not this is all wouldn't too fast.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
All wouldn't have been been doing this for as long
as if if it became a.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Job, well, yeah, the same way stops being fun.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Right when it stops being fun, you have to put
up with too much shit, then I'll retire. I don't
want to retire just yet. No, Jimmy was ready to retire.
I'm not quite ready to retire.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I hope it's not quiet. I hope you got a
good ten years left in you. Couldn't you see him
doing this at eighty one eighty two, just coming in
here and just rocking everybody else.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
She's only twenty five.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
That's true.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah, just raised several times over. Hey, good morning from
what the fuck?

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Well? Listen o, man, if you're feeling brave, there's a
couple of people calling. I don't know that's yeah, sure,
let's try.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Here we go, let's see what's hello? Boe and them
Joe is both.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Yes, it was going on.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Man, This is Manuel from La Grange.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Manuel from the Grange Grain. Did you go over there
to the chicken ranch and get you some puff?

Speaker 3 (11:43):
My dad did.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
My father did on several occasions.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
He's got the proof, the proof I do.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Oh yeah, hey, I'm sorry about your labor. I've been
working so much, but the best of us fall down
all the time. Yeah. Well, as long as you hang
with us, we're here for you in case you need
to get some ship off your chest. Oh no, not jet. Hey,
I was wondering, did Jethrow to come out with a
new album. I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
But if they think they were coming out with something,
we had it in the Time Wasting.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Ian Anderson that had some music coming out and am
I thinking wrong?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah, it's and if Jethrow comes out with a new album,
probably nobody's gonna give a shit because jethro Toe was
my first concert ever.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
So okay, so yes, we did have this on the
Time Wasters. They announced their twenty four studio album, Curious Remnant,
and they've already released the video for the title track.
So if you go to the Bow and Them show page,
it is up.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Okay, Okay, there you go. Yeah that work because I
can't listen to the show in the morning because I'm
a word. Oh your boss is a dick. Huh.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Well, Manuel, you know that we post by like eleven am.
Every weekday we post a podcast that's a full replay
of the entire morning show. We do that every day.
You know that, right?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, I got that.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I'm okay.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
So the Jet Throw The Jet Throw Tull album will
be out Friday, March seventh, Manuel, hot damn son.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
I wanted to Randy. Yeah, well thanks for calling man,
call back again.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Sometimes you mean the award winning newscaster Randy Jays.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
That's right, Randy.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
A whole won an award, a bunch of them.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
He did him. Good for Randy.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
So now it's kind of like all those actors Oscar nominated,
Grammy nominated. We're gonna have to say, award winning, award
winning James.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
That's right. Just a nomination alone is a cool thing.
But congrats to Randy. Welderserve.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
We ought to find a time to call his ass
before he goes on the air because he's busy when
he goes on.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
The Yeah, you know what, I'll touch base because he
texted me last night all touch base with him.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Yeah, that's the one we can call and just congratulate
him and say hey, up yours again.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
What is it he m JC or something like that.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
It's a Fresno news news talk right cam jizz com jizz.
That's what Bo's computer is on in the other room
right now, is cam jizz.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Yes, welcome to coumjizz radio.

Speaker 4 (14:31):

Shopmah okay, amj It.

Speaker 1 (14:45):

listening to com jizz radio.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
You're the news, Randy James, Randy Dick Grease.

Speaker 2 (15:03):

name with Bo Roberts.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Oh yeah, Randy and the Royd Liquors or something I
called it something.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yes, what kind of music scrubbers?

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Somebody said that was their favorite?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
What kind of music would we hear on comjiaz radio?

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Come sail Away, that's great, Come as you.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Are, Come on, feel the noise, Come as you are.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Come on, Eileen, come on.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
That's a song literally about shooting your watch and then
wipe her off if you don't mind. On that note,
are you sure you want.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
To do this?

Speaker 4 (15:46):
Stroke me? Stroke?

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh god? I thought you should meet the new guy
who's going to be taking over over al.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
That's right, I'm hitting the road Friday, and all of
next week is kind of up in the air right now,
because Rosalind actually did pass something that we're grateful for
because she's finally out of pain and suffering and all that,
and her kids are doing great with us too. But
all in next week we're going to plan something small
and intimate, a memorial for my sister. We're probably going

(16:18):
to be able to knock that out in the time
that I'm there, and so I should only be gone
about a week or so.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
But you had what Parkinson's for like ten years.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
She had ten years worth of Parkinson's, and she fought
it with two big double broadswords, and she did great.
And then about five weeks ago she had a series
of small strokes and that kind of erased all the
progress and hard work that she had done fighting Parkinson's.
All of a sudden, the Parkinson's was going one hundred
miles an hour, but it was Ultimately, it was the
strokes that she had about five weeks ago that ended

(16:50):
her life. But she is free and not suffering anymore,
and her family underneath her is an incredible one. And
we're all coming together in Georgia this week.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Candidate to you just be there for everybody.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
You got it. I appreciate the love and support from
you all, and you all get me a really nice
card this morning too, and thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
And Danny, welcome to the day here again.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
I am honored.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yes, thank you, Danny.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
You should be ashamed, is what you should be.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
My family thanks you, just like they think bowing out
of here. My family thanks you for the help. We're
damn glad to have you on board. Son. All right, welcome.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
We'll see in the studio right where you're standing, right now,
all right, all right,
