(00:00):
It is Carter Smiley. Wow,what a game that Carter certainly had.
So uh yeah, we'll uh we'llget this talk now. You got the
headset on, so let's do it. Uh. You know. Obviously,
big score right here, winning atsixty one to fourteen. And remember with

(00:21):
the Mohawk game, it was kindof a slower start and we were talking
to your teammate, Butch Brodman aboutthat and he was saying, yeah,
we've we got to come out harder, faster. Obviously you did that against
peugh Sours last week with the sixtythree to nothing win and then to nine.
Wow, you guys were just reallyclicking. What can you say about
just the type of start that youguys have and how you really are looking

(00:41):
to find out all the way tothe end. Yeah, I mean,
I think we all just wanted tocome out here and we just really want
to show then ten you know whatwe got and we're kind of you know,
just like versus Mohawk, we cameout, came out flat, and
we weren't real satisfied with it,and it's been a big focus point of
us to come out and just putit to early. Yeah, we see
that and Carter, we know.I mean, obviously you're a starting quarterback

(01:03):
for this team. You were takingoff for running with the ball a lot,
obviously catching your teammates. So withthe passes, well, I have
a really nice one of dominicator fora touchdown. But also you're playing the
defense coming up with the interceptions. You had the one pick there and then
obviously at the end of pick six, so you're playing pretty much the whole
game. How has that been goingfor you this year? Seems like,

(01:25):
yeah, you're in five shape, like you're have enough energy to play another
game right now. Yeah, Imean, I mean a lot of a
lot of work on the off seasongot me to the point where I could
play both ways. The coaches alwayshelped me out, you know, where
I can take a little short cutshere and there, and that helps me
be able to play both ways outof maybe have energy to do it.
Yeah, you're doing so great.Got three of your first four passes for

(01:49):
touchdowns, as you mentioned, afast start there, and then Eli Einstein
doing the work your offensive line.I mean, look like you had all
the protection you wanted all night long. And then Eli Stein as well,
you know, with being able topretty much run at will up the middle.
Yeah, I mean, Eli,he does a really good job of

(02:10):
just opening up our offense for us. I feel like you just always got
to be accounting for him, andwe have a lot of other weapons.
Connor Nordon means you got butch.I mean we were rotating people in and
out. We have like nine peoplegetting the ball, so you can't really
game plan for one person. Soyeah, and you completed I think five
different receivers tonight, Sam Cole,Doug Pinkerton, Alex putting them Trip Phoenix

(02:31):
on a big fifty three yard playand Dominic Yator and the wind actually was
pretty tough. You guys had theyou know the wind at you're back to
start. That seemed like a bigkey as well. Yeah, if you
just I mean to me, Ididn't really feel too bad down there,
and I felt confident my throes andI felt like my receivers were there and

(02:53):
we got it done early. Yep, you were really on target tonight.
So congratulations guy who's have a biggame coming up next week? I think
Seneca East right now they're losing, but still obviously huge for you guys to
go undefeated and maintain sole possession.Of first place. Yeah, that's what

(03:15):
we're really going for. That, that's what we have our eyes on right
now, and everything ahead of that, we're just we want intent first.
You're gonna enjoy this one tonight atall? Or are you going to go
right back to film tomorrow? Imean, well, we'll enjoy it through
at tonight, but we wake upmar it's new week. It's Thank East
week. That's right, with anopportunity to win the Intent title outright against

(03:36):
the Seneca East Tigers. If youdo that, obviously, Colonel Crawford would
not be able to catch you.Just one last thing card because I mean
you're a senior player and you've beenaround for a while, obviously a part
of the state championship run from acouple of years ago. Third straight intent
title which you secured here again, you could do it out right next week
as best as you can after youknow, playing a football game for us.

(03:58):
Just how you can sort of putin perspective just this type of run
you guys have been on. Imean, I just I think a lot
of it starts with coaching. Theyset us up game after game, I
mean, just putting us in theright spots and we all trust in our
coaches really well, and as ateam out there, we just feel comfortable.
We messed really well after the firsttwo weeks. I mean, I
feel like we're just messed together reallywell, and I trust everybody out there.

(04:19):
Yeah, well, the trust factoris certainly there and we see it,
and you've obviously been doing a greatjob in really all areas. So
it's just been a really fun towatch you. So congratulations Carter on the
win, and hey, good luckto you in Attica next week and obviously
we'll be seeing you for the playoffs. Thank you, guys, all right,
thank you Our Kimbell Corporation Player ofthe Game, Carter Somiley offense,

(04:43):
defense, fantastic. All right,thank you,
