Speaker 1 (00:00):
Illiams County, a trip of more than one hundred miles

(00:03):
lasting two plus hours.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
So they are here and they're ready to go.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
The Ederton team has a sixty four record coming off
a road lost to defiance to noir To in the
regular season. That final was twenty four to nothing. The
Mohawk Warriors are in this contest in our home field
and their village of Sycamore wide Dog County. This Mohawk
team enters the game with an eight and two record,
coming off in twenty one thirteen victory in Attica versus
the Seneca East Tigers. That win resulted in Mohawk winning

(00:29):
the outright championship for the Northern Ten Athletic Conference. Is
the second intent title for the Warriors, original members of
the INN ten, which started in twenty fourteen. The Ederton
Bulldogs are members of the Green Meadows Conference. Team finished
fourth in the GMC, a conference that has been around
since nineteen sixty two. Ederton has been a member since
nineteen seventy five. Head coach for Enterton is Brody Flegel

(00:53):
in its fifth season and the HC for Mohawk is
Eric Daniel in his sixth. The Ederton players to their
road while uniforms designed with maroon and gold, and the
Mohawk players wearing their home black unis featuring red and black.
They're on the field, getting ready to get this thing going.

(01:14):
So the Mohawk Warriors are ready to kick it all first.
So Ederton receives first, and the Mohawk Warriors will be
defending the West Goal Warriors.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Sun completely set now, just kind of a dark rim
of clouds edged by a thin thing. But the lights
are bright here for Friday night under the lights, Friday
night football. You gotta love it here, first round of
the playoffs. Forty eight degrees is our game time temperature.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, very comfortable, forty eight degrees. Yeah, it's probably gonna
get chilliers the night goes along, but everybody's gonna be
ready for it, no doubt about it. All right. So
the Mohawk Warriors, we're going to kick things off with Braxton.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
For fifty time temperature.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Here a Warrior review.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
He looks over to the right, he's approaching. Here he comes,
swings through with the right foot. We are underway. Kick
taken from the twenty five yard line from Brandon Lepelmeyer. Oh,
he rips away from one tackler, but the Warriors stop
him shy of the.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Forty yard line.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
It looked like Hayden Parker was among the tacklers there
for the Mohawk Warriors. So we'll see what happens here
with the quarterback Manni's Baker ready to go for this team.
As we heard, Eric Daniel, the head coach for Mohawk
li likened him to syndicate yest star quarterback Parks, So
we'll see. Well we're able to get here tonight, Nick Parks.

(02:47):
He's obviously a very big talent for the Tigers. Matt's Baker.
He is a fine player for this interesting little tall team.
So here we go, first and ten, thirty eight yard line,
right in the middle of the field. Hilpermar He is
the center. Immediately some movement prior to the snaps.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
So uh ohen Patrese's ready to go. But that was
that was guard jumping off side there fresh five yard
walk on.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Wow, So there you go. Yeah, they're excited to uh,
trying to snuff it out, but five yards just giving
up to entertain. So it makes it first and five
from the forty three yard line and Motion Krons quarterback
at the stam Hanson off two Krons and the Warriors
are able to gobble them up right around the forty

(03:44):
five yard line. Kind of gotten some for progress there
to the forty seven.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
The Warriors we know hens to the ball.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
That's a big part of how they play this game
of football, especially on defense.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, they love to get those tackles for a law
four yard pick up there for Krons and he averages
seven point three yards of carry three hundred and five
yards on the season coming into the ball game. But
look for Bohawk once they've seen things a few times
to get into more of that tackle for lost mode.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Second and one from the forty seven yard line. The
quarterback handed off here to Kuran' to left side. Oh
and he is tripped up there by Caleb Bish for
the Bullhawk Warriors, the seniors on them with the tle.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, real nice play there by Fish. He came up
and kept him cutting it towards the inside and then
fought through the defender and made an ankle tackle short
of the first down. So it's going to be third
and about a half a yard for the first down yardage.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yes, not even the full yard, but yeah, they called
officially third and one forty seven yard line. Quarterback has
the snap handed off to the right side. Here come
walk up their star and the Warriors are on him,
but he's got enough to midfield. Matthew's Hannah Accurra first
down for Enterton the Bulldog so happy to get Joel

(05:11):
walk up back in unifom.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, he got that first down yardage, but he almost
lost the ball as Caleb Bish came in there, had
it ripped about halfway back out of his arm. Just
shows the strength of walk up. He was able to
wrap his other arm around it and pull it back
away from Bish before he took possession and got the
first down.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
First drive of this game, it's Enterton with the ball
at midfield. Drive started at the thirty eight. So here
we go first hand ten O one in motion. It's
Crown's quarterback Baker as a snap hands it off, walk
up again, and I saw Garrett ran hard in there,
walk up under his legs stupped him around the forty

(05:53):
eight yard line that appears where they are spotting the ball.
So a couple of yards picked up there for a
walk up of enter two.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yeah, real nice job by the defense. They are slowly
acclimating themselves here now Edgerton into Mohawk territory, but Mohawk
looking tough on defense, slowing this rushing game down.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Second, an eight forty eight yard line quarterback has a snap,
hands it off to the left side sent Chez, and
the roof has The Warriors are all there to stop them.
And then Klowns is among the tacklers there for the
Mohawk Warriors. He seems like he is always in the
mix doing a fine job for the Warriors. So yeah,

(06:40):
loss of a yard there makes it third down to
nine from the forty nine yard line.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Big six six, two hundred and eighty five pound Brady
Kaufman also helped on that tackle. He comes out on
this play an obvious passing down situation. See if they
can get some pressure on this quarterback.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
All right, as a couple of players shifting here, including
Gibson quarterback as a snap hands it off left side
to Karantz, flag comes up. The initial hit right there
for the Mohawk wears was Caden bish But we'll see
about the penalty.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I'm not sure if it's a procedure or.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
A flag going to play.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Could be uh, they're waving off the flag.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Oh, hold ong, they declined. Then there it is.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Territory.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Eric Daniel say, yes, well we'll let it be fourth down.
That's okay.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Fourth and seven is good.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
From you from the defensive perspective, absolutely all right. So
fourth and seven from forty seven yard line across midfield
and Drewton first drive of this game, eight fourteen to
go in the first.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Quarter, this first round playoff game.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Every twenty sixth quarter has his snack, he drops back,
rolling forward and courtsey arm down field. Let's see other
readjustment in the cat.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
It's made near.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
The twenty yard line by cronch Scotny Krantz. He's got
the experience, he's got the hands, and it's a Matthew's hunt.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Accurate first down for Edgerton.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Wow, that was a special play early on twenty three
yard pickup all the way down to the twenty four.
But yeah, very good defense on that one. The receiver
did a real nice job coming back for that ball.
Otherwise it could have been intercepted.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
First and ten from the twenty four yard line. Enterton
with the ball, quarterback has his net, takes off a run.
Does Baker spins away from one, but then multiple Warriors
are able to jump on top of him. Baker, we
get that tackle, including Caine Hayman with the tackle. Second
down is so good to have Hayman back out there

(08:56):
for the Warriors. And obviously with Caleb Bish so many
people knowed the Mohawk Warriors. There's a different team when
they're out there able to play on both sides of
the ball. So second down and six from the twenty
yard line, get to the rent zone, entered in with
the poll. First drive one in motion, a quarterback fakes

(09:17):
the handoff, drops back, hands good protection, but it breaks
down here from sheephal Lear joins the get out of
but he sets up a pass on the foreside cotton
by Sanchez and then it looks like he may have
been knocked out a bounce inside the fifteenchez.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, he's going to be about three yards shy of
the first down. So second and three after the seven
yard reception.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Hellen Sanchez, he's one who's really dangerous. After he catches
the ball, he's got the moves. So third down and
two from the sixteen acre with the snap, hands it
off right side, walk up and he's tackled there by
Caleb Bish right at the fifteen.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Oh welcome, a real nice job, Mowen. Patrizi also helping
out on that one, and it's gonna be fourth and two.
Looks like they're going for it all the way, Kurt,
there's really no time about it here. Walker tried reaching
that ball forward and he's got to be careful with that,
because Mohawk knows this team has fumbled fifteen times this season.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Four down one from the fifteen yard line, trying to
come up with a first down here to get an
early score, potentially on the road Ederton and let's see,
we're gonna get fresh funeral credit union time ount here.
Still no score. First drive of the game, six thirty

(10:46):
three to go in the first Mohawk Enterton not Magic
thirty five dons.

Speaker 9 (11:58):
More bad news for sci fi fans. As to quote Queen,
another one bites the dust. Orphan Black Echoes, a spin
off of the critical and commercial hit Orphan Black, has
been canceled by AMC after a single season. Kristin Ritter
and Avan Jogia star in the thriller, which ended its
run in August. This follows a series of sci fi
show cancelations this year, including Netflix's Dead Boy Detectives the
Appolite and Disney Plus paramount pluses Halo and Wolfpack and

(12:21):
Constellation on Apple TV Plus, which angered the show's fan bases.
Frustrated at platforms for not giving the series time to
find their audiences. There's even a change dot org petition
asking Netflix to bring back Dead Boy Detectives, which has
over fifteen thousand signatures. For now, both Orphan Black Echoes
and its parent show continue to stream on AMC Plus,
and the other shows are still available on their respective platforms.

(12:42):
All right, and that's what's popping on camps.

Speaker 8 (12:45):
On iHeartRadio, the Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of
the Week.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
While you were gone, the Mohawk Warriors were able to
stop a fourth and one from the fifteenth, so Mohawk
takes over on downs and then they get a six
yard game.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Cayden bish on.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
The first down for the Mohawk Warriors, so we're looking
at a second down and four as the cornerback Ben
Bogner runs the left side of five Years of the
Stiff Farm and then.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Slides out of the mount right near.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
The twenty nine yard line.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
It's like they're spotting that Boatom just.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
A yard shot. I think Kurt there. It is the
twenty eight, so I think his foot must have gone
out of bounds, just shy of where he actually landed.
Tough to see down there with the players right along
the sideline of course, between the thirties.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Third town hands one from the twenty yard line. Oh,
there was some movement there to look like for Edderton.
But here comes the run for Ben Boger, fighting the
ball as they are just hanging on for dear life
as he takes it across the twenty five yard lie. Wow,
that was a strong play with Jackson Flower. He just

(14:06):
did everything he could to try to get him to
the ground. Ultimately did, but not before the Matthew's on
the Jiro first Town for the Mohawk Warriors.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I've been Bogner, Yeah, get at least eight of those
yards to Braxton Jenkins and then Brady Kaufman. They were
helping push that pile forward and Bogner kept moving the legs.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Or cent ten forty seven yard line, swinging to the
right side. Can Hayman puts on the moves and it
gets across the forty five across midfield. Caine Hayman just
sending to woman in the flat and he's able to
put on the moves. And I know Hayman who has
been a four year player for Mohawk, he was really
excited to play in this game.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
And yeah, he showing it right there, big nine yard pickup.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
So that's second town hands one from the forty four
yard time. All right, still no score. First driving the
game for Mohawk. After stopping Ederton in the red zone,
it comes the quarnerback from the snap.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Here Bogner is darning the arm down the field one.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
On one the best and complete with the fight comes out.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Wow, all kinds of contact on that play of tangled legs,
tangled up, bodies banging, and the flags came in, So
I'm sure we got defensive adherance. He's gonna go against
Scottie Krantz. We've heard his name on offense of course,

(15:35):
their top running back, and he's in the defensive backfield
on defense.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
So yes, that dogs up fifteen yards, says the Bullhog
Warriors have to be pleased with that.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, Coach Brody Flagel.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah, he talked about how dangerous these receivers are. Is
gonna be on high alert. So that plays the ball
at the twenty nine yard line in Edgerton Territory. Mohawk
first and ten with four point thirty three to go
in the first quarter, in the first drive for the Warriors,
and we get a whistle long.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Okay, they're just putting it in play.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
I got it, So step back to Bogner, takes off
and run to the left side and it's dragged out
from behind by Carter Gibson side the twenty five yard time.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Gibson with another five six yards. They pretty much dominated
on that offensive line. They're running left most of the time.
Kurt so good job on the left side of the
offensive line.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yes, makes his second down and five from the twenty
four as we had toward the four minute mark in
the first quarter. No score, mohawk with the bull at home,
first round of the playoffs. Here we go, snap back
to Bogner, run to the right side. He finds a
crease and Boger's on the move and then.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
He gets stopped.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Inside the five. Ben Boger, he does it with his arm,
he does it with his legs, and he's got a
first and goal cooking here for his Warriors.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Twenty yard pickup. He just went right that time. So
both sides of the offensive line bring some huge holes there,
and he's running like a man possessed. He's been carrying
people on a couple of these long runs.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
All right. So first and goal from the three at quarterback,
Bugger gets it off to Caine Hayman and he glides
into the form a touchdown the three yard for Caine Hayman.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Real nice job on the right side, it was, and
in Klaus ceiling off the outside defender and the right
side of the line. Nobody touched him at all, Kirk,
he could have waltzed in backwards.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Touch out. Brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers
co Op. And yeah, we're talking to him this week,
and yeah they all got those mohawk haircuts. He wasn't
necessarily feeling it, but he's like, hey, I'm doing it
for I'm doing it for my team. And as he said,
fortunately it grows back. You can't get these memories back.

(18:07):
And what a nice.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Fine play right there for Kate Hayman.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
So they're gonna get ready for the extra point and
they're star brand kiriy and he has been really good
at this this season.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Heck, he might be shaving it on Sunday if he
gets some more touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Hey, whatever work the week. Whatever works. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Carrion comes in twenty eight to thirty two on extra
point attempts this season.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
And they kick us up and it is all right.
So on our Wilson Tires scoreboard, it is a Bowhawk
seven Drinton zero three, twenty six to go in the
first to Matthews Hondaker Game of the Week. I'm Magic
ninety five to nine and Dieheart Radio.

Speaker 8 (19:51):
The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
Were back in Sycamore.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
The Mohawk Warriors with a seven to nothing lead a
three yard touchdown run Caine Hayman three twenty six ago
in the first quarter of this opening round playoff game
with the Warriors hosting the Enterton Bulldogs. The Mohawk was
able to stop Edgerton's first drive in the ret zone

(20:21):
when the Bulldogs went forward on fourth down.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, O love Grady to get him the bull back.
Real nice drive there. Did most of it on the ground.
They did having a pass attempt and there was some
interference call that was key.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
That's beginning the house a University at Mary and kickoff
here that's taken around the twenty eight yard line and
on the returns and Claire stopped at the thirty five.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Nice hit Jack Sager with the stop. He tried to
stop and pivot. Seger said, no way. He knocked him
to the turf and at the thirty five yard line.
So Hayman with the three yard touchdown. Ron just took
over three minute and four seconds for that touchdrown drive
and as I mentioned, most of it on the ground.
Ben Bogner doing most of the damage. He got thirty

(21:08):
of the yards along the way, a run of ten
and another big run of twenty yards. He ran hard
the redone.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
First and ten from the thirty four yard line. After
two with the ball down seven zip quarterback Maddix Baker
takes off from the snap runs it across the thirty
five so it looks like he got to the thirty
six yard line for a pickup of.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Two right hard with the stop.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Garon Ryan Hard. Yeah, showing that type of physicality that
coacht Daniel wanting to see.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Baker two hundred and forty three yards rushing on the season.
Five touchdowns, so he can do it with his arms
and his legs.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Second down and eight from the thirty six yard line.
What in motion, It's Krawn's quarterback Baker as a snap,
hands it off, walk up left side and bounces out
but cannot get away. Ultimately, Mason ship up finishing off
that tackle for the Mohawk Warriors running at the thirty
six yard line.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
So no game for walk up that time.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, they've done a good job containing walk up so far.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
They're down at seven thirty seven yard line path far
as I caught by Crowns knocked out a bounce by
Shimp near to forty yard line, not enough for a
first down, and needed to get to the forty four
yard line, and got to the forty.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
I think I saw that they will punt it away
if they do choose to punt it. Sanchez averages over
thirty six yards a kick and Herman thirty nine yards
a kick. Looks like Sanchez is going to be the
punter this time.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Yeah. Herman had been their sole punter and then decided
to get Sanchez to join the punning party. And he's
done well, as you noted. So here we go fourth
down and four high staff and he handles it. Then
Jesus isn't able to get it off with the right
foot heading across the thirty five yard line and then
stopped right there at thirty three. All right, well, so

(23:19):
Mohawk able to get yet another stop and the football
with a seven to nothing leads in two o four
to go in this first quarter of this opening round
playoff game.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Just a twenty seven yard kick, so Mohawks starting off
excellent field position again and three and out on that one.
So just a real nice defensive job with first of all,
the fourth line or fourth down stop on the first
drive that ultimately led to their first touchdown of the game.
This is their second drive.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
First and ten thirty three yard line, Bohawk Warriors with
the ball leading at seven to nothing late in this
first quarter, to receive the right two to left quarterbacks
a step book or fakes a handoff to Kates pass
over god by Caleb Bistol. Then the ball comes.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
Out and it's just gonna be incomplete. That's the ruling.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Complete.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah, it took me a while to complete it. An
official that was waving the arms because everyone was kind
of like, uh, should we go for it? And they
they delayed, But finally it was one of the line
judges that had the best view of it from the
far side of the field and he was waving that off,
so just an incompletion on target. Took a long time
for that play to develop, though, Kirk, They're going to

(24:32):
have to get things out a little quicker. Second and
ten from the thirty three.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
I'll try it here at this time Bogner with the
stap yep and he just got to take off and
run with the ball right side and Jackson Flower is
able to wrap him up and bring him down at
the thirty nine yard line. It appears a thirty eight
is where they were spotting it.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Actually already up to thirty six yards on three carries
for Ben Bogner. If you can do it running, that's
going to eat the most clock and of course control
the tempo of the game.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Changing the play.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
At the line of scrimmage, looking over to the sideline,
everyone get on the same page.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Third and four.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
You had just shine the thirty nine yard line, so
we got tripped to the near side. The quarterback Buner
shotgun snap looks near side, catch made by Caleb bish
stiff farm across the forty moves across the forty five,
puts on the.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
Move inside midfield.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
He's losing it and finally gets corralled by Maddox Baker.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Around the forty seven yard line.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
But we do see the pillowy flag back of the
forty in Bhawk territory, and.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
They are calling a face mask against the receiver there.
He stiff armed but kind of grabbed down to the
face mask as he was going by. So I'm not
sure if they will rule this flagrant or not. It
didn't look like he really jerked ahead or anything, but so.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
It is called a personal wo Yeah, he had a
pretty good gripe walk.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
On referee tonight giving us the signals. Kevin Nickleberry replays
burd down first and foremost, keeping control of the game.
Doing a good job out there so far. I haven't
seen anything.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
I disagree with, all right, So yeah, ball back at
the twenty five.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yard line about third and eighteen, I believe, all right.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
So it looks like, uh, we gotta get him ready
to play as we head toward the final minute until
this first quarter as a Boahawk with a seven to
nothing lead, Bogner with the snap rolls to the right,
get some protection from Himinger in the pass under pressure
gets to the kleb pish and use another stiff farmer
at the forty yard line, and yeah, that one is

(27:03):
the clean one apparently. So I got across the forty
yard line to the forty two is where they appear
to be spotting that football at thirty five seconds left.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, just a yard to go for the first down.
Decision time on fourth down? Do they go for it here?
May try and draw them off side, may call a
time out right before. It looks like some confusion out there.
Mohawks does have all of their timeouts left. Should they
choose fourth and one? Yep, they go to Bogner.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
He's confident and that's why he's able to get across
plenty of room across the forty five yard line. Matthews, honak,
you're a first down for the Mohawk corners.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Still a very gutsy call with that kind of field
edition on your own forty two yard line. So just
a real nice job by Bogner. And again he went left,
following the left side of the line. That's going to
be the last play of the Quarner crew.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
So at the end of one it is Mohawks but
and Edgerton zero with the Warriors threatening to score again
as we get ready for the second quarter.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
So glad you're with us for an opening round of.

Speaker 1 (28:09):

Speaker 1 (28:40):

Speaker 12 (28:40):

Speaker 5 (28:58):
It's what I looked to hear. It's not gonna happen
at Matthews Honda and Matthew's Acura said, boy saw it.
Marian Matthews, Honda.

Speaker 12 (29:03):
Acura dot Com, Matthew's hold Acura dot com. That's Matthews
with one team, so much more in one location.

Speaker 8 (29:11):
Buyers the Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yes, as we were ready to start off the second
corner high School Football Magic ninety five nine seven to nothing,
Mohawk with the leads starting off the second with the football.
Oh and they you go with the FLIFA correction. The
pass all picked off by Jackson Flower. He was trying
to get it down to Ben Bogner and Flower was.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
In position bulldog ball.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
So Flower coming up with our first premiere Optometry group
turnover of the game. So it belongs to Ederton. So
Mohawk trying some special razzle dazzl on that one, and
uh yeah they entered in Bulldogs just not and coming
up with the pick.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
That was Hayman on that pass. Correct. Yes, he has
not attempted to pass this year. But you know in
past years he has thrown passes back to the quarterback
or to other receivers on occasions, so not totally out
of the ordinary for Hayman to try a pass like that.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
First and ten forty nine you aren't lawn and Ederton,
with the ball trailing, gets even to nothing starting off
to the second quarter. Oh, here comes Cavan bish on
the pressure and then he gets a block in the
pass downfield. It is caught on the near side by
Corey Herman.

Speaker 8 (30:34):
Pass.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
Herman has lots of experience, so he gets involved in
the action Matthew's honda Acker first down at the thirty
six yard law.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
So about a fifteen yard pass play there, all right.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
So see if Edgerton able to work with some momentum,
that's what the Bulldogs were trying to do. First in
ten thirty six yard line, still trailing at those seven
two nothing, quarterback has the snap. Baker hands it offense
on the krons fincially to the right side, slips through
one tackle from Hemminger, but gets some help from his mates, Caine, Hayman,
multiple warriors over there at the thirty yard line.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
More laundry on the field though, Kirk I think they're
gonna call this one back for a hold on the
right side of the line. Nope, a face mask.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Against the offense.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yeah, face mask against the offense. That we've seen two
on back to back. It's the playoffs. Anything can happen.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Well, yeah, they are definitely watching for that. Yeah, exactly
a lot of times with the face mask fieldings. It's
against the defense. But yeah too on the offense already.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Yeah, and I don't I think that on each team.
I think that was on an offensive lineman that time.
I did not see it with the running back or
you know, anyone out of that backfield, So I think
it was one of the offensive linemen. I did not
catch who.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
So first the twenty five forty nine yard line back
in her own territories, linking it out, Maddis Baker gets
him the right side of Sanchez had tackled right at
the midfield.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Mason Schimp.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
He's done a fine job for the Mohawk Warriors all
season and particularly in this game so far. Paso.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Yeah, just a one yard pickup, and so it's going
to be second down and twenty three yards for a
first down. Long way to go.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
We're just one minute into this second quarter. Ederton with
the ball down seven to nothing, second down, twenty four
from midfield. Here at Warrior Field, the quarterback Maddix Baker
will and another flag and looks like it's going to
be a full start against the offense.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Dead ball, full start.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Bull bog five yard still sucking down twenty nine yards.
All right, so the l's he hazick it down twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
At this point, you want to just try to get
maybe half or even a third back wady four yard line.
Let's see.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Yeah, the quarterback Baker, oh, I get surrounded.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I saw Cayden bishing there also Eli similar Rex and
Frish with some help. But yeah, that's another big loss
right there. For entertime.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Logan Heminger also came around the left side. Basically they
had him surrounded. Kirk and yeah, it's going south literally
in a in a hurry here for actually west, but
who cares. The short story is they're moving way back
and well beyond the chain.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Well behind the chains. Really in most fields it would
be south. Yeah, this is one of the rare ones
that goes east west. So a third down and thirty
six from the thirty eight yard line, here we go
two walk of Yeah, there's just nothing doing right there.
Mohawk Warriors right there to make the stop. Yeah, Owen
Patresei and it's the klow I missed the other one.

(34:17):
There were two of them over there, but yeah, Patresi
was definitely in there for the Mohawk Warriors.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Yeah, it's no secret that he's the leading tackler on
this team by far, and he showed why there. I'll
tell you, I don't think walk ups at full strength.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
You can see his.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Left leg is wrapped and he doesn't really look confident
cutting off that left leg. But either way, Mohawk would
have stopped that for a huge loss.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Worth The thirty four is hertman on the punt gets
over the head of Caleb Bush, it goes into the ins.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Wow, that is quite a leg there for Cory Herman.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Goodness, he's going to get a net forty out of
a sixty yard kick. But you don't see that too
often in high school football. He definitely boomed it. He
made it a line drive spiral and they bounced around
the fifteen and went straight into the end zone. Nice
job for that young man. Would have been happier if
it would have went out inside the twenty but he

(35:12):
came pretty close.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
So instead set the ball up at the twenty yard line. Yes, indeed,
so first and ten more hugly he gets seven to nothing,
but nine fourteen to go in the first quarter, second quarter,
first half as they go with a pop pass here
to Kane Hayman over to the left side and he
gets driven back.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
By multiple bull dogs, including welcome.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
So yeah, he's one of those players got to play
both ways as they don't have a particularly large roster,
so they depend on these players to go both sides.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
As first completion to Kane Hayman and like to see
a lot more. Just a safe pop pass there and
we'll see what they can do getting some misdirection going here.
I'm seeing a lot of overpursuit by that defense. If
they can go with some counterplays here, they might get
some big yards.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Second and five, twenty five yard line from Mohawk up
seven to nothing here early in the second quarterback to
the under the quarterback runs on the right side, gets
across the thirty.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Yard line and then tackle down the sideline around the.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Thirty three and other flag comes out right up the
conclusion of that play.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
That's gonna be unnecessary roughness. He did not need to
take him to the ground. He was about three or
four yards out of bounds before he brought him down.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Yeah, they caught him with a horse collar.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Yeah, okay, all of that was out of bounds though,
And again he had stepped out and that was three
or four yards out of bounds.

Speaker 8 (36:45):
So on.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Just unnecessary. So that would have been good enough for
a first down anyway up to the thirty three about
a third well eight yard pickup, I should say, But
with the fifteen yards all the.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Way up to the forty eight had even more productive
Matthew's on the ecker a first down to the forty
eight yard line. Quarterback takes a snap, s wings out
the left side, all dropped there by Caleb Bish, I
should say, and they.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Whistle, looking incomplete, started running before he actually had the ball,
was looking looking up field. I think he looked away
at the last second. But he'll he'll catch the next one.
He's very sure handed or ordinarily. Yeah, such a persatile

(37:32):
player is Caleb Bish.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Wow, he has done so much the sea since we
get a second down and ten from the forty eight
yard line from Mohawk up to seven to nothing. Bogner
as a snap works his way to the left side.
It's through a whole forty yard line. Thirty five had
stopped at the thirty pile. Walk up another Matthews Hondaka
refirst down for the Mohawk Warriors.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Well we do see the pillowy flag and a hole.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
It's coming back. That's too bad, Kirk. That looked like
just what it's spoken about a moment ago. My whole
line went right. He went left initially, then he cut
it back right and would have been a great game.
But someone along the line with the whole box. Unfortunate.

Speaker 4 (38:22):
Four.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Thank you everybody for supporting student athletes. They're only gonna
net five yard loss. So that must have been downfield
where the whole occurred at passed the line of scrimmage,
so they market from where the point of the foul
is in high school football.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
Second and fifteen from the forty three snap back, here
Bogner again takes off running, this time Noel Weaver the
first to hit him, and then he gets help from.

Speaker 4 (38:51):
His mates, including Sanchez and Flower.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
So far, Yeah, that was a really strong defensive effort
that time for Enterton.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Third down. Yeah, fortunate to get his forward progress back
to the original line of scrimmage, so it'll be fourth
and fifteen. Both defense is playing real well right now.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
Yeah, God to give him credit for that. So as
we head towards a seven.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Minutes mark here of this second quarter, looking at that
third and fifteen from the forty three yard line, three
receivers to left of the formation, Quarterback Bogner in the gun,
claps his hands, Tessa snab back pedals, works his way
around to the right side, and under pressure from Quinte,
passes it out of bounds four town.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
I tell you what, he's not going to get a
completion there on that play, But look out in the future.
They had six men rushing. That's a lot of one
on one coverage and against these receivers. I think that's
a very dangerous move that time they got to him,
but they're going to have to be careful. That's not
going to work out in your favor too often against Bogner.

(40:00):
He's very shifty at quarterback. Can e loot some people
and get that pass completed. He'll drop back to kick.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Here fourth and fifteen from the forty three yard line. Yes,
set up for the punt. Has it in his hands.
Bogner gets it off the right foot, bounces across the
thirty and another twenty five and across the twenty and
hence toward the fifteen, stopped at the sixteen yard line. Yeah,
so good pun right there for Bogner, and we'll see

(40:28):
Enterton trying again, trying to get some points.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Jackson Flower pretty close to a block kick there. He
had his body fully extended, his six foot one hundred
and ninety pound frame, and he was full out going
for the block, and he was a little bit short,
but he was definitely pretty close there. So that's something
that also that Mohawk's going to have to watch out for. Definitely,
don't let him through the line again.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Okay, well, yes, indeed, here we go. It's gonna be
a first and ten ball spotted into the sixteen yard line,
entered in with it. In the second quarter, Still Trailer
gets seven to nothing to the hole Mohawk Warriors. Baker,
the quarterback, has the snap, takes the handoff, works his
way to the right side, and then Klous among the
Mohawk tacklers, stopping him at the twenty one yard line.

(41:20):
I could pick up there five yards for Maddix Baker.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Keeper by Baker on the tackle Rathburn and Patrese.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Baker.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Second down, Baker averages three point two yards to carry,
but of course that includes when you get sacked, et cetera,
so probably a little bit more. And he's done a
pretty decent job so.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Far on a several runs second and five twenty one
yard line snap back handed off the kron to the
right side, and he's able to shift his way across
the twenty five yard line and he's got enough or
the Matthews Honda that can refers down for entertainment.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Hold on Caleb bish on the stop for the Mohawk defense.
And that's one of the few times where they put
together a couple of ice runs in a row.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Yes under six to play until halftime. Coach Weever Reinsurance
Agency half type show plenty of scores from in ten
teams and others in the area. So we get the
first in ten twenty seven yard line edited with the
ball in their own territory, snap back to Manex Baker
and then throws it over the middle. All is caught
here by Carter, who takes him to the forty yard

(42:37):
line of thirty twenty slips away, it gets all the
way to the insole seventy three yards. On the play,
Carter Gibson won a play. He showed the moves after
making the catch. Wow, that was perhaps his top play
of the season right there.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Fifth touchdown on the season for Gibson, only averaging twelve
point two yards per catch, but definitely some blown coverage
there and then good effort but unable to catch up.
Was Ben Bogner on that left side of the defense,
right side of the offense.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
Touchdown brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op.
All right, So for the point after, it is up
Elton and it is through from Parker Elton. So on
the Wilson Tire scoreboard, we are tied Mohawk with seven
and now Enterton with seven, five to eighteen to go

(43:35):
in the second quarter of this opening round playoff game.
So blender with us tonight for matthew Son Ager came
of the week, How mattic ninety five nine and I

Speaker 13 (43:44):
That's the sound of downy unstoppable syn beads going into
your washing machine and giving your clothes freshness that lasts
all day long. There it is again It's like music
to your ears, or more like music to your nose.
That freshness is irresistible. Let's get a Downy Unstoppable's bottle
shape and now a sniff solo nice with Downy Unstoppable.

(44:07):
You just tossed wash wow for all day pressness.

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
Five eighteen The Girl Until I Have Time Man. The
entertain Bulldogs are on the poor You're tied it at
seven touchdown, Catchen run for a car. Gibson on the
quarterback Addic Baker. So here we go with i'llse University
at Marion kick golf here Mark Elden and they try

(45:13):
an on side drive, but that is taken by Mohawk
right at midfield. No problem for Hayden Parker making that snag.
So yeah, there you go, Mohawk Warriors with excellent field
position with that attempt there for an onside kick from Edgerton.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Yeah, interesting choice to go for that right away. So
I think that kind of tells you a little bit
about what coach is seeing on his defensive side of
things for the Edgerton Bulldogs, you know. So he's wanting
to try to get his offense back as quick as
they can and get that ball back to him. But
this time it didn't work out. Mohawk ready for.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
That one, all right, first and ten, forty nine yard line.
Mohawk with the ball cross midfield, that back fakes a handoff,
works his way to the right side as walk up
with the tackle for Edenterton with.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
That's at the forty three yard line. Yeah, another six
yards for Bogner. He's already got fifty yards in the
first half, fifty three on seven carries. So uh, definitely
left side of the offensive line doing an outstanding job.
Once again, he's been running left pretty much at Will Kirk.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
The second and four front of forty three yard line
and entered the territory. Quarterback takes us that Bogner takes
off her runs with the right side, he's being chased
by Leppermire and then the slips out. Another tackle pushes
Gibson there and often he goes on the sideline out
of pounds near the thirty yard line. Obviously, it gets
enough there for the Matthews onnachera first down with four

(46:50):
thirty six to go until halftime. Warriors wanting some more
points with his game tome at seven.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Fifteen yard pick up there, Kirk and sixty eight yards
now and the right side doing the job. Really good
job by all three wide outs, Drew Woodland bish and
then also the other receiver that was over there, and
I pressed his number.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
And ten from the twenty eight yard line and they
go here with Kayden bish As he works into the
right sideline and gets inside the fifteen before being knocked
out of bounds. Looked like a walk couple was over
there again on the tackle for Enterton. With the matters
Upnocker first down for the Mohawk Warriors, four and a
half remaining until halftime.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
Yeah, they're just running with authority right now, Kirk just
doing a tech of a job.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Fourteen yard pickup. Yeah, the Bohawk Warriors. Yeah, and they
get that run established with Bogner. That's why I was curious.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
I can't believe they didn't try to kick it away
there because they've been doing a just a great job.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
Rushings ten from the fourteen yard line. Broger has to
snap picks the hand off, the fish wins to the
right side.

Speaker 4 (47:59):
He's got us Ben Bogner. Hen, he's Kip saying you're
we're gonna.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
Keep Wow Ben Pogner, who with the touchdown from fourteen
the yards out, giving the Warriors a leader right past.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Yeah. I'll tell you what, Ben Bogner. I don't know
what he ate this morning, or whether it was the
haircut or what it is, but he is definitely running
with reckless abandon out there and just mowing people over.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
Touchdown brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers Co
up as.

Speaker 8 (48:33):
The go for.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
The extra point here for the Mohawk Warriors. Aiden Patresey
this time holds down Caleb bish and Aiden's kick is
up and it is through. So on our Wilson Tires scoreboard,
it is Mohawk fourteen Enterton seven four twenty four to
go until halftime. There's our Matthews had acrid game of

Speaker 1 (50:07):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine. Here in Warrior Field,
the Mohawk Warriors lead at fourteen to seven on Edgerton
with four twenty four to go until halftime of this
opening round play off game. As back to the Fish
gets ready for Ohasse University at Mary and kickoff for
the Warriors, Edgerton would love to get a nice return

(50:27):
here there is the kick and this one taking off
the bounce by Krontz twenty yard line twenty five thirty
thirty five forties. Wow, he is a speedy one Scotty
Kantz for Edgertons. So there's plenty of time left until
halftime four seventeen. So the Mohawk Warriors, they know they've

(50:48):
got to be ready on defense because this entered the team.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
They've got a lot of variety.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Absolutely, they got a lot of different weapons. They run
from a lot of different formation sets. They've got half
and they will run even from the receiver's slot and
the slot back. So you've always got to keep aware
and it's not necessarily going the way that the line
is going, so you definitely cannot be over pursuing against

(51:16):
this offense.

Speaker 4 (51:17):
First and ten thirty nine yard line.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
Step back to Baker, and now he's under pressure from
Caaan Bish that was tip to almost.

Speaker 4 (51:25):
Picked up there by Op but Treesa.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
He died for it, but just could not quite get
a hand on it there here the thirty seven yard line,
and with it.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Down, was that Bish that actually tipped that? It looked
like it was. Yeah, Caden Bish, Yeah, he was right there.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
He did it.

Speaker 4 (51:43):
An outstanding player is Caden Bish?

Speaker 1 (51:48):
All right? So we get a second down in ten
thirty nine yard line, entertain trailing, get fourteen to seven
with four twelve remaining until a halftime one in most
of his Crowns quarterback Baker as a snap back pedals
past near side. He Carter Gibson his time Garrett Ryan
Hard stable to the.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
Turn right hard with Gibson.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Gibson barely got turned around for that ball, and then
he was stumbling backwards and uh, really nice defensive play.
I mean he was right there regardless, but once he
stumbled backwards, it was there was no way he could
go forwards.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
Yes it is. So here we go third down from
the thirty three yard line, eating sixteen yards here three
receivers a rounding four major quarterback Baker as a stab.
He rolls to the ride, looks up, lets it go

(52:48):
and caught there at the forty yard line. Not enough
for a first down to sam Chezza. It looks like
we are got to get the credit union time out
called for. Bohawk will take her. With three seventeen to
go until halftime, fourteen to seven, Mohawk leads Edverton, I'll
imagine ninety five nine and diur radio.

Speaker 8 (54:06):
The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week, I'm.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
For Edgerton this one.

Speaker 1 (54:16):
Going across the ten to the five and heads to
the back of the end zone and out of bounds.
Well so Herman, yeah he is.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
He's an impressive with that leg.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
So mohawk, just take the ball again from the twenty
yard line, first and ten with that fourteen to seven lead,
three to nine to go until halftime.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Yeah, he came within just a yard or two of
having a sixty yard kick inside the five yard line, Kirk.
I mean it's a line drive style kick, but he
just booms it over the head of the would be
returners and no chance at it whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
Okay, Well, it's gonna be down in ten from the
twenty yard line, Mohawk with the fourteen to seventh lead
at the cornerback Ben Bogner in the gun as the
snap takes the hand off, He's confident running himself to
the left side, and he's got a little bit of room.

Speaker 4 (55:15):
Bogner across the thirty five yard line.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
Goodness, So obviously Matthew Hondaker a first down of Walker
game of fifteen or sixteen yards. Looks like they are
spotting it at the thirty six. So yeah, it is
sixteen yard game for Ben Bogner.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Yeah, just two yards shy of one hundred yard first
half for Ben Bogner, and he is already over one
thousand yards for the season. He came in with nine
hundred and thirteen first and then thirty six yard line.
Quarterback Bogner with a snap lose the rush past downfield one.

Speaker 1 (55:46):
On one head led caught here by Herman, looks to
alluded to the fender and then stopped there by Karan
whoa ran at the twenty yard line and enters in territory.
Huge play for Lawyers.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
Forty five yards on the pass and Payman almost broke
it all the way. Now, I'm gonna watch him closely.
I thought maybe he was limping just a little bit,
kind of got twisted around down there in an unusual fashion.
But I think he's okay.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Hit the red zone first and ten nineteen yard line
along with it, snap back to Bogner, runs to the
right side, cuts in and then takes on tacklers tackled.

Speaker 4 (56:28):
Low by walk up around the thirteen. Walk up with
the tackle.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
So second and four. Bonner now officially over one hundred
yards one hundred and four by my tally for eleven carries.
And look out they could score again right before half here.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
Second and four from the thirteen. Yes, Bogner has a snap,
heads off to Cayden. Bitch here and Cayden he.

Speaker 4 (56:56):
Keeps fighting to head. Let's see he got the touchdown
thirteen yard play.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Caden Bish he was spectacular last week and what was
that defecto inten championship game?

Speaker 2 (57:13):
And he just continues to motor.

Speaker 1 (57:14):
A law.

Speaker 2 (57:16):
Carried two yards on the night and he just carried people.
He motored and just kept the legs moving, pumping and
would not stop even inside the five yard line. Carries
two people into the end zone with it touchdown brought
to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op. So
going with Aidan Patrese a four of a point after

(57:39):
I snaphandled there by Caleb Bish to kick.

Speaker 1 (57:41):
His up and how about that? How could it is
have multiple kickers who can get it done? Brand Carey
had made the first one and then the next two
by Aiden Patresei. And on the Wilson Tires scoreboard it
is Mohaunk twenty one and Edgerton seven eight to go
until halftime for Matthews Hunt acreag Game of the Week.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
I'm Magic ninety five and I heard.

Speaker 12 (58:02):

Speaker 12 (58:50):
Swad boy saw it in Marion, Matthews Honda Accurate dot com,
Matthew's Hoorn to Ecurra dot com. That's Matthews with one
t so much more in one location byers.

Speaker 8 (59:01):
The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Lohawk up two scores after the thirteen dar tests I've
run where Kayden Fish Bullhawk Warriors leading in twenty one
to seven on entertain with one to go until halftime
of this opening round playoff game and reach to twenty six.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
So the Mohawk Warriors at home.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
They are certainly inspiring this crowd and the crowd doing
so right back at these warriors.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
As we get ready for another.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
Kickoff brought to you by the Outstate University at Marion,
Brax and Frish, the one ready to deliver it comes
on the approach, swings through with the right foot and
this one caught right at the twenty six yard line
the right side Lepelmeyer and Braden. He gets stopped across

(59:55):
the forty yard line. Levi Teal on the tackle and
special teams for.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Mohawk and Caden bish Uh getting that touchdown number eight
on the season for the twenty one to seven score.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
OHI, all right, so let's see it first in ten
forty two yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
All right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Trailing at twenty one to seven at Mohawk is Enterton
quarterback Baker. The staff pass far side, caught Sanchez cross
midfields and ultimately tackled finally by Hayden Parker. He was
a final one to bring him down. Matthews Honaker first
down for entertain at the forty eight yard line with

(01:00:49):
win thirty five to go until halftime. And on the snap,
looks like we get a whistle here in a false
starts against up old dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Dead ball twenty nine for Kellen Sanchez, and that's really
his first reception near his fifteen yard average. But five
yard penalty will push them back first and fifteen. Just
a minute thirty two to go, ninety two seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
On the clock, all right, I had no interertivid like
to get some more points before the break. So yes,
the first dound of fifteen play here at a quarterback
had a snap and then oh that's a miscommunication. He
was looking to just dump it off to Carter Gibson.
We get another flag anyway, lots of issues going on
out There might have been a.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Chopped block against saw one player go down in a
very strange way for Mohawks, thought maybe they chopped in first.
We saw that call last week. Ten yard penalty and
it's first and twenty five.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Now indeed, yes, uh.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Last series, it was first in twenty nine and yeah,
yeah that wall my GoF right, and then they went
further back after that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
So the mall twenty five, you're from the thirty eight
yard line in motion to Sanchez the quarterback. Baker has
a snaff the pass two. Sanchez threw his hands thole
at the thirty seven yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
Incomplete, that ball nearly knocked down. Hayden Parker was in
there in the face of the quarterback and the ball
jumped up. He went between his two outstretched hands. He
was trying to block it. It just got lucky but incomplete.

Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
Yes, LEAs won twenty four until halftime, so BULLHOWK Warriors
obviously leading in this game. We'll see how other inten
teams are doing in their playoff games for rechurch Acy
halftime show coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:02:56):
So second down to twenty five from the thirty eight
yard line.

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
And step back and go to walk up on the
run to the right side to the forty yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
Period, pick up them to it appears walk up.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Patres I'm gonna stop and hemming her both. Good job there.

Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Yes, what looks like they are taking that quest Federal
Credit Union time out. Yes, so one to go until
the break. The Mohawk Warriors. Wow, this is a program
that's come a long way. Same for Ederton again, I
mean both of these programs were two and eight one
season ago. Happens here they are in the playoffs obviously,

(01:03:45):
Mohawk at eight and two, so just completely turning things
around and be coming in ten champions and yeah, they
they want to put on the show for these fans
here at Sycamore. They love to be able to play
yet another game next week right here at Warrior Field.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Yeah, they were number four coming in, so as long
as they win, they're guaranteed that home field again next
week and after that, it just depends on the seating
of the team that wins, I believe.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
So yeah, neutral field after Yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
I couldn't remember. It's a third or fourth week.

Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
So we got a third and the twenty two from
the forty quarterback Baker a little jump pass up there,
caught by Kurrns makeson Chimo and he passes out of
it the left moment to walk up, but the Warriors
were alert enough to get him down. Caleb bish with
a tackle, but heck of an effort right there. That
was impressive.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Yeah, Hayden Parker also helped with that tackle after the back,
but yeah, looked like he was fully stopped in about
three quarters of the way down and all of a
sudden he said, yeah you can take it. Pitch the
ball back, perfect pitch and picked up about another six yards,
so it'll bring up fourth down and looks like they're
gonna possibly go for it. Here on the Warrior side

(01:05:03):
of the field. Another risky move, but you're down twenty
one to nothing the end of the first half and
would like to try to get a score here. Gotta
be careful in this situation though.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
Twenty one to seventy what I say six? You said
twenty one to nothing? Yeah, okay, that's even worse. So
one six to go.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
So oh no timeouts left for mohawk. So if they
get the ball back, probably not going to be able.
Maybe the coach is looking at that too and deciding that, well,
you know, there mainly been a run team, but they've
got some weapons, so still a risky move in my book.

Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
Tell interesting, Okay, well, dude, look like they're going to
go for it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
No kicker out there for down.

Speaker 4 (01:05:58):
Let's see.

Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
Baker eluse a rush near side and then just thrules
it away. They are on the near side, well, leaving
fifty eight point eight seconds.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Mohawk ball.

Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Yeah all right, yeah there we go.

Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
Yeah, so yeah, you know what it's uh they never
got to go for it, as understandable and uh yeah,
just didn't quite work out right that particular situation. But
now you think about with mohawk, what do you do here? Right?
Fifty eight point eight seconds to work with. Yeah, may think, yeah,

(01:06:52):
definitely don't want to turn the ball over. Yeah, now
where they just got their flight comes up? Okay, yes,
so right in.

Speaker 2 (01:07:01):
Yes, because he wasn't outside the tackles. So yeah, it
was kind of a storm.

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
We saw me just you know, as he was going
out out and just threw it out a bounce there
and uh, I'm not sure why you did that. You know,
he could have taken you know, just taking the hit,
taking the tackle, or just run out of bounds himself.
But uh, yeah, he's a little bit off. That's a
tough miscue.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
So yeah, so that's gonna be Yeah, he's been off
target all night, so just a little bit out of sync.
So you know, he's back and Walker's back. But I
really don't think either of are full strength. They're just
not looking like the type of players we know that
they are capable of, at least.

Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
Not at this point. All right, Well, first and ten
forty one yard line and entered in territory at mohawk.
Put up more points past boat over the middle, cut
by Caleb bish On the move gets across at fifteen,
initially hit by Carter Gibson. He was on the back
of a first down Warrior ball ball spouted at the

(01:08:04):
thirteen I stepping back on. Then he drops down to
his knees with the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
What is going on.

Speaker 8 (01:08:15):
On? We'll still walking.

Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
Forty eight seconds on the clock here, Yeah, it should
be fifty one seconds.

Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
They're saying, why, well, they're playing so fuzer the side
is Puente trying to get in front of him, pass
over the air off the fingertips of Caleb Bish it complete.
They were going for a touchdown leaving looks like thirty
nine seconds about fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Now the official are conferencing here. I think they're going
to discuss how much time should be left on the clock.
There was a yeah, there definitely just saw a clock
motion from the umpire official coming to the sideline to

(01:09:24):
explain things to the coach.

Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
Players appear to be getting an explanation as well.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
So thirty nine point three, it does not look like
they're going to put any additional time back onto the clock,
and it goes down to thirty two. Okay, so they
did take off some time, so the clock went from
thirty nine to thirty two. They ran an additional seven

(01:09:55):
seconds off, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Yeah, that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
So third down and twelve from the sixteen yard line
Mohawk with the twenty one to seven lead, where boy
Bogner has a staff, rolls to the left on the move,
lets it go, kill.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
On the ride, bobble it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Then kal a bish right there at the doorstep of
the insole. He's sort of fell down on that plane
and you not able to hold onto the ball, leaving
twenty four point seven seconds until halftime.

Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
If he would have been able to hold on, it
would have been enough for a first down. So uh
now it's fourth down though, fourth and twelve. Very interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Yeah, yeah, I fully expect that they'll be going forth
right here, Yeah with it with this, got a lot
of options. We're down and twelve, but they need a
huge chunk. They might even go for all of it.
So Bogner has a staff works his way to the
left side, good block by right hard and Bogner does

(01:11:00):
he let it go. He does card side by Kate
Haven for a touchdown sixteen yard play from the Mohawk Warriors.
So they win for it all and they go up
three scores with sixteen point seven seconds left until halftime.

Speaker 2 (01:11:18):
Sixteen yard touchdown, and that's just a beautiful play right
there and you get up twenty seven to seven and
out again is Patrezi. And just in case you're wondering,
I do not see Brent Keriyon on the sideline. He
made the first extra point, but I no longer see
him on the Mohawks sideline, So I hope he's okay,

(01:11:41):
all right.

Speaker 1 (01:11:41):
But yes it's aiden PATREESI to do it now? Oh
this time to kick barely somehow found it.

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
Just barely able.

Speaker 1 (01:11:52):
They get it over the crossbar, so Aida PATREESI that
was sort of like a magic hat there to get
that one.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
So on or Wilson Tires scoreboard.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
It's twenty eight to seven Mohawk leading Enterton was sixteen
point seven seconds left here at Warrior Field and coming
off that sixteen yard touchdown reception Kane Hayman from Ben
Bogner brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op.
What the performance we are seeing from Mohawk And it

(01:12:22):
almost feels to me, at least that this team woke up.
When Carter Gibson got the seventy three yarder the other
way for Enterton, the Warriors were like, okay, yeah, we
cannot allow this type of play to continue.

Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
Yeah, definitely this team Edgerton. They've been able to score
in big bunches all season long. Like I said, one
of their lowest productions was twenty eight points in the
games that they won at least, and they were without
a couple of their top players who are back today.
But they don't seem like they're at full capacity right now.

(01:12:59):
And Mohawk definitely taking advantage of that, which you have
to do. I mean, you're on your home field and
you wanted to go out quickly. It really didn't start
very quickly. But now they've had They had a touchdown
at minute fifty eight and now a touchdown at sixteen
after the questionable call to go for it on fourth
down near midfield and gave the ball back to you know,

(01:13:22):
very potent Mohawk offense. They've had that big playability all
season long too.

Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
So University of Marion kickoff here Brexon Frist for Mohawk.
Here we go, final seconds here the first half and
pitch back here at Sanchez to Krantz across the twenty
twenty five thirty thirty five and then stumbles near the
forty yard line. They have marked them at the thirty
nine so leaves nine point nine seconds on that second

(01:13:50):
quarter o'clock as we had towar and half time.

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Yeah, basically, you want to just play a prevent defense here,
keep everything in front of you, Kirk, and you know
they might have time for two plays. They do still
have two timeouts remaining, but they are down twenty eight
to seven. So whatever they have happened, they've got to
go deep quick, and they're gonna send triple receivers out
to the right side, and Gibson, who caught the big

(01:14:16):
seventy three yarder, splits bottom to the.

Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
Left first and ten from the forty yard line.

Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
Quarterback has a snap, rolls to the right side, throws
it caught forty five yard line by Corey Herman, and
then goes out of bounds. He knew he needed to do,
so they got the Matthews honta echera first down. Leaves
two point eight seconds before the break, so they may
just go for one big heave here. We'll see the
arm from Baker if that's how they elect to play it.

(01:14:44):
Maybe not. They might try some different type of tricker
ratier or something. But only two point eight seconds left.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
Yeah, we saw I think it was an impromptu hooking
ladder last time. But you know they've got some horses there.
They've definitely got some speed. I definitely look for Coots
to get that ball on this play. He's the speediest
receiver I think.

Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
All right, probably the final play here of be half
past soul incomplete on the far side looking for herman
tipped down and we do see Zeros on the clock.
It's half time and the.

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Well, very impressive first half. I think Mohawk came out
with some passion and fire in their bellies. You could
just kind of tell the way Ben Bogner got things
rolling on that very first drive of the game. Things
got tougher there for a while, but near the end
of this quarter they really put it on and you
know the lot of scoring in that second quarter. They

(01:15:40):
tied the ball game up did the Bulldogs, but Mohawk
came back with twenty one unanswered and they tried an
on side kick. Mohawks scored, and then they tried a
fourth down play near midfield, and I really thought they
should have punted that ball away and put some more
field position because Mohawks really been able to do what

(01:16:02):
they want running the ball. And yes, they didn't have
a ton of time left. But they've also got Ben
Bogner back there, and when he's on, he's on, and
he has been able to make some really great passes
tonight so far, and just enough to get them up
in a great position right now, twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:16:20):
Eight to seven at the half, right on, all right, Will, Yes,
it's always dangerous to get Bogner more opportunities, and he
got it done, as did his teammates. So we will
take a short break, will come back for a re
Insurance Agency halftime show in.

Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Church of a name you know and trust.

Speaker 15 (01:20:51):
A lot of attacks for us that they can play.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Worked that second before. Oh yeahs try it again.

Speaker 1 (01:21:11):
We are young featuring it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
We were working through the test check test check. Okay,
now now I can hear.

Speaker 1 (01:21:21):
Okay, good, there we go. All right, sweet.

Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
Apologized I had some technical difficulties. Yeah, Kirk asked me
if I could hear him, but I wasn't really hearing myself.
But I wasn't too worried about it. But thank you
Alec Beck spinning the dials, letting us know, but we'll
just recap what I discussed there. The second quarter was
really Mohawks after as you mentioned, they kind of got

(01:21:45):
a flame lid under them after a big seventy three
yard touchdown play Maddox Baker to Carter Gibson. They got
two first or two carries, and then on a big
third play it was a seventy three yard touchdown strike
that made the ball game seven to seven. After the
first touchdown of the ballgame was a four yard run
by Hayman, and then things went back and forth again

(01:22:10):
for a while, but they tried an onside kick Ben
Bogner in company. They were able to march it right
down the field, Bogner finishing it off with a fourteen
yard touchdown run, and then at the end of the
first half two touchdowns, a fifteen yarder to Cayden Bish

(01:22:31):
with a minute fifty eight to go, and then the
final touchdown of the half or check check that that
was the touchdown to or no kayleb Bish then ran
it in from thirteen yards out. So we got the
Bish brothers doing things again, coming through with a couple

(01:22:52):
of touchdowns here late in the first half and really
put Mohawk in a great position twenty eight to seven
at the halfner. All together yardage wise not super impressive,
but he's gotten the job done with both his arms
and his legs and passing wise, go up to sixty

(01:23:12):
one yards total in the first half and became Haymargon
with thirteen yards and four yard touchdown run, Ben Bogner
with his legs one hundred and four yards including a
fourteen yard touchdown run, and Caden Bish fifty two yards
with a thirteen yard touchdown, and then Caleb Bish with

(01:23:36):
the thirteen yard touchdown reception. So it's just a heck
of a good night so far for the Mohawk Warriors
doing everything that they really need to do. And you know,
they've got the top two players back Maddox Baker at
quarterback and Walker at running back. But Walker or walk
up rather walk up has been largely ineffective here in

(01:24:00):
the ball game. Maddix Baker only twelve yards rushing and
walk up. Really, I've just got him for two positive yards.
He's had some positive games, some negative games. Nearly lost
the ball on his very first carry of the game,
and you know has really had to concentrate on hanging
onto the ball. They have turned over the ball in

(01:24:21):
previous games, and that's definitely, I think been a point
of emphasis. They haven't done that, but they have turned
the ball over on downs and then, you know, quite honestly,
some questionable coaching decisions near the end of the first half,
I think on the part of Brady Flagel.

Speaker 8 (01:24:38):
But he.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
That he had, you know, some momentum going and wanted
to get some scores before the end of the first half,
but instead of turned into two more scores, and now
they've got a big hole that dig out.

Speaker 1 (01:24:53):
Yeah, yeah, here on that hold up, We'll just take
a little break. We'll come back. There's some more of
our halftime show as we see the bonhog or your
margin is about to perform here at halftime. Well, you

Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
As we bring you back for our Read Insurance Agency
halftime show. At the half, it is home Mohawk leading
at twenty eight to seven on visiting Edgerton, So the
Mohawk Warriors the inten champions, obviously representing well up to
this point looking at some other in ten teams that
carry Blue Devils who were the inten champions of the

(01:28:51):
previous three seasons. Really on the road to the fire
to Nora seventeen to fourteen. So that's a tight battle
that obviously could go either way. So we'll be watching
out for that throughout the night. Upper Sandusky taking on
the number one seed in that region, Perkins and Sandusky.
Perkins up forty two to nothing, and that it really

(01:29:14):
is just a real deal team.

Speaker 2 (01:29:16):
A lot of people are looking at Perkins.

Speaker 4 (01:29:17):
As state champion contenders.

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
And the only loss on the season was to an
undefeated team in Edison ten and zero, and that was
by a single point. So yeah, I mean Upper Sandusky
is certainly proud to be able to get into the playoffs, But.

Speaker 4 (01:29:32):
Yeah, that Perkins team is really really tough.

Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
Our Marion County teams Elgin and a struggle versus Grandview Heights,
but Grandview Heights is the.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Number one seed.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
So twenty seven to nothing, the Bobcats leading the comments
in that one and pleasant trailing at thirteen to nothing
to Prebble Shawnee the air Rows and that game on
our AM station fourteen ninety WMRN.

Speaker 4 (01:29:58):
That looks like that game is still in play for Pleasant.

Speaker 1 (01:30:02):
That one's relatively close, but Spartan's got to get on
the board get some points obviously there, so we'll see
what happens as the night goes along. Dor with Moore
no problem with Coldwell of forty two to nothing in
that game, interesting Ontario and clear Fork ten to two?
Was that score Ontario with the lead on the Colts,
So who you just wonder, Yeah, here's a safety of

(01:30:24):
that one.

Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
Clear Fork's been coming on at near the end of
the season. They surprised some people with some of their wins,
but he didn't think they were going to have much
success against Ontario. But there they are.

Speaker 4 (01:30:35):
They're still within striking distance absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
As for River Valley trailing the Sailulures of Vermillion twenty
one to fourteen in that contest out of a Glandorf
of the seven to nothing lead on Gallon to Gallion's
really had an up and down season and let's see,
I think, look, we've got intense score here. You had
Sineke's Tigers. Yeah, they went from potentially hosting to having

(01:31:04):
to go on the road with the loss to Mohawk.
But Tiger's having no problem to nine on the road
to Collins Western Reserve leading the rough Riders thirty seven
to six. So Sinnega, he's certainly making a statement there.
And Colonel Crawford on the road at Monroe Central and
that game is tied at fifteen between the Eagles and
the Seminoles. So those are some of the scores and

(01:31:25):
I'm seeing up here. Oh, we do have the Shelby
Alta game and the Whippets of Shelby leading the Bulldogs
of a lot of thirty five to twenty one.

Speaker 2 (01:31:35):
Yeah, last week that was the game of the week
on the AM station and I called that with a
coach and it was a really good game that pleasant played.
But Shelby definitely has a lot of weapons. You've got
to just play full time against them, and they are
going to find a way to score each and every game.
And doing that thirty five points at half in a

(01:31:57):
playoff game, that's pretty impressive.

Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
Shell be an undefeated football team, right, You expect the
Whippets we'll be able to go far, but it's never
easy and it is never automatic in the playoffs. You
gotta bring it every single time. We'll take it out
a little break, we'll come back for more of a
return AMEC Halftime Show, Get at the Half.

Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
That we bring you back for our readers trans Agency
f time show the Mohawk Warriors leading twenty eight to
seven on the Edgerton Bulldogs. And since we have time,
and would note that in some other sports you have
three in ten athletes compete in the state meet tomorrow
cross country at Fortress level bets at Memorial Park. They

(01:34:52):
are Evan Schieffer of Seneca East, Hudson Boggs of Ugh Sourers,
and one of Bohawk's own in Brighton Boom Cleveland. Of course,
the football playoffs begin today. Today also the first day
that coaching is permitted for high school boys basketball across
the state of Ohio, so for those basketball players who

(01:35:14):
were on football teams that did not make the playoffs,
they can get an early jump on practice. The boys
season starts on November the twenty seventh. The girls' basketball
season starts five days earlier, on November to twenty second.
First day of practice for girls basketball was Friday of
last week, but just so happened to come one day

(01:35:35):
after the final win ten volleyball team was eliminated from
the postseason, that being Carry which fell to Monroeville on
that preceding Thursday. So that likely means that we won't
have any teams requesting a delayed start to the season
day all or likely to start on time. So still
can have different disruptions to the schedule, but we'll see

(01:35:58):
what happens. But that I'm sure at least on that
side of it pleasing to a bunch of basketball coaches
in the area. We should know we'll soon have our
winter sports broadcast schedules finalized and let you know which
basketball game will be the first of the season on
Magic ninety five to nine. We know that we will
start hoops later this month, so good Kirk.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
Always enjoy listening to the basketball games on Magic and WMRN,
bringing local action from both Seneca County teams and then
their opponents beyond the borders of the Seneca County and
then as well on the am side of things, with
Eric Mosley doing a heck of a job there and

(01:36:41):
bringing me the Marion County teams as well. So always
look forward to basketball and keeping track of the Cavaliers
This year too, I've been watching them and only in replay,
So glad to live in this day and age where
I can at least see the highlights of a full
game through the internet. But it's fun to watch and

(01:37:05):
you can always catch our broadcasts again if you miss
something or want to listen to it again after the game,
maybe one of the players on the team would like
to listen to it. You can have them dial us
up on the podcast slash app or after the game.
Alec Bichaelman does a great job getting those on and
Racelin Graber as well getting the things for the AM

(01:37:28):
station so you can follow up on all the action
here if you miss something or like me, I've had
to work for the Cavaliers games, if you're working tonight
and want to listen to the broadcast or whatever and
the or know somebody that does and let them know
about that. Taking a look at some statistics for the
Edgerton Bulldogs, Maddox Baker with his arm one hundred and

(01:37:50):
thirty six yards, but seventy three of that coming on
one big pass play to Carter Gibson, and that was
good for their loan touchdown of the first half, and
things were knotted up at seven to seven at the
end of the first quarter. But Mohawk went on a tear,
especially near the end of the first half. They tried

(01:38:10):
an on side kick, Mohawk was able to take that
down and score. Then they were able to get two
more before the end of the half, so they outscored
their opponents again in this second quarter. They've been outscoring
opponents all season long in the second quarter by about
a six to one margin, and in today's game it
was a twenty one to seven margin that they outscored

(01:38:32):
their opponent, and they lead it at the half twenty
eight to seven over the visiting Edgerton Bulldogs. In first
round playoff action, Mattix Baker also had twelve yards on
the ground. Joe walk up pretty much a wash in
the first half. He does not look like an eight
hundred and eighty nine yard back that was averaging one

(01:38:52):
hundred and forty yards a game. But Mohawk's defense has
done a great job with their pursuit all night long.
The tackle for losses have still been there like they've
been all season long. Scotty Krantz has eight carries only
eighteen yards, so really their largest ball game or largest

(01:39:13):
ball carriers averaging no more than four yards a carry,
so they're pretty much have to throw and the defensive
secondary he's done a pretty good job overall. They did
have a miscommunication on that one seventy three yard pass
play a blown coverage I believe, but then some good
moves downfield by the receiver to get all the way

(01:39:36):
in for the score for the Edgerton Bulldogs. But Kellen
Sanchez is the second leading receiver. He's caught the most
passes with four twenty nine yards total. Parker Eldon had
one twenty three yard reception and Corey Herman had a
fifteen yard reception as well. Carter Gibson the big seventy
three yard touchdown and he also caught a second pass,

(01:39:56):
but that was a six yard tackle for loss as
he lost his b once and then we went backwards
before he got tackled.

Speaker 4 (01:40:05):
Oh, Parker eltonn't getting ready for now.

Speaker 1 (01:40:07):
Also, University of Marion kickoff for Ederton is in sort
of the right side and it looks like an on
side attempt that is taken right at midfield for the
Mohawk Warriors, and hey, they're they're just like, hey, you
can do that all night long, fine by us. So
they take possession of the football once again.

Speaker 2 (01:40:25):
Yeah, and in Klaus handled that beautifully, and you know
they're just ready for it. They've got some good hands
people up front, and you are not going to fool
Mohawk the rest of the way. Guys. I'm sorry, but
I just shook my head as soon as I saw
him make that kick, because you're giving a team that's
been able to run the ball very effectively against you
all night. You're giving them a short field and regardless

(01:40:49):
of what happens, you know you're gonna have to get
lucky to come up with an on side kick in
this stage.

Speaker 1 (01:40:55):
Of the game. I'm let's get a first and ten
forty seven yard line cross midfield. Bogner, the quarterback, just
keeps it, runs it to the left side, takes it
to the forty yard line, tackled by Joel Walk up
there at that forty yard line. So yeah, they're just
gonna continue to utilize this run as long as it works,
and it generally works pretty well when Ben Bogner is
the one running the football.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
Yeah, one hundred and four yards in that first half
for Bogner, and he uncorked a couple of big ones,
including a fourteen yard touchdown, and he nearly got a
touchdown on another twenty yard or earlier in the ball game.

Speaker 1 (01:41:29):
Second and three from forty yard line, Bogner hands it
off to Cayden Bish and he gets dragged back by.

Speaker 8 (01:41:37):
It.

Speaker 2 (01:41:37):
It'll start for the gonna give his forward progress and
leave the chainso Kirk so another Matthews hondaaker a first
down all the way up to the thirty seven yard line,
got needed three yards, got the three yards.

Speaker 1 (01:41:51):
That's exactly it. So still in his first emit another
third quarter verst and ten thirty seven yard line, Bohawk
with a twenty eight to seven lead, and then entered
in territory. So Bogner from the gun through was right.
But Bogner keeps in friends of the left side using
Kenyon this is a block. Also use lish of Elier
with the block and then across the thirty yard line
as Jackson Flower is able to get him to the fields.

Speaker 2 (01:42:16):
Be about a yard. Yeah, I know a lot of teams.
Obviously it's important.

Speaker 1 (01:42:23):
So second and one, yeah, twenty eight yard live, let's
see it. Just a minute and a half into this
third quarter. From the gun, Bogner helm and high snack
quickly releases the right side off the chest of Caleb Byss. Oh,
but then he may have gotten saved by his teammate.
The ball came out, but I think Mohawk may have
recovered it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
Yeah, it's just an incomplete incomplete Yeah, yeah, because I
mean it was forward passed, so you can jump on
the ball you want. But I don't see the official
saying incomplete though. I'm really confused here. Very interesting. Well,
just back to the original line of scrimage. There we go. Okay,
they were well where did they put the ball down?

Speaker 4 (01:43:06):
Yeah, they may have determined he cotton turn down?

Speaker 2 (01:43:11):
All right either way? Third and one, No, I think
it's just back to the river and one.

Speaker 1 (01:43:14):
Twenty eight yard lawns and low snap handled by Bogner
and he breaks a tackle.

Speaker 4 (01:43:22):
Oh, he's running up the middle.

Speaker 1 (01:43:23):
Bonder is just too tall. Wait. Do see a flag
though on the field there right at the twenty six
yard claw?

Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
Oh my gosh, I.

Speaker 2 (01:43:34):
Think it's against the defense for a horse collar. Again
stands a touchdown run.

Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
Yeah, that's the indication that we're getting We'll get the
official signal here personal foul face mask. So the touchdown
does stand. Twenty eight yarder for the quarterback Ben Bogner.

Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Wow, I'm still confused. It looked like he pointed back
to Mohawk. So the penalties against Mohawk in the end
zone maybe after the touchdown. I'm confused, But regardless, it's
that the touchdown does stand, So thirty five to seven
will be the attempt. If the attempt is good.

Speaker 1 (01:44:13):
Here here Aiden.

Speaker 2 (01:44:15):
Patresi out again to attempt his fourth extra point.

Speaker 1 (01:44:20):
Yep aid Patty, it's back, bring it down, kick us
up on the right foot. Oh, that was a powerful attempt.

Speaker 2 (01:44:30):
There, it works through.

Speaker 1 (01:44:31):
So I think the locker room Mohawk is thirty five
and enter ten seven, ten, ten to go in the
third quarter of this opening round playoff football game by
Magic ninety five to nine and I Heart Radio.

Speaker 1 (01:45:51):
Right correcting you back here to Sycamore Buhawk Warriors with
a thirty five to seven lead on the Ederton Dogs.
There's opening round playoff game. He reached twenty six the
Mohawk Warriors at home, hoping to advance to the second
round representing the N ten as the conference champions. Just

(01:46:13):
got the twenty yard touchdown run from Ben Bogner and
on the play there was a face mass penalty against Enterton,
so here we see that the rare situation and being
able to kick off the ball in the forty five
yard line of the opponents.

Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
Yeah, now is a good time to try an on
side kick. But I'm not thinking they're going to do it.
But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (01:46:39):
Here is the approach there, Frish, is it?

Speaker 2 (01:46:42):
Are you kidding?

He kicked it out the sideline out about.

Speaker 2 (01:46:49):

Speaker 4 (01:46:56):
So yeah, ten yards net on the kickoff.

Speaker 2 (01:46:58):
Oh well, yeah, went out of bounds and it'll be
first in ten for Edgerton. But the good news is
it's Mohawk thirty five to seven with ten ten to go.
A third quarter action and you couldn't have written the
script any better than what Mohawk did in the first half.
They ended up, you know, his pretty tight ballgame through

(01:47:20):
the first part of the second quarter, tying it up.
But then the Mohawk coming back with twenty one straight
and now twenty eight straight first at.

Speaker 1 (01:47:29):
Ten thirty five yard line, Baker's things on the left
side all pops lose it. Then he's able to recover
there at the forty yard line. Sanchez a bit frustrated
on that one, but nonetheless a positive game for Enterton.

Speaker 4 (01:47:44):
There to the forty yard line. Five yards.

Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Yeah, still completing a fair amount of passes. One hundred
and forty one yards for Maddix Baker, but he's not
hitting his receivers in stride. They're having to really work
hard or dive to the ground to catch the balls.

Speaker 1 (01:48:01):
Second and five, forty yard line four his entereding team
down thirty five to seven. Quarterback Baker has it to
the right side on the move and then passes it
to Koranz and cont around the forty four yard line.
Not enough for the first down. I had to get
to the forty five. So yeah, just a yard shy

(01:48:21):
right there for Enterton.

Speaker 2 (01:48:27):
So third and one, coach barking instructions to Ben Bogner, saying,
you know you got to stop that absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:48:37):
Third and one here, receive quarterback hands it off to
Kurant to stretch it out the left side and gets
hit there by a cane Hayman right there at the
forty five yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:48:47):
Looks like just enough for the first down.

Speaker 1 (01:48:49):
He did, He did get just enough for them. If
he's on the acker first down, I don't want it.

Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
But he's gonna feel that one on Saturday morning. Hayman
made sure of that.

Speaker 4 (01:48:56):
Yeah, indeed, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:48:59):
So first and ten, fourty five yard line, he forty
five to go in the third quarter, train to get
thirty five to seven. Enter two with the ball snap back,
Baker passed left side and caught there by corner Gibson
for game the forty eight yard line, pickup of three.

(01:49:19):
So they're just gonna look to keep things pushing. Here,
second down and seven from the forty eight, the quarterback
has a snap here Mannix. Baker looks at the left
throws a Lord Delfia one O one and catch it
nose bound. He kind of see they're discussing.

Speaker 2 (01:49:41):
The sideline official says it's a catch.

Speaker 4 (01:49:44):
Then that yeah, that would be Yeah, they're gonna discuss it.

Speaker 1 (01:49:46):
Yeah, what did they see? Yes, because I saw one
official saying that it was no but yeah, if the.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
Maybe he was juggling it when he went out of bound.

Speaker 1 (01:49:54):
So okay, so now they agree it is a catch
a reception, Wow, oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (01:50:04):
So what do we have forty eight down to there?
So that's gonna be thirty one yards.

Speaker 1 (01:50:12):
Carter Gibson, he's he's done well, even though his team
trail is big thirty five to seven, so versus ten,
twenty one yard line entered trying to get some more
points on the board, railing here to quarterback Baker under
some pressure from Canaan Biss passed up that one deflected
in complete.

Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
Could have had offensive pass interference on that one, but
no penalty flag there. It looked like the receiver pushed
off turned around trying to get the ball too. Carter
Gibson again, but he was basically just relegated to playing
defense on that plate, and I thought he made contact

(01:50:51):
before the ball arrived. Kirk.

Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
Yeah, with the yeah, clean place. So it's like a
down in ten from the twenty one yard line, trailing
it thirty five to seven.

Speaker 2 (01:51:02):
The quarterback has a snap, Baker passed dear side.

Speaker 1 (01:51:05):
He overshoots his man looking for welcome Joel Walkob really
didn't have much chance there now.

Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
Yeah, you can see his left leg wrapped and he
just doesn't seem to have that burst that he needs.
So he's he's out there, he's being a gamer, but
he is not at full strength. Kirk, I'm absolutely convinced.

Speaker 1 (01:51:26):
Yeah, Yeah, just tough to get out right, being there
for his team.

Speaker 8 (01:51:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:51:31):
Not easy, Yeah, not easy when you're banged up. But
here we go, third down in ten, twenty one yard line,
heading toward the red zone, Ederton trailing it thirty five
to seven. Third quarter, quarterback Baker has a snap left
side under some huge pressure here. It just goes out
of bouncer was right hard on him where.

Speaker 2 (01:51:49):
He's still got the ball. Wow. Yeah, at that point,
he should have thrown it and he would have gained
himself fifteen yards that he just took as a loss.
So yeah, literally a fifteen yard loss.

Speaker 1 (01:52:09):
Wow. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why he didn't do that. Yeah,
that's uh yeah, that would have to be uh regarded
as a mistake there. So but good for mohawk obviously.
Brings on fourth down and twenty five from the thirty
six yard high Edgerton going forward here pistol. Look, Baker

(01:52:30):
has a snap, good protection here, but it starts to
break down and the throw coming back.

Speaker 2 (01:52:36):
For it as CNN does.

Speaker 1 (01:52:38):
Look like he makes a catch, but it's gonna end
up being.

Speaker 2 (01:52:42):
Ane yard reception and well short of not enough for
the first down.

Speaker 1 (01:52:46):
Yeah, so turnover on downs gets the ball back to
the Mohawk Warriors with seven forty eight to go on
the third head leading at thirty five to seven in
this opening round playoff game.

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
Well, hats off to Carter Gibson hundred four yard receiving day,
and you know he's been pretty much the only bright
spot with that seventy three yard touchdown reception in the
first half. So, uh, you know, they're playing hard out there,
but I think right now they're just under man The
quarterback's not really at full strength and their running back

(01:53:18):
is not either. For the Bulldogs, it's a.

Speaker 1 (01:53:22):
Ten thirty three yard line going underground, Canaan bish out
to the outside, here goes Canaan midfield and then tripped
up there. The forty five yard line may even have
a little bit more than that, obviously with no flags
on the field.

Speaker 2 (01:53:35):
Matthew's Honaker first now twenty five yard pickup.

Speaker 4 (01:53:42):
Down to the forty two and entered territory.

Speaker 2 (01:53:46):
That puts bish up to eighty yards on five carries.
He's also got thirteen yard or four a touchdown in
the first.

Speaker 1 (01:53:53):
Half versu ten forty two yard line, seven seventeen to
out in the third Moha trying to add to a
thirty five to seven lead hand off to Caden Bish
bounce out the left side, squirms around, spin's ayshawing the
moves and takes it across the thirty yard line and
tackled by Krantz and Baker had yet another Matthews Hanaker

(01:54:14):
first out for Caden Bish.

Speaker 2 (01:54:18):
Another fourteen yards. He's closing in on a hundred yard rushing.

Speaker 1 (01:54:23):
Day, Cayden Bish. He has definitely been impressive. Under seven
to play in the third, first and ten twenty eight
yard line in Enterton Territory, Buhok with the ball up
thirty five to two seven Bogner from the shot gunning position.
That's a snap. He ands it off to Caden Bish
again and this time multiple bulldogs are right there to

(01:54:46):
greet him with the hit. Doesn't look like he's able
to get any gain on that one.

Speaker 2 (01:54:52):
Now back to the line of scrimmage and lucky to
get that Ben Bogner turned around to see three men
on top of him. He pushed him forward just to
get back to the original line of scrimmage.

Speaker 1 (01:55:05):
Yeah they yeah, they just spotted it back at yard there.
Oh yeah, so they got walking down to the eleven.
So Bogner has a snap rolls to the right, got
six feet past left side by Claus that makes the
catch shut the twenty two yard live.

Speaker 2 (01:55:26):
By a five six yards five fifty six ago with
a third for seven passing sixty six yards for Ben Bogner.
Klaus with his first reception.

Speaker 1 (01:55:52):
All right here we go right back to Bogner on
the snap, works his way to the left side across
the twenty yard line, wrapped up near the fifteen by
Karans with some help from Baker yep, but that is
enough to move the sticks for the Matthews on acroa
first down.

Speaker 2 (01:56:11):
Out there, seven yard pickup and five forty one to
go and Mohawk looking to make this a running clock
if they're able to get this ball into the end
zone or get a field goal.

Speaker 1 (01:56:28):
That's exactly what it'll be if they score here. So
let's see it. First and ten fifteen yard line in
the red zone. Quarterback Bogner from the gun has the
snap chest high, rolls to the right side, tucks it
and runs it. Bogner looking to take his.

Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
Way all the way to the in zone and he
got it, yeah, Ben.

Speaker 1 (01:56:49):
Fifteen yard play Ben Bogner from the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
Ben Boehner just you know, running like there's no tomorrow.
I mean, he is just running with total authority out there,
and it just appears to be in total control. He
really is having an outstanding ball game. Second rushing touchdown
of the game one hundred and forty two yards and
fifteen yard are to cap things off with four fifty

(01:57:14):
three to go in the third quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:57:17):
That sound brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers.

Speaker 8 (01:57:20):
Come up.

Speaker 1 (01:57:23):
And are they gonna let him do the kick or
they're whistling this one dead for some reason.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Got a player in not a mouth guard or able
to equipment issues there yep, just equipment. So no time
out charged or anything other gips.

Speaker 1 (01:57:40):
He just goes out the game, all right, So or
the extra point, let it down, kick us up with
the right foot. Yep, no problem, Brandon so on our
Warrior will sentire scoreboard. Mohog Warriors completely dominant right here. Yeah,

(01:58:03):
and as you know that, Jim looking at a running clock.
Week come back for fourteen to go in the third
there's our high school football game of the week. I'm

High School football Magic ninety five nine with the House
of University of Marion. Kickoff and it is picked up
for Kellen Sanchez across the thirty five mixed.

Speaker 4 (01:59:36):
Across the forty yard line. Pretty good return.

Speaker 1 (01:59:38):
Hayden Parker in on the tackle and special team for
the Mohawk Warriors along with n Patresei. Forty two to
seven is a Moulhawk leave a three forty six to
go in this third quarter. Yeah, now things are getting
pretty tough here for Enterton on the road.

Speaker 2 (01:59:57):
All right, Patresei comes up and I'm not sure if
his shoe was partially off. He keeps reaching down either
for his shoe or his calf, limping just a little
bit with that right leg, and keep an eye on him.

Speaker 1 (02:00:11):
All right. So first down and ten from the forty
three yard line, Ederton with the football quarterback, has a snack.
Matnic's Baker on the move left say, oh, it just
slides down. I don't even know what happened to it.
I guess he was just declaring himself down there.

Speaker 2 (02:00:29):
Yeah, they're actually gonna put him back for maybe a
yard loss.

Speaker 1 (02:00:36):
Yeah, that was I'm not sure what happened on that one.
But second down, had ten from the forty three yard line.
I thought he would have been going for some more yards.
But here's Baker passed far side. It is complete, keeps it,
puts on the move, gets in the cross of the
forty five yard line into Mohawk territory. When the Matthews
hunt acker first down for they entered into Bulldogs sixteen.

Speaker 2 (02:00:59):
Yards completion rams well, Carter Gibson having the game of
his life, hundred and twenty yards and receptions, but unfortunately
it appears to be in a losing effort.

Speaker 1 (02:01:11):
Versut ten from the forty two yard line. Yeses say,
trail at forty two to two seven and the quarterback, Oh,
we get a flag out here and the pass downfield
caught by Gibson across the twenty yard line, tackled by
Caleb bish But we've got this flag to deal with.

Speaker 4 (02:01:26):
Or entertain and appears is going to be a hole
and bring it back.

Speaker 2 (02:01:29):
Yeah, Reminger was holding and he said, yeah, they held me,
so he knew what the score was going to be.
And so that will move it back ten yards and
take away a nice fifteen to twenty yard game.

Speaker 1 (02:01:53):
Yes, it's uh. Is this not getting any easier? It
seems for Enterton. Tonight we go first and twenty from
the forty eight yard line.

Speaker 2 (02:02:05):
You have to give a lot of credit to this defense.

Speaker 1 (02:02:08):
Baker passed far side Cott Gibson and Shimp rides him
out of bounds near the forty five yard line. Still
long way to go for to get to the first
down marker, which would be the thirty two yard.

Speaker 2 (02:02:24):
Line, eight yard pass play pickup down.

Speaker 1 (02:02:28):
And second to twelve forty four yard line. Baker has
a snap four enterten rolls to the right and the
pass on the move Cotton near side Corey Herman out
of bounds and it's incomplete because of the out of bounds.

Speaker 2 (02:02:43):
D sideline official right on top of that, about six
yards away from the play and instantly move the arms
in the direction of the out of bounds. So just
an incompletion on third and twelve, final minute, you're the
third corner.

Speaker 1 (02:03:04):
Yeah, of course with the running clock, yes, the incompletions
and out of bounds, it doesn't matter. Clock continues ago,
they're out of twelve. Quarterback Mattos Baker. He's got a
nice arm to get his penalty flag caught by Scotty
Krantz at the forty yard line.

Speaker 2 (02:03:21):
They may just decline this one. They'll see what coach
decides to do here. Yep, sidelight warning there so sideline
warning against the coach and so there's no penalty yard

(02:03:45):
to just as this time, but there will be if
a second infraction occurs, and that's going to be the
last play of the third quarter.

Speaker 1 (02:03:55):
There it is so at the end of three on
our Wilson Tire scoreboard, it is forty two Edgarton's seven.
We'll be back for the start of the fourth quarter
of a runn' clock here and are opening around contests
high school football Magic ninety five to nine and iHeartRadio.

Speaker 5 (02:04:14):

fourth and eight.

Speaker 1 (02:05:25):
Let's see it, fourth and eight from the forty. Oh
Baker in some trouble under pressure, throws it.

Speaker 2 (02:05:31):
Picked off, can't go all the way.

Speaker 1 (02:05:33):
Oh, it's Kate.

Speaker 13 (02:05:34):
Haman looking two truck all the way.

Speaker 1 (02:05:37):
To the insul four no touchdown up pick six for
Kate Haman. A huge explanation point right at the start
of the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (02:05:49):
Yeah, sixty five yards there for Hayman, and you just
felt like it was gonna happen at any time because
the first half they didn't get any turnovers and unfortunately
this team Edgerton has turned over the ball a lot
this year. That's number sixteen on the season. They're still
positive in the turnover takeaway giveaway ratio. But now it's

(02:06:13):
just insult to injury there Hayman just baiting him waiting
for that one.

Speaker 1 (02:06:18):
So Caine Hayman with the premiere obtometry group turnover for
the Mohawk Warriors and a touchdown brought to you by
the Central Ohio Farmers co Ops. So here we go
with Adon PATREESA. You were ready to kick in the
point after five on the night. Here that is back,

(02:06:39):
it is held, is down, the kick is up, and
it is through. So when I was a tire scoreboard,
it it's a Mohawk forty nine and Edgerton seven ten.

Speaker 4 (02:06:52):
Twenty four to go in the fourth of this opening.

Speaker 1 (02:06:55):

Speaker 8 (02:07:58):
The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (02:08:04):
Yes ten twenty four to go in the fourth quarter
of a running clock the Whole Mohawk Warriors with a
forty nine to seven lead on the Edderton Bulldogs running clock.
As we noted, we're about to get an Ohio State
University of Bury and kickoff accent frish as they get

(02:08:26):
the oh look looks like they're passing the ball out
of the return from Brayden Leppelemeyer to the near side
to Scotty Korantz got stopped across the thirty yard line.

Speaker 2 (02:08:40):
Absolutely no blocking out there, so unfortunately, yeah, pretty as
that looks and everything else, very ineffective play they I'm
very sure they would have got more yardage had they
just hung on to it and gone up the right
side where the wall was, but that's their choice.

Speaker 1 (02:08:57):
Yeah, not really much doing right there. Does appear that
the Mowk Warriors are going to advance to the next
round and the opponent could be McComb. Seeing that Macomb
with a twenty one to fourteen lead on Eden's Wow,
So yeah, I mean that's in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (02:09:13):
From what I saw, still a possibility.

Speaker 1 (02:09:16):
So Washton ten thirty two yard line heading it off
to the right size, got Ay Kronz goes to the
forty yard line forty.

Speaker 4 (02:09:23):
Oh doesn't get away.

Speaker 8 (02:09:24):
He does.

Speaker 1 (02:09:25):
Oh, he is a loose Scottie Korn all the way
to the in zone for a touchdown on the sixty
eight yard play.

Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (02:09:37):
It might not be enough to get this team back
into the game, but that was a moment.

Speaker 2 (02:09:42):
Definitely just a heck of a play. And we've seen
his speed on some other plays and he definitely got
to showcase it right there. He is just quick.

Speaker 1 (02:09:54):
Will give him a lot of credit. He is a
heck of a football player. And you know, it's been
a rough night for Edgerton, but he showed it right there.
Touchdown brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op.
So Parker Eldon for the point after for Enterton, it's
up and yes it is wort all right. So on

(02:10:18):
our Wilson Tires scoreboard, it's forty nine to fourteen Mohawks
and with the big lead on Edgerton, but the Bulldogs
with a second touchdown a fourteen to go in the
fourth corner. I'm magic ninety five to nine and iHeartRadio.

High School Football Magic ninety five nine mohawk with a
forty nine to fourteen lead on Edderton. But Ederton shows
something right there with huge touchdown job, so they are
just not going to necessarily go quietly. He's got a cross.
There's a huge sixty eight yard play, so we get

(02:12:00):
to know O Su and Marry and kicked off here
and yep. Interesting, he got hit. I saw him wave
the arm, but uh okay, no penalty.

Speaker 2 (02:12:15):
Didn't hit him super hard, but still not supposed to
touch him once they signaled the fair catch.

Speaker 1 (02:12:20):
So yeah, Liam Purcell, he appears to be just fine. Yes,
interesting though nonetheless, and by the way, for that Macomb
Eden game, the Panthers extended the lead from what I
saw of twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (02:12:38):
To fourteen on Eden, so I guess that's why we
play him on Friday.

Speaker 1 (02:12:43):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:12:44):
That's surprising, very surprising. Eden came in at nine and
one and top ranked.

Speaker 1 (02:12:50):
They can handle the verse and ten from the forty
three yard line for the Mohawk Warriors. That bag Oh
the ball dropped there by ending Klous who sitting there
a quarterback, and then like that they they recovered it though, Wow,
Ederton has the ball, saw Noah Weaver picking up He

(02:13:10):
may have been the one who recovered it.

Speaker 2 (02:13:13):
Yeah, I think he was, so Ben Boger. Bogner never
really got to handle the ball.

Speaker 4 (02:13:18):
He was Klaus. Oh was Klaus, Yeah, Anthony Klaus.

Speaker 1 (02:13:24):
So that was just uh yeah, there's some discombobulation right
there on that play. So well, Ederton, see what they'll
do here, just not really enough time trailing good forty
nine to fourteen was six thirty three at least, I
wouldn't think.

Speaker 2 (02:13:42):
But they'll keep it trying.

Speaker 1 (02:13:44):
Nonetheless, as manex Baker with the ball, there's some pressure
and Er runs and Wax and Frish able to make
the hit here the thirty sixty yard line, and.

Speaker 2 (02:13:56):
In Klaus coming back to make the tackle as well,
getting a hand in there. Second and nine.

Speaker 1 (02:14:05):
If we head toward the six minutes mark, second down
to nine from the thirty six second quarterback has it here.
Baker rolls to the right under pressure from Parker. Pass
it is complete on the right side to Weaver and

(02:14:26):
he has tackled around the thirty yard line by the
Mohawk Warriors. Oh we were not able to get away
from Mason Schimpens.

Speaker 2 (02:14:39):
Two hundred eight yards passing for Maddox Baker seventy three
coming forward on one play. He also had an interception
for a pick six along the way.

Speaker 4 (02:14:52):
Third and three from the thirty yard line.

Speaker 1 (02:14:56):
Snap is back to Baker, sets the feet, puts it
up looking down field for Gibson, incomplete with Drew Woodland
and covered for the Mohawk Warriors.

Speaker 2 (02:15:06):
Gibson getting up slow but getting a hand up and
a good sportsmanship form Hayden Parker. It's going to be
fourth down, three to go, yes, So given the situation
fully expected, then I'll just go for it. Tier ball
all the way down on the thirty yard line. Definitely
too far to kick. They're only one of five kicking

(02:15:27):
and a field goal doesn't help you much here, regardless.

Speaker 4 (02:15:32):
Or the three from the thirty absolutely so let.

Speaker 1 (02:15:36):
That bag. Baker to go to the ground with Korans
and uh like a good one. First got Krantz to
the twenty five yard line. Matthew Ton acker first down
for entertainments.

Speaker 2 (02:15:55):
Well outside of that sixty five yard touchdown run sixty
eight yard touchdown run, he had twenty four yards but
on corked one.

Speaker 1 (02:16:04):
On the last drive ten for twenty five yard line.
Baker passed downfield up for san chance, but cannot hold
on looking for Kelln Chaz That could not hold onto
the ball and drew Woodland again. It covered from the
Bullhawk Warriors still working hard in the secondary.

Speaker 2 (02:16:24):
So second and ten clock ticking down under three forty five.

Speaker 1 (02:16:33):
All right, let's see what they do with the second
down and ten play. Here, quarterback Baker as a snap
on the near side. It's a wobbler on the readjustment.
Crunts not able to make the catch near the five
yard line. But we get the flag. Yeah, it was
a passenger here. It's most likely.

Speaker 2 (02:16:56):
Appearance some of the crowd not understanding that one. I
didn't see it, but the ball apparently tipped. Can't that's
why yep, they are marking it off.

Speaker 4 (02:17:15):
Yeah, so yeah, that is interesting.

Speaker 7 (02:17:22):
It looked like.

Speaker 1 (02:17:26):
Versy ten from the twelve yard line as a quarterback.
As a snap, Baker towardy it Zonne and yeah, I
don't know if he's able to hold on the dock.

Speaker 2 (02:17:34):
Yeah, Sanchez might have been out of bounds when he
caught it.

Speaker 1 (02:17:38):
Not able to get that one. Clock continues to move
two and a half remaining in the fourth quarter of
this one. The Mohawk Warriors ready to advance to the
second round. It's like a down in ten or take

(02:18:04):
quarterback Baker with time pass. It's on the floor with
the right hand by true Woodland. He has been a
true star defensively on this drive.

Speaker 2 (02:18:17):
Yeah, real nice play there, just reaching up with the
right paw and knocking it out. Wow, bring up third down.
So basically, no matter what happens here, Mohawks should be
able to just run things out, barring timeouts by the Bulldogs.

Speaker 1 (02:18:38):
Third and ten from the thirteen yard time Baker, he
hangs out there at.

Speaker 2 (02:18:46):
The quarterback offensive lineman. The flat comes up far side
of the right side. He stood all the way up
and then went kind of halfway down into a crouch
and yeah, that just doesn't work.

Speaker 1 (02:19:06):
Yep. So at that five yard pilt right. Then the
clock continues to move as we had towards the final minute.
Guys heard down team here quarterback Baker that was reflected
all most picked off at the last moment there, but

(02:19:27):
it falls down.

Speaker 2 (02:19:30):
Jeff Lesser rather being out there.

Speaker 7 (02:19:35):
Might be the.

Speaker 1 (02:19:41):
Fourth the fifteen. Yep, this probably will do it. So Baker,
that was it up towards the ends.

Speaker 8 (02:19:46):
On one on one.

Speaker 2 (02:19:49):
Wow with off though he pushed off with the left hand.
Though we'll see what all I'm gonna say it's offensive
pass interference. We'll see Nope, they called it against the defense.
I disagree wholeheartedly, but that's okay. That's gonna be the
last I get that ball down on time?

Speaker 1 (02:20:10):
Is there six seconds? As they're running here, only four
seconds left. They want to get some more points, but
obviously Mohawk's gonna win the game and time expires.

Speaker 2 (02:20:19):
You had three timeouts left.

Speaker 1 (02:20:21):
That is it could have called that game is over
and the Mohawk Warriors winners in Round one. In advance
with this forty nine to fourteenth victory overt Edgerton, completely
dominant win here for the Warriors as they will.

Speaker 2 (02:20:39):
Get set to play.

Speaker 1 (02:20:41):
In the regional quarterfinal round versus either Eden or McComb,
and last check, McComb had a two touchdown lead in
that game, so we shall see.

Speaker 2 (02:20:53):
Yeah, big surprise there, but we'll let you know. So
good game by the Mohawk Warrior Kirk. I think they
really just came out with a heck of an attitude tonight.
They were firing off the ball on the very first drive,
moved things down the field, got the first score of
the ball game. And Ben Bogner, what can you say?

(02:21:14):
I mean, he just was a man possessed all night long.
I haven't seen him run as hard as he ran
in this football game all season long. He's had bursts
now and again, but tonight it was very consistent. Time
after time. Ben Bogner didn't matter what you know. He
had success first of all running to the left, but
then he got two of his touchdowns running to the

(02:21:35):
right side with a little misdirection and the play may
have been designed to go to the left, but he
cut it back to the right and was able to
get a couple of touchdowns and just really dominated with
his legs. Didn't have to do that much in his
arms with his arms, but he was able to get
you know, one touchdown pass with his arm as well,

(02:21:57):
and just an outstanding effort, it certainly was. And the
defense just phenomenal all night long, you know. They Yes,
they did allow a late touchdown here and the ball
game was tied at seven to seven, but that seems
like eons ago.

Speaker 1 (02:22:14):
Yeah, yeah, that was some time ago. Yes, it was
so victory tonight for the home the Mohawk Warriors will
take a little break, we'll come back for some postgame
talk and of course we'll have our fay Hee Bank
play of the game. We'll talk about that as well,
so much as these Warriors are gonna get ready for
a second round playoff game. But again, it is a

(02:22:36):
final forty nine to fourteen Mohawk defeats enterted for matthew
Ton Daker. A game of the week I'm atter ninety
