Speaker 1 (00:00):
He got near the forty yard live and just im
bowling it.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It looks good like a first down that it is.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
It is a Matthews hanaker, a first down for Columbus Grove.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yeah, he needed a yard. He got about a yard
and a football there. His knee went down, so even
though he landed a little more forward. It's right now
on the forty two yard line.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
First and ten, Columbus Grove first drive of this game,
and he passed it back to Hopkins. He looks to
the left, he sends a receiver down and he puts
it up in the air. Let's see all deflected and complete.
Kine Haymon got both hands in there. He has been
everywhere defensively for the Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
We've done.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
He's got five interceptions on the season, and he was
looking for number six right there.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Yeah, he leads the team and there's no question why
he's got that ability to close down a large distance
in a short amount of time. He just had excellent
coverage there all the way. I'm surprised at Hopkins threw
that pass. He's only got two interceptions on the year,
but he almost got his third.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I could down in ten forty two yard line in
Mohak Territory. Columbus Garver, who has the Hopkins Gins and
off Turtain Parassa. He makes it to the thirty five
yard line tackle from behind by the combination of Garrett,
Ryan Hart and.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
And klows you're righthart. So that's the thing with Barrossa.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
We know that he continues to move forward every time
he has that football. So where we go, third down
and four to thirty six yard line again, they go
with a pistol. Look here, Kyle Hopkins, a quarterback, Barrossa
is behind them. Two receivers to the right of the formation,
snaps back ended off Barrossa right up the middle, and
he can get those hard yards and he has a
nose for first down markers. He's got another one, Matthews
(01:42):
Hondaker a first down to the thirty yard line in
Mahawuk Territory.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Four carries eighteen yards already. H And it looks like
they've been running left most of the time with Barraza
still trying to watch that offensive line, defensive line play,
and so far are early going. It's gone to the
Bulldogs first.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
A ten thirty yard line, no score. First drive, snap
back Hopkins, and he flips it over to the left
side and Baxter stopped near the line of scrimmage. Not
really much doing there for a Trevin Bexter who's an
excellent receiver and running back. So looks like we'll have
a second down and ten. Good job for the Mohawk Warriors.
(02:25):
Hupers route there.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, they'll run a lot of their receivers running around
in the backfield like that and tried to go around
the left side. Excellent defense by the Mohawks squad.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Second down to ten from the thirty yard line, snap
back to Hopkins, fakes the handoff to ever Soul he's
got protection, throws it vers toward Barassa and that's incomplete
good defense right there for Inton Kleows an excellent position.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yeah, threw that one into double coverage. Ben Boegner coming
over as well. Actually, no, that was a that was
a lineman actually back there. I saw the six, but
it was actually Garrett Reinhardt all the way back there
with him watching him. So he must be a signed
to make sure that that doesn't happen.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Thirty and ten from the thirty yard line, Columbus grow
backs to mostly quarterback Hopkins hands at all Barrossa left side.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Here we go and Printon takes.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Her the cost of the twenty three yard line form
back of her first down for Columbus Growth.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
They are red soul.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yeah, you might say third and ten, why in the
world would you run the ball. But when you got
a guy averaging nine yards of carry he picked up eleven?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
There dit to go first at ten yep, right back
to Barassa on the ground and he makes his way
inside the ten yard line.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Trittin Barossa see where they spurted here first in goal.
They dropped the yard markers.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Right back to Barassa and he gets flipped down by
Drew Woodland and Caleb bish near the five yard line.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Garrett Reinhart also helping out on that tackle.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
So they spottled the.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Ball at the six yard line near side hash for
Columbus Grove. All right, They break the huddle and it
is Hopkins at the controls.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Barrossa's behind him. Of course, backster in motion.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Quarterback has a snaphands off to Barrossa, goes left and
then leaves toward the goal, but stops shy but the
marking him at the.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Two Caleb bish coming up for the stop and real
nice play there, so see what they can do. Third
and goal from the.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
One and Hopkins si Barassa and he slips in for
a touchdown Rent Barossa touchdown number thirty.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
One on the season. He is a special player.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
And Columbus Grove strikes first touchdown broughts you by the
Central Ohio Farmers go on.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, fifty three yard drive and forty three of that
coming on the heels of Barraza.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
He is quite a dynamic talent, so many colleges are
interested in his services. He has not announced yet, but
he is clearly focusing on the job right here. So
Evan verhoff a point after it is up off his
right foot and he's going Colinar Wilson Tires scoreboard. It
(05:36):
is Columbus Grove seven Mohawk Zeros. So clearly the Mohawk
Warriors got to figure something out here on how to
be able to respond.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
YEP, definitely going to have to get the offense going
here early and trying to come up with some different things.
I liked they did in the last game that I
did with you, Kirk, the misdirection that they did and
when you've got an excellent defense like this, Sometimes there's
a little bit of over pursuit. We'll be keeping my
eyes see if they try some of that misdirection here tonight.
(06:12):
So forty three yards on eight carries, including the one
yard touchdown play, and they took off a little over
four minutes, four minutes and twenty seconds off the clock
for that drive, fifty three yards in total.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
So eleven Vierhoff ready to kick off of house State
University of Marion kick off here for Columbus Grove.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And is up.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Here comes the approach swing through with the right foot
and Hayman and returning from the fourteen across the twenty
yard line and then cut down the sigh of the
twenty five yard pie. Well, now we get to see
the Mohawk Warrior offense gotta gets something to try to
(07:07):
keep pace with Columbus Grove, because we know the Bulltog's
very capable of cory a game like this, you gotta
consider probably need at least four touchdowns because in every
game Columbus Grove has gotten a minimum of four. So
here we go, first a hand ten for the Mohawk
(07:30):
Warriors twenty five yard line with the quarterback Ben Bugner
hit the cotton and motion is Caleb bish who takes
it on the dea sweep and he he comes on
the right side across the twenty five at Austin Genter
in the mix along with Jameson Raider on the tackle
for Columbus Grove.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Not a huge game, Kirk, but that's the kind of
thing that I was looking for. All the whole line
went left and then they give it to the back
coming around from the left. He goes around the right
side and a modest game three yards, but it does
keep the defense honest.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Second and seven from the twenty eight yard line, Yes,
indeed from the gun, let's sign him. It's Kate and
Bisch takes a hand off the Bisch to pass on
the far side cot By Hayman heads towards the sticks
and looks like he's got enough for that first down
across the thirty five yard line. Well done for Caine Hayman,
(08:22):
Matthews Honaker a first town. Yeah got and make sure
you keep him in the mix if you're the Littlehawk Warriors.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah, real nice pass play there, set up well. A
good blocking by his fellow receiver out there gave him
an extra three or four yards, just enough for that
first down.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
So first had ten from the thirty six yard line.
Cornerbacks got it here and Boger on the run to
pass to Hayman off the forty yard line, and then
a couple of hits right there, the last one being
by Jameson Raider.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
The first to hit him was Zaiden Patrick.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Generally with the Bulldogs, they have multiple hitters out there. Yeah,
able to pick up five yards. That certainly is favorable
for the Mohawk Warriors. So ball right there at the
forty one yard line in their own territory, treating gets
seven to nothing. First quarter was six thirteen to go
(09:19):
in the first Bogner from the gun shifting here Klaus cornerback.
Boger calls for and has a help and I snap
heads to the left side. He's a good runner, takes
on tacklers. But yes, the Bulldogs they were ready right
there around the forty two. So game of one for
Ben bog Ner.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yeah, it was good line penetration on that play. It
was number sixteen, that's Luke Gross and uh five eleven
hundred and seventy five pound defensive linemen. He kind of
squirted through on the right side of the line and
kind of blew that thing up before it got started.
Bogner was able to at least get a couple of
positive yards.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Third and four from the forty two yard line. Four
receivers going out cornerback Boters got this, have good protection here,
he can run and he's taken across the forty five
yard line. Yell, let's see about the spot heads out
of bounds there, he's docked out terror. It looks like
a really good run and there calling it Matthew Zannaker
a first town for the Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah, five yard pickup for Bogner, and he's running with
a good heads up approach and he looked. He saw
Hayman was out there, but it was well covered. It
had double coverage there, so he gave a little pump
fake and gave him just enough to get that first
down there. Five yard pickup.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yes, first and ten, forty eight yard line.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Mohawk with the ball in their own territory, down seven
to nothing in those first quarter. Tritton Barozzo with the
first score of this game for Columbus Growth on a
one yard touchdown. Here we go back to Bogner Santempa
screen left side Caden Bish.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
He gets tripped over.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
On the left side by Kevin Barronza right there at
the forty eight yard line. So yeah, that doesn't look
like there's any game there.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Yeah, just maybe a half a yard, just barely moves
the stick on the far sideline. But real nice job
quarterback Bogner did not get frazzled there because that was
blitz from both corners and he got that ball off
and at least did not take a loss there.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
So they call it second and nine, But the ball
wasn't really at the forty nine to sep the screen,
a near side kalab Bish holds on to it and
gets ripped up by multiple bull tobs, including Landon Houston
and Jameison Raider and Austin Gander.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
I mean that's how it is.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Just every time you get the ball, you're gonna have
to deal with multiple bull talks. So third down and
two from the forty four yard line, Ogner from the gun,
claps his hands and then steps out of it, looks
over toward his old sideline. We got trips to the
left on this play. The near side receiver is Caine
(11:55):
Hayman with four twelve, remaining in the first corner and trailing.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
At seven to nothing.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Bogner has a high stap, handles it, runs right side,
takes it right at Levi s Rader. Oh, A nice
tough game there for a first town Bogner to the forty.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Real nice job by Eli Sveltier and Brackston Jenkins on
that right side pushing people back. And yeah, he had
to adjust and took an extra second extra step to
get his feet under him after that snap, and a
real nice job by the line to push people off there.
So real positive play there and another first down first.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
And ten forty yard lining Columbus Grove Territory Mohawk ball
down seven zip. Late in his first quarter. Bogner from
the gun, has the snap and he waits for blockers,
goes left side and he gets tripped up right near
the thirty five yard line. Jamison Raider was able to
get a handle on his ankle ham.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Bring him towel. Wow.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, another blitz on that play, and that time it
was land in Houston come in. But real nice job
by the running back Bish and he picked up that
blitz and able to get Bogner free for another five yard.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Pickup second down and five from the thirty five yard line.
As we had to the three minute mark of this
fast moving first corner down seven to nothing, it's Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Do they have an answer?
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Bogner and the gun three receivers at are right, Isshes
to his left and Cadence passed here. Sorry, oh mate,
let's see Caleb Bish. Yeah, he's like, I have that
catch in the officials degree right there at the twenty
six yard line.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Bubby had it.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah, he threaded that past dude, Ben Bogner. There were
defenders all the way around it, but he snuck it
underneath their arms and going down to the ground was
Bish picking up that ball in another eight yard gain.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
First in ten twenty six yard lie in Columbus Grove Territory.
Bogner claps his hands, heads a snap heads to the left.
Some good protection in the past that went incomplete.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
On the far side.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Klouse the nearest receiver there for Mohawk, and we saw
Gaff and brasating coverage for the Boltdogs.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
That's first in completion for Ben Bogner three of four
and actually four or five checked that, so I've got
him for over almost thirty yards passing.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
All right, well, does indeed set up a second down
and ten Paul still at the twenty six yard line.
As they break the huddle, Mohawk trailer gets Steve into
nothing at Fastoria versus Culumbus Grove. Four receivers heading out
in this pattern. Three of them are to the left.
Bogner claps the hands, that's a snap, back pedals steps.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Into the pressure. Let's try to run away.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Bud Gander is able to hold on to him and
bring him down near the twenty three real.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Hard hit by Levi Schroeder. Gander kind of held him
up and Schroeder finished him off off the right on
that right arm. Bogner popped right up. I think he's okay.
Pretty tough hit there though. In third and seven, now, yeah,
they could use the goods here.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Let's see thurnhad seven as you mentioned for the twenty
three yard line in Columbus Grove territory. We'll hope with
them all won forty five to go in this first quarter,
trailing get seven to nothing, empty set for Ben Boger
paps the hands, has a snap, heads over to the left.
Lisa protection against Colin Miles pass. This all on the
near side and it's sailed away from him, trying to
find Kane Hayman near the ten yard line, but it's incomplete.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Bring us on.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Fourth down, yep, and they're gonna have to go for
it here just a little too far, I think to
try a field goal here. Forty nine degrees was our
game time temperature and should hold pretty much in the
mid to upper forties here for the majority of the
first half.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
At least all right, Like you mentioned, they are going
fourth down, had seven twenty three yard line, one thirty
one to go, first quarter, down seven to nothing, no
Hawk snap back. Bogner fakes a hand off to Caden
biff On. The protection breaks down and cannot get away
from blackamyre O Late and Blackamire. He is one tough
(16:15):
customer and he takes down another Tuppy and Ben Bogner.
So it is a turnover on downs, and this is
the way that Columbus Grove plays the Warriors. Not surprised
at all. Just gotta hangs up out there.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah, twelve yard loss on the play, so taking over
on downs. As you mentioned, one minute, twenty three seconds
left to go. But not a bad opening drive, just
fizzled there at the end, and they did a pretty
good job with the pressure. Overall, they backed off the
blitzeres until that play. They had five people, so one
blitzer on that play and he was the one that
(16:50):
got him.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
First a ten thirty five yard line. Columbus grown with
the ball late in this first quarter leading against seven
to nothing. Kyle Hopkins the quarterback, and I smooth passes on.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
The near side and it's.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
About of bounds for Trevor Baxter. He caught it, but
it is not a legal reception at midfield. The official
was right there and said, nope.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
I agree wholeheartedly on that call. He was right on
top of it, was the official, and I didn't see
either foot in bounds in that one.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
So second I get one in Yep.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
High school, Florico College. You gotta have one.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
As we get a second down and ten thirty five
yard line. So we had toward the final minute in
the first quarter, leading at seven to nothing, Columbus Groves
snap back, Hopkins hands off, Trin Baross has the moves
forty five midfield. Oh, he's open to the forty to
the thirty five to thirty and then takes it right
at Caine Hayman who thrills him to the field. That's
a twenty one. But Trim Barossa, he has got the
(17:48):
moves and he is so fast when he starts colliding
with those launch trides. Matthews Hondaker first down Columbus Crow.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Yeah, he just eclipsed his entire first drive total forty
four yards on that play he had forty three. So
now up to eighty seven yards rushing for the night
and their time out called whistles.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
This is going to be a Mohawk time out of
years and Mohawk Warriors called for the crest Federal Credits
Union time out is fifty four seconds to go in
the first seven to zhing Columbus Grove with the lead.
Speaker 2 (18:21):

The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
While you were gone, we just got first down Trent
Barrozza for Columbus Garove. They are getting closer at the
eleven first and ten lead to get seven to nothing
lad in this first quarter snap back to Hopkins pitch
it over Barassa and then wrapped up and brought down
by Caine Hayman and helmet comes off for Barozza. He
(20:53):
is getting rough out there, but Barassa he is used
to it.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Second down, so Kane Hayman with a nice stop out
there and the helmet comes off. So Barraza is not
going to be out there for this play. He had
to check out for the equipment.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Yes, so see how they handle it here. Hopkins takes
a snap the hands off eversoul. He's a tough runner,
but he's brought down from behind by Brady Kaufman, and
he got some help from get Rid Reinhart and Kane
Hayman of course, who just is ready to hit everybody tonight.
Is the first quarter comes to an end, So if
Columbus Grove is the score on this drive, it will
be on the other end in the second quarter.
Speaker 2 (21:39):

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Week reason so could not get discourage being down the
(24:24):
two early touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Got to keep on battling if you're Bowhawk, yep.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Braza's definitely as advertised Kirk. We talked about during the
pregame that you know, yeah, if Mohawk could come up
with a way to slow him down. We didn't think
there was going to be a way to totally stop him.
But he has already got over one hundred yards rushing.
So that's game number thirteen in a row with one
(24:51):
hundred yards rushing this season, and he has one hundred
and seven yards and the two touchdowns a three yarder
just now and that drive though only took a little
over a minute fourteen seconds off the clock.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
How State University of Marion kickoff for Evan Verer hallf
this one caught in twenty one yard line Brex and
Frish for the Mohawk Warriors and move the legs right
in two a number of defenders is able to take
it across the thirty yard line. So that's where the
Mohawk Warriors gotta get a long drive go in here,
perhaps maybe get a big explosive play. Certainly they want
(25:28):
to get some points on this one. Trailing good fourteen
to nothing in the first minute of the second Quarner.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
Yeah, that first drive, they did move the ball fairly effectively,
but they're going to have to get some completions and
get some good rushing. They did a nice job rushing
to the left, and they had a couple of misdirection
plays that gave them some good positive yard and so
we'll look for more of that.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
First and ten from the thirty one yard line and
a quarner back Boonder, he's got the snap steps up,
all the pressure there, he gets wrapped up and Grope,
you noted him before he was in there to come
with that sack. Got some help from Laydon Blackhenmayer as well.
But groats, what the heck of.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
A play for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah, they did a real nice job, did the Bulldogs
on that play. They basically had a pocket that just
kind of collapsed around Bogner. So there was nowhere for
Bogner to go on that particular play.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Since up a second down in thirteen from the twenty
seven yard line. Bogner with the snap heads over to
the right side, steps in and he's tucking it, runs
to the right side at thirty then go right into
Jamison Raider and a Raider may have taken the toughest
part of that collision. Bogner ran out of bounds, all right,
(26:51):
So let's see where's this bull at the thirty one?
Speaker 2 (26:55):
All right?
Speaker 3 (26:55):
So got the four yards that they lost on the
previous play back.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
All right?
Speaker 1 (27:00):
So the third town to ten from the thirty one
yard Clawn down fourteen to nothing in the early moments
on the second quarter, and this regional set me found
all the Mohawk.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
War years.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
Columbus Grove Vonde snap us back to Bogner fakes a
hand off the bitch going down field looking for one
let who stretches out in complete at the thirty five
yard line and Trevin Bexter in coverage four the Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Yeah, there was plenty of contact there, but that catch
the official deemed that was not a catchable pass. Woodland
gave it his best effort. He was stretched out as
long as he could be, but still a couple or
three yards beyond him, and then the contact actually occurred
after the ball was by Woodland. So good note call
there by the official. But brings up fourth and ten
(27:49):
in a punting situation for Mohawk.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
It certainly does.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Here comes up punt from Bogner, this one across midfield
forty five and then taken off the bounds.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Here we go with.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Riven Dexter on the near side, and then just draw
a ton of bounds in the thirty the yard limes
against the Warrior presser. But this is an excellent field
position for sure for Columbus Grove already leading it by
two touchdowns yep.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Ten fifty two to go, early second quarter action and
the Bulldogs with a fourteen to nothing lead, and it's
just been all Braza so far, and that's pretty much
what we expected to see. He gains the vast majority
of their yards via the ground, and he can also
catch a few passes too. Not his claim to fame,
(28:37):
but definitely he's a multi threat in the return game
as well.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
First and ten, thirty two yard line snap us back
to the quarterback. Hopkins sets up a pass left side
to Basinger, a great basager a coast a fifteen yard
line nephew tadak were first down tackle made by Ben
Bogner for the Warriors, but so just seems to be
working here for Columbus Grove. And we see that Kyle
(29:05):
Hopkins a converted wide receiver. He's got a nice arm yep.
It's really amazing. You get a small town like this.
By the time you get to option number five, you're not.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Expecting a great quarterback, you know, but he's an excellent athlete.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Arson ten from the fourteen yard line, Hopkins passing on a.
Speaker 14 (29:23):
Run, picks off. Here comes Caleb bish On the sideline,
cuts inside twenty five and tackled at the thirty yard line.
Huge play for the Mohawk Warriors and close the door
there and get the ball back. So they've got the
premier up Tommetry group turnover and that is your Special
Teams Player of the Year.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
Who's also first team defense and offense for the end ten.
Caleb Bish has had a fantastic season and that.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Was a huge pick yep twenty six yards on the return,
picked it up at the five all the way up
to the thirty one. Real nice job, and I was
kind of worried about that the first few passes we
saw and Kyle Hopkins now just three of seven so
far on the night and that interception.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
First and ten thirty one yard line. Mohawk Warriors, they
have to feel like they're in business there.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
They dogs one.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
So with that pick down fourteen to nothing, see if
they could come up with some offense.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Then Bogner, he.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Is directing Traffick around there in the gun, has the
snap heads off to Caden Bish wiggles around, then it's
dropped near the forty yard line. Tromp and Bexter the
one who cleaned him up there. But hey, if they
can get Caden Bish into the mix, that is going
to be.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
A huge help. He got to the forty yard long.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, Cayden Bish, no slouch either. He averages six and
a half yards of carry, picks up nine theres second
and one, But he's got four hundred and sixty yards
on the season. And definitely, with the way that Bogner
has been tossing the ball around the field, that opens
up some things with the run on occasion, and that
keeps your defense honest as well.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Second to one from the forty yard line, Mohawk in
their own territory down fourteen to nothing in this second quarter,
stap back to Bogner, fakes a handoff, runs to the
right side, gets.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Away from Mays. Oh he's a cosmon Field and then.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
Funny gets slammed during the forty.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Eight yard line.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
How about that Kylon Mays, who's a tremendous defensive player
in the n WC Defensive.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Player of the Year.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
He was right there and Bugner somehow got away. Matthew's
honaker a first down Milwawk Warriors.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yeah, he's a real nice juke. Just give him a
little shoulder and a little chimmy and spins away. So
just an excellent job. And Columbus Grove coach Schaefer says, Yeah,
it's time to talk about this one. So we'll take
a time out as well.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Here, so the question Futtal Credit Union time out here

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
High School Football Magic ninety fives. We bring you back
to fall story Columbus rove with a fourteen to nothing
lead and coming up with a Premiere Optometry Group turnover,
they had a first intent from the forty nine Boner
got a five yard game, but on second down the
pass completed to Caine Hayman, but then the ball came
out and Columbus Grove did recover.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Yeah, Luke Grosch post poked that one away and it's
too bad. That was enough for a first down by
Caine Hayman, but they will take over after the turnover.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
The thirty six yard line.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Hand it off to trim Barrassa takes it up and
nice hard hit there from Caine Hayman. Try at the
forty five yard time and in Clumps was over there
as well for the Mohawk Warriors. But another big game
for Barraza nine yards at time for a trin so
(34:42):
sets up a second down and one for Columbus Grove,
leading it fourteen to nothing with just under eight minutes ago.
In the second quarter of the regional semifinals, snap back
to Hopkins, hands it off to Barazza the left side
coast Trenton oh nice low tackle Caleb bish near the
forty five yard lie.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Yeah, looks like they're gonna give him a four forward progress.
Not so sure about that one because he kind of
ducked back himself before he was hit Kurk, but they
do give him the first down. The chains move for
another Matthews Honda Akira first down seven forty and clock
ticking down. Second quarter action fourteen to nothing. Columbus Bulldogs
with the lead and the ball trying to move back
(35:20):
into Mohawk.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Territory at the ball spot at the forty six yard line,
first had ten. Columbus Groves now back to Hopkins, takes
the hand off to Barrasso, moves to the right ender
suppressure Forcatan bisch throws at the airmails of just over
to the sideline. Really nobody home. I'm not even quite
sure the intended receiver was perhaps ever saw, but yeah,
that wasn't close on that attempt, so'll bring on second tell.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yeah, both receivers on that side doubled coverage, Caine Hayman
over there, bish Owen Petrezi and then also Mason Schimp.
So they had it well covered. And coach probably told
him on that last time out after the interception, you know,
he throw it away if you don't have something forty
six out line.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Yes, they go with Trevan Baxter the little run to
the near side.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
It looks like he went out of bounds at the
near midfield, spawning him.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
We'll see what they're spotting.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Out shy a midfield forty nine yard line for Trevn bxter.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
Third and seven. Big down here, Mohawk needs to make
a stop, get this ball back and try to get
some points on the board. Real big play right here.
See if they can come up with the tackle for loss.
Haven't had one yet tonight. He had a couple no gainers.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
That's right, So all right, thirty seven forty nine yard
line pistol. Look here for Kyle Hopkins of Columbus Grove
has a snap and heads off to Trent Parazza left siders,
the moves and he's able to take it across the
forty yard line for the Matthew's son akra first down
sold but treesy over there among the tucklers for the
Mohawk Warriors and Garrett rein Hart. But again for Ross,
(36:57):
so quick and he does not shy away from the physicality.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Yeah, that was actually a real good job by the
defensive line. They kind of held everything, but Braza just
so shifty, able to give a little shimmy at the
line and all of a sudden, he's nine.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yards downfield first ad ten, forty yard line.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
A quarterback Hopkins has a snap, heads over to the
left side, and under some pressure roll on a nice
tackle there for one. But Teresa's showing the quickness near
the forty yard line. But Teresy the leading tackler for
the Mohawk Warriors this season. He has done a tremendous.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Chalk yep one yard. Well, they're actually going to give
him forward progress again somehow mysteriously that was actually the
first tackle for loss. But it's back at the line
of scrimmage, So first or second and ten rather.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Six twenty to go until a halftime second and ten
from the forty yard line. Columbus Grove trying to add
to a fourteen to nothing lead. Hopkins has a snap
and heads off to brossa right side motorca legs and.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Breaks through some tackles across the twenty.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yard line, ultimately brought down by Ben Bogner and Kane Hayman.
But of course that's another Matthew hont Agra first down
for Columbus Crows.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
Yeah, not gonna be able to stop him with one man,
that's for sure. And and Klaus kind of stood him
up there, but he just kept those legs churning and
moved a little bit and then was able to break
free and out of the grasp.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
All right, So red zone time here first and ten
twenty yard line and motion his Baxter quarterback Hopkins hands
it off to Rossa instead and shows the quickness. But
a nice tackle by Caleb bish near to thirteen, maybe
marked at the twelve, but yes, Barrossa just continues to
do positive games for this Bulldog seam has been doing
(38:49):
it all season long, actually for multiple seasons.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
He's been a tremendous player.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah, he needs I think two hundred and eighty three
yards heading into this ball game, and he's got about
half of that already to take over the all time
rushing lead at this school.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Second down into oh and then Hopkins not able to
get away from open Patreesy who just keeps that passion
going X and Rathburn also over there for the Warriors
as we're under five minutes of play, hit the second
corner heading toward halftime, Columbus Grove threatening to get a
third touchdown. Currently leading in fourteen to nothing in this
(39:27):
regional semifinal Falstario third down, then five the fifteen yard line,
snap back Hopkins hands off Barrossa, breaks through another tackle
and then brought down from the high The think is
garon Reinhardt. It was on the tackle, went inside the
ten yard.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Line, Kane Hammond helping out, but again not until another
first in goal and Matthew's Hondakira first down.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
At the eighty yard line.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
All right, so you're week going Columbus Grove with four
nineteen remaining until halftime. Kyle Hopkins sends one the motion,
Baxter has a snap hands off of Rossa. That's always
a good move, burrows through, keeps on fighting through tackles,
and then it's like a flag. Gu came in there
at the conclusion of that play here at the four
(40:20):
yard line.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
See if there's a face mask or crowd calling for
a horse collar earlier in the ballgame. But I didn't
see anything on either of those fronts. We'll just have
to see what the officials come up with here. It
is a face mask, okay, So they're on the they
were on the four, so it's half the distance that'll
(40:46):
move them down to the two.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
That certainly does versus goal from the two fore side
hash where Columbus Grove. So many times they just give
it to Trenton, say take it in for a touchdown.
We'll see of because with the snappy yep they go
with Triton Burrozza.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
It's the left side and he've been to the end.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Zone just like clockwork. Touchdown Club and Groves Touchdown.

The third film in the Black Panther series is in
development and it sounds like a big star is joining
the cast. In an interview, Denzel Washington let it slip
that Ryan Coogler, the franchisees co writer and director, was
writing in a part for the Oscar and Tony winner.
That may have been a slip on Denzel's parts andce
insiders have been tight lipped on plans for the third film,
with very little info being shared elsewhere. In the interview
(43:32):
with the sixty nine year old, Washington said that he's
revisiting the role of Othello, which he first played at
the age of twenty two, and that I'll play Hannibal
king Lear and retire after that. It's not sure what
the timeline for those performances or as possible retirement may be.
The two Black Panther films have grossed over two billion
dollars worldwide, so a third entry is a strong bet

The Mohawk Warriors with the ball.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
They had a first and ten from the thirty two
and Bogner with the run, got it to the thirty six,
tackled by Levi Schrader. All right, look I got a
second down seven. Booger with a snap, sets his feet long,
passed down field.
Speaker 14 (44:35):
Let's see for herburn off his left hand in complete near.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
The twenty yard line. Gavin Barazza was trailing defensively on
that one. Just a little bit too much there for
Himan to be able to pull that one in.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Still a very nice pass by Bogner, stretches out to
defense there. Hayman had a good shot at it, and
Bogner did a nice job keeping it away from any
chance at an intercept, throwing it to the outside shoulder.
Real nice effort by Hayman, just wasn't able to bring
it in with his left hand all the way outstretched.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
Third down and six from the thirty sixty yard line.
Mohawk with the ball under three to play until halftime,
trailing by three touchdowns. The quarterback Bogner has use half
hands it off to Caleb is running to the right side,
no room landon houstonon on the tackle or Columbus Grove.
(45:33):

Speaker 1 (46:50):
We get a four down, five thirty seven yard line
for the Mohawk Warriors and.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
They're going for Denfield.
Speaker 14 (46:58):
It's Cockpi cal Bears had midfield, a gutsy call for
hearing Daniel in the staff there for the Mohawk Warriors,
and it pays off.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
Matthews honagera first down at the forty nine yard line
across midfield. Believing in the players at Caleb Bish, she's
got such reliable hands, such determination Bogner was able to
find him. So two thirty five remaining until halftime, the
Mohawk Warriors want to get on the board. Trailing at
twenty one to nothing. They break the hot hold, trips
(47:37):
on the left cornerback Boner hit the garden, taps the hands,
has the snap, pakes a hand off to Kate Bish
a throw.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
That's call here by Hayman, spins away.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
From one tackler and then brought down from behind by
Kevin Barrossa at the thirty yard line. Matthews honakerra first
down may even be marking him better at the twenty nine. Yes,
they are so even the yard better than that. So
the Mohawk Warriors certainly look like they are in shape
(48:07):
to at least threaten the score here two minutes remaining,
there's plenty of time until halftime. Verse in ten from
the twenty nine yard line, Mohawk down twenty one to nothing.
The Columbus groven Is Regional the semifinal Falstorio Bogner in
the gun as the snap here takes off and runs
(48:27):
with the right side, cuts through.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
And gets tackled near the twenty eight yard line. So
maybe a gain of one there for Ben Booner.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
Blacker.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
It looks like they're not going to give him any
forward progress there, So just second and ten, just trying
student body right and no game. Hayman with a real
nice grab and he did a good job wrapping both
arms around the ball. He's not gonna leave one on
the carpet a second time.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
He's take a down in ten.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
One to nineteen remaining here until halftime, snap is back here.
Bogner has to loud the rush and then throws it
and Hayman made an effort for it incomplete near the
twenty three yard line. Kane Hayman does stop the clock
at one o four third talent and ten from the
(49:20):
twenty nine yard line. Yeah, they could use another one
of those big plays right now. They've got some big
playmakers for sure. Third and ten, twenty nine yard line,
one four to go until halftime. Trying to get twenty
one to nothing. Hayman jogs in motion, comes that quarterback,
(49:44):
has a snap in Boonelor under some pressure on the misdirection,
gives it up to Kate and Bish and tries to
get away, but there are just too many bulldogs. They
surround him and they just whistle that one dead. Blankenmeier
wrote freighter all over there to make that stop for
Columbus Grove.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
Sixty two yards for Ben Bogner via the air. He's
got another twenty nine on the ground.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Fourth and twelve thirty one yard line. Seem like this
will be a passing play. The Bugner looks over toward
his sideline twenty five seconds ago. Time out calls like
we do get a quest Federal Credit Union timeout.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Just keep it here this time.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
As we head toward halftime, of course, we'll have our
Reinsurance Agency halftime show coming up for you, and some
scores in the area will also obviously look at what's
happening with Lipsick and Devils Saint John to day. The
winner of this game, we'll take on the winner of
that game in the regional final. And so many people
(50:56):
knew coming into this thing that Columbus Grove so strong,
even when you had some injuries and some players going down,
they just have so much depth and experience. And yeah,
so far this season they have not dropped a game,
and they've got big aspirations to the Columbus Grove bull Dogs,
and understandably so.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
Yep, Ben Bogener not having a terrible ninety eight out
of twelve passes complete and sixty two yards that last
pass going for a negative yardage, but he is also
run for twenty nine yards and that includes a couple
of sacks for negative sixteen, So is rushing positive. Rushing
(51:36):
totals a little better than.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
That fourth and twelve thirty one yard line. As we
head toward halftime, Bohawk Down three scores. Bogner's got the snap,
hunts to the right side. Oh, Maze is chasing. Boger
puts up a pass here beyond and its afflected from
behind incomplete. It looked like Grant Eversoul was back there
to knock it down for Columbus Grove.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Yes, it was so.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
Turnover on down, but seventeen seconds remaining until half time.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
Bogner doing all he could to try and extend that play,
rolling out to the right, trying to buy himself some
more time. He did get the pass into vicinity, but
too many defenders. It was triple coverage by the time
the ball arrived over there. So going over towards Bish, Yeah, Bogner,
he didn't have many options there. As Kylon Mays was
(52:29):
breathing on, I'm ready to bring him down. Bilgner knew it,
so we had to get rid of the bulls. So
here we go first in ten thirty one yard line,
Columbus Grove, there's seventeen seconds left. May play a conservative,
we'll see Verazzi gets him on.
Speaker 2 (52:42):
He's got it. Yeah, you never know when he could break.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
A loose and he's just running around, brought down by
Caine Hayman and the one but Tresa he cross a
thirty five yard line.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
They'll take their final time out, So just eight seconds
left to go in the first half, twenty one to nothing.
The Bulldogs lead the Mohawk Warriors, and it's been all
Braza so far. He's got, including that last rush, another
five yards, so one hundred and sixty three yard first half.
That's pretty incredibly incredible.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
No doubt about it.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Yeah, and he just makes it look easy at times. Right,
he's so well rehearsed and he's got that type of talent.
He loves to play football.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
Ye, he's got a one yard, a three yard, and
a two yard touchdown, so he's all the scoring outside
of the extra points, so up to thirty three touchdowns
on the season via his legs.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
So just an excellent job.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
And then this, you know, back up to the backup
to the backup quarterback. He can't say enough about Kyle
Hopkins not having a super wonderful night. It does have
an interception on the night, but doing just enough with
his arm to keep things honest for the Mohawk defense.
And he's got a decent army. He's shown it. He's
(54:00):
thrown it downfield and been very close to some big plays.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Second and five thirty six yard line.
Speaker 1 (54:06):
Heading toward halftime, Cormas Grove with the ball, Hopkins under suppressed,
verseephi Lear wraps them up, It brings them down for
the sacks and we live. Sheevalier closes out the first
half with a defensive stop for the Mohawk Warriors. They're
gonna need a lot more of that, and they're gonna
need some points after the break. So far through the
(54:26):
first half, no point for the Mohawk Warriors at twenty
one for a Columbus Drove bull doll. Well, well, we'll
take a break and we'll come back. We'll get you
ready for our Read Insurance Agency halftime show. Of course,
we'll have some stats from this first half and look

half it is twenty one to nothing.
Speaker 1 (58:12):
Columbus Garove with the lead on Mohawk as a Mohawk
marching band is performing. Here have Fostoria in the direction
of Lindsay Horne and obviously the Warriors. They're warming up
inside trying to get back into the equation here. But
Mohawk had to understand that this was going to be
(58:33):
a tough game. Columbus Grove came in also expecting that
this would be a tough game. And you think about
Region twenty six. In some ways it's been upset region.
Speaker 9 (58:43):
You know.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
You think about the number five seed Eden got taken
out by the twelve seed but Comb which lost last
week to Mohawk. The three seed Gibsonburg lost in the
second round to the eleventh seed Lipsick, which previously took
out the six seed eight in the first round. Lipsick
playing in the other semi final tonight at Ottawa Gleandors
Titan Stadium, and lips Its opponent the fifteen seed DELFO
(59:08):
Saint John's, which whip the seventh seed Tiffin Cavert last
week twenty seven ZIP. So as far as that game goes,
what we see right now, Lipsig does lead Saint John's
thirteen to nothing in the second quarter. That is what
we are seeing with the online coast. The big props
(59:29):
to the Blue Jays of delto of Saint John's. You
think about twenty eight regions in the state of Ohio
for high school football, one hundred twelve teams making it
to regionals in all divisions. Those Blue Jays the lowest
seed still in the playoffs. So I want to question
how a team sub five hundred gets into the playoffs.
But it comes with those computer points. You play tough opponents,
(59:50):
you get those points, especially if you're a Division seven team.
So that's what's happened, and that playoff runt started with
this team taking out the number two seed Upper Sayota
Valley in the first round before beating Calvert last week.
So Doubel Saint John's right now five and seven again
the only fifteen seed still playing. There are two fourteen
(01:00:11):
seeds still in the playoffs, Dublin Kaufman and Region two
taking on the two seed Centerville and Wheelersburg of fourteen
seed taking on Zanesville West Muskingham in Region nineteenth. Across
Ohio forty five lower seeds one in the first round,
eleven of those lower seeds one again in the second round.
Mohawk certainly was one of the higher seeds up until tonight,
(01:00:34):
in which they are the lower seed against the number
one seed Columbus Grove. So definitely a different situation for
the Mohawk Warriors this time around. But all of us
to say, if you're Mohawk, you're realistic about the challenges, obviously,
but optimistic about the possibilities. But they got to get
some things cooking in the second half, So we'll take
a short break and we'll come back and we'll get
(01:00:57):
some more numbers four. But again at the half twenty
one to nothing, Columbus Groove leads a Mohawk so Matthew's

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
And I'll also get you some statistics here.
Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
I am.
Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
I'm the unofficial official statistics for tonight, so that is
really scary. Yeah, I know, I feel I feel bad
for everyone else's stats tonight because yeah, so lot to
keep up with. But so far, you know, there have
been some bright spots for Mohawk. Despite the twenty one
to nothing score. The Bulldogs with the lead and the
(01:06:09):
Mohawk will come out with the ball in the second half.
The Bulldogs chose to receive the opening kickoff, which is
a little unusual, but they wanted to get the ball
rolling and see if they could assert themselves right away,
which they did on their first drive, scoring and then
(01:06:30):
they've had two other drives that were scoring drives, but
one time it was a Caleb Bish interception, so that
was definitely a bright spot and that thwarted would be
drive at that time, and the Mohawk Warriors have been
able to move the ball somewhat. Ben Bogner with a
(01:06:50):
total of sixty two yards on eight of thirteen passing.
He has also carried the ball eleven times for twenty
nine yards. He has been sacked several times, so those
numbers don't really indicate the positive yardage at least for
the rushing attempts. And then Cain Hayman just with five
(01:07:10):
Caden Bish with nine yards rushing. Hayman also leads the
way receiving with thirty five yards. Unfortunately, one of those
receptions an eight yard er, he fumbled after what appeared
to be a first down ball was poked away and
that resulted in a turnover. But barely there. But when
you have Braza and you're able to get him free.
(01:07:33):
Hopkins has done just enough with his arm to keep
things honest, and really it was an excellent first quarter.
After the seventh carry, Trenton Brazas kind of asserted himself
he had a big forty four yard pickup and he
(01:07:53):
was able to get from forty three yards all the
way up to one hundred and fifty eight so from
about the eighth carry, I guess where it was a
touchdown at the end of the first drive. Quite a
big first half for anyone, even for Trenton Brazza. But
right now he's on pace to try to overtake the
all time rushing lead for his school, and that's over
(01:08:17):
fifty eight hundred total yards. So just a very impressive
back that we're getting to see tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:08:23):
Here.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Kirk Grant Eversas has a couple of yards, Trevor Baxter
has three yards, and as we mentioned, Hoskins with negative
yardage on some sacks. Bassinger had a seventeen yard reception,
and I had Grant Eversall also with a seven yard
reception and very first play the game, apparently I missed
because I don't know who caught that. So three yard
(01:08:45):
pickups for someone else, but not a ton of yards.
But Brazza has been the story here. He was a
story coming in and so far in the first half,
he's been the story. But Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Trying to hang tough.
Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
They're down twenty one, yes, but they will get the
ball to start the second half. See if they can
put something together. They were able to move the ball
fairly well between the twenties, but not able to punch
it in in that first half.
Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
That's really what it is, the Mohawk Weirs.
Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
They are trying to keep things going for the N ten,
the final win ten team remaining the NWU see, which
is what Columbus Grove belongs to, does have one other team.
And we'll take Shore a break. We'll come back. We'll
let you know how the bluffting Pirates are doing. But
at the half it is twenty one to nothing of
our game, Columbus Grove leading Mohawk As are insurance Agency.

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine. Here where's our
reading Turns Agency halftime show continues from Fastoria. The Mohawk
Warriors are trailing twenty one to nothing to the number
one seed the Columbus Grove bull Dogs and the Columbus
Grove Good as advertise representing the Northwest Conference. Also in
(01:13:10):
the NWC the Bluffing Pirates. They're still playing and at
the half Blufton with a thirty three to fifteen lead
on the Green Bears of Toledo Ottawa Hills. So yeah,
the NWC looking to have two teams get to the
regional final, one in Division seven here and also in
(01:13:31):
Division six with Bluffton, So we'll see how that all
plays out. Obviously, the Mohawk Warriors would love to break
up that party, but got the turn things around in
the second half. Not able to come up with any
points in that first half. They got closed, but just
could not break it through. Defensively, a lot of positive things,
(01:13:51):
but when you talk about a great running back like
Frendn Barbrassa, you can hope to only contain him. You're
not going to really stop him. Doesn't matter what team
it is, and that's really what it comes down to.
He's so productive out there and sometimes just glides down
the field and makes it look easy. So we know
the type of player that he is. But Columbus Grove
(01:14:13):
just an excellent football team overall, and the Buhawk Warriors
has got to hang tough.
Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
In their Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Absolutely, I believe that the line has done a fairly
good job. They were neutralizing a lot of times. But
he just keeps those legs churning and keeps going and
he's got he is very, very shifty with just being
able to make quick cuts, quick turns, and this playing
surface is absolutely ideal for him. It's an artificial surface
(01:14:40):
and you know, it's very sure footing out there. We
did have rain early today, but all that has dried off.
No puddles or anything anywhere around the track or even
in the stands, so everything has dried out here and
it's just a perfect fast track for a very fast back.
Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Right on.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
So yeah, they have the final warm up clock on,
so we know that we are one forty eight away
from getting the second half started of this contest. The
Mohawk Warriors, as you know, to Jim We're ready to
get the ball first. They want to get some points
on the board as fast as possible. But so many ways,
(01:15:28):
the Mohawk Warriors are happy that they've been able to
turn things around in the program and get to our
regional semi finally and missing the playoffs last season for
sure with a two and eight record, And yeah, just
to be able to have this type of turnaround is
really remarkable, actually unprecedented within the end ten in the
(01:15:49):
closest that you have that that would be Colonel Crawford,
which had four wins in twenty nineteen in the very
next season, eight and one route to the intent title.
Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
I was looking back.
Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Yeah, Columbus Grove did actually have a two and eight
season in twenty thirteen in the very next season, and
this was big news back then.
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
The Bulldogs improved.
Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
A nine to five wasn't enough to win the conference,
but they got hot on a playoff run made it
to the state semi finals, losing to the eventual state
champions of Maria Stein maryon Local. That was Andy Schaeffer's
third season leading Columbus Grove is now in his thirteenth
Sound like you.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):

impressive team. And I have done you know, like we said,
as advertised, and you know really as you mentioned. You know,
Mohawk has had some defensive stops. They've been able to
get a couple tackles for lost near the end of
(01:16:59):
the first half. So hopefully that's a bell weather of
things to come. We'll just have to see how the
second half unfolds. As the second half kickoff is on
the tee got to by.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
The House a University and marry in. Here we go.
Let's see what Mohawk comes up with here.
Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
Oh we can't, haym and he's able to backtrack and
get the ball and these stops shy of the twenty
yards line. Yeah, he was dancing around a little bit
after taking it off the bounce and he was tackled
by Gavin Bexter for Columbus Grove.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
All right, so we'll see Mohawk warriors an opportunity here.
They get something done.
Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
It's not intermountable with a twenty one to nothing. The challenge, though,
is just Columbus Grove is so good when they get
the ball on offense. He gotta find ways to try
to keep up with that tally.
Speaker 3 (01:17:46):
Yep, they were able to get one turnover in the
first half. See if they can come up with some
more here in the second. So second half action once again,
our score twenty one to nothing, the Bulldogs leading the
Mohawk Warriors. But Hawk starts the second half with the.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
Ball first and ten from Ohawk and Bogner takes a snap,
runs the right side, but swallow it up there Layton
Blankenmire along with Jamison Raider and David Patrick. So a
bunch of bull Dogs over there to make that play. Defensively,
b Columbus Grove second down to twelve.
Speaker 3 (01:18:25):
So tackle for loss. So second and twelve as you mentioned,
seventeen yard line on the near side.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Ben Boonder from the Guten Ben's over claps the hands
as the snapchest high goes to the far side, cot
by Caleb Bisholod's one defender, but can't get away from
them all the road. The one who wraps up and
brings him down here the twenty the yard line for.
Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
A pickup of three. If that's where they.
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
Ultimately spot the ball. We'll see what it looks like
here just a minute gump in this third quarter. Yeah,
they put it to twenty one, all right, so that'll
make it a third town and nine or mohawk down.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Twenty one to nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:19:15):
Ere early in this third quarter to Columbus Grove and
snap back here the other quarterback, Bogner Riza set it up.
Change his direction. Oh wow, there might have been pushing
the bag. No call there, and the Warriors may have
gotten away with one. That's Bogner heads to the left side.
They're the thirty yard line right on this scene for
the first right there for.
Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
That first town. Wo wow.
Speaker 3 (01:19:36):
The official was right on top of it, said bring
those chains down so they havener.
Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
That'll work.
Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
Twenty nine yard line Matthews Hontaka, first town for the Warriors.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
Thirty seven yards now thirteen carries for Bogner, and he
did a whale of a job there because he had
all kinds of problems happening in a around him. Just
scored it in between and got great positive yardage.
Speaker 1 (01:20:04):
First in ten twenty nine yard line. Two receivers of
the right quarterback Bogner. As a snap, he goes inside
to Caine Hayman, a loser defender, takes across the forty
yard line and moves to the forty five.
Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
Real nice time.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
We go yep four Gell and he had a real
nice block all the way across the field. You know,
Hayman's always going to you know, be shifty and try
and get things. And is Hayman okay? Here the officials
talking to him.
Speaker 1 (01:20:36):
So it is a Matthews hot agger, a first down
with the ball to forty six yard line, Bullhog territory,
trailing at twenty one to two. Nothing to know, nine
to go in this third quarter, still lots of time
for lots of things to happen. This would be a
statement here that they could score on this opening drive
of the third quarter. Snap his back, Bogner hands it
(01:20:59):
off off Kaden Biff and he runs up hard, taking
on tacklers, stops head to midfield his cadaan for a
four yard game.
Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Sophomore doing a fine job of this season for the Warriors.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Yeah, he's running hard, thirteen yard, just a couple of carries,
but he does a real nice job. They were blitzing
quite a bit early and he was picking up those blitzes.
Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Bogner was able to throw the ball.
Speaker 6 (01:21:26):
Well.
Speaker 3 (01:21:26):
They've since dropped back and are usually rushing no more
than five when they do blitz four down linemen, and
on occasion they'll blitz.
Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
But most of the four from midfield.
Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
Here Bogner takes a step, you have to run it
to a gang of tacklers including Austin Gender and Kylin
May's also in there. Maybe picked up a yard nonetheless,
that was it's tough to get a yard in there.
Yeah he got it though, cross midfield to the forty
nine yard line in Columbus Grove Territory.
Speaker 2 (01:22:02):
All right, So third down and five forty nine yard line.
Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
Three receivers, so left one to the right quarterback Boulger
and the gun has the snap back pedals, sets up
a screen. Kayden bish crossman field forty five yard line.
They gets sandwich there Layton Blankemire with a hard hits.
Also saw Levice Raider in there on that play. Should
have enough for the first down. And nice job by
(01:22:27):
Cain Hayman blocking out of his wide out position, you know,
twelve yards down the field. So this Mohawk team has
not given up anything. We got an officials time out.
Not sure if it's for equipment or what. Just Caden
bish coming off a little bit slow up. Now he's
going to go down.
Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
I really think his right shoulder got stung on that
play and he was his right arm was kind of
hanging limp as he was going over there. Well, let's
take a time out here, burn off some of these
timeouts that we have because this might be a couple
of minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:23:06):
Yes, we do have a quest Federal Credit Union injury
time out here at Fostyre with the Mohawk Warriors trailing

at twenty one to nothing with age seventeen.
Speaker 2 (01:24:39):

The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (01:26:10):
Age seventeen to go, third quarter, twenty one to nothing.
Columbus Grove with the lead on Mohawk Mohawk with the football,
take it down to ten forty four yard line, snap
back to Bogner pass over the middle. It is cocaine labish,
lose one defender and then ultimately brought down by Levy
Schrader with some help from Grant Eversoul when they get
enough for the Matthews Honda Acurra first down because they're
(01:26:33):
marking it out to thirty three.
Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
Sixty two yards now, total of eighteen passes and four
out of five for Ben Bogner here to start this
drive in the.
Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
Third quarter, ver sent ten thirty three yard line and
Columbus Grove Territory down those three scores, they're keeping the
Bulldog's offense off the field. Bogner with a snap heads
over to the left side, your protection there by Hitming,
but it breaks down. Kylin Mays gets over there and
able to make that play with some help from Flankameier.
(01:27:07):
But yeah, Kylin Mays, he leads this team and tackles
for loss. He is such a force down there on
that defensive line.
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
So a four yard loss. Second and fourteen In case
you're wondering, Jayden Bish has not come back, you know
when Patresi's back there trying to help protect the quarterback.
Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Second and thirteen thirty six yard lives low snap handled
there by. Bogner steps up a throw and is cut
by Fish and he gets hammered immediately by ever Soul
right at the twenty yard line. The excellent job there
by Caleb Bish to hang on to that football.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
Fifteen yard pickup for Bogner and Bish. Quite a company there.
Speaker 1 (01:27:52):
Matthew sondaker A first down to the twenty yard line.
Mohawk Warriors showing well if they are in a regional
Zimmi final, but they know they got to cap this
off with some points. Down twenty one to nothing, so
six forty two to go. In the third snap back,
Bogner heads sort the left side, gets away from Groach
(01:28:13):
and then little dump ball fan looks like, yeah, complete
to Caleb it right near the thirteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
Real nice job by O and Patreesi and Garrett Reinhart
to keep his quarterback safe. Allowed to complete that pass.
So that'll bring up second and three or four.
Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
It looks like three, all right, that'll work from the
thirteen yard line, has six oh five remaining in the
third quarter. That's Ben Bogner with a snap, takes off,
runs on the right size, we just through the middle
(01:28:52):
and keeps on finding and is able.
Speaker 2 (01:28:54):
To make it to looks like the eight yard line.
So yeah, that's enough.
Speaker 1 (01:28:59):
First some goal Matthew Sondakira, first down for the Mohawk Warriors.
Huh okay, Well they don't want to turn it over
community penalties. Just keep on matriculating. First a goal from
the nine yard line down twenty one to nothing. The
Mohawk Warriors get some points. Now back to Bogner. He
wants to take the responsibility to run it to the
(01:29:21):
right side, and Bogner takes it to the five.
Speaker 2 (01:29:26):
Blanka Meyer and there on that stop along with Colin Mays.
Speaker 3 (01:29:32):
Yeah, I really like Ben Bogner. First few games of
the season, it seemed like he was a little tentative.
Now when he wants to run, you know it, and
he just really pushes forward and just does not stop
until he's got a good positive yardage on the five.
Speaker 1 (01:29:49):
Yes, there's Ben Bogner on a run, and he picks
up a few more positive yards, a couple more at.
Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Least looks like he got to the three maybe the two.
Speaker 3 (01:30:01):
Nice yeah blocking on the offensive line, Brady Kaufman down
there doing a heck.
Speaker 1 (01:30:07):
Of a job.
Speaker 2 (01:30:09):
Leading the way absolutely all right.
Speaker 1 (01:30:13):
With four forty five, they go in the third corner,
turned a goal from the two.
Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
Caden Dish back on the field and from the guy
that's Bogner has a staff.
Speaker 2 (01:30:23):
Takes off the run right side looking for Painter and
he's in Florida touchdown.
Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
The in ten Offensive Player of the Year, Ben Pogner
is able to blast through.
Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
And the Mohawk Warriors are on the poor right side
of the offensive line. Doing a heck of a job there.
Caden Bush back into the ball game. I don't think
he's at one hundred percent, but he stood up the
person that shot the gap there. Nice job and just
enough for Bogner to cross that line.
Speaker 1 (01:30:52):
Touchdown. Brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co
op right on there for Mohawk. Yeah, it's keeping into
the game. Aden P THREEZ ready for the point after
Caleb bish On the hold snap us back, hold us down,
kick us up with the right foot, and it is
through the problem. Solder, will the tire scoreboard? The Mohawk
(01:31:15):
Warriors have some points. They've got seven by Columbus prob
at twenty one, and they'll be trying to get some
board with four thirty two to go in the third
of this regional semifinal pattern with us from Matthews Handacher gave.
Speaker 9 (01:31:26):
It a week.
Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
I'm about to take ninety five to nine at iHeartRadio.
Speaker 29 (01:31:30):

The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (01:32:33):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine twenty one to
seven Mohawks on the board betrails. Columbus Grove's about to
get the football bag as Brax and Frish prepares for
the ohiose A University at Marian kickoff for Mohawk.
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
Fox up and he lets it go with the right foot.
Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
Then at the twenty yard line print burrosa thirty thirty
five and has stopped at about the thirty seven yard line.
Go the Columbus Grove Bulldogs again, ready to show what
this offense is all about.
Speaker 3 (01:33:05):
John Stansbury making that stop for the Mohawk Special teams unit.
Real nice play stopping Brazza when he's in the open field.
That's a scary thing.
Speaker 1 (01:33:18):
Gotta be ready, absolutely all right. So for twenty six
a go in the third it is Columbus Grove with
the football lead to get twenty one to seven on
Mohawk first and ten or the thirty seven just inside
the fareside hash Kyle Wopkins. The quarterback Bensover takes a
snap and off Barrossa left side, but Eli Sheevalierda first
(01:33:40):
agreed him and he gets some help from Andy Klaus.
Nowhere to go for Barissa.
Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
Yeah, they might give him forward progress of a yard
on that one, but just a super job. Mohawk definitely
coming out the way you want to here in the
second half, and real nice scoring drive on that last one.
They took over seven minutes to score, and it's twenty
one to seven and Mohawk on the board.
Speaker 1 (01:34:07):
Second and ten thirty seven yard line for Columbus Grove.
With that two touchdown, Lee's under four to play in
the third corner. How Hopkins from the gun takes a snap,
hands off to the right side and he looks the
bustle loose starts to forty five across the eagle. After
(01:34:27):
Tondaactra first Downhart Boost down three thirty eight to go
in this third quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
Wow, So.
Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
Columbus Grove just that's what they do. They don't mess around.
No long huddle here, snap back, Hopkins swings it out.
They're driving Backster changes direction surrounded by Warriors, gets hit
and stops on the trees. Kane Haven and Caleb is
trying to say that's the ball, but no, they say
it is ruled down.
Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
It'll be second down.
Speaker 3 (01:35:02):
He wasn't just trying to say it. He threw the
ball to the official, but yes, he was down forward progress.
The whistles that had already blown before that ball came out.
Speaker 1 (01:35:15):
Second down and ten from the forty eight across midfield
for Columbus Grove leading in twenty one to seven. Snap
back to Hopkins hands and off them bronze heads to
the left side forty yard line, thirty five thirty all. No,
he just escape, He just got away, that's what he does.
Speaker 2 (01:35:35):
We do have a penalty flag, but that was for
forty eight yards.
Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
We'll see about that mohawk pointing back the way of
the bulldog. So we'll have to see what the official
says about that.
Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
Let us see. Yeah, their officials are talking. We're about
to get the call. Oh to get the defense. Forty
eight yard touchdown run little fan Pard Barras as a
grove of the leads back to three scores.
Speaker 3 (01:36:15):
Forty eight yard touchdown run over two hundred yards now
for Barraza, he's up over two hundred and twenty five
to twenty six. I believe.
Speaker 1 (01:36:28):
There you go. All right, so touchdown brought to you
by Central Health Farmers co Ops. Even here, how with
a point after eight doesn't once acond going over the
tower scoreboard, it is Columbus Grow twenty eight oh Hawks
seventh two forty two to go, third quarter of a
regional semifinal. It's high school football, Magic ninety five to
nine and a radio.

I have a bear hawf with the also University of
Mary and kickoff the trees on the return for the
Mohawk Warriors. As Mohawk trails at twenty eight to seven
two thirty eight to go in the third quarters, old
ball spotted at the thirty three yard line on that.
Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
Patreacy return first and ten Mohawk.
Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
Let's see the last drive looked good for the Warriors
and they come up with some more points on this drive.
Speaker 3 (01:38:24):
Only a minute fifty seconds on that last drive for
Barazza and company.
Speaker 2 (01:38:32):
Snap back to Bogner.
Speaker 1 (01:38:34):
He runs backward under pressure from Blackamare to pass in
complete whizzes through Cayden Bish and Caleb Bish, so they
were both over there, but Caleb got his back turned.
He was looking at the block down field. So second
down with two thirty one to go in the third
(01:38:54):
Bogner in this half.
Speaker 2 (01:38:55):
Has uh.
Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
Let's see, no, I got to redo my stats. He
had a pretty good second or a third quarter there
and he still got a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:39:10):
Of it left second and ten from the thirty three
Bogner takes a snap quick release on the inside, caught
by two of forty two yard line, close to a
first down. Yeah, exactly, closer and closer they could you
(01:39:30):
use a yard here? Two ten remaining in this third quarter,
third and one, forty two yard line. Ed Bogner has
a snap, takes off in the runs. He knows what
he needs, but he gets a wrestled back. I think
(01:39:50):
he got it though, Yeah, he's got it.
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
Given him forward progress all the way up to the
forty five Matthew Sawdak refirst down for the Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 2 (01:39:58):
Yes, it's got to keep on competing.
Speaker 1 (01:40:02):
Yeah, well under two minutes ago in this third quarter,
still lots of time. Yeah, the main thing is yeah,
I mean you've got a score, but you also got
to get that stop. Like you noted that drive for
Columbus Grove was way too short. Versid ten from the
forty five yard line, Mohawk Warriors. Bowner has a shotgun
(01:40:26):
snap pitches over the left side of Caleb bish finds
an alley, but it closes off quickly. Ayden Patrick could
Colin Mason there? We see the flags come in right
at the forty nine yard lines where the tackle was made.
Speaker 2 (01:40:39):
We'll see about the penalty pointing back against Mohawk.
Speaker 3 (01:40:48):
At least one of the three flags is against Mohawk,
and it looks like they will march it off.
Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
I think we're about to get the call right here. Hole. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:41:01):
Oh, that's kid yard penalty obviously for the mohonk Luggers.
Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:41:15):
Really, it's been very few penalties either side. Had a
couple of face masks and that hold there, but really
not much else for penalties.
Speaker 1 (01:41:28):
Verse in five yard line, Ohawk Warriors with the ball
snap his back to Ben Boger, the pass on the
far side up and deflected by Gavin fos four total
numbers Grove, So good job there for Gavin at fifty
seven seconds left in.
Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
This third quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:41:49):
Yeah, if he didn't have that hand, Kane Hayman would
have come down with it, I'm sure, and that would
have been enough for first down yardage. That was a
nice looking pass, but just an excellent defensive effort.
Speaker 1 (01:42:05):
All right, So we've got fifty seven seconds left in
this third quarter, second down and twenty from the thirty
five yard line. Mahawk with the ball down twenty eight
to seven. Snap back to Bogner right side, changes directions,
head to the left, chased by Blankenmire passes up in
the air.
Speaker 2 (01:42:18):
Let's see, the dams.
Speaker 1 (01:42:21):
Had incomplete at the thirty yard line. Kid even trying
to bring a towel very close to some contact there.
I think the officials made the right no call, but
uh pass hung up just a little too long.
Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
Bring yeah, seven six left.
Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
Here in the third quarter and a huge play right here,
third and twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:42:50):
All right, So the Mohawk Warriors three receivers to the right,
one to the left, third town and twenty from the
thirty five yard line. That's this third quarter is winding
out and Bugner with us down here, he goes it,
puts it downfield.
Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
Picked off Devin Arrozza.
Speaker 1 (01:43:06):
Oh my gosh, he's done it again, the sixth interception
of the season. Gather Verado. He comes up with the
premiere optometric group turnover for Columbus Grove. And that was
a tough one for the Mohawk Warriors for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:43:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
Basically, that's just kind of like a short punt with
no return, thrown it over to the sideline there, it's
about thirty yards down the field. So not altogether horrible,
but definitely not the way you wanted to end that drive.
You wanted to try and get at least up near
the fifty yard line to have a chance at a
fourth and short.
Speaker 2 (01:43:48):
First and ten from the forty yard line. Columbs grow
with the ball.
Speaker 1 (01:43:53):
Hopkins with a snap hands it off to Trenton Barazza
here lift side forty five midfield and it spins around
and attack a little out of bound in the forty
five yard line. Kay and Haymen able to shut him
out of bounds, but Matthew's how to acker first down
for Columbus.
Speaker 3 (01:44:09):
Grove fifteen yard pickup, and I believe with that rush
he is very near, if not eclipsing the all time
rushing record at high school.
Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:44:25):
Yeah, well that's something we got to get into, no
doubt about it. The first a ten forty five yard line. Yeah,
what a special player Trenton Barassa is. Here we go
snap back, Hopkins under pressure, lets it go near sign
On and then it is incomplete for extra I'm you're
just not able to hold onto that ball just went
between his legs after his hands got on. It does
(01:44:47):
stop the CLUTB twenty one seconds in this third quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
Check that he'll need about forty forty two more yards
I think he needed. I was thinking to forty three.
It's two eighty three that he needs to take the
all time record for Trenton Barraza. For this Bulldog all
time rushing record.
Speaker 1 (01:45:06):
You said, okay, all right, sounds good. Yeah, for their
perspective obviously, And we get to this hold on the snap.
Speaker 3 (01:45:19):
All start there was still time on the clock, so
that was about the only thing left that could happen
there with no no snap.
Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
Indeed, Oh my god, Well, guys, a little walk those
yards off here.
Speaker 2 (01:45:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
The Bulldogs, Yeah, they're intense competitors, but yeah, they keep
things positive with each other and lift each other up. Yeah,
they really enjoy representing the community and playing football. So
take it down to fifteen from midfields back Hopkins, go
right back to Trenton Barraza for forty yard line. They
were brought down by multiple Warriors and toting Haymen and
(01:45:58):
Mason him. We look for the final six seconds to
tick down in this third quarters. They are about to
spot the ball at the thirty eight yard line. It
appears I'll get to the thirty five for the first,
but that'll do it for three quarters of play to
on our Wilson Tire scoreboard, it is Columbus Grove twenty
eight Mohawk seventh.
Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
We'll be back for the fourth of this regional semi.

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week,
we bring.
Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
You back to Faustoria fourth quarter a time. It's twenty
eight to seven Columbus Groove with the lead and the bowl.
This time they went with a fake to Trenton Barroso
giving up to grand Eversoul stopped at the forty yard line.
So it does set up a fourth down and five
four Columbus Grove and there they are going for it
(01:48:00):
right the quarterback he's gotted Kyle Hopkins to the right side,
passes up Ben and his cotton by Basigar Breedy baser
across the thirty. It a Peers Matthew's pondaker first town
for Columbus Crove.
Speaker 3 (01:48:17):
Eleven yard pick up on that play. And there really
haven't been a ton of positive passing plays for Kyle
Hopkins tonight. So, uh, you know, if you wanted to
take away one thing, it's pretty tough to take away Brazza,
but they've done a pretty decent job taken away the
pass that one squirt it through for a first down.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
First and ten from the twenty nine yard line.
Speaker 1 (01:48:41):
In Mohawk territory, Columbus Grove with that twenty eight to
seven lead. First been another fourth quarter and snap us
back here to Hopkins always got all day and now
so pressure comes from Rathburn, Hopkins has to bounce to
the outside and then take it out of bound by
Garrett Reinhart and you have to the flights come out
and that does appear meant to be at the call.
Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
Yeah, Unfortunately, I think they're going to get him for
a fifteen yarder because he had one hand kind of
wrap there and then he reached up with the other,
so very uh. They're discussing it there. I'm quite honestly, Kirk.
It wouldn't surprise me if they removed him from the
Game's unfortunate to see. Yep, they will give him the
(01:49:31):
fifteen yarder.
Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
And he does get to stay in the game. That's
very fortunate that I think for Mohawks there.
Speaker 3 (01:49:39):
And I just hate to see that because Garrett it's
not the not the kind of individual that he is.
Speaker 2 (01:49:48):
Grove from the Mohawks.
Speaker 1 (01:49:50):
Yeahs, ball is at the sixteen yard line. Your side
has first and ten before Columbus Grove up twenty eight
to seven. This is the minted COMPI in the fourth pistol.
Look here Hopkins hands off Barroso written wrapped up there
by Eli Chevalier stopped right at the fifteen in of one.
Speaker 3 (01:50:11):
Patrezi also helping out on that tackle. Real nice job
corraling top rusher. You just can't have enough adjectives. You
can't give enough statistics. I mean in the ten game
season regular season, he was almost one thousand yards ahead
of the next back.
Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
And that's how good he is. Absolutely, yeah, he is
definitely one of the best.
Speaker 1 (01:50:34):
So we get a second down at eight front the
fifteen yard line, back to Hopkins, hands off Barrossa. Oh,
he pont a ally to the right side and he's
right into the end zone for a touchdown the fifteen
yarder Perritt Parrosso at the Columbus Grove Bulldogs, showing that
determination that they want to get back to the regional finals.
(01:50:56):
Touchdown brought to you by the.

them all going, and you know rightly they should.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
Their team's doing well.
Speaker 1 (01:51:20):
They come with the point after four Columbus Grove, so yes.

Speaker 1 (01:52:43):
You're haf with Thatsu Marion kickoff. Caleb Bush on the
return getting into the twenty nine yard line for the
Mohawk Warriors, now trailing at thirty five to seven to
the Colubus Grove Bulldogs. Actter fifteen yard just down run
from Rosa. He has been sentational career first and ten
(01:53:15):
from the twenty nine yard line, snap back to Bogner
heads the left and goes through the middle and makes
the positive game there the thirty five yard line and
in Houston and there on the tackle along with Austin Gander.
Speaker 3 (01:53:40):
Ye, Bogner's been a workhorse here tonight, Kirk. I mean
he's passing the ball over twenty times and rushing the ball.
That was his twentieth carry right there. So yeah, that's
an awful lot of plays from scrimmage.
Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
Yeah, sure is. He's been putting in that word, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (01:53:57):
To get a second down to four from the thirty
five yard yard line, and Bogner has a snap, rolls
to the right under suppressure from Trader getting get to him.
Bogner releases the ball on time downfield to Woodland and yes,
he's got the catch here the forty five yard line.
The official was right there on that sideline and said,
yes he hasn't. Matthews Honaker a first down for the
(01:54:19):
Mohawk Warriors. Drew Woodland's been quiet in this contest, but
it's always good for the Mohawk Warriors when he gets involved.
Speaker 3 (01:54:28):
One hundred and twenty two yards now for Bogner via
the arm adds another fifty four with the rush first.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Top forty four yard line.
Speaker 1 (01:54:37):
Yeah, exactly, snap back Bogner, quick release over the middle.
Cock Caine, Hayman and Jamas and Raider the first to
hit him and then got some help from his mates.
Jeffen Barrassa. A lot of respects shown in his game
between Gefn Barassa and Kane Hayman.
Speaker 3 (01:54:57):
They've been peddling all time, Yeah, Hayman hasn't back down
at all, and you know he was coming off definitely
being banged up from the week before. So just a
heck of an effort for Hayman.
Speaker 1 (01:55:12):
Yeah, he missed the fourth quarter of the wind versus Macomb,
that's true, but yes, so good that he is back
out there. So second down to nine from the forty
three yard line, the Columbus Grove Territory Mohawks snap back
boat nerve pass high cot there, Caleb bish across the
forty yard line, breaks one tackle but then can't get
away from the mall grand Eversol. I think it was
(01:55:34):
the one who was able to finish that one off
of the thirty nine yard line. As we are at
the eight minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:55:45):
Mark of this fourth quarter. Yeah, so Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 1 (01:55:54):
Yeah, as much as anything, going to make sure you
trying to get some more points on the board if
you can.
Speaker 2 (01:56:00):
This drive is taking some time though.
Speaker 1 (01:56:03):
The bugner from the gun has a snap fakes Bruns
right side the RiPP back Austin Gander. I'll see him
in there along with some other Bulldogs. It's seven twenty
six to go. They're at the thirty eighty yard line.
(01:56:35):
All right, God, they get a first here. Obviously if
you're Mohawk.
Speaker 2 (01:56:38):
Four down and four.
Speaker 1 (01:56:42):
From the guns, Bugner, he's got Caden Bitsh right beside him.
Logner with the snap, looks to the left, quick release
caught by Caine Hayman, slips through them, gets across the.
Speaker 2 (01:56:51):
Thirty yard line.
Speaker 1 (01:56:52):
Yes, indeed, Matthews Honaker first town for the Mohawk Warriors,
right at the twenty nine yard line, six forty three
to go on the fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:57:10):
Over out of the hills.
Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
Mohawk trying to put together drive here.
Speaker 1 (01:57:20):
Yeah, I want to finish off the season, right, if
this is going to be the last game, go out
the right way, first down in ten, twenty nine yard line.
Then Bogner with a snap, heads towards the right side,
bounces and gets surrounded by multiple Bulldogs.
Speaker 3 (01:57:37):
Maybe forward progress for a yard tackle. Yeah, now right
back to up the line of scrimmage.
Speaker 1 (01:57:48):
Yeah, that's what it looks like. Yeah, a little bit
further ahead under six to play. Yeah, second down, snap
back here, Bogner. Oh, pressure is coming here from Gander,
(01:58:09):
but he's able to get away. He uses a block
and then chased out about jumped down about jameson Raider
over there.
Speaker 2 (01:58:18):
But five and a half to go in this fourth quarter, Well,
just keep on working.
Speaker 3 (01:58:25):
Yep, picks up five more yards. I has sixty yards
on his legs, and I revised my stats. He's up
to one hundred and twenty eight yards passing. There you go,
all right, somehow I went backwards on stats, and I
don't know how that happened. In the third quarter, third
(01:58:45):
and five, twenty four yard line, all right, has been
Bogner has it fourth side, yep, coming back and making
the catches Hatman here the fourteen yard line, yep.
Speaker 2 (01:58:59):
Definitely first down, yardage.
Speaker 9 (01:59:05):
To go.
Speaker 1 (01:59:09):
First third star.
Speaker 2 (01:59:16):
Thirteen thirteen.
Speaker 1 (01:59:20):
Oh okay, you heard that announcement, perhaps from a BA announcer.
Yet devil sat John's coming back to tie that game
with Lipsick. That'll be the opponent of the winner of
this game. Here, snap it.
Speaker 2 (01:59:31):
Back to Bogner.
Speaker 1 (01:59:34):
Maneuvers to the right side, and here he goes tux
it away and then I s not a bounce by
Levice reader here the uh ten It appears in the
inside and let's see your name market maybe the eight
yard line before fifty to go.
Speaker 3 (01:59:57):
Now they put him down at the eighth, so call it.
Second and four.
Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
All right, that's what we'll do on the eight.
Speaker 1 (02:00:10):
We'll see that second or fourth flake as a buggner
from the gun has a snap ends off to Caden
Bishes time.
Speaker 7 (02:00:16):
Why breath through?
Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
How about this?
Speaker 1 (02:00:18):
They were not expecting Cayden to get the ball, but
he did and Caten Bitch with anight yard touchdown for
the Mohawk Warriors.
Speaker 3 (02:00:26):
Tell you what, just shows a lot of heart out there,
Caden Bish. I mean he got absolutely rocked and popped
about halfway through this quarter. I was surprised to actually
see him come back out and now here he is
going in for the touchdown. There's just no quitting this
Mohawk team. I love it.
Speaker 1 (02:00:42):
Touchdown brought to you by the Central Hillo Farmers co Op.
Yes we know Caden Bish a tough guy. As the
intent championship in football obviously, but also went wrestling with
the team championship and also individual championship. Did so as
a freshman in February. So yeah, his star is rising.
So as we get the extra point devil, did they
(02:01:03):
whistle up before the kick one of one? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:01:05):
They sure did. They stopped that one. Goodness, Yeah, we're
gonna have to kick it again. Or they could go
for two. They're gonna kick it.
Speaker 1 (02:01:21):
Absolutely, Yeah, they got some options be yeah, they do
tryst Ayden Patteresa can get it done here.
Speaker 3 (02:01:32):
Fifteen out of seventeen. Thought he had uh sixteen and
seventeen out of.
Speaker 2 (02:01:39):
Nineteen for the night.
Speaker 3 (02:01:40):
But they will have to redo this one.
Speaker 2 (02:01:42):
So kicking games certainly a very important.
Speaker 3 (02:01:48):
Unusual for a team to have three different people that
have kicked field.
Speaker 1 (02:01:51):
Let's get one blocked. Yeah, there you go to the
club's girls, faithful, happy with that. On a guitar scoreboard,
it's thirty five to thirty Columbus Pro with the lead
on Bohok four forty four to go in the fourth
of this regional semifinal. This is our Matthews Hovacurate Game

Swid Boy, said Marian Matthews Hondaacurate dot Com, Matthews hold
Acura dot Com.
Speaker 7 (02:03:05):
That's Matthews with one.
Speaker 11 (02:03:06):
Team, so much more in one location.
Speaker 9 (02:03:10):
Buyers the Matthews Honda Acura high School Game of the Week.
Speaker 1 (02:03:16):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine mohawk. Yeah, they're
trying to have an on site kick, but obviously did
not go the required distance.
Speaker 2 (02:03:31):
So stopped. Uh yeah, inside their own side of the field.
Speaker 1 (02:03:38):
So score is thirty five to thirteen in favor of
Columbus grow before forty four to go in this contest,
the Bulldogs appeared to be on their way to the
regional final take on either Lipsick or Delfo Saint John's.
Last we heard that game tied at thirteen. Over there
(02:04:02):
at Ottawa Glendor's Titan Stadium. All right, first and ten
forty eight the yard line. Columbus Groove with the ball,
is trying to finish off this game. Snap back here
and they go to the freshman quarterback, Alex Meyer. He's
one of those five quarterbacks. And that's the thing. I mean,
(02:04:23):
Kyle Hopkins, you know he as we knowed, he wasn't
the starting quarterback. It was Landed Best and we saw
last year. Unfortunately, he got hurt and then they went
to Trenton Barazza, but understandably they wanted him to go
back to his normal running back position. Then Riley Solder
he was the quarterback. He unfortunately got hurt. Then it
went to Alex Meyer, who's out there right now, and
(02:04:45):
then they just made a decision to go with a
veteran player in Hopkins. But Meyer, he's got lots of
potential in his own right, the youngster. So here we go,
second down and ten, forty eight yard line. He's got
touchdown passes on this season. He just collects it and
runs it himself. Tackled by Kane Hayman at the forty
(02:05:08):
five yard line. Pick up a three four Meyer. He's
Mohawk Warriors with lots of seniors, eleven seniors working hard
throughout their careers. He had most of them four year
players for the Mohawk Warriors. Remember in Kane Hayman as
a freshman. Yeah, yeah, he was starting and ran into
(02:05:29):
some injury challenges. Yeah, for him to be able to
get back out there and show what he's about really
really cool. Yeah, they'll certainly treasure those memories of getting
here to a regional semi final. But the Columbus Grove
just that team. They're down in seven. They go on
(02:05:51):
the ground here and this time it is wine Coop
rinting Wine Coop. It get some Matthews Honda Akira. First
down to the thirty seven Yep, the Wine Coop by
he averages three and a half yards of carry wearing
(02:06:14):
that number ten number last year, remember, belonged to Bo Burnesser,
who was a fantastic senior for Columbus Grove. Now it's
a Wine Coops turned the sophomore look good right there.
So first down and ten, thirty eight yard line ire,
(02:06:35):
the quarterback has a snap, runs into the right side,
immediately hit by Elias Migaalnez for the Mohawk Warriors at
the thirty five yard high, two twenty remaining.
Speaker 2 (02:06:50):
In his fourth quarter.
Speaker 3 (02:06:50):
Yeah, just trying to run out the clock dogs and
got the entire second unit out there. It's all fresh uniforms,
fresh helmets, everything shiny. No scars on him at first
unit though, what a job they did. Won't be a
record setting night tonight for Trenton Barrazza. He is out
(02:07:12):
of the game for the night. He was about twenty
yard shy of his high school's all time rushing record,
so congratulations to him. Hopefully he's able to pick that
up in next week's ball game.
Speaker 1 (02:07:25):
Second down at seven from the thirty five yard line,
just going back to the ground. Yeah, and there's no
doubt that yeah, Trenton Barassa is going to become the
all time rushler for Columbus Grove or for a few
more days, Blaine mag.
Speaker 2 (02:07:41):
Does hold on to that top spot.
Speaker 1 (02:07:43):
But Barazza, I mean we talked to him last year
and yeah, he's someone who appreciates his teammates and certainly
enjoys playing the game of football. And yeah, some college
will be really thrilled if he decides to play for them,
but again that announcement has not been made. So third
(02:08:04):
down and five from the thirty three the yard line,
snap back to Alex Meyer. He was just trying to
