Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, high school basketball manching ninety five to nine.
Here in Sycamore, Mohawk Warriors getting ready to host the
Sinekes Tigers for this regular season finale. Just a fantastic
crowd is out here for this game. We love it
as the cheerleaders. Both of the schools have their cheerleaders

(00:21):
out there trying to get the crowd working. Now, the
Mohawk cheerleaders, they take a seat and give way for
the Citic East cheerleaders to do their thing.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
We are opposite the scores desk. Yes, we've got.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
The cheerleaders are facing us to perform, so always do
a great job. All right, So what I'd like to
give you as our featured matchup for this game the
point guards Boomer Cleveland of Mohawk and Luke Mason of
Seneca East. So we know that Mason is the top
scorer for the Tigers averaging sixteen points per game. Cleveland
the top scorer for the Warriors averaging fifteen point seven.

(00:58):
But not only do they score, they also set up
their teammates. Luke Mason averages four point seven assists for
Sennica East and Boomer Cleveland averages four point six assists
from Mohawk.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And by the way, both Luke Mason and.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Boomer Cleveland have represented their schools in cross country for
multiple seasons, and the cross country head coaches are their dads,
Doug Mason and Seneca East Rock Cleveland here at Mohawk.
And by the way, those dads both know basketball as well.
They just coached against each other in the JV game
and JV did go in favor of Mohawk by the way,

(01:36):
fifty seven to twenty eight. So yes, they're both going
to remain on the benches to assist the varsity head coaches,
Paul Dunn for the Warriors, Anthony Langhurst for the Tiger.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Soap.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I tell you this matchup between Luke Mason and Boomer
Cleveland intriguing on multiple levels, and I tell you the
play of each will be key in the outcome of
this game, really no doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And they're also a lot of fun to walk.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yes, indeed, all right time now for our Regiina at
Realty Keys to the K for Mohawk. We're gonna go
with fast start, apply pressure early, attempt to knock the
Tigers out in the first half if possible. This is
something that's worked for Mohawk a lot this season. The
Warriors are the highest scoring team in the inten averaging

(02:24):
sixty three points per contest, and they're not inclined to
just sort of ease their way into a game, if
you know what I mean. And the six foot seven
Connor Flow, the top rebounder and shot blocker in the intent,
tends to use those skills to ignite fast break opportunities
for the Warriors. Now key for Seneca East, we're going

(02:46):
with offensive flow. The Tigers cannot afford to be lax
on any possessions. Their best bet is to utilize that
strong ball movement and spacing. Holding the ball with any
one player just gonna play right into the hands of
the Warriors. So Sinekeese has going to benefit from consistent
offensive actions to create those shop shop opportunities for Luke

(03:09):
Mason and also the team's number two score at lucas
a boardner.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
So there you go.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
How Reginavent Realty keys to the game? Up next, we'll
have your Pillar Credit Union starting lineups as we get
ready for Sindica East at Mohawk. It's High School Basketball
Magic ninety five to nine and iHeartRadio all right, just
about four minutes away from the National Anthem here in
Sycamore and Mihawk Warriors hosting the Seneca East Tigers. All right, now,

(03:39):
we'll get you our Pillar Credit Union starting lineups. First four,
the visiting Seneca East Tigers. They go with five foot
ten senior Taylor Young, six foot two senior Breiler Beemer,
six fo nine junior Luke Mason, the leader in multiple
categories for this team. Six foot one senior Lucas bort Had,

(04:00):
six foot three senior justin the writer. As for the
Mohawk Warriors, they start six foot senior Kane Hayman, five
foot ten senior Ben Pogner, six foot senior Boomer Cleveland,
six foot senior Hunter Haynes, six foot seven senior Connor Fluve.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
So ten seniors on this team. There's really only one non.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Senior who suits up for Mohawk, and that is Andon Klaus,
five ten sophomore gets in occasionally, and yeah, this winds
up being a route in favor of Mohawk. Then we
could see Klaus. Statistically, we know that the Mohawk Warriors

(04:45):
are ahead in the multiple areas for the Cinaghese Tigers.
But when you're talking about a varsity basketball game, a
rivalry game.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
You just.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Have to show up and play your best. There's no
guarantees out there. You gotta know what it's all about.
And that's one of the things is why the Mohawk
Warriors have had so much success is that they take
all of their competition seriously. They know where they're supposed
to be, know what they're supposed to do, and get
Head coach Paul Dunnis talked about that. Yeah, that is

(05:17):
an advantage when you've gotten veteran players. You could certainly
accelerate a love of learning because they've been through so
much already. And this could be a special postseason for
the Warriors. After this game, because they are such a
high seed, they will be hosting a playoff game, a

(05:37):
tournament game, I should say, next week.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
So we'll take one more break and we'll come back.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
We'll have a national anthem and get ready to get
this thing going. All right, So it is Mohawk hostings
and the Geese for Matthew Hondager Boys High School Basketball
Game of the Week, How Magic ninety five nine and iHeartRadio.

(06:11):
All right, there we go, DA's anthem, Casey's Tigers. Not
the first time she is slinging here for the crowd.
That's such a beautiful job. And here we are getting
ready for this contest between the Mohawk Warriors and the
Synegese Tigers. Synegze. This is a team with a lot

(06:32):
of talent and experience. So with Mohawk is not focused,
they could be right for an upset. But the thing
is the Mohawk Warriors every single game this season very focused.
Uh yeah, that's how coach done once thing. So that's

(06:54):
how it's got to be. Bottom live, bottom line, all right.
So we're just gonna go ahead and set the table
for you. It is the fourteenth February twenty twenty five.
We are live for our some Friday night hoops hont
Magic ninety five nine between the hometown Mohawk Warriors and
the visiting Seneca's Tigers. This broadcast of varsity boys regular

(07:19):
season basketball presented by Matthews Honda Acura Listening Giese Tigers
have arrived from Attaca, Seneca County with a record of
fourteen and seven, coming off a loss on Friday of
last week, Colonel Crawford at Colonel Crawford fifty eight to
twenty six. That was the team's lowest scoring game of
the season, so we're going to want to turn that around.

(07:40):
The Mohawk Warriors earning this contest on our home Florence
Sycamore Wine Dot County with a record of seventeen and two.
Their most recent game was also versus Colonel Crawford, an
overtime loss this past Wednesday. Here in this gym six
to fifty six. Both teams are members of the Northern
ten Athletic Conference and both were a part of the
unpresident and four way tie for last year's in ten Crown.

(08:01):
This year, the out right title belongs to Colonel Crawford
by virtue of Wednesday Night's win here at Mohawk. Mohawk
is the second place team. Seneca East is fourth behind
third place Supper San Dusky. Dead coach for Sindica East
is Anthony Langhurst in his fourth season and assisted by
Doug Mason. The hc for Mohawk is Paul Dunn in

(08:23):
his ninth season, assistant by Brock Cleveland, Rick Eckleberry, Mike Haynes,
Troy Keller, and Ryan McLay. This is the second of
two regular season scheduled meetings in the first Mohawk one
at Sinica East sixty four to forty five. The Seneica
East players are the rest of their road black uniforms

(08:43):
with Warrens block letters, and the Mohawk players are resting
their home whites with red scripted letters bordered in black.
We'll let you listen in to Bruce had On many
announcements of the Mohawks.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Houners A sixteen senior n three or.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
At ark if I like the singer number four I
had boom a r if I petendant senior number nine,
A Parker, a six months senior ut ten punter lay

(09:28):
at most A six one senior's funny God, hear it
right hard and post I sor and I was talking
to you asday and the post six one seventeen senior

(09:49):
number thirty two.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
You go on melts the ball left.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
The people know the Mohawk Warriors of these outstanding seniors.
Hoping to put on a show for these fans against
Seneca East. Our game officials Curton Lieber and Kalenko and
Doug Disloaf. There opening tip brought to you by the

(10:24):
ohause A University and Marion between Justin Ryder of Seneca
East and counter flood of Mohawk. And it is mister
Kolenko in the middle tosses the ball up with his
right hand tip by Flood and we are underway Mohawk
with the ball left to right from our perspective. From
opposite of this corps task and any number of warriors
can get off to a hot start. So the Tigers

(10:45):
they better be ready for the d It's Boomer Cleveland
who has an up high down low in the flood
catches it in traffic and good defense by Biemer. Been
out to Boomer for three Wow, Boomer Cleveland, no problem,
and give the a to Cutter Flood. It's three to
nothing in favor of a Mohawk. That's how they do it.

(11:07):
So here we go with the Sinekese Tigers. First possession
for the team from Mannica does Beam ran a crossover
spin moves right on the lane, stopped by Hayman a
Pine a rider at the top of the key, hands
off to Mason the leading score. Help defense come from Flood.
Double come from Cleveland out to the right side to

(11:28):
Cordner and left side too young. He dribbles left side,
crosses over a few times from the him to the line,
cut up by Hanes out to righter for three and
adds off the lid and the rebound Hayman mohawk ball
left to right. Second possession for the Warriors, leading it
three to nothing, righted by Young. Hayman right into the body,
stops out to the right side for Bogner, out to Haynes.

(11:51):
Back to the right side Cleveland down low the flood,
he attracts a lot of attention. He's able to dribble
it up high since it in right on the lane
to Haines. It's Mason on him, and backup high to
Boomer Cleveland so far the only scorer in this game.
And then half into this contest, Haynes tried to lomp
it down low to Haman and off his right hand

(12:11):
and out of bounce at the baseline, so in an
aggressive type plane there for Haynes, but unable to make
that connection. That's the first turn off of this game.
Goes to mohawk so Sydnekeay East basketball with Taylor Young
dribbling into the front courd goes low with the dribble
left side to Mason top of a key. Beamer finds

(12:32):
a cut of Writer with the layup, and he was
able to get right past Flood. So nicely done for
the Tigers. Justin Writer the first scorer for Cynegeze. It
is three to two Mohawk with the lead and the
ball left to right with Hayman off a hesitation cut
off by Beamer goes to the other direction high Haynes three.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Wow, killing up Hunter Haynes.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
He is the leader in the N ten with threes
right there, his fifty ninth three of the season. So
it is six to two Mohawk right back for Senneicay
East righter with it at the free throw line, cup
high to Bordener.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
He started off the season as a leading scorer.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
He contracted a lot of attention, and then it became
Mason Beamer back to the basket, gains Bogner right side,
too young, given room here back to Beamer to the
free throw line into the lane, changes erection step through
left head too strong and a week's side rebound Cleveland

(13:36):
back for the Mohawk Warriors and leading it six to two.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
A couple of threes made by Cleveland Ann Haines.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
Now you pin to Flood who puts it in off
the window so Connor Flood with the deuce makes it
eight to two. Mohawk back to Seneicay East, said Dwiler Beamer.
He is a speedy athlete. He's shown that on the
football field as well with the Warriors. Now how to
contain him. Beaver with a turnaround in the lane in

(14:05):
and out and Floods able to save the rebound. Oh,
he lost it for a moment, then able to save
it from the baseline. So Mohawk has it leading eight
to two. Cleveland high left side closely by Mason. That
was our featured matchup. On a switch Beaver on him
to the top. Two Hunter Haynes. He dribbles once, passes
out and now the three Hayman off the front iron

(14:28):
tapped up by Bowdener winds up going to the other
direction with Bordener Lucas crossover right hand takes it inside.
He is athletic and fouled on the way up as Bordener.
He's all ready to shoot too, so Caine Hayman with
the foul. So Sineca East calls for the thirty second

(14:52):
quest Federal Credit Union timeout, So we'll take the break.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
The Matthews Honda hak you'r a heist school game of
the week.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
As we bring you back a couple of free throws
made for Lucas Bordener for Senegeese after he was fouled
by Hayman.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
So the score is eight to four in favor of
Mohawk and.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
The Warriors almost losing the ball and is going out abounds,
and yes it is Sinegeese ball.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Yes, so yeah, things just sort of got away from
him right there.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
So here we go sineg East on the inbound to
Beamer at the left foul line, extended, hands it off
Mason three the quarter and connects. Lucas makeson. Wow, he
is such a talented player. We've seen him since his
freshman year. Here he is a junior. Hits the three,
pulls it the east within one, eight to seven, three Haynes,

(15:47):
that's a second. He's up to sixty threes on the
season for the most in the end ten he's got
two tonight.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
It's eleven to seven of Mohawk.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Back to Sinekeze. Beemer loses the handle of it winds
up being a flood steel. It's a mohawk with the
basketball and heads out of bounds at the who left
side line, so we get a substitution. Caleb bish Is
onto the floor for Mohawk to replace Ben pond Her.

(16:23):
So the Warriors with the ball leading it to eleven
two seven, three minutes, two seconds remaining in the first quarter.
Hayman breaking down to the fender from the right wing
pull up score on the mid ray Caine Hayman, so
that's his first hoop. He makes it thirteen to seven.
Mohawk right back for Senegay east of Luke Mason, who

(16:46):
scored on a three on the previous trip Hy dribble
right side to the Ryder takes it side, all deflected
there by Cleveland that winds up with Mason Den the
sub blog Pie, the intense shop blocking leader Connor Flood
just three a game. He's got his first right there,
Cinegeese ball down thirteen to seven, two thirty three to go.

(17:07):
In the first in bound Mason right side. Beamer looks
to go baseline, takes it that Bush cut off in
the lane up. Pie the border of A jets down
the dribble right side and stops.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, don't think he's dribble.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Live's got to pass out if it needs some help
and pat picked off Flood up.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
To the races.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Listen, if he sits it down, he does clolds it
down with two heads, where as he was able to.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Outrun Justin Writer. Give Writer credit.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
He wasn't afraid to become a poster and anybody taking
photos over there, we'll like to see that image later.
Thirteen to seven mohawk Beamer at the free throw line
up to Writer three oh and right in the face
of Flood. So h the dunk was memorable, but that

(17:57):
shot counted for more points for Justin Ryder, hessenicases within three.
Mohawk leads at thirteen to ten with one thirty five
to go in the first Flood catches at the right
arc left side. Here Haynes three. It's his third of
the first quarter. Hunter Haynes, Oh, is he a spectacular shooter.

(18:19):
He's got half of the mohawk tally. It's eighteen to
ten Warriors. Bardner open for three right side and connects.

(18:39):
It's eighteen to thirteen and we get a shot that
triples it.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Hayes again. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Four threes in the first quarter for Hunter Haynes twenty
one to thirteen Mohawk, Well, he's starting to just get ridiculous,
So we had to steal here for Caleb bish They're
off to the races. All the Tigers do get back
passes out at this time Haynes to Bish high right
zy Cleveland three front hour known offensive rebound. Hayman loses

(19:09):
him but winds up with Cleveland and Hayes umber three.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
He's got pie fifteen first quarter points for Hunter Haynes.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
It's twenty four to thirteen mohawk, absolutely remarkable. So Mason
with the dribble up high looking at take it at
Cleveland and crossover step back, step through long two dribbles
off rebound floods and the launch head who's close three

(19:45):
corners of the way, hit the backboard in Cleveland all right. Well,
at the end of one, it's all mohawk. Five threes
for Hunter Haynes and her Wilson Tires scoreboard, it's mohawk
twenty four Syndica East thirteen back sixty. For the start
of the second quarter, it's a Matthews Hodaker Boys Hosco
Basketball Game of the Week and Matthew ninety five nine
and iHeartRadio High School Basketball Magic ninety five to nine

(20:07):
second quarter time mohawk with a twenty four to thirteen
lead on Seneca East Psinic East.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Just a misfire there.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
So right back to the Warriors, Flood right side Haynes.
Let's to drive in a little runner and that pops
loose and Bordner deflects it out to Cleveland, unfortunately for him.
So Warriors do keep possession of the ball. We're getting
around the Preimner down. No Flood, Oh nice blood coming
a foul called on Boardner Wow, meeting Flood at the summit.

(20:46):
But the foul called on Lucas Bordner. So it does
send connor Flood to the free throw line, and the
first free throw goes for connor Flood. He's up to
five points. Twenty five to thirteen is the count. Second

(21:08):
free throw they get twenty six to thirteen. Two successful
free throws for Connor Flood, and you're shooting at sixty
three percent from the line on the season. So Bordner
with the ball for the Tigers training get twenty six
to thirteen. Has a benning gone by. In the second quarter,

(21:28):
Rider at the free throw line sends it to Young
at the corner back the writer fakes onto three. He
hit one in the first quarter, Mordner has it between
the rings, pulls back with the dripple corn is by
Hayman right side Beamer. Foulne extended bitches on him. Beamer
one on one pull up in the lane and he

(21:48):
goes through for Brailer Beamer. So that's the first bucket
for Beamer X to score twenty six to fifteen. So
Tigers within eleven on that score. Back to the Mohawk
Warriors and Boomer Cleveland holds tomal Boffa's head, takes it
down low in the flood and puts it up off
the window. When he called for the travel we made

(22:09):
the shot it according to the veteran official Win Klenko,
he traveled first. So Aidan Zach making his first appearance
for Seneca. He's tonight five ten senior. He replaces Justin
Ryder and it is Sinnekey's with the basketball down twenty

(22:30):
six to fifteen. And when we get a tie up
there as Dish was able to get his hands in
there on that dribble drive by Mason. So with the possession,
naire row ball does co to Mohawk Warriors ball left
to right, leading it twenty six to fifteen. Here's a
couple of minutes in two the second quarter oh in

(22:53):
a nice fine Hayes back to two Hayman. So Hayman
with a layup Haynes with the assist. Four points for
Caine Hayman. It's twenty eight to fifteen. A mohawk right
back for the Tigers the right side. So we've got
Kayden Miller onto the floor for the Tigers along with

(23:15):
Aiden Zax. With a couple of substitutions they are oh
Beamer falls down with the ball and grabbed by Flood,
but then tapped out to Mason and Cineges keeps left
side border on a baseline drive hangs up in the
here arts block by Flood his second block mohawk ball
left the right, Hayes in a hurry the right side.
Quarter three Cleveland no, and the ball loose winds up

(23:38):
with Hayman. So Mohawky's possession of the ball pass inflected
out but might have either gone out of bounds or
was fouled out of bounds.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Who they are calling a push.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
So Byler Beemer picking up the personal four Senega east
so Beemer gets replaced by a fellow starter in Taylor Young.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
So his break is three. Beemer get a breather for
coach o Langhurst on then on the eve he bound here.
You try to.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Steel there and get Cleveland gets the ball right back
and he's fouled all the way up. So boomber Cleveland
ready to go to the free throw live for the
Mohawk Warriors. Leading at twenty eight to fifteen with five
oh four to go in this second quarter. First free

(24:27):
throw that is good for Cleveland. That's one thing that
the Warriors want to do is improve the free throw shooting.
But the second one does not go. They shoot as
a team sixty six percent of that second free throw
off the march the other way Boardner three no, off
of the rebound. Mason get up to zach Oh he

(24:52):
loses the ball diving for it. Here Cleveland's able to
come with the steal.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Ahead two Haynes hangs.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
In the air, missus on the shot, lifted the bucket
off the window and coming the other way.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's Bordner. He losing a fitter oh block for be
hard by Flood. Where did he come from? Third block
for Cutter Flood. There's no way that Bordner saw him
lip side three Hates.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, three number six, pretty intense leader in this category.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Hunter Hanes, he's got eighteen points.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
They're back to work for this indegeese Tiger's trailing at
thirty two to fifteen and flood with a steal, his
second steal. It is all Mohawk Warriors right now in
to the four minutes mark of the second quarter of Hanes,
another three, just keeps cut checking them on the wall.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
He finally misses a three on time. It just sort
of rushed against the net and you're on the drive
here on left side.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
That one doesn't go for Caden Miller and rebound for
Caleb Bish for the Mohawk Warriors. Jogs up left to
right Gohugley to get thirty two to fifteen, three thirty
five to go until halftime. Cleveland underneath hangs to the
air and pass picked off by Zack. Yeah, that's always
a difficulty no matter who you are. You jump in
the air to pass the ball. Oh, exactly, the nice

(26:19):
pass hiding to Kadan Miller for the layup. So some
of this, so we get a thirty second christ Field
Credit Union time out called by Sennecy East trailing at
thirty two to seventeen.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
As we are getting.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Close to halftime, we set the half we'll have some
stats from the first half of this game. We're also
gonna look at tournament matchups because uh yeah, this is
the final regular season game the tournament I'll be upon us.
Matchups have already been decided, so we'll break that down

(26:58):
for you coming up for Insurance Agency halftime show. All right,
so how the time out. Mohawk has Cleveland Haynes, Bogner, Hayman,

(27:18):
and Garrett Reinhardt. He has checked in, so Mohawk with
the thirty two seventeen to lead, three thirteen to go
until halftime.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Oh, we get a whistle up pie. Oh, and then
they call the offensive fowl, which will turn things over
for the Mohawk Warriors. So Garrett Reinhart called for the foul.
Appears to be moving screen that was seen. Wiler Beemer
back on for Sinic East replacing Aiden zach so Piemer

(27:49):
out there with Mason Young Writer and Borden res ad
Ball now so blocked by Hayman right there at the
right arc.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Puts his hands up after he was called for the foul. Yeah,
he gave that expression over there to the official Douglas
lover like, huh, really thought I had that clean, But
Hayman did not appear to say anything.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
He just sort of gave that look.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
As Bordner at the free throw line, Cathully knocks through
that first free throw.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
He has three for three from the line.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Tonight, Caleb bish returns to the Mohawk lineup, replacing Cain
Hamon so second free throw Bordner for Seneca East, and
that's good as well.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
For Bordner, He's four for four. He has seven points overall.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
His team trails at thirty two to nineteen Mohawk with
the basketball left to right, under three to play until halftime. Haines, Yeah,
just keep shooting the threes. This time doesn't go. So
he's missed a couple in a row, but he has
made six. So here we go the other way. Mason,
his triple is online. So Luke Mason with a couple

(28:59):
of threes four Seneca East kind accounts for his six
points and he pulls the Tigers within ten thirty two
to twenty two Mohawk with the leads would have to
go until halftime leveland rifles it in to Ryan Hart,
changes directures against Beamer back up to Cleveland hollow ball fake.
He still has a dribble of live and what's to
use it and then puts it down left side the

(29:19):
Haines feeds it into Bish through a double team and
makes the lamp with the right hand, so Caleb Bish
is on the board for Mohawk, makes it thirty four
to twenty two.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Warriors.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Senegez with the basketball. As we head toward the two
minutes mark of this second quarter, almost half time, Taylor
Young series of crossover dribbles hesitation accelerates and stopped by
Hunter Haynes over the Bardner baseline, move up pie off
the glass and through four Lucas Boardner four senege so

(29:57):
he has nine Sentegese back within ten Mohawk with the
ball leading at thirty four to twenty four, when thirty
seven remaining until halftime, miss with the back to the
basket out to Bogner his three off the backboard and
rim no off of the rebound right Hart that's missus
and Writer is out for the Cinege's repel right to
left where Mason off a hesitation to the top to Writer.

(30:19):
Crossover ball deflected around winds up with Cleveland on the
seal for the mohawk left who right, trying to add
to a ten point advantage, takes a side drop off
for right heart to the lamp go So Karen Wrighthart
with the score his first basket and a nice assist
for Boomer. Cleveland does mohawk, takes a thirty six to

(30:39):
twenty four lead. Final minute of the first half. Mason
left point young high right writer fell line extended. Mason
uses a jab one dribble, directs it up pie to
Bordner left point, writer feeds it into the painted area
to Beamer. Turn around too strong and deflected rebound winds

(31:01):
up with Cleveland mohawk ball left to right leading at
thirty six to twenty four.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Bogner has a high right side to the top.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
Cleveland uses his jab fake the right corner to Bogner
inside and back out to Cleveland. Pull up in the
midrange is good for the right wing for Bloomer co Leaveland.
So Cleveland, with six points is a mohawk takes a
thirty eight to twenty four lead. Final thirteen seconds of

(31:28):
the first half. Cite keys with the ball Lucas Boordner
controlling it down the six seconds tries to break free
of bish pull up right wing off the lid, tip
bub no good, Mason rebound right heart tut'll do it.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
For the first half. Mohawk Warriors in control.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Business has always nope, messing around and some tremendous shooting
from Hunter Haynes with six threes in the first half,
five of them coming in the first quarter. All right,
we'll take a break and we'll come back for our
Reinsurance Agency halftime Show. We'll look at some of those
tournament breakdowns for you again in this contest. At the

(32:12):
half on our Wilson Tires scoreboard is Mohawk thirty eight
Seneges twenty four from Matthew Hanaker Boy High School Basketball
Game of the Week, Imagine ninety five to nine, and
I Hurt Radio all Right High School Basketball Magic ninety
five nine. Here in Sycamore or as R Reinsurance Agency
Halftime Show is wrapping up. At the half, it is
Mohawk leading Seneca East thirty eight to twenty four. Looking

(32:38):
at the Seneca East scoring led by Lucas Mordener with
nine points. Lud Mason has six points, Justin Ryder with
five points, Broiler Beamer with two points Caden Miller with
two points. Looking at the Mohawk Warriors, she had the
leading score for sure, Hunter Haynes his eighteen points, six

(33:03):
points for Boomer Cleveland, four points for Kin Hayman, four
points for Caleb Bish, four points for Connor Flood, two
points for Garrett Reinhardt. Check that, Yeah, I did a
switcher ruth there, Yes, six points for Flood. Yeah that's right. Yeah,

(33:30):
I wrote it down wrong.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
So there we go. So y'all'll do it again.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Eighteen points for Hunter Haynes, six points for Boomer Cleveland,
six points for Connor Flood, four points for Kine Hayman,
two points Caleb Bish, two points Garrett Reinhart. Okay, yeah,
all right, that works. On twenty three seconds left until

(33:57):
we start off the third quarter of play. Mohawk Warriors
going with the same starters.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
That we head at the beginning of the game.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Caine Hayman, Ben Bogner, Connor Flood, Boomer Cleveland, and the
player of the game at least up to this point,
Hunter Haynes leading the way with his eighteen points. Arsenica East,
it's Byler Beamer who's gonna imbound out there with Luke
Mason who's likely to receive that pass. Lucas Bardner, Taylor

(34:30):
Young and Justin Ryder also on the floor for the Tigers.
Here we go third quarter time. It's Seneca East ball
Bordner on the pull up right arc. That one's too strong,
high rebound taking Connor Flood. So it does Mohawk with
asking Paul all right to left. Everybody's watching Haynes. Here
is he going to keep on shooting? He's got the

(34:51):
ball at the high right side, feeds it into Flood.
Point two.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Hayman met defensively by Young, since the right side to
Cleveland to the corner. Hayman for three and nothing but
the bottom cane. Hayman.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
It's just like everybody for this Mohawk Warrior team could shoot.
So seven points for Hayman. That's his first three of
this game. It's forty one the twenty four Mohawk sen
the Gyas with the basket ball right her high right
side to the top. Beamer back to the basket, waits
for the cutter and takes himself cut off by Flood,
but shoots the run over him anyway, No, and Flood

(35:26):
with his second rebound here in this.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Third quarter fourth overall Mohawk with the ball oh and
in the.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Pass from Hayman picked off by Beamer, fifty six turnover.
Pardon me for the Mohawk Warriors, and so sine Keys
with a trailing in forty one to twenty four does
a minute. Ten seconds into this third quarter left wing,
the rider shovels inside Mason Cleveland, all over him, back

(35:52):
out to young Mason gets the ball back for the
Tigers right corner, Beamer giving plenty of room here and
so he just takes the shot as Leeann hits it.
So next time Hunter Haynes is likely to go out
on that shot. Hey dareed him. Yep, Hey, it's how
it goes, part of the game. Makes it forty one
two twenty seven Gohawk with the lead and the ball

(36:16):
six fifteen to go. In the third Haines has the
ball left side. It was out of left corner three
Haymen this time doesn't go. We saw rebound for Flood
to the top Haines straight away and that's too strong
and an offensive rebound for Hayman.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
So Mohawk keeping possession of it.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Two minutes into this Mae Nally you and caught by
Flood landed out of the bounce but was pushed out
of bound. It does appear by Lucas Moreton or god,
they call him on Beamer. Okay, second person on Broler
Beamer very well. So first foul for anybody in this

(36:55):
third quarter. So inside Hayman the pike, Cleveland ball fake,
Young is on them. Reach in and let's see, is
thisn't away from the ball foul? Yeah, it is on
Young because it was Mason who's over there. But they
called the fowl on Young. So two vowels for seneghese

(37:18):
in this third quarter, Mohawk with the ball leading get
forty one twenty seven, lift side three Cleveland. Yeah, second
three four Boomer Cleveland. He's got nine points and it
is forty four to twenty seven. Mohawk seg east with
the basketball with five point thirty two to go in
this third quarter.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Beamer almost lost it and was able to get it
out too. Young right corner, I had a Mason between
two poke from behind by Cleveland winds up with Hayman
and it is Mohawk basketball right to left, Haymen upright
down low Flood and gets pushed again. Yeah, Devin, thee
is Beamer over there.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
The Biamer was called for before, and you have Tyler
Beemer picking up that personal So that's the third personnel
on Beamer. So Mohawk basketball of forty four twenty seven,
five point fifteen to go on the third Cleveland in
the pine to bognern It looks to drive inside righter there,

(38:18):
meets him defensively step back, Oh, Haines not able to
get that one off.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Good defense by young Oh. And then Beemer just, uh,
I don't know what he was thinking. They were just
ringing right into Boomer Cleveland and he's already with the
three fouls.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
So yeah, he's got to go out. I mean, that
was just a very obvious foul. So he's replaced by
Aiden Zach and a coach Anthony Langhurst. He just gives
him a tap there. Yeah, that's just the situation. So
Beemer is likely to be sitting for a while with
those four fouls. Here we go Mohawk with the ball,
right wing shot and no good Haymen ball batted around,

(38:54):
winds up with Bordner and here he goes along the
left side line for City East. Really get forty four
to twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Takes it three.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Oh good high left offensive rebound Mason, He's some help,
gets up to Writer triple. He's got a second three
of this game, justin the Writer. He's got eight points.
Does a Writer makes it forty four two thirty, So
I think he's back within fourteen. Ball deflected around and

(39:21):
then stolen by Writer. We let's see if the Tigers
they're able to get on a little bit of a run.
Maybe Writer wants another three, and that's front iron does
it go? When the rebound Connor flood all alone for
that board. He intends the leading rebounding Browner averaging eleven
per game.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
And here comes Haynes, quick release on a three. Yeah,
he's just going for it. Just shoot it, shoot it
shoot a seventh three of this game for Hunter.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Haynes. Wow, so he's got twenty one points. That's where
all the points have come from. Three point land. There
is a three no good for Bordner rebound for Cleveland
from Ohak leading at forty seven to thirty, and Haines
this time passes.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Out of it to Bowner like they keep looking for him.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Another three for Haynes, this time inside ports in the
rim that bounces over the backboard out of bounce baseline.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
It is sideg's pool.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
So kayleb Bish on to the floor for the Mohawk Warriors,
says he replaces Ben Bogner. All right, So Luke Mason
bringing the driple up for the Tigers left to right
down forty seven to thirty with three twenty five to
go in the third and Zack on the drive missus
but foul Aiden Zack ready to go to life for

(40:47):
the first time tonight. And the personal on Hunter Haynes.
So that's the first personnel on Haynes. So let's see
what it ain't Zach has is still worth the free
throw line. The five ten senior that went dribbles off
for Zach unfortunately for him. That's the first free throw

(41:12):
missed so far tonight for Seneca East Aiden Zach, who, yeah,
this is only its fourth thous This is fourth and
tenth of the season, so he's two for four on
the seasons. He makes that second free throw right there,
and Sinekese wants the full crest.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Fotal credit Union time out with three twenty one to
go into third and we'll take it.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Mohok forty seven sineges thirty one for Matthews Hondakra Boys
High School Basketball Game of the Week.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
I'm magic ninety five. No, all right, here we go
Moohok with the ball.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
And leading at forty seven to thirty one. As we're
heading toward the three minute mark, Sineke east On d
on a dribble drive Cleveland no good off of the
rebound Flood and he put today Donald flood with six
rebounds to go along with eight points. And it is
forty nine to thirty one Mohawks. So yeah, Warriors just
don't appear to be in any trouble whatsoever in this game.

(42:08):
Just such a tremendous basketball team in seneg East. Yeah,
they just want to continue to work through their offensive
sets as they are getting ready for tournament play.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
Just like the Warriors.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
On the drive, Mason with a hooks on off the
glass though, and the rebound for Cleveland Gallups in their
direction bounce past hadn't been in the britt lay in.
Just a gorgeous fast break there for the Mohawk Warriors,
for players who've just been working together for so long.
Nine points for Caine Hayman, So fifty one to thirty
one Mohawk. The Senegas with the basketball. Two fifteen to

(42:43):
go in the third, bord Nerd loses a handle there
to Haynes, and then Haynes may have called the time
out to preserve the possession. That's what happens. So turnover
there for Seneca East and and their Haynes. Just a
good heads up play. And yeah, despite the score being
what it is, I might say, yeah, well you're already

(43:04):
up so big. But yeah, these are the types of
things that you want to think about you go into
the postseason. Yeah, every possession is going to be so important,
particularly if they go into a deep run and teams
get a lot tougher. So yeah, I'd look at the
Mohawk Warriors. Yea tremendous potential to go far. All right,

(43:38):
two eleven remaining in the third, there's a Mohawk with
the ball leading in fifty one.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
To thirty one.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
Oh in the ley Cutter Flood and Uther Hains the
one who found them ten points four Flood fifty three
to thirty one.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Mohawk.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Goodness, Yeah, they just look like a well oiled machine.
Step back three sudden off the inside portion of the rim.
Another rebound for Boomer Cleveland johns up with the dribble,
heads up, crosses over a left hand stopped at the
yard up hi heymn louckedon loaded three does it go
up with a rebound for Flood and saves it from

(44:16):
Ohawk to Cleveland out the Flood at the left corner,
heads in.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
With the dribble and break free from layup. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
I mean, if you've got Connor Flood, a great post
up player is able to dribble it like that and
just take it to the hole.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
What do you do?

Speaker 3 (44:33):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (44:36):
Fifty five thirty one is the Count Mohawk coming the
other direction, layup. It's good for Lucas Bardner. So Bordner
continues to play. He's such a rightful young man, and yeah,
this is senior season. Has eleven points. Fifty five to
thirty three is the Count Ohawk obviously with the lead
oh and then the turnaround goes for Boomer Cleveland, so

(44:59):
Boomer clean. He is up to eleven points back for
Seneca East and a step through Mason and he's fouled
on the way up. So Luke to go to the
line with forty one and a half seconds remaining in
the third quarter, so Boomer Cleveland picking up the personal

(45:20):
for Mohawk his first So Luke Mason here at the
free throw line. First free throw goes through for Luke.
He's a top free throw shooter in the untenant ninety percent.
We remember when he started off his career playing with
his brother Isaac Mason. There's the all time leading scorer

(45:43):
for the Seneca East program, and Luke, a fine player
in his own right, makes a second free throw as well.
He almost never misses when he's there. So eight points
for Luca Mason. Seneca East is within twenty two to
Mohawk with the basketball to thedy seventy three. I fath
Lee Haynes step through layup, always call for the travels. Okay,

(46:09):
So it is back for Sidica East down fifty seven
to thirty five.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Finally, twenty eight seconds left of the third quarter.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
All right, So Mason sends it out to Young, who
has been really quiet offensively, hasn't really been shooting the
ball and has not scored as a result, has eight seconds,
stops his dribble. Oh and in the miscommunication, but want'
to a Bordner though, four seconds for lucas a deep three.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Here it comes, that's off the rim. No good And
at the end of three, all Mohawk Warriors.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
As they just continue to dominate. So at the end
of three it is Mohawk fifty seven. Sineka East thirty
five will be back for the start of the fourth
quarter for Matthew's ovakrab his high school basketball.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
Game in the week.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
I'm meant to ninety five to nine and iHeartRadio. You
just missed a few seconds here of the fourth quarter
as Hunter Hanes made a two and Idiot's another three,
his eighth three of the night. Oh my gosh, Hunter Hayes,
what a performance, twenty six points as Bullhog leads at
sixty two thirty five. Yeah, Sinekea's just gitting blitz tonight.

(47:24):
And yeah, this is a big part of why Mohawk.
You go really far in the postseas against the shooting
go we get to steal here f Untner Hanes looking
to attack on Boardner who deflects the ball from behind
knocks it out of bounds. Yeah, Haines, he shows it. Yeah,
he could do more than three point shooting. Yeah, he's
an excellent passer. He could take it to the hoop,
he could pull up in the mid range. As we

(47:46):
get a three here, Hayman doesn't go, has rebound taken
by and Zach for Sineke East, and the long pads
ahead to Brailer Beamer as he's able to put in two.
So Beamer's got seven points on the evening for Senega East.

(48:07):
All right, So the score sixty two thirty seven mag
or the leaves right away three for Cleveland off the heel,
no rebound yanked out Bordner long pass ahead looking for Mason,
but tapped out by Cleveland, who's tracking on d like
a safety in football.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
Had the ball knocked out of bounds.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
And so it is, well, the officials are going to
talk about this, see if they're going to change the ruling.
They were saying it is mohawk ball, and yeah, they
do discuss and they change it to Sineges ball.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Okay, fair enough.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
So Bryler Beemer to inbound it from the sideline for
the Senega East, so went to the back cord for
born Tener and the mohawk with it here sixty two
seven lead. Yeah, we get a steal here for Cleveland,

(49:04):
so they're just being relentless taking it. The direction has
cut off by writer, I'm flooding three point land out
to Hanes another three, yes and tea. We're seeing a
legendary performance. Tonight, ninth three of the game for Hunter Haynes.
He's got twenty nine sixty five to thirty seven Haines

(49:28):
with the steal. Here we go the other direction.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Oh, he's having fun. Why not throw it up again
off the lids? Wow?

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Yeah, wanna make it an even ten if you can.
How do we get a steel here for Hayman, let's
go takes it himself, gets fouled by writer. Then almost
a tip jam follow for Flood wouldn't have counted anyway.
But the more Warriors, they are just flat out pushing

(49:57):
themselves here, putting on a show for these home Fayant.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
Tourier's taint.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Hayman at the free throw line to see calmly knocks
down the first one. Remember, seniors are honored here earlier
tonight on Senior Night on the Flood comes out of
the game as he gets a hand replaced by Garrett Righthord.
Second free throw that is good for Hayman. So Hayman
makes a couple of free throws. He comes out of

(50:31):
the game with his eleven points, replaced by Ben Bogner.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Yes, so.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
See that starters are being pulled out individually. Here we
go with Bordner into the front corn for Sendica East
down low and then takes it in for two. Luke Mason.
So makes a score sixty seven to thirty nine League Jason,

(51:03):
that's ten points. Have we got a three?

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Hyde?

Speaker 4 (51:07):
It's ten threes on the night for Hunter Hanes. Thirty
two points full time out for the Buhawk Warriors. Hugs

(51:29):
all around.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
This is how you do it. And Hunter Haynes.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
He's as hardworking and as humble any players you'll see.
And he's got the record the hug for mom who'll
sirc around the gym. Of course, his dad's Mike Haynes,

(51:59):
is on the coaching staff. Mike also coaches Hunter in golf,
so proud of him. He wears number ten and ten
threes for a Hunter Haynes on an outstanding performance. So

(52:24):
the score is seventy to thirty nine in favor of Mohawk.
So yeah, this is uh it is a route obviously
the Mohawk Warriors, they are just that type of team.
Think he's just looking to finish things out here. My

(52:45):
name Zach had the ball and somebody for Mohawk called
for the foul. It's on Marty Justin. I've loved senior
Justin So Brady Bloom six to two, Junior on for Sinegee,
replacing Taylor Young.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Four fifty two to go in the fourth Beamer high
left side, Bloom round the screen, Cayden Miller and outside
to Beemer, turn around left, hooks at off the glass
and the rebound Hayden Parker for the Mohawk Warriors. He
heads right to left, sends out Boonner for three heads

(53:24):
off the lid and off at the rebound. Justin left
handle and Miller out for the rebound for Cindici's left
the right trailing at seventy to thirty nine. We had
this contest not the oh. Here's Cleveland on the steel
and he.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Outruns everybody and puts in the layup Boomer Cleveland. So
he's got thirteen does Boomer Cleveland cross country runner? Than
he is a great shape. You could play the whole game.

Speaker 2 (53:55):
If need be.

Speaker 3 (53:58):
Well.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
I suspect he'll be pulled a some point.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Here is Luke Mason has it up high right side
where the Tigers spits through the double team takes into
the lane and lose the handle of it. How the
bounds yep, it just goes back to the Mohawk Warriors.
And I have those nine turnovers for Senica East. So
Landon Hicks with his first appearance tonight for Senica East

(54:21):
and Blumer Cleveland as we know that probably going to
be pulled from the game, and he just has been.

Speaker 2 (54:28):
Bloomer with his thirteen points. It is a night for him.
So Alak with the ballad he get seventy two to
thirty nine.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
High for bish left side justin three oh and Zach
goes for the rebounding hard fall there for Aiden Zach,
he's helped up by opponent Ben Bogner, so they call
that personnel on Garrettwyne hard So Brandon bloom is out

(55:01):
there for Mohawk five eleven Senior and not to be
confused with Brady Bloom out there for seneg East, seventy
two thirty nine in the gas with the ball and
trailing with three seventeen and going the fourth Miller stopped
out to Bordner for three swirls off and the rebound
bish for the Mohawk Warriors, and he brings it up

(55:25):
left side, blooms three, left side.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
Goes wow reading Bloom.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Hits the triple, makes it seventy five to thirty nine Mohawk.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
As we get a shot left dark, no good for Miller.
So yeah, thirty six points down.

Speaker 1 (55:52):
Yeah, a number three this time doesn't go for Bloom.
Two thirty five remaining the fourth. Yeah, so that's why
we got the running clock. So Trey Young comes on
for the first time for Seneca East, replacing Lucas Bordner.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
So Bordner's night is through, So back for the Bohawk Warriors.
So more than two minutes remaining in this one.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
Oh Ryan Hart for three off the heel off of
the rebound bush and looks to get out the Parker's trying.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
To get some more scores in the books.

Speaker 1 (56:35):
Perhaps all bloom an under three tries this time right
side doesn't go man rebound pulled out there for Trey Miller.
Voor Senegez left the right to Aiden Zach Rush's right side,
puts it off the window. Aiden Zach with a nice
score for Seneca East. So that's his first field goal.

(56:55):
He's got three points, seventy five to forty one.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
The other way.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
Oh, nice block by Brady Bloom on the shot attempt
by Hayden Parker. So back for Seneca East, Trey Miller
up Hie to Hicks over the left side. Bloom and
his three for Senica East doesn't go, but he's fouled.
So Brady Balloom to the free throw line to shoot three.

(57:19):
Hayden Parker picking up the personal for Mohawk. So Brady Bloom.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Six to two junior free throw who first one does
not go for Balloom Sony his second free throw attempt
on the season. Here's this third and that one doesn't.
That one does go.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
One more attempt, that's good. Clock continuing to roll here
in a running clock. So two or three on that
trip for May Bloom for Senega East. Score seventy five
to forty three. Parker out to the left side, pull up,
Gardey justin hits it from the baseline. So Marty justin
able to knock it down for the basket, seventy seven

(58:13):
to forty three. Mohawk ins well get a long shot
right side. Zach does not go, and we get a
whistle underneath. But clock just going to continue to roll here.
Final ten seconds on the inbound bloom and no shot

(58:34):
that'll do a.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
Game is over.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Seventy seven to forty three. Mohawk in complete command getting
this victory over the Seneca East Tigers. There's yet another
statement made by these Mohawk Warriors who want to go far.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
In the postseason.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Every indication that the Warriors can because they improved to
eighteen and two. Syneke's falling to a respectable fourteen and eight. Yeah,
tournament time.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
Coming up. Regular season's over.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
Wow, Well that was a fun one and obviously the
big storyline the record threes there for Hunter Haynes getting
ten threes and thirty two points overall. They just had
one two pointer, didn't shoot any free throws in this one,

(59:41):
And yeah, that's really the key when you've got a
player who's that hot, keep riding them in the especial night.

Speaker 2 (59:53):
And this is one of those nights.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Yeah, Friday night here, some of the fans, probably not
in the huge hurt is gonna sort of hang out here,
enjoy what a night this has been for Mohawk. Well,

(01:00:17):
we'll take a little break and we'll come back. We'll
wrap things up. Ken it's the final. Seventy seven to
forty three Mohawk the winners over Sinegeese for Matthews St.
