Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze. The Morning Breeze on demand. It's time
for the Morning Breeze. Brain teese, I dare say the
most popular bit of trivia in the Bay Area, according
to Court, I'm not wrong. It's good though. Yeah, it's good.
It's sponsored by Mike Counsel Plumbing. You're in clean hands
with Mike Counsel Plumbing. Visit them at mc plumbing dot com.

(00:22):
Today's question. Four out of ten workers say they need
a reminder to do this during the workday.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
All right eight seven, seven, nine eight one nine eight
one Kevin in Fremont, Happy Friday. What's your guests?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Well, as my wife works from home, she often gets
reminded to take a break baby, lunchtime.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
H lunch taking their lunch break. Yeah, that, Kevin is
the correct answer. He did, get it, got it right?
Oh my gosh, good job, Kevin. Yeah, Kevin, you should
call in more often and try this. I will do my.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Best, Okay, deal, All right, Kevin, have a good day.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
You guys do the same, Okay, Court.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I want to keep going because I feel like every
single person today this is exactly what I thought the
answer was going to be.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Eat.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yeah, So let's see if we can get a few people,
if everybody says the same thing. All right, okay, Ashley
listening to us in fulsome what's your guess take their
lunch break? There we go again. Nicely done, Ashley. The
person before you got it too. So have a good
day at a good weekend. That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Okay, before we go to the next person, I should say,
these people can't hear each other. No, they don't know
that somebody has already gotten this right idea. Okay, Vicky
in Hayward, what do you think the answer is a lunch?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
There it is again, you did it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I'm surprised for out of ten people need to be
reminded to have lunch at work.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Bad.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah. There's been times in my life though, where I've like,
just I've had deadlines and I just I forget to
eat really like two or three o'clock in the afternoon,
and you're like, oh, man, I need to eat.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
How does anybody forget to eat?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, but there was nobody to run.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
No, you're right, and sometimes you just get so overwhelmed.
And then sometimes people just like, oh, you know, I
take my lunch in a couple of hours you got
those ones that are you know, looking at the clock
like twove o'clock come because I want to take my lunch.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
You know you got those.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
But yeah, you're right, there are times to where you
have to you know, you have so much work to
do and you're trying to play catch it and all
of a sudden, you know, hey, it's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
No, I'm going to have to disagree with both of you.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Here.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I am looking at that clock from the moment I
sit down.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
For me, it's eight eight. You're a can I eat?
You're a machine? Caroline?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh no, I've got a system and a schedule. But
you import Vicky, you do you as the kids saying, you.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Know what the one thing it was like because I
start my job at eight o'clock. I'm looking, okay, five
o'clock come around. I know it's five o'clock somewhere, but work.
Shame on me for saying that, but I'm being honest.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
It's funny though that you'll forget to eat your lunch,
but you will not forget when it's time to go home.
And you're like, I am out of exactly right on,
VICKI well have a great day. Good to talk to you.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
By talking like you guys have a great Dan too.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay bye by That's how I predicted that would go.
I knew people were going to get that one. That
was a good one. Morning Breeze breen Tease. We do
it every weekday morning here at eight forty.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
And coming up next on the Morning Breeze, we're going
commercial free, ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free relaxing favorites.
That's next here on the Breeze and Louise It's music
from the Commodore is at six forty one. Here on
ninety eight point one The Breeze, the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Cordon. As we deliver relaxing favorites, we also
tried to deliver knowledge. Yes with the more you know.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
You said a couple of minutes ago court that you
think you know all right what I'm about to say.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, so you said, if you're going to send her
an attack text to somebody, there is one certain word
that you shouldn't do. It's kind of a response text.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
It's a what Yes, it's a one word message that
you've sent. It's the worst thing you could say.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It's as a response Yes, I want to give you that.
I think I know what it is because I feel
like when I get it for my daughters or from
somebody that I'm like, are they a mad at me?
Or do they not really want to do this?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
You're on the right track?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Answer is sure, sure.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Totally got yes, Yes, I'm okay. Here's the deal. I
thought that the worst one word message you could send
via text would be okay or some people just do okay,
which irritates me.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
When you just get a letter k he that to
me is very It's very definitive, like okay, yeah. Sure
is like you you you immediately interpret it as negative.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Sure, sure whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Sure, Hey, do you want to go to the store? Sure?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Sure? I mean I don't like it in real life,
let alone on a text. So they say that the
word sure, when you send this via text, it is passive.
It sounds passive. It sounds indecisive, like try and avoid
using that if you're texting.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Like I guess, yeah, that's what it feels like.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Or fine another one fine, or as Court likes to do,
just the thumbs up emoji. Cannot stand.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It is the okay emoji. It's not the true okay yeah,
but it's like it's okay, We're good.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
It just feels it's so no effort, plus just responding
with one word in general, solo effort.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
You put way too much thought into text.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I send great texts. Sure oh you did not just
do that. This is what I deal with everybody I'm
on text and apparently in.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
Vert see and that is that is proof of why
you shouldn't answer with sure fine?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Is it.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
All right?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Morning Breeze, The more you know here on the Morning
Breeze we do it every weekday morning here at six
forty Hey.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
We're just a few minutes away from the seven o'clock hour,
and after seven o'clock on Fridays, everybody knows we announce
a new Morning Breeze Person of the Week.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
We have a great one for you this week, as
we do every week, but I really really like this
week's Morning Breeze Person of the Week. We are looking
forward to this. We will reveal this week's winter coming
up just after seven o'clock here on the Breeze. It's
seven oh four and it's Michael Jackson here on the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court let us get right
to it. We are so looking forward to revealing this

(06:30):
week's Morning Breeze Person of the Week. As I mentioned
a minute ago, we have received so many great nominations.
It was a hard choice, but I am so happy
with this week's choice.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah. So, Paula is our nominator and she nominated somebody
very special in her life, Gaetana, who is a special
ed teacher in Benetia.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
She goes by miss g So. Paula, what is your
relationship with Miss g So?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
She was the teacher for my daughter one year in
middle school, then she got transferred to the high school.
Daughter now is finally the high school and back with her.
Oh gosh, So, my daughter, you know, has special needs,
and she has been amazing throughout. We've dealt with many
teachers before and they're amazing because to me, a special

(07:15):
needs teacher you have to be special, right sure, but
she is extra special because she really believes in them
and she helps us believe in their potential because we
try to baby our kids, especially if they has special needs.
But she really shows parents that there is a way
and there is another future, and she is so positive

(07:38):
all the time, and she really believes in us and
the kids.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
You must have been so happy when your daughter moved
into high school, and you found out, as you call
her ms G, that she was going to be kind
of reunited with your daughter. I mean that must have
been such a weight off your shoulders.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Oh definitely, that was the plan all along. When she
got moved, I said, Okay, one more year of middle
school and then we're back.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
With miss so cute. What I love about this is
just you pointed out Paula is not only is she
teaching the kids and helping them learn, but the parents
are learning as well how to better be better parents
for their kids.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Oh yeah, and even once you moved to high school,
she said, no matter what happens when Gabby gets out
of high school, I will help you guys find a way,
even if I'm not her teacher.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Wow, that's special.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
We always talk about how special teachers are on our show,
but this is a great example of how they do.
They always go above and beyond. We need to try
and call her and get her on with us.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Just give us a second.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Hello, Hi, miss G. Yes, Hey, this is Carolyn and
Court from ninety eight point one The Breeze.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Oh my gosh, Hi, good morning, good morning.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
We also have Paula on the phone with us.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Yes, hello, Paula.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Hi, So I nominated you to be the person of
the week. It's supposed to be about a person who
we think it's making a difference in our community. And
I really believe that you do make a difference, and
I wanted you to have that honor.

Speaker 5 (09:18):
Keep falling. You're so sweet.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Well, thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
She was telling about us about all that you do
for your students and beyond that, you just sound incredible.
Oh say thank you.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
I don't know what to say.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Paula talked about how not only are you encouraging your
students and the children to become their best selves, but
you're also pushing the parents to also see that possibility
in their own children.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Yeah, Paula is one of the parents that has really
been there every step of the way since I came
to this new district because she's just a battle force
for her daughter. And it was easy to just jump
right in and say, yep, and we can do so
much more.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
And I would imagine it makes such a difference when
the parents are involved.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
It does.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
But you can't look at parents as you know, either
a downfall. You know they do the best they can.
We are not given children with disabilities, So you know,
those that are I just believe they're saints and they
do the best that they can, and I just want
to help them no matter what their walk in life is,
no matter where they come from. You know they've been

(10:27):
given something way more challenging than most of us. So
I just say if I can help in any way
to support them, whether they are fully involved in their
children's lives or whether they're just doing the best they
can to put food on the table, whatever it is
for them and their family, I just want to be
there to support them.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
From the parents' side. Not a lot of the times
that people see our kids with their deficiencies, and these
g sees those their possibilities, and she tries to really
talk to the parents of all the possibilities that I'll
there for all of our kids. Let me be z
extra special because you know she also sees all the
fusibilities then try to help us see them.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
That's incredible.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Thank you so much. I love my job.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
So miss Gi, what we want to do for you
is we are going to award you brunch for two
courtesy of City Cruises. You're going to go out on
the bay. You're going to be on one of their
beautiful boats, and you're gonna eat some good breakfast, drink
some mimosas if you want, and just sail around the
bay and take a little time off.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Oh my god, I don't think I've ever won anything.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Well, it's time that you do.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
This is so exciting.

Speaker 5 (11:36):
Thank you, Thank you very much. Ninety eight point one.
I listen to you guys every day.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Oh my gosh. Thank you love to hear it.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
We really appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yeah, it's my favorite station. I can sing all the
words to all the songs.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Oh, thank you so much, Thank you so much, so much.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
And Paul, is you so sweet to think of me.
I'm just doing my job. I'm just doing what I
love to do. I wanted to be a special at
teacher since seven. Is great, so I'm just living my
dream basically.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
That is so awesome. You are the best and so
deserving of this. So congratulations again, thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Oh my gosh, I'm just son.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Well, We're happy to do it. Have a great day,
you guys.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
If there is somebody like miss g in your life,
we want to hear about them for the next morning.
Breeze Person of the week, make that nomination on our website.
Ninety eight. Onethebreeze dot com, it's The Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court and Steam win would it's seven twenty six,
and because it's seven twenty six, it means it's time
for ask us anything. A chance for you to call

(12:40):
into the show, or text the show, or email the show,
or send us a talk.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Back to the showlide into our DMS. That's what Derek did.
Derek listens to us in Santa Rosa. He sent a
message and said he listens every morning. Thank you Derek,
And he said, are you and Court pancake people or
waffle people?

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Great question? Love this question?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Well, I actually love this question. I have to think
about hmmm, I know my answer you.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I would probably tend to go between the waffle and
the pancake. I probably nine times out of ten, I'm
gonna go pancakes.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Oh, I did not expect that.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Although I love waffles, there's there they're different bready materials.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Okay, I don't that's an interesting way to describe it. Yes,
I think I would go pancake.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Pancake. Okay, the pancake.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Look, I made pancakes yesterday they were so good. I
make like protein pancakes where I'll take a little bit
of pancake mix and then I take some protein powder.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
I watch you eat breakfast here, So when are you
eating these pancakes?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner. It's the life of a single girl.
It's pretty great.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
You're doing the brinner. I guess breakfast diner. Sure, yeah, okay,
but here's the key.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
The pancakes were slightly undercooked, so you've got like they're cooked,
but then there's a little bit in the middle of
that's a little soggy. That is how I like. It's
perfect pancake. Pancakes for me. A waffle sometimes they hurt
the roof of your mouth. Sometimes a waffle can be
too crunchy, crispy. Oh look, I gotta go pancake.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
I gotta go back to this. The way you're preparing
your pancakes, you like a soft middle of your like
the gooey battery, Carolyn.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, it's cake batter adjacent. It's like eating you remember
cake batter back in the day.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
I remember, like the bowl. It's like that with a pancake. Yeah,
but there's a vast difference between cake batter and pancake batter.
One is sugary sweet, the other one gross.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Not to me.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
If you will, it's great, it's not gross. If you're
looking for that gooey center, you take care of that
with that daub of butter that melts down into the center,
and then you take care of the rest with the syrup.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I don't even eat butter on it. I just go
pancake straight pancake. Who submitted this question again, Derek?

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Derek? I love the question. Okay, So why why did
Derek though? I'll give us the three choices, which is
would be appropriate pancakes, waffles, or French.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Toast Because he's heard you talk about French toasts so
many times when we send people on those city cruises.
He's tired of hearing about it, so he probably is like,
I know, Court likes French toast. I would take French
toast over anything any day. I think I'm with you
on that.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
It's so good.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
It's so good. It's like candy with syrup on it,
breakfast and it's okay somehow because it's French toast and.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
It was once just a piece of toast. It was
just bread one day.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So good This is a good conversation, Derek.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Ask us anything every weekday morning it's seven twenty five.
Send us your questions anyway. You can call us eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one, you
can email us, send them through our DMS, yes, or
you could send a talk back with our iHeartRadio app.
And also please join us later in the show eight
to fifty as we go commercial free ninety eight minutes
to start your workday on this Friday. We'll do that

(15:55):
at eight fifty Here on the Morning Breeze Brian Adams.
Everything I do, I do it for you. And it's
eight ten. Good morning, Happy Friday morning to you. It's
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. And the question
this morning is Carolyn, am I a bad person? Is
what Court asked a couple of minutes ago. So I
can't wait to hear what happened at home. Let me
give you the backdrop. Okay, So if you've got kids,

(16:16):
you know it's back to school season. Every all the
kids are back in school. There's still some back to
school shopping taking place. Oh gosh, yes, including my youngest daughter,
who is a senior this year, her.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Final year of high school. So it's a pretty big deal.
And if you know anything about my daughter Sloan, she's
seventeen years old, but she's already there's a term for it.
They in French, they call them the bon vivant people
who love the good things in life. Ah that's Oh,
she's got some expensive taste. Yeah, she likes the finer

(16:47):
thing she does. And here's the thing, here's where she's
gotten really lucky. My mother in law also likes the
finer things in life. Oh, I see, and you've met
my mother in law.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Of course she's lovely.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
She is.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
She loves my daughter, which I you couldn't ask for
anything more. She loves them with all her heart. She
also loves the shop, and so it works out great
for somebody likes Sloan. Yeah again, who has expensive tastes.
So you may not know this or not, but Doc
Martin's are making a huge comeback with the teenage shoes. Yes,
it was big in the in the nineties. Yes it's back.

(17:22):
Oh and Sloane found a pair that when my wife
and I saw the price tag, we were like, what, really,
you want to suspend that much on a pair of shoes?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
I remember those shoes being fairly expensive back in the
day for back in the day, so I can imagine
now and especially they're the Raids quadruple it.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
That's probably what the price is. So I have this
move again, knowing that my mother in law loves my
daughters and loves the shop. I say to Sloan, hey,
have you asked Nana about buying those shoes?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
I see why you asked, if you're a bad.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
And then I also, I always say, this is not
why we love Nana. We love Nana because she's the
best person in the world.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
You pawned her off too, But have Nana's wallet?

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Did it work?

Speaker 4 (18:09):
Yes it did.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
I knew it was gonna work. I knew it was
gonna work. You're not a bad person. But I am
concerned because I know Nana loves listening to the show.
So she now knows.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Oh, I think she's fine with it. I think she's
happy to be that person. Wow.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Then everybody wins. You win, Sloane wins, and I go
out of.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
My way to make sure that my daughter Sloan knows,
this is not why we love Nana. This is not what,
of course, not the gent like our relationship is based
on way more than this. But that was pretty smart
in a pinch. Yeah, you need some Doc Martin's Uh huh,
Nana's just a text away.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Can I call Nana for some things I need? It
might be worth a try, might be Oh that is
pretty brilliant. And I love it that Sloan tends to
like the hustler, the schemer and the family and you
kind of.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Did it just now. I did it for This is
the one part where where Sloan is not doing it
on her own because she wasn't even thinking about it.
So great job, well done, everybody, Thank you, Thank you.
An conclusion, I'm a bad person.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
No you're not. You're a very smart person. We're at
eight seven seven nine, eight one nine eight one stick around.
We're going to be commercial free coming up later this hour.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yeah, that means ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free,
relaxing favorites and we'll get that underway at eight fifty
Here on the Morning Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with

my band teacher from high school when I went to
Ignatia Valley High School and conquered, mister Acatino was my teacher,
hands down, one of the most influential teachers.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
I've ever had.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
It's like a lasting memory. Yeah, for real, for life.
He was the best.
