Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I love that song so much, you do.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Really?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
If we played it a second time, like two times
in a row, I would not complain one bit.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
I like what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
So good.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I love that song. I used to have that whole
album back in the eighties. My friend Hillary and I
will listen to it. That song is so good.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Did you listen to the Cars in your car? I did. Yeah,
that's pretty great.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
That's a good one.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
A little early for that. Sixth twenty is the time
the cars here on ninety eight point one The Breeze.
You've got The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's
not too early, however, for the Morning Breeze Brain teaes.
That's right. It's sponsored by Mike Counsel Plumbing. You're in
clean hands with Mike Cancel Plumbing. Visit them at mc
plumbing dot com. Your clue today, Yes, health experts say

(00:47):
doing this one simple thing can help you relieve your stress. Okay,
be curious to see what people think. This answer is
eight seven seven, nine nine eight one. Michael in San Francisco,
Good morning, what is your gas scrutching frereaching. Oh yeah, crutching.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yeah, something a little bit dynamic, like for example, I've
taken a dynamic stretching class. Literally just allowing the weight
from your head itself, go to one side, let it
stay there for at these fifteen seconds, roll it over
to the other side, and we're doing it right now

(01:28):
that in itself, you know, So just remember fifteen seconds
is the minimum. Thirty seconds is ideal, and breathe and
then if you can breathe at the same time. I
can't tell you what an incredible centerings.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I love what the morning breeze brain. He's just turned
into a yoga class.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, it really is. This is a bonus to use
yoga voices.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
So good.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, well, Michael and Michael as much as I love
that answer, and it's probably true, not the correct answer
today though, with the playing Michael.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Thank you guys so much, and I can't wait to
hear the answer by bye.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Okay, Sue in Brisbane, good morning. What's your guess after work?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
You can drink. I don't drink very often, but every
once in a.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
While I'm like, I'm gonna have me a drinker.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Sure, yeah, sometimes it just sounds good.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
What's the terms.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Nice and cold and you know, refreshing.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
That's a good guess, but not the correct one. The
correct answer, according to health experts, if you want to
relieve some stress, this one simple thing is humming. Just
a little humm stress hummy.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
You know I would never think of it.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, all right, take here, Bye bye, Sue. That's what
about the last time I hummed? I don't know when
that was. But do you know you're humming a lot
of people hum and don't realize it.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I think that's typically the case, your humming along you
Are you a hummer? I'm more of a whistler, I
believe I yes, that try. I noticed this also about
my father in law. He's an avid whistler. Oh, but
I don't think he's doing it to relieve any stress.
I think he's just doing it to fill the void.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I used to work with a whistler, and I would
know when he got to work because I would hear
the whistling on the hall and be like, he's here
because the whistle. And then in one time I was
around his wife. He was whistling and she said, will
you knock that off? And I thought, oh, we whistles
at home too. Some people are just whistlers.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
And some people are hummers, and in some cases humming
can help leave that stress.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Now you know the morning Breeze brain teas we do
it every weekday morning here at six point twenty on
the breeze.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Something else you can count on is going to happen
at eight fifty this morning when we go commercial free.
That means ninety eight minutes of non stop, commercial free
relaxing favorites.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yep, we'll do that at eight to fifty for you
right here and ear the brees. Of course. That's John
Lennon six forty two Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord.
I cannot wait to get into this the more you know,
which we do ever weekday morning at this time, because
Court you had mentioned a couple of minutes ago, you've

(04:06):
got a way for us to it sounds like workout
effectively by doing as little work as possible.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
So I would like to know what that theory is.
So it's an exercise craze. It's called effortless exercise or
zone zero. Okay, So are you familiar with the exercise zones?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
You?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Being the athlete that you.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Are, I wouldn't say I'm an athlete anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Right, So there are five zone levels when it comes
to exercises, which is basically, you do these things and
it elevates your heart rate towards your max heart rate.
So one is the first level obviously, so far this
is great, and that's light basic levels like warm ups,
cool downs, recovery. Five is like it's your max. Yeah,

(04:48):
so it's one hundred percent of your max heart rate,
got it. And then the other ones are in between.
This is zone zero where it's extremely gentle movements, even
slower than the warm up ones, so that your heart
rate stays below zone one range, which is why they
call it zone zero. And here are some examples.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Wait, how is this work?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Strolling about your house, simple stretches, light yoga, puttering around
the garden.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Okay, I feel like puttering and exercise don't go hand
in hand.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
But according to the research, this light activity can improve circulation,
regulate blood sugar, lower cardiovascular risk, ease stress, and support
mental health.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So basically just living is exercising. No, my takeaway, it.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Is intentional, So you're doing this intentionally, but just puttering.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
About it's better than sitting for hours on end for sure.
I get that, and I.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Think that might be the pot point is getting up
and just wandering around or just doing just what you
might think is is lazy exercise or lazy stretches. Is
better than just sitting in your couch still doing something, Yes, again, gentle,
regular activity still counts and helps you work towards lasting

(06:06):
health like that.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
This is a craze by the way that you called
it a craze, like people are really into this.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
So I'll take it because I think you're ready to
take it a step further and say this is crazy.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah, I mean it just sounds.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
It's almost like you don't believe me.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I just think it's like better than sitting. You're moving,
you're walking more, You're getting more steps in really and
a lot of people measure their steps on their smart
watches or whatever, so maybe it's like contributing to that.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Sure. Here's what's great is that it's sustainable. You can
do this every single day. Yeah, it's going to go called.
I love the term putter. You just go putter.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
About putter about the garage. Okay, that's a good one.
It's the more, you know, we do it every weekday
morning at six forty.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Tell me you're not going to go practice this.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Will I be puttering today?

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Am I?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I might? I'm puttering right now.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Coming up this morning at eight fifty, we are going
to be commercial free. Great way to start off your day.
If you're working at home, you're in the office, whatever
you're up to, or maybe you're puttering. Have the breeze on.
We're going to be commercial free for ninety eight minutes
at eight to fifty. Here on the breeze.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and Iheartradios.
Thank a teacher powered by donors Choose. Today's Teacher of
the Day is Austin Dice, who teaches at Foothill Middle
School in Walnut Creek.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
He teaches an inclusion program at Foothill Middle School, and
it calls his classroom a tribe of six seventh and
eighth graders just helping each other and learning from one another.
So I love that because he's taking the students and
he's educating them, but also having them help one another.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
It's sort of a collaborative effort. So, mister Dice, you
are now in the running to win five thousand dollars
for your classroom.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
And you can help say thank you to the educator
shaping the future by nominating your favorite teacher. Right now
at ninety eight one The Breeze dot Com. It's seven
oh five with Taylor Dane here on ninety eight eight
point one The Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court and time now for the Brighter Side, sponsored
by Shreven Company, Luxury time pieces, fine designers and Flawless Diamonds.

(08:10):
Brighter Side is where you call in and share the
good and positive things happening here in your life. And
it could be about anything that you're grateful for. For sure.
Maybe you had a really great weekend. Something happened over
the weekend, Please call in and share it with us.
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. So
we've got.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Vince in Hollister Holding, and you said you're starting your
morning off with some gratitude.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
What are you grateful for?

Speaker 4 (08:33):
My boys? I got two baby boys. I have a
three year old and a six month old, and going
home to the end every day is great.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I think it goes without saying you have your hands full?

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yes you do, yeah, I do?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
Well.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
These are the easy times. Now, wait about ten years right, Court. Oh,
I know, I know you were that age once.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
You know what's coming.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So what do you do for work? Vince?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
I am a so I drive out of Giroy, So
I work in Giroy. I commute from Hollistreet to Giroy
and then from Heiro I go up to San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Wait, you do this all in one day.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Who do you work for?

Speaker 4 (09:11):
I'm a class A driver and I work for a
food distribution plan.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
You must really love your job because that's a long
drive every single day.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
That is awesome. Well, Vince, it's really nice talking to you.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Okay, thank you, have a good Monday, Vince, Thank you,
Bye bye.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Cord. I know you are spoiled in the sense that
you walk to work every day.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Yeah, how many minutes? Five if that?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
And compared to how much Vince drives every day. I
look at my drive from the East Bay here to
the station. That's nothing compared to what he do. And
so many people do what he does.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Right, whether you're doing the long commute or driving, is
actually your job. I have a lot of respect for you.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah, and by the way, thank you for listening to
the Breeze while you drive Vince and have a great
rest of your day for sure. If you have a
brighter side for us eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one. You can always send us a
talk back using our iHeart Radio app. That little red
microphone button up in the top corner of our app.
That is how you send us that talk back. It's
super easy to use.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
And coming up this morning at seven twenty five, it's
ask us anything. Your chance to call into the show
eight seven seven nine eighty one oh nine eight one
and ask us anything that might be on your mind.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, maybe you've been thinking about something. We've talked to
a lot of people that say I've been thinking about something,
I just haven't called. Well, today's the day that you
can call and ask us any question that's on your mind.
We're happy to answer it. We're going to do ask
us anything next here on the Breeze. It's journey and
that is faithfully seven twenty five, Good morning, Happy Monday
to you. Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and you

(10:40):
know by now that every weekday morning at seven twenty
five we do ask us anything, take your questions, answer
whatever it is that is on your mind. No question
is off limits, right, whether it's something about our lives
or the show, or you're looking for an opinion on
something and you just need a couple of out side opinions.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Right, if you're curious about something, we may or may
not be able to answer your questions.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Okay, that just undid pretty much everything I said. Anyway,
it's ask us anything. We're at eight seven seven nine
nine eight one, or send us a message with our
iHeartRadio app using the talkback mic on the app.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
All right, good morning, David and Hollister.

Speaker 5 (11:21):
I have a question for you. Guys, want to ask
us anything? Sure, So I'm as curious. Do you guys
like know how long your songs are and picture in
songs that like, well kind of fill in the gap
like approximately, Oh, this song is like four minutes, this
song is three minutes. Let's play these songs to fill
in the gap.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Well, all of the songs are scheduled. We schedule them
ahead of time, and then we see a song as
ending and we say, oh, we've got X number of
minutes to talk before we go into commercials, so we
kind of time it out. But sometimes David Insider tip,
we ignore everything and we just talk.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Don't tell our boss.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
I mean, we should get any commercials at a certain time,
but sometimes we just like the conversation we're having, like
the one with you and oops were late now yeah, and.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
I love it, and I bet all listen, I including myself,
love the wait you guys is interaction and your topics,
and we all appreciate you guys being on the air.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Oh, David, that's so nice, very nice of you to.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
Say thank you directly and tell him. Oh yeah, I
will tell him that we appreciate it, but I'll leave
out the part that you preposially go over.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Okay, David, that's a great we would really appreciate. All right, David,
have a good day. Thank you for listening, all right,
and you guys have a good one too, Alright to
buy court. You realize that our boss might be listening.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I realized that now.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Actually I get the feeling that he doesn't listen to us,
and that is at times concerning and other times.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Or and hear me out, Okay, he's like David and
enjoys us when we talk.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I don't land bo, no, I don't okay, all right,
I think that's just David Okay, it's ask us anything.
We do it every weekday morning here at seven twenty five, it's.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
DHT here on ninety eight point one The Breeze, The
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's eight ten on
a Monday morning.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
It is And I mentioned a minute ago that I
got an invitation to something that I need a little
bit of help help with on how to handle this situation.
I have some lovely neighbors. I love them so much. Yes,
they have a two year old. Well, he's turning two,
and they have sent me an invitation to.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
His birthday party, second birthday party.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
This is a two for for me.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Did we not have this same conversation a year ago
when you were invited to his first week birthday party?

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Probably did? I've already forgotten the advice, and here we
are again. There's a couple of problems.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Number one, he's two. Yeah, and I don't have kids,
So a two year old to me is like that
I cannot relate in any way, shape or form. But
it's fine. I can I can get. I'm happy to
get a gift. Sure, he is a really cute kid,
and I do love the parents so much. But the
other thing is they are my neighbors. So if I
say no to this, like I can't make it sorry,

(14:17):
and they see me coming and going from the house
and just be hanging out of the house, I almost
have to go. Here's the other problem. They're younger than
I am. People my age don't have two year olds now,
so all the friends are going to be like younger
and super cute. And then I'm like the old neighbor
that comes over with the gift and doesn't know anyone.

(14:37):
So it's this weird situation.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
What time of day is the party planned? One pm? Okay,
well I think that works in your favor because you've
and is it on weekend?

Speaker 1 (14:47):
It's on Labor Day?

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Oh yeah, I know, Yeah, that is a help. It
was like a Saturday, I know, but like Labor Day.
It's not like you go, I got an appointment at
the bank. I know that's not happening. I gotta be honest.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I RSV p'e and said yes, can't wait to celebrate.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
And then I'm like, I think I made it worse. Listen,
so I think, what I'm gonna do?

Speaker 4 (15:11):
You do?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Drop it? You just I'm gonna do a drop it
and I think I'm gonna go early.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yes, I think I'm gonna go early and just be like,
I have something this afternoon. But I wanted to swing by.
I could not come by and say happy birthday. Here's
a gift, make the appearance, drop up the gift. You
can walk back across the street. They're not even gonna
think twice about you. They made no no, I hope
they don't in this case. Like the great thing is
I can like do an Irish goodbye because there's gonna

(15:36):
be enough people I can. I didn't even have to
pick up a set of keys to get out of there.
I just see myself out.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
And at two years old, two years old, you're starting
he's this it's a it's a boy, right, yeah, he's
starting to have make friends of his own if he
goes to like daycare already sort of. I don't know,
he might start because when the one, the one your
birthday is tough because they can't do anything. They can't
do anything, they really don't have any friends. So there
it's more of an adult centered thing. Now you're starting

(16:04):
to get kids there, you are secondary to all of this, Carolyn.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I think your plan is great. Okay, the drop in
the quick Hello. I hope there's a bunch of other kids.
There are words I've never said out loud, but I
hope for this reason there's a ton of kids there,
so I can just whoop.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I think you'll be able to do it sooner than
you even think.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Okay, so you think, go do the drop in, drop
off the gift, and.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Then you're out of the now. Yeah. Maybe maybe if
there's some flicious food, help yourself. I mean I might.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
If they have like Injeladas, like they do Injeladas, is
that a birthday party thing?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
It could be Okay, Okay.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Problem solved.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
I think thank you.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Think you're good to go, feel amazing. If anybody has
any other advice, we'd love to hear it. Eight seven
seven nine eight one nine eight one. Send us a
talk back with our iHeart Radio app as well. Here's
some advice for you. Stick around because coming up later
this hour eight p fifty, we're going commercial free, which
means ninety eight minutes of non stop, commercial free, relaxing
favorite We've got music for you from Brenda Kay Starr.

(16:59):

my favorite songs from the Backstreet Boys coming up you Rhythmics,
Bruno Mars, lots of relaxing favorites commercial free at eight
point fifty this morning. Be here for that on the
