pretty great.

That's cool, and we were just talking this morning. This
is a total side note, but about Diana Ross headlining

maybe it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Do what I'm gonna do here, what I'm gonna go

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Laughing?
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Oh, they always say that laughter is the best medicine.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
True, but that medicine helping with stress. You tell me,
Court and you tell Cheryl, Well, I think laughter does
reduce stress a little bit. But that is not the answer.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Drinking wine would have been next.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Drinking girl. Now we're talking.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Now you are.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Talking, Okay. I like both of those together. What a
night if you're doing both at the same time. Neither
of those are correct. The correct dancer. According to the study,
the best activity to reduce stress is to dance. Oh dancing?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Oh yes, are you a dancer, Cheryl? Like, are you
that person?

Oh yet?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Oh yes, definitely.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
I'm trying to find the best venue for New Year's
Eve to go dancing?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Had a girl?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Where do you live?
Speaker 4 (02:42):

what I'm thinking. Like I'm gonna point Cheryl out to
the place to go, and I'm in bed by eight
o'clock on New Year's Eve, so I'm just wasting.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
And I don't dance, so I can't help.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Yes, Hi, Carolyn, I'm Mishka. I listen to your show
every morning. I want to know would you rather drink
four hundred cups of hot chocolate or be wrapped around
the Christmas tree?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
You wrap around the tree.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Miska, thank you first of all for the talk back
totally and thank you for listening.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I love would you rather a question?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I love would you rather questions too? Yeah, so okay,
four hundred let's work this out.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Four hundred cups of hot chocolate us or being wrapped
up around the Christmas tree.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I feel like I need more detail on how the
wrapping am I am? I standing against the tree and
you're taking paper and wrapping me around the tree so
I can't move.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Like you're wrapped into the tree, circular, wrapped up like
a box under the tree. Four hundred cups of hot choky,
That's that's the thing. My mind says, Go the hot chocolate,
because you can't go wrong with hot chocolate. But four
hundred cups becomes torture.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
I have this thing where if I eat one piece
of chocolate, I get sits on my nose.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, line up, boys, can.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
You imagine what four hundred cups of honcho would do
to my nose or just you have to remove.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
It, just to your body in general? Four hundred cups
of anything.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Wrap me around the tree, mishikah, that's what I'm going with, court.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I think I'm gonna go with that as well. Wrap
me around the tree.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
But then all the needles on the tree would be
like pocony in.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
The back We put up our tree a couple of
weeks ago, and my hands were because we have an
artificial but it's still very scratchy. Yes, they were tore
up for days.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Oh my gosh. I helped put up my friend's mother's
tree every year. We did it a couple of weeks ago,
and artificial as well. And one of the branches somehow
cut my wrist and it itched so bad.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Scratches. Well, you can't see a bit. Yeah, somebody needs
to invent Oh, I guess I could have worked. There
is the world's smallest violin. But that was a great
talk path, that's a great assw So we are both
again opting for the second option of being wrapped into
the tree. Wrap us up, mishkah, and thank you for
the talkback. It's ask us anything.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Oh my gosh, she hasn't seen him in two years.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
Yes, my husband's childhood friend. Yes, he lost his fans
at a very young age and was an only child,
so he's kind of like the only person he really
keeps in touch with from back to the end.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
So what is that like for you that you're taking
this big trip. Your husband's going to see his friend. Yeah,
the trip is mainly for him. Yeah, so you're like

the cutest. I love road trips, I know I didn't.
When we were talking to her, you could hear the
road noise made me want slim Gyms and coke earras,
the ultimate road trips.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
I still do not understand if there's something everybody needs
to know about Carolyn mccartl, your fat, your love and
fascination of slim Gyms. Just it befuddles me.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
No, I don't know what it is. They're so good.
My friend Sandy sent me ready for this. She found
it at a gas station. No shocker, a slim Gym
candy cane. It's a candy cane, plastic candy cane, full
slim Gym.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
But here's the thing. When it comes to you in
slim Gym's road trips, obviously it's a it's a given. Yeah.
But just like a regular Thursday.
Speaker 1 (09:24):

you to win tickets every day this week eight oh five,

It's Elton John in your song Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Cords seven twenty eight, and we do this every
(10:11):
weekday morning at this time. We hope you'll learn a
little something from it. It's called The More You Know
and it is sponsored by our friends at the San
Francisco Symphony.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
So as I tease you, Carolyn, there is one article
of clothing the experts say you should never wear twice
in a row. You had a guess. I feel like
it's got to be socks. Is it socks? Socks. It's
gotta be socks. You can get away with wearing a
pair of jeans multiple times without washing, even a hoodie
of sweater, but maybe even a T shirt. What about underwear?
(10:43):
That wasn't it? Is that a given? That's a given? Okay?
The socks you should never do. According to scientists and pediatrists,
they generally recommend that changing your socks daily is the
way to go because re wearing them creates a warm,
moist environment. Wow, perfect for bacteria and funk.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Guy, I mean this is no surprise, now, Okay, why
is there any just ask one thing?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Why is there any hesitation in your voice?
Speaker 5 (11:10):
Right?
Speaker 2 (11:11):
What if there's no caveat here? Okay, So I have
some house socks. We'll call them right, what if come
on court? Nope, I only put them on at night?
Speaker 1 (11:22):
No, okay, wait, no, okay, Let's say hypothetically, I put
my house socks on at like six pm after I
take a shower, and I go to bed at eight pm.
All I'm doing is sitting on the couch with my
socks on. Do I have to wash those socks the
next day?
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Or could I let them go for the entire week
and wear them every night for I will tell you this,
I technically don't know because you are wearing those for
two hours, and I have to admit my wife does
the exact same thing.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Thank you, Randy.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Bitter night socks she puts she calls them her cozy socks. Yeah,
cozy socks. Yeah, in the hours is leading up to bedtime.
There's no sweating. I'm not They're not in a shoe.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
And if you do the math two hours a night
times five days a.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Week, I'm still not a fan. I think the second
that those socks hit your feet, which is one of
the sweatiest places of the body. According to a recent study,
socks harbor millions of microbes after one wearing. So let
me ask you this, before you put on those night socks,
are you showering, Yes, so you're going absolutely, you're coming
(12:30):
out of the shower putting on in the night sock
stright to my house socks. Yep. But then but you're
wearing them for two hours and then you're putting them
were where do they go on my nightstand? You're just
putting them on your night stand. Let's start washing our
socks every single day. Scientists agree re wearing socks is
(12:52):
not good again, a microbial hot spot, bacterial overgrowth, high bacteria,
microbial hell.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
I get it, it's bad risk of infection, Carolyn. More importantly,
where does Randy put her night socks? They typically did
They do not go on top of the night stand.
They typically like.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Like an area of the closet. They just kind of
go down on the floor. They might actually get put
up on a shelf in the closet. But there's there's
no kind of rhyme or reason. Oh this is so funny. Okay,
well it's like this is those socks.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
This is seven more you know works, we all learn
a little something. We're at eight seven seven, eight one,
nine eight one. That that talkback mic on our iHeartRadio app.
Always an option for you to send us a message
when it's convenient for you and stay with us because
coming up at eight oh five this morning, your first
chance to win those Ed Sheeron tickets this morning.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, we're doing this three times a day this week
eight oh five, ten oh five, four oh five year
chance to see Ed Sheeron at Levi Stadium on July
twenty fifth. So join us eight oh five here on
the morning breeze. It's The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.
We were talking just minutes ago. Expert agree you should
always wear fresh socks every single day.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I wear a pair of cozy night socks every night
only for two hours. Have multiple nights in a row, right,
I don't sweat in them.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
This is concerning.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I feel like it's fine. Michelle and ANTIOK, good morning.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
In a couple of their So maybe you only wear
them two times and then they go in the washing.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Is a great suggestion, And I think I think Carolyn's
gonna take it to heart, aren't you, Carolyn?
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I am, but it seems like this is probably.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
I'll I'll have the conversation with her. Yes, asign me
like Michelle.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Is concerned, and take Carolyn with you.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
It's The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. We're on
the hunt for Color number twenty to win these ed
sharing contract tickets. Congratulations, you are Color twenty.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Yay.
Speaker 3 (14:52):

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I'm gonna take my daughter and I How fun.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Oh, you guys will get the best pictures that it's
gonna such a special night between the two of you.
Speaker 2 (15:02):

favorites too. Well, Dorothy, we've got two tickets for you,

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I have a friend I was just thinking about this
whose family court still calls her by her nickname. Her
name is Erin, but her family calls her Muffin. That
was her nickname in elementary school. Yeah too, but everybody
still calls her muffin. And I was thinking, like, we
all have nicknames, some you know, have developed later on
(15:55):
in life. Sure a lot of us have, like our
kid nicknames. Did you have a nickname as.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
A child, Well, my my grandfather gave all of the
grandkids on that side of the family nicknames. What's yours?
So I actually had had two. I was I was
carrot top, I'm a redhead. No, I was also firehead,
because I'm a red head.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
That's not a nice nick name.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
It was fine, it was fine. It was in love.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
So your grandpa would be like, hey, firehead.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Carrot top. Yeah, my gosh, I think he started with firehead,
but then I eventually just became carrot Top. My younger brother,
I'd shared this just the other day. His name is Jerry.
He became jere Bear, and we all refer to him
every now and then still as j Bear. That's what
about you. It was your nickname.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
My dad gave me the nickname when I was young.
My middle name is Jean, and so when I was young,
my dad called me Carolyn Jean the jellybean queen. I mean,
my mom likes jelly beans.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
I don't really care.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
They're fine, But I don't know how I became Carolyn
Jean the jelly bean.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
I think you know, it's it's the evolution of the nickname,
because we did the same thing with my daughter Sloan,
who became eventually slow and then she became Slowney baloney.
Oh that's cute, and then it became Slowey blooney loves Macaroni.
While riding on a pony Wow. We called her so
slooney baloney so much that by the time she got
into school, she was convinced beloney was her middle name.
(17:15):
No way, yeah, that's her name is Lilian. But oh,
I didn't know that that's beautiful. She thought it was blooney.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
We had a guy we went to school with and
we called him stink and Lincoln poor, and I don't
even know his name, poor Lincoln, No Lincoln. I think
his first name is Steve, but I don't know. I
only knew he was stinking Lincoln and he lived at
the house on the corner.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
I tried to get a nickname in high school because
I have All my friends had pretty cool names. Oftentimes
it was a variation of their last name, but like
Johnson and I say yea. So I was like, my
initials are CJ. So I'm like, call me the Siege.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
You try to give yourself.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Tell all my friends call me the Siege.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I just realized that your Courtney Joe, You're CJ, and
I'm Carolyn Gene, I'm a se We're both cjs.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
We could rename the show. We could be the Sieges.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
No, I don't want to be the Siege, all right,
We're at eight seven seven one, nine eight one. If
you have a great nickname story, we would love to
hear it. You can also send it to us with
our iHeartRadio app that talk back mic on our app.
