(00:21):
is such a specific number on this question. Yeah, well
it's because you know, a university did this study and
they found that doing this particular thing during a conversation
will make a person forty seven percent more likable.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I'm also very curious to know what this answer is.
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. We
should let you know. You can use our talkback with
our iHeartRadio app as well to send us your guesses.
Roger in Redwood City, you're at first what do you think?
And the answer is to the brain tease, be sincere,
since be sincere, be sincere.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, socere and honest and not feel important because I
do a lot of sales, you know, door to door.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, so I.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Talk to a lot of people and I treat the
people like I like to be treated.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Oh that's nice.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I'll bet you're a good salesman.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, I've been doing that a long time.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yes, what do you sell door to door? I don't
see a lot of door to door sales people anymore.
What are you selling?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Internet? Cable and telephone? Snip coupetisue? So we have to
go knock on doors and speak to a lot of people.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, Oh that's a tough gig. I bet you're really
good at that.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I have been doing it for forty years.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Yeah, yeah, that is impressive.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
So Roger, I think you're on the right track. But
that's not the answer we're looking for today. But we
sure have enjoyed talking to you this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
You folks are really nice and I really appreciate it.
I listened on my family just this year. Show a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
We appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Thank you, Mike. Pleasure to speak to both of you folks.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
That's so kind.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Seriously, make it a good day, all right, Michelle and Antioch.
You've got to guess what do you.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Think the person in the eye.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, eye contact is so important because when you don't
do that, it definitely throws you off your why.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Are you not looking at person?

Speaker 4 (02:10):
They think they they're not listening to me. You know,
I'm sitting here talking and they're all one to the
place I don't want to say, like you've got to
share into their body their souls. Yeah, look at them
and engage in the conversation.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I also feel like it's a power move to look
somebody in the earth.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Sure, Okay, no, my mom, Yes, I like your answer.
It's just not the right answer. Here's the correct answer.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Saying the other person's name during a conversation makes you
forty seven percent more likable. You are close. Exactly right, Michelle,
It's exactly right, Michelle.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Oh, hey, say what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
See what I'm doing there? Am I likable? Michelle? Stop
saying her name?

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Well?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Okay, yeah, saying the name?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Okay, yeah, Michelle, thanks for calling it.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Stop it, bye, It's not that big of a deal, Carolyn,
stop it. It's morning breeze brain teas, and.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I do have to quickly here. Admit remembering people's names
when I first meet them is one of my weaknesses.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I was gonna say, if you're going to say it's
a strong suit, I'm gonna call you all on that
right now.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Evansno, Heavan's no. But again, imagine how much better of
a person I would be if I would remember.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, but if you say too much, it's annoying. You're right, Carolyn,
stop it. Morning Breeze Brain Teas. We do it every
weekday morning at six twenty, and coming up this morning
at seven forty, we have a chance for you to
go see Air Supply.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
That's right, they are back in the Bay Area. In fact,
I want to point this out. They were in the
Bay Area this past weekend. They were in Oakland performing.
I love that they're coming back to the San Jose
Civic February thirteenth. They always seem to hit the Bay
Area around Valentine's Day. They do, and they they love
performing at the San Civic. And I was thinking about

(04:01):
all of the hits that Air Supply has.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I mean, stop it. They have so many hits. They're
so good in concert. They sound great. I saw them
recently and they were fantastic. So be here at seven
forty your chance to win those tickets on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Breeze.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
It's Patrick Swayze.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
She's like the win the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
With Carolyn and Court at six thirty nine, and it
is time for ask us anything eight seven seven nine,
eight one oh nine eight one is how you.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Reach us yep. And you can also send us a
talk back with your questions. Yes, you use the free
iHeartRadio app. When you do that, you can send it
to us also using like direct messaging through Facebook or Instagram.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
There are many ways to reach out, as Court's play.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Email is another way. Carry your pigeon. All right, you
could send a letter.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Well, we did get a letter today. Came from Alison
and courtA Madeerra. Now here's a question to our North
Bay friends, I say Court to Madera. My friend Kira
says Corda Madeira. So I'm not quite sure because I'm
reading what Allison wrote.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Is that today's question?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well, no, that's not a question. The question came from
Alison in court of Madeira Madera. If you had a
time machine, would you go back in time or would
you go into the future?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Interesting question.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I think I would go back in time. I'd like
to revisit some things.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yeah, in your own life. Yeah, okay, would you what
would you do? I would go back in time as well.
I think that's the obvious. That's the great thing to do.
You can go back and see the world the way
it was before. I'm so curious to know, like how
the Bay Area looked a hundred years ago. Yes, it
would be so great to see the Bay Area before

(05:49):
the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge went up.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
It'd be amazing.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I just that stuff just fascinates me. So I live
out in the East Bay.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
There's a road called Treat Boulevard goes through Wallet Creek
Conquered and that I know used to be orchards right
way back in the day. And to see what that
actually would look like compared to what it is now
would be incredible. I have spent hours looking at just
old photographs of San Francisco from one hundred, one hundred

(06:19):
and fifty years ago. That's I think that's one of
the great things san Francisco being kind of the in
the Bay Area, being kind of what it was like
a major port. Yeah, a lot of photographs, a lot
of old photographs come from way back when. Yeah, so
you can kind of go back in time, but you
really have no idea how it was.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
Well.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
And here's the other thing with Allison's question going into
the future, for me would scare me. I'm afraid to
know what's ahead. And I don't mean like something bad's
going to happen, but like the technology would be so advanced.
I don't want to know that, like robots are ruining
the world, and I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I don't want to get nerdy here, but I think
according to like people who do, but like scientists who
actually believe the time travel is actually potential, going to
the future is the actual the only way you can
actually time travel.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
You can't go back yeah time, Yeah, back in time.
Plus it's great Huey Thoist. Second, All right, listen, this
is a two parter because the second question, the second
part of this is is it Cord of Madeira or
Court of Madera.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I still don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Ask us anything. We do it every weekday morning at
six forty. You can always send us your questions anytime.
She did it, you know, through social media, like Court said,
many other ways to reach out to us.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
That question is also on our Facebook page. Today. You
can go and answer that question for yourself. You'd like
to weigh in absolutely what you would like to do.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Coming up in an hour from now, a chance for
you to go see air supply. February thirteenth, day before
Valentine's Day. They are going to be at the San
Jose Civic. May just be the most romantic night of
your life. And we're gonna pick up the bill for
those tickets. Yeah, be here at seven forty for your
chance to win on the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze

(07:52):
with Carolyn and court and ask us anything. A couple
of minutes ago we were talking to Allison, who's from
courtA Madeira. We're not sure is it courtA Madeira. That's
why my friend says it, or is it Courda Madeira?
Eloisa in San Mateo, good morning.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
I will say corte Madzia.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
That's the way I will Heara.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
I would think it's like a Spanish Spanish Yeah, mazra.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
The way you say this is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Can we just anytime we have to say that city
or that town, will just call you and how you
fill in the blank.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
There we go, then you go, then you go, Okay,
well let you go and as you like to have
a wonderful Christmas.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I called you again, you too, Eloisa. It was great
talking to you.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (08:39):

Speaker 6 (09:18):
I'm Miranda, and my good news that I would like
to share is that I found the man that I
was made for and we are engaged and we are
going to be getting married by the end of this moment.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
End of this month. Wow, that's sixteen days to pull
this's off.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Sounds so confident. That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
That's great to meet somebody be like, this is it.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
This is the person I'm supposed to be with. Yeah,
let's do this, I think especially as you get older
in life. And I don't know how old Miranda is sure,
but like you just kind of are like, Okay, I'm good.
I know this is where I'm supposed to be and
who I'm supposed to be with. If it's right, it's right, Miranda.
What's that feel like? Do you have any tips?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Carolyn?

Speaker 2 (09:58):
You have felt this feel at least twice before court, yes,
and the feeling was wrong. But Miranda, this is about
you and we are very happy for you. Seriously, that's awesome.
It is really great, especially the holidays so magical.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
I think back to the time. No, we actually don't
know the timeline here. We don't know how long Miranda
has known this somebody. But they're getting married by the
end of the end of December. Yeah. My grandparents met
each other and were married within three weeks. Really. Yes,
Now this is back in the I want to say,
the nineteen thirties, almost a hundred years ago.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
When you met Randy and you guys started dating. Did
you know like she's the one and before you Okay,
this is going to warn you might want to be careful,
but when you start with.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
No, it was just that was me just thinking back
because we've been married. It's we're coming up on twenty
one years in February, so crazy. And we dated for
three or four years before that.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Did you have a feeling when you started dating You're like,
this is my forever girl.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
I felt court forget to forget everything.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
No.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
No, I felt towards Rady, something I had never felt
towards anybody before.

Speaker 6 (11:13):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
She was I had never met anybody like her in
my life. Yeah, and I wasn't quite sure if it
was love or just like, like, who the heck is this? Oh,
that's so cute. We also worked in the same at
the same company. It was a radio station group in Utah,
and we were super competitive with each other.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Oh that's awesome though, I kind of like that. I suppose, yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
So it could go either way. There was a lot
of emotions mixed in there, and but it's been great.
It worked out.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Okay, Well, that's cute, all right, And Miranda, congratulations to you.
If you've got a brighter side for us, you can
send us a talk back like Miranda did with our
iHeartRadio app of course, call us at eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
And speaking of love, be sure to join us at
seven forty this morning, because if you haven't heard, air
Supply coming back to the Bay Area February thirteenth, performing
at the San Jose CIBEC.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
All out of Love, making love out of nothing at all,
that's all.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
I know. Their club We Love, They have other songs
they and they are celebrating fifty years as a band.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I know they are the best. Yeah, So Air Supply
tickets could be yours. Be here at seven forty this
morning on the Breeze, Well Steve Winwood Higher Love Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Cord seven twenty nine and it
is time for the More you Know, sponsored by the
San Francisco Symphony.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
So Carolyn, when it comes to fountains, I'm a huge
fan of chocolate fountains. Oh me too. Also, I'm a
huge fan of the rumored fountain of youth. Apparently chocolate
fountains are the fountain of youth.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
Chocolate fountains are good for you, like the ones that
you see at weddings. And Okay, I guess that's the
only place I've seen them Vegas.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I had one at a going away party you did
for you for me years and years ago when we
were in Utah and we were moving. I threw myself
a party nobody else was going to, and so we
had a cho and you were like, I gotta have
a chocolate chocolate. I'm not mad at that, Okay. Anyway,
as long as that chocolate is dark. We've long heard
that dark chocolate is good for you. You can have a

(13:20):
little bit every day and it's good for you. Sure well,
scientists have actually found that people with the bitter compound
found in chocolate. It's called theobromine.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Thank you, doctor John.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
You know that again, if they have that in your blood,
it shows younger looking DNA markers over the study that
they did with like two thousand people.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
So this is dark chocolate only.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Dark chocolate only.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
That's the stuff that you live longer because it has
this compound exactly right.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Yeah, that's encouraging. So that little bit bit of a
dark chocolate that you've been eating, because I think like
helps with blood pressure is one of the things that
it's good for longevity.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
I'm not a huge dark chalk fan, are you? What
do you have in your fountain? I would be milk chocolate,
of course. Okay, milk chocolate's best on everything, and that's
the one that's like, of course that's not as good healthy.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yeah, I think dark chocolate is more pure to the
co cow nut. That's it. What, that's what it's called.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
It's called the days Court. I work across from you,
and I just you are one of life's greatest joys
and one of life's greatest mysteries.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Anyway, if you're gonna if you want to get technical
about this, the observation study basically says the eating chocolate
alone doesn't necessarily slow aging. It only shows an association
between the two. Okay, and that's good enough for me.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, I mean you continue to support the theory that
dark chocolate is good for you, so keep it going,
and now you could actually live longer because of it.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Love it. Supposedly cow probably not really cow. That cow.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
We're at eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one. We do have a chance for you to
win those tickets. Go see air supply coming up in
just a few minutes. We'll do that at seven forty.

same time, seven pointy. Here on the Morning Breeze. It's
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and Kelly Clarkson
at eight o six.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
I told you I had something happen the other day,
a realization about something here at work.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Court.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Yeah, that kind of involves you, not so much, but
more just the radio station in general. Right, Do you
know what I'm about to tell you? Because we talked
about this off the year and you must have forgotten
I have.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yeah. No, Okay, we talk a lot about no, but.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
I'm saying you do know this. When I tell you,
You're gonna be like, oh, yeah, I discovered the other
day that the Breeze is not following me on social media.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
I have worked here since the beginning, and the beginning
was almost ten years ago. Yeah, And I was on
Facebook or something and I'm like, wait, the Breeze isn't
following me. Yeah, and I just I followed myself then
from the Breeze account, which is a new level of
low conversation with yourself. No, I didn't comment on my

(17:01):
own stuff with the Breeze. No, I did not do that.
But there was this moment where I'm hitting follow on
myself from the Breeze page and then I thought I
should tell somebody about this, but then I'm like, nobody
really works here, you know, since the pandemic, Like, I
don't even know who I would go to to to
register that complaint. Right, Yeah, I think I think the

(17:21):
Breeze follows my wife. That was probably me, but I
just never went over to my own pain. Is the
Breeze following you? Maybe I should probably look old up? Yeah,
there's okay, there's a chance that you may have to
follow yourself.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
So this was on Facebook.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, but I think everybody's had that thing happened at work.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
That moment happened at work.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Where you are you realize something about your company that's
so obvious, but you had no idea the entire time.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Are we following you? I just thought you checked. It
was gonna take me too long.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
We're following you. I'm sure when you were new I
followed you. It's the right thing to do. But yeah,
so well, I will say this, whether whether the Breeze
is following you or not, there is a benefit if
you are following the Breeze on different social media platforms
because sometimes we do secret contests at chances we can
win stuff no other time. Last week, we gave you
some Ed Shearer and concert tickets. I don't think we

(18:16):
have anything going on right now, but it's just one
of the many great reasons for you to follow the
Breeze on. There's many great reasons, and we are super
active on social and you know, well now I got
one more followed this week thanks to the Breeze. Look
I am, I just checked. We're following you, we'rewing.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
You're you're better at the Internet than me. It's fine.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
We're at eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
Find us on social media.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Follow us.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
We'll give you a follow back. That'll be me in
court following you. That's right, yes, And coming up later
this hour at eight fifty, we are going to be
commercial free here on the Breeze.
