All Right, research shows that workplaces that smell like this
tend to have more productive workers.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
All right.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one is
how you reach us with your guesses? Of course, you
can always send us a talk back with our iHeartRadio app.
We've got James in Fremont. Good morning. What do you
think the answer is? Oh man, this is good bad,
but I almost say popcorn, popcorn what a bonus to
hire on with a company that gives you pop.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Oh yeah, they do that here once in a while.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Are you Are you allowed to say where you work?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Can I say this? A big factory in Freemont?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Okay, Okay, I know you're talking about It would have
been funny if you had said I work at home
like someone every.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Day, you know, you go into those like mechanics or
tire shops. Oftentimes they'll have like a little popcorn machine.
So where are you going they do? Oh yeah, some
of the tires and leshchwabs.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Yeah, they feel like you.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
If they give you some popcorn, you won't you won't
remember that you're about to shell out all kinds.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Of times.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Accurate. Yep, Oh that's great.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I love popcorn. I love the smell of popcorn. Unfortunately,
it's not the right answer.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
All right, James, Thanks, enjoy your holiday.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
To buy Sue in Santa Rosa. Good morning.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
What's your guess?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Goods? Cakes?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Cookie boy? That would be tough to work in that environment.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Man, I was thinking about this other day. I can
never be a baker. No, that'd be sampling the stuff NonStop.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
There'd be no profit.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, and the weight game would be terrible.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Is bake goods it? Because I really like that answer.
That's not it, great guests, man, I like your answer though.
That sounds heavenly. We should do a little bit of
that in this room.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Maybe maybe we should do this other thing. We should
do the actual thing that makes you productive, which is
make your workplace smell like Lemons.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I'll take the bake goods, Lemons.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Damn taking the bake goods.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I'm gonna smell a citrus when you walk through the door.
Make you more productive apparently.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Oh my gosh, well, Sue, that was fun. Thanks for calling.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Okay, talk to you later.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Talk to you later. You know, I came in the
other day and somebody had brought in you know how
they sell the cinnamon pine cones for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Scent scented pine cones.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
It smelled so good in here for three days. Make
it went away.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, but it probably didn't make you feel productive. It
kind of makes you a cozy up and sit.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
By a fire. It just smelled good in here. Drink
some hot cocoa.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Wish we could have those year round. We need it.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I don't know when it's like summer and you're smelling
pine cones, cinnamon, pine cones. Yeah, it just doesn't. But
lemon is good year round. I don't know it makes
you productive.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
It reminds me of like Cleaning Supplies, where they forced
the lemon smell to cover up the cleaning shirply smell.
So clearly, we could talk about this forever and it's
very riveting, but we're gonna move on all right. Coming
up this morning at seven forty, we have more chances
for you to go see Air Supply who are coming
to town in February.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, the show is February thirteenth. It's happening at the
San Jose Civic and we would love to send you
for free. So join us seven point forty your chance
to win here on the Morning Breeze brees Nellie Fortanto
at six forty one. Here on ninety eight point one
the Breeze. Good morning, You've got the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court and it's time now for ask us anything.
A chance for you to call into the show and

(04:16):
ask anything that might be on your mind. You can
call us eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
You can also send us your questions using the talkback
feature on our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
That is actually how today's question came in. It's a
talk back off of our app.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Hey, this is for the Morning Show. My name is Jill.
I live in Berkeley and I'm a huge fan. I
wanted to submit a question for the ask Us Anything.
My question is, tell me something horrible that has happened
to you on vacation. For example, my friends just got
back from Egypt and they both got food poisoning from

(04:51):
drinking the water. So tell me your story.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I love. Oh wow. Normally it's like that, tell us
something really great that happened. No, this is like, what's
the worst thing that's ever happened on occasion? Well, I'm
going to go along the food poisoning route.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I went to Mexico with a group of girls when
we were in our twenties maybe maybe thirties, and we
went out for pizza, as you do in Mexico, and
we came back to the house and one person started
feeling sick, and then another person started feeling sick, and
we literally sat around all night waiting to see who

(05:27):
got it. It was food poisoning from the pizza place,
and so it was like if you had the pepperoni
you were going to get sick, and you had a
veggie you were going to be fine. So we're trying
to figure it out. The whole night. It was like
just watching flies drop, like who's next? And you're just
watching thinking am I sick?

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Now?

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Do I feel sick? That was a rough time.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Interesting. Yeah, it feels like vacation horror stories typically generally
will be along the sick lines. Yeah. I did a
trip when I was in my early twenties to Italy
and I got the flu. Just kind of ruined the
entire vacation.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
That's awful.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
But my family, we're pretty fortunate. My in laws own
a little place in Mexico that we're able to go
down in vacation in and so I'm there at least
once a year, maybe every a couple of years, and
I've never ever gotten sick.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Have you ever had pizza?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
In Mexico? Okay, they do a pretty good job down there.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well, not the place, not the place, not the place
we went to. But a good question, that's fine, really
great question. No, that was that was fun to do
something that sad. Any question goes though, we will answer
literally any question. Send them on our talk back over
there I Heart Radio App. Call us eight seven seven

(06:41):
nine one nine eight one and.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Reminder coming up this morning at seven point forty, we've
got more tickets to see Air Supply, who are coming
back to the Bay February thirteenth at the San Jose Civic.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, they're celebrating fifty years together. They obviously have a
ton of hits in that band, so they will play
them all and you might be there. If you're here
at seven forty your chance to win a pair of
tickets on the Breeze. They are the Backstreet Boys. As
long as you Love Me seven oh six Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. Let's get right to the brighter
Side sponsored by Shreven Company, Luxury time pieces, find designers

(07:15):
and flawless diamonds, and you can reach us with your
brighter sides at eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one. Of course, this Court mentioned a minute ago.
You can always send us a brighter side with our
iHeart Radio App. We have that talkback microphone on our
app that makes it really easy for you to send
us a brighter side whenever it's convenient for you.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Exactly right anytime of day, if something pops into your
mind that you think qualifies as a brighter side, just
go ahead and take care of it.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
That is correct Court, and that's where our brighter side
actually comes from. Today is our iHeartRadio app a talkback.
I've got some good news. I won a power ball today.
What only five dollars. It's something better than nothing. That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Okay, So for those that are not paying attention to
this power ball last night was up to one point
two five billion dollars with a b yeah, and nobody
won it. That is insane except for this gentleman here
who won five to five dollars.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Do you play? Did you check your ticket?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I checked my tickets this morning and not a buss
do you didn't even get five bucks. I was convinced
that I was going to win one point five billion.
So yeah, So the drawing that happens on Saturday now
goes up to one point five billion dollars.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Wait, you just said one part.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
It was one point twenty five last night, one point
Now it goes up to one point five, and I think,
because there's a lot of time between now and Saturday,
it's going to go high. Probably going to be one
point six. Bye, it starts jumping like big time because
people play the power ball and the lottery. Yeah, at
those levels when it gets that high, much more than
they normally do.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Is this like in the top three of the highest
it's getting there? I don't. I know.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
There was one not too long ago, within the past
year that I think had reached two billion dollars. I mean,
any of this money is like life changing, but now
it's like ridiculousness.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
I think this weekend, with being that high, we're going
to see lines in front of liquor stores now, like
you're going to see people lined up for this one.
What is a big one take advantage of go buy
your tickets today.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah you know you don't.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Don't forget about it Saturday. Yeah, but man, congratulations on
a five bucks. That's more than you. Huh. That's a winner.
All right. If you've got a brighter side for u
s eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one
like he did, you could send us a talk back
with our iHeartRadio app and coming up later this hour
about thirty minutes away from your next chance to win
tickets to go see air supply when they're here in February.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah, it's not one point five billion dollars, but it's
pretty great. They're celebrating fifty years as a band. They're
back in the Bay Area February thirteenth at the San
Jose Civic and we would love to send you so
be here seven forty your chance to win on the Breeze.
It's music from ABBA at seven twenty six Here on
ninety eight point one the Breeze. Who've got the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Corda and it's time now for

(09:54):
the More you Know, sponsored by the San Francisco Symphony.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Tell me if you do this, you're watching TV on
the couch or you're in your big chair and you're
struggling to stay awake, can you say to yourself, I
might as well just go to bed. I'm so tired.
And then you go to bed and all of a sudden,
you're sitting or laying in bed and you're wide away.
They now say there is a reason for that, and
the reason is because you are starting over. The act

(10:22):
of actually standing up and walking to your bedroom causes
your mind to engage. So then you go to bed
and you've got to settle down all over again. So
they say that is why that happens. It's your mind engaging.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
And most people have like a nighttime routine. So if
you are, you know, calling it a night, you're brushing
your teeth, combing your hair, all those things you do
before you go to bed. Yeah, and so yeah, you're
waking yourself back up. Do you ever do that thing
where you feel like you're so tired and you need
to go to bed, but you don't want to wake

(10:58):
yourself up, so you tell yourself, yeah, stay tired.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Do you do that? Or am I the only one
that does that?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
You're the only one that does that?

Speaker 1 (11:04):
I really, I don't think I've ever said to myself
court stay tired. It's not like I say it out loud.
I just think, like, stay tired.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Here's one thing I have. Either I've learned to do
this or I'm just really lazy, is that if I'm
falling asleep on a chair or a couch, I just
go to bed. I just sleep right there. Oh and
then I will wake up when I wake up, like
im Sure Randy loves that.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Actually, she probably loves that. Sure, just get to bed
to herself. Yeah, all right, it's the more you know,
we do it every weekday. Morning here at seven twenty
five on the morning Breeze. Man, we're just a couple
of minutes away from another chance for you to win.
Those tickets. Is the Air Supply when they're in town
in February.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah, two tickets up for grabs, fifty eight years of
air supply. You get to celebrate with them at the
San Jose Civic.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
It's actually fifty years. What did I say, fifty eight
fifty fifty? I mean they're going to go fifty eight,
but right now they're celebrating fifty. It's a big number,
fifty years of air supply. You cele writing with them
at the San Jose Civic February thirteenth. So join us
minutes from now seven forty your chance to win on
the Breeze. Hi, Good morning the Breeze.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Congratulations you are collar ten.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Wow, amazing name.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
I'm too excited.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Well, we're excited for you. You're going to see air
supply exactly right. Great, tell us who you are?

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Where are you calling from?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Elizabeth Hahna and calling from Sharatoka.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Well, we've got a couple of tickets for you. You're
gonna go see air supply. They're playing the San Jose
Civic on February thirteenth. It's courtesy of Neederland Or Concerts.
Tickets on sale now at ticket Master. But Elizabeth, if
it's okay with you, we'd like to pay for your tickets.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Oh we thought you'd think that was our right. She's
not gonna argue with that, and we've got another chance
for you to win tomorrow morning. Seven forty more air
supply tickets here on the breeze.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
All right, thank you.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Happy holidays, Elizabeth, Holidays, Happy holiday for you too.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Okay, bye. That's one of those songs that you don't
want it to end, right, such a vibe. Eight o
eight Morning Breeze. Carolyn and Court, good morning. Tell me
about your wife, Randy. She was boasting, Yes, she was bragging,
if you will, I was a little bit. So we
were out Christmas shopping just the other day and twice

(13:15):
during the night. We were at them all like we're
at Sephora, get your makeup, all your stuff and stuff.
She started she started like having random conversations with just strangers,
just like not just like little like I don't know,
just randomly they just started talking to her, and they

(13:35):
would carry on conversations and so suddenly I'm just like,
what is going on. She's like, I don't know, people
just love to talk to me all the time, or
just in that moment, all the time. Okay, people just
just love to talk to me. And I know she
was kind of being a little you know, she was
kind of saying that in a joking way a little bit.
But we we once we got done shopping, we went
to get some sushi. We went to one of those

(13:57):
conveyor belt sushi places. Oh the boats, yeah, this conveyor belt.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh yeah, uh but same idea.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Okay, the pad is in front of you.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
We sit down. There's this couple sitting next to us,
next to Randy, my wife, and almost two minutes into
a seating sushi, this man says to us, to my
wife specifically, you come here often? Oh no, okay, So
I'm like, what is going on? And but then he
wouldn't stop talking to us like he wanted us to.
He's like, there's like, yeah, we've been here at a

(14:28):
time or two. And then he's like, have you tried
the muscles?

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Know?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
What is going on with this? So what's going on?

Speaker 2 (14:34):
I can't figure out there is something about my wife's
demeanor that just is encouraging people to just strike up
conversations with her. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to eat some sushi.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Court. You are a no talker. You I guarantee what happens.
Let me break down what happens. And Randy is gonna
be like Carolyn, thank you. Anywhere we go people you
don't talk. You sit there and then the person like
Randy or me, your wives have to do the talking,
and then you're just kind of quiet. So I think

(15:06):
that they would engage with you too, But you're a
no talker.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
It's not entirely true. I just there's something about my
wife that just really encourages, encourages friendly and outgoing. Yeah,
but this was this is just random, out of the blue.
We literally sit down, we start, you know, you get
your chop chicks, you break them apart, you know what
you do with the scratchy things so you don't get
any slivers, not scritch, scratch, And then almost instantly he
says to us, you come here often, okay, and then

(15:31):
starts talking about these muscles and and they're just having
this conversation. Fortunately, I was further away, so I didn't
have to.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
It's too much there it is. So what did you
do when when Randy turned and answered do you come
here off? And what did you do? I said?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
I said, yeah, I helped listen. I was part of
this conversation. But the words out, yeah, we come here
at time or two, and then I went back to eating.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
That's it, that's it we saw.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
It still does not explain.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Randy just texted me and said, thank you.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
This still does not explain why everybody wanted to talk
to my wife. Everybody wanted to talk to her.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
I think we all know the answer, everybody listening, and clearly, Randy,
everyone knows the answer except for you. It's because you
don't engage. But it's fine. You're just you're just cut,
You're just quiet, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're
enjoying yourself.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Show looking for people to engage with me. I'm just
wondering why they want to talk with my wife.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Okay, all right, we're at eight seven seven nine eight one,
nine eight one. You can catch us on social media anytime.
Send us a message at ninety eight one of the Breeze.
While we are on the subject of court, I should say.
Please go to our Facebook. On our Instagram, we posted
a picture this morning of Court's outfit today, which you did,
one of us did, and it's cute. He's got me.

(16:45):
He's got a Santa track suit on. So if you
would like to see the pictures, check those out on
our page. I look you look great. See Randy? Yep,
she said Amen. At ninety eight won the Breeze. It's
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and kord So and his
wife Randy were out the other day and he noticed
everybody's talking to Randy.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Everybody everywhere she went, somebody wanted to talk to her,
just randomly, out of the blue.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
And I think it's because you're quieter, you're less engaging
with people. I was more outgoing.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
My wife was not engaging with anybody either. They just
wanted to talk to her.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
We're trying to figure out what is happening here. Wesson conquered,
good morning.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I'm the talker, I am the social butterfly. So context,
was it like an older man.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
No, this was a younger fellow, probably in his thirties,
with his either his girlfriend or his wife.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
I'm very friendly, like I'll pop to the brief, I'll
talk to the guy or the gal behind the counter
at the grocery store. I enjoyed those little bursts of
interaction with random people. It's great. But if he even
recognize hues or going like hey, we're eating or we're done,
you know, that's kind of on him. But anyways, you
guys take care of yellownags.
