Speaker 1 (00:18):
You are welcome.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I'm going to take a guess and say that you
maybe set your alarm to wake up to win a tree.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Yes, that's a really good guess. Yeah, you're like a
psychic over there. Carolyn paid off for you. Since you're
such a psychic. Who are we talking to, Carolyn?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I think this is Anne and Gilroy. I don't know
it's your name.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
That would have been amazing though.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Oh I'm so not close, so not close. Well, congratulations,
a full size Christmas tree for you. It is our
goal to try and take the stress out of your holidays.
We do this every hour on the hour, as you know,
because you've set your alarm, Sandra, from six in the
morning till six at night. Thank you Premiere one credit
Union for making this happen again for us this year.
So your next chance. I know you just woke up, Sandra,

(01:11):
but if it's every hour on the hour from six
to six. One is your next chance to win? Seven
A not if it's going to be a good day.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
No, okay, thank you, you're right, Happy holidays, thank you,
and coming up next here on the Morning Breeze. We've
got the Morning Breeze brain Teas. Here's today's question. A
new study about youth sports says that participation in basketball
is growing the most.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
So it's number one, okay, basketball number one.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I want to know what is number five on the list?
Number five? Yeah, two would be too easy, all right?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one
is how you reach us with your getting the Eagles
with Hotel California. Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's
six twenty one. Good morning, let's get right into it.
The Morning Breeze brain Teas sponsored by My Counsel Plumbing.
You're in clean hands with My Council Plumbing. You can
see them online mc plumbing dot com.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
All right, So, a new study about youth sports says
that participation in basketball is growing the most. So it
is number one on the list. Okay. What I want
to know is what is number five on the list?
So tricky? Okay?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Eight seven seven nine oh nine eight one. That's how
you call us with your guesses. Of course, you can
always send us a message with our iHeartRadio app. Just
use that microphone on the app. All you have to
do is speak into it and that message slash guess
comes to us right away. Sue in Santa Rosa, Good morning.
What's your guest for this one?

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Okay, I'm just gonna because I saw a couple of
kids doing it the other day and I thought we
were the only ones that ever played in that sport
when I was in school, lacrosse cross.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
It's it's gotten huge. The kids love their lacrosse.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I think originally was more of like an Eastern States
kind of a yeah right, yeah, I think so along
with rugby. Well you might remember I'm from back East.
That's right, So it's very very much in your wheelhouse.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I feel like that's not the right answer though.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Anytime you hear court go hmmm, it's it's not the
right answer. All right, nice try, thanks for playing, so
you have a good day.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Bye bye.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Vicky in Healdsbro Good morning. What do you think the
brain teas answer is?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I'm guessing soccer because I have some nephews and a
few nieces that do soccer.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
That is definitely a sport that I have seen on
the rise.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Oh sure, I know the girls that you like to
play soccer too, And I was like, oh, that's good.
Whatever they like to play.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, as long as they're out there running around and
having fun and it's a team environmental, there's great sport
for that.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, that's what I tell my niece when she was
playing volleyball, and I said, you're having fun, right, it's
nice to win.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
But you're doing it because you like it and it's fun.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, soccer is not the correct answer. It's definitely in
the top five. But number five is actually volleyball. Oh
my gosh, Vicky, I didn't even know it. Volleyball number five.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And my niece, I said, she was playing volleyball.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
I feel like you get the win because you said
the word, even though you didn't submit that as your
answer officially.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
It's like it's a win adjacent. Yeah, it's like you
won with an astereg.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
They always say stick to your first gut. But then,
like I said, they play soccer two. But then my
niece was saying, oh, we didn't win, I said, but
you had fun.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
It's all about that team environment, competition, and as.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Long as you're happy and you like to play. It's
nice to win, but you're having fun.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Right, That's why I play. She played with a win win,
She's not.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Very happy about it, all right, Vicky, have a good one.
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Okay, you too, Audio.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Audios Morning Breeze Brain teas we do it every weekday
morning here at six twenty on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
And if you heard, just moments ago, Sondra was our
first full size christ Miss tree winner. As I think
of these away, Sandra, Okay, Sandra, Sandra, Potato Potato, Sorry, Sandra,
I apologize anyway. It's all part of our annual tradition
of taking the stress out of your holidays with these
full sized Christmas trees, doing this every hour from six
in the morning until six at night. So, as that

(05:16):
pointed out, Sandra, one, there are still twelve more chances
to win today.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yes, absolutely so you want to be here at seven
o'clock because that is going to be your next chance
to win a full sized Christmas tree here on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Breeze six forty one with Eric Carman here on ninety
eight point one the Breeze. You've got The Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court And if the Morning Breeze were
a boat, this would be the time where we say
to you, the Breeze listener, you get to wear the
captain's hat because you're steering the ship.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I gotta be honest, I did not know where you
were going with that, so I'm glad that worked out.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I honestly was like, where what are we doing here?
Is that not a good an analogy Breeze were a boat.
If the Morning Breeze were a boat, this is where
you're steering the ship. With a little segment we called
ask us anything percent right.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I just it's six forty in the morning, and I
was not ready for that.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
This is where you call into the show with your questions.
Eight seven seven nine eight one. Own. I'll give you
a heads up next time, okay. Eight seven seven nine
nine eight one.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
All right, We've got Lucy in San Francisco holding Lucy,
go ahead, ask us anything?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
What is your favorite secret? Little heid Behold in San
Francisco like to go out for like a lunch or
something like.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Oh, Lucy, that is such a good question, great question.
So what's yours court, so.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Mine would be. There's this place in Coal Valley called
Cole Valley Tavern. Oh. They have the best French fries.
You have talked about that place. It's so good. What
makes their fries so good though, they there's a special process,
And in fact I was talking to the owner about this.
He said that the chef insists that they bake the
potatoes the day before, they have to sit in the

(06:56):
freezer overnight and then they kind of rough chop them
to go become fries. And that freezing part is what
makes them awesome. That does sound really good. What about you, Carolyn?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
I think for me, this is a place that I
have recently been turned onto in the past couple of years.
The Brick House Oh up on Brannon Street here by us.
We now know the owner. Her name is Kim. She
is lovely. We've been to her home and honestly, the
brick house is an extension of her home, the way
she decorates it. How it feels so warm and cozy

(07:30):
in there, and you just want to spend hours. The
food is great, the drinks are fantastic. Kim is nice.
Talk about the burger Okay, the bluesy Burger. I gotta
tell you, Lucy, the Bluesy Burger is a delicious what's
that quote? Wagou beef burger And then it's got bacon
and blue cheese and caramelized onions on it, Like what's

(07:50):
not to love? So you have to check that out sometime, Lucy. Again,
it's called Brick House and it's on Brandon Street here
in San Francisco. How about you, Lucy, where's your go
to place in the city.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
A million years when I used to work in the
corner post attorney, I had this little home wall place
on O'Farrell Street and it was this Japanese couple and
they made the best avocado sandwiches before avocado sandwiches were

(08:23):
like the thing. I'm sure it's not there anymore, but
oh my god, it was on O'Farrell Street, little teeny
tiny plates. And you know when they're good is when
they have a line around the corner all the time. Yeah,
that's when you know you got to try this place.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Oh so good.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
That's such a great recommendation. We may send Court over
there because I'm not going. We may send Court walk over.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
There because I walk in that area all the time.
If it's there.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
You could pick me up something and bring it back.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Okay, great, I'll seek it out, Lucy.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Thank you, Thank you to you all guys all the time,
every morning here, so thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Thank you. Bite Dot was a fun ask us anything,
and it made me hungry.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I know.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
I'm still thinking about the bluesy Bergner, think about the
fres fries so good. Oh yeah, those fries sound good too.
All right, it is ask us anything. We do it
every weekday morning at this time. And just a heads up,
you know, you can send us a talk back with
our iHeartRadio app at any hour of the day with
your questions. If something pops into your mind, you know,
and you're on your lunch break at work or whatever,

(09:29):

it and we'll do it on the air here at

And speaking of the app, Carolyn and those talkbacks, Our
brighter Side today is coming to us from our free
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
This is JJ out in Seattle, Washington. My totally awesome
news is that my boyfriend of ten years just proposed
on Thanksgiving and we just bought a house. So I
am writing the Deliriously Happy Train and I'm just so
grateful and blessed and God is so good and I
just wanted to brag.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Wow, engaged on Thanksgiving. That's an engagement I wouldn't see coming.
And I have a lot of experience in this department,
like an engagement on a holidage A couple of times
was twice two times? Okay, yeah, yeah, I just that
is one. I could see it coming on Christmas, maybe
a little New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, so family.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
And food and not only that, she's they're getting into
a new home. Also, Chang, do you hang on to
a ten year relationship? You are thinking? You were thinking
about this in a completely different way than me. Yeah,
what's her name was? JJ? In Seattle?

Speaker 3 (12:28):
JJ, if you could call us and give me some advice,
I know, but that's exciting for her.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
This is the second engagement that I heard about happening
on Thanksgiving Day.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Really.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah, one of my daughter's friends, older sisters. Okay, they
got engaged in Yo. Whoa and she thought they were
just getting some photos taking, and then the whole family
showed up and it was pretty magical.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
That's pretty cool. Yeah, well, JJ, congratulations to you. That
is awesome Thanksgiving engagement. All right, you can send us
your brighter sides like she did with our iHeartRadio that
talkback Mike call us eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
And of course, if you want to join Sandra and Patricia,
who have both won full sized Christmas trees this morning,
be sure to join us at eight o'clock for your
next chance to win our annual tradition of taking the
stress out of your holidays with these full sized Christmas trees.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yep, we do it every hour on the hour six
in the morning till six at night. So yeah, your
next chance coming up at eight, it's Benny King at
seven twenty eight. Here on ninety eight point one the Breeze.
You've got the morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cordon. It's
that time of the morning where we're going to collectively
learn something.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
It's the Gum Edition, apparently the gum edition of the
More you Know, sponsored by the San Francisco Symphony. Yeah,
so what.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Really happens when you swallow gum? We now know the
real answer. You know, when you were a kid, your
mom always told you don't swallow gum because it'll stay
in your stomach for seven years.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah, or there was the bigger rumor, which is that
it'll never leave your body. It will get stuck in
your appendix, and when they pull out your appendix, it'll
be covered in gum.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Okay, I never heard that rumor until this moment. But
that's also good.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
To know, Corey. It might have been a Johnson family rumor.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
It might have been, but I feel like we all
knew the gum swallower growing up. Apparently I work with one.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
You're looking at it. We found out a couple of
minutes ago.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Well, it turns out that gum doesn't stay in your
stomach for seven years. It actually passes through your body
in a few days.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Just like regular food. Yes, it dissolves, goes away.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I don't know if it dissolves, but it passes through
your body. So I had no idea because I'm not
gonna lie. I didn't think that all those years of
gum swallowing that I did, and I'm not going to
say I did it a lot, but you do what
you do as a kid.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Did I think it was still in my body?

Speaker 2 (14:52):
No?

Speaker 3 (14:52):
But did I know when it left? I did not,
But now I know within a few days it says
it's goodbyes.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I would assume I in my adulthood, and I've just
kind of assumed gum it goes but by way of
the rest of the food. Yeah, put into your house.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
This is the most we've ever thought about this. And
now you two for everybody listening, and you're very welcome,
and that's how the more you know works. But I
was thinking, like, there were so many things when we
were kids that our parents told us are lies that
we believed. And we put this question on our Facebook
page this morning at ninety eight. One of the Breeze
These answers, Carrie said that eating fruit seeds would make

(15:28):
them sprout inside you.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah, watermelon seeds in my family. Yes, if you eat
that watermelon seed, there's gonna be a watermelon.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
I remember hearing that. Yeah, as you grow a watermelon.
Michelle said she was told if you sit too close
to the TV, you'll go blind. Yes, I remembered that
one too. Dave said his mom told him that Jeanie
really lived in a bottle. Okay, here's my favorite one.
And everybody's commenting on this comment. Elizabeth said her dad
told her that the crescent moon was his toenail.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
It's such a dad move. I'm actually have you told
your daughters that? Because I can totally see I've never
told my daughters that though, though it's interesting because Elaine
put this in our Facebook page as well. Is that
the idea that the dome light in your car it's
illegal to drive with those on. My daughters assumed the
same thing, because we'll be driving down the road, they'll
they'll turn on the dome light and both my wife

(16:18):
and I are like, hey, turn that off. I can't
see I'm driving. But as a kid, you interpret that
as it's illegal. Yes, you can't do that.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
And remember when you were a kid, if you turn
your domelight on for a minute, you would be so
paniced to turn it off as soon as possible.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
It does affect your ability to ability to see your
your eyes are affected by it. But is it illegal?
I don't think so. I mean, yeah, I put in
there mine was cracking knuckles, that you if you crack
your knuckles, you're gonna have arthritis guaranteed. It's pretty sure
that's actually true. What there's Harvard studies where they looked
at people who cracked knuckles. Marv, No way, I'm looking

(16:55):
it up right now.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Did a study cracking your Oh and it auto populates
knuckles cause arthritis?

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Right, he's gonna find out in real time. A I
says no, I says no, Well, it's a chiropractor told
me it does. I think they have associated people with
who crack their knuckles their grip isn't as strong as
it should be. But when it comes to arthritis, which
was the big thing, it's not true.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Cord It says it could lead to temporary joint pain,
reduce grip strength and swelling. You are like a doctor
feel so good adjacent. Yeah, I bet everybody listening now
like I want to crack my knuckles so bad and
I see you doing it too.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yeah, this is how works, all right. It's the more
you know. We do it every weekday morning Here at
seven twenty five on the Morning Breeze and be sure
to join us eight o'clock your next chance to win
that full sized Christmas tree as we continue to take
the stress out of your holidays with these Christmas trees
every hour on the hour.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Yeah, this is an annual tradition of ours. We love
being able to do this for you, just one less
thing that you have to think about this holiday season.
So be here at eight o'clock your next chance to
win on the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Court ninety eight point one of the Breeze where we're
helping take the stress out of your holidays with full
sized Christmas trees every hour on the hour. And a
big congratulations to you you've just won.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
Wooo wow, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Woo who indeed this is Woo who Indeed I just
did Court? Woo. Who is the appropriate way to celebrate
when you win a full sized Christmas all right, all right,
who is this and where are you listening to us?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
This is Donna and I live in the sunset in
San Francisco.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I already went looking at trees.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
And my mouth drop they're very, very expensive.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
So wow, off we go.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
It helps, It really helps.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
That's exactly the point of why we do this is
we want to take that stress out of your holidays.
We know that trees are expensive and they're constantly going
up in price, so allow us to take this off
your hands. A full sized Christmas tree for you, Donna.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
But thank you, You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
We do it every hour on the hour.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Six of the morning till six at nine. We thank
Premiere One Credit Union as well for making this possible
for us. So the next chance to win coming up
at nine o'clock here on the breeze.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Well you have a wonderful day. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
You took bye. So, Carolyn, if I seem a little
off today, I want to let you know that I
am recovering today from a major betrayal that happens, so
you're aware.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
Of some of this.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
So we've got two dogs, Charlie and Leo. They're both adopted.
We rescued them. They're so cute they are. Charlie is
the older dog. We got him early in the pandemic.
Leo come late, came later a couple of years later. Uh,
there's been a string of accidents happening in the house.
Oh yes, I am aware of that, but it's escalated

(19:49):
within the past couple of months where one of them
is having accidents in bed, in our bed. You've got
a peer, you got a peer, And we always suspected Leo.
Leo's the younger dog. He's he's known to have accidents.
He kind of came that way and we've been working
with him on it and so but it's just escalated

(20:10):
in the past couple of months and we're just like,
oh man, what's up with you Leo. So we actually
took him into the doctor, made sure it wasn't a uti. Sure,
the doctor said that everything's good there. But he says,
I would suspect this is your dog just because he
has accidents and he's got anxiety. Yeah, So so you know,
he gives us this plan, he gives us medication that

(20:31):
we were about to put Leo on. But we also
thought you know what, let's make sure for sure that
it's Leo. Sure that was smart. We got a camera
and pointed it at the bed. So when when my
when I'm at work and my wife's working. She works
in the house, but she's down in an office, we
can monitor to see what's going on. Okay, yesterday my
wife texts me and she's like, hey, check the cameras.

(20:53):
I just found this. This is while does at work yesterday. Yep,
go to the camera. There was an incident. There was
an incident and it was charge no way, and poor
Leo has gone. Not only that, it was no accident,
he was very intentional, did it on purpose. And then
he came back about two hours later.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
They always returned to the scene of the crime, and
he did it again and again.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
What a brad, I know? Is he mad? You're at
work and Randy's downstairs. I'm not exactly sure what it is,
because it's like it must. I think it's been going
on for some time, probably when Leo arrived in the house.
I don't know if it's a territorial thing. But we're
we're now shopping around. We're going to try to find
like a dog behavioralist he's a Chihuahua, right, Charlie is

(21:42):
a terrier. A terrier. Leo is the chiaha.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
If there are terrier owners or dog trainers in our audience,
this is a great chance.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
For you to help explain to me what's going on.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
I can help him with it, Yeah, because that would
be tremendously helpful to have somebody who could give you advice.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
We did a dog's coologist or a dog whist.

Speaker 3 (22:01):

Court who's in our Breeze audience that's listening.

Yeah, that's got to be so frustrating.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
