Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm gonna say, Alto Sacks.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
I'm just gonna ask you. I think it is, but
we don't know for sure. Google it.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
I think it's an alto sax either way, Billy Joel,
just the way you are, Morning Breeze, Carolyn and Court,
it is six eighteen.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Did you find it? Darn it? Okay? I was.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I was stalling as long as I could, all right,
Billy Gel Sacks for those so those of you that
don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Carolyn prides herself on being able to identify any saxophone
out of any song, and not just you know, is
that an alto saxon?

Speaker 4 (00:45):
I hate? Is that a quote? Berry? Is that a
sex not a baritone? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
We're gonna find it anyway, Morning Breeze, Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
And it was an alto sas Okay, yes, all right,
okay on how we can move on?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
All right, and it's time for the Morning Breeze brain teas.

Speaker 3 (01:03):

by themselves.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Okay, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight one oh
nine eight one k in pleasant and good morning. What
is your guest for this one?

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Eating by eating in public?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Or eating?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Do you ever go out to eat on your own? K?

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Yeah, all the time. But apparently that's not the answer.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
No, it's not. It's not the answer.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
But I think that's a really good guess because I
think more and more people are realizing, Hey, I'm hungry,
I want to go out to eat. There's no there's
no shame in going out to a restaurant by yourself. Nope,
not at all.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
You go where you want, you eat what you want,
you leave when you want, and you.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Don't get in a fight with anybody while you're there.
What's not to love?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And there's no question at the end of the night,
who gets to pay the bill court? Not the answer
as you, as you correctly guessed, cave, here's the correct answer.
Every year for the past five years, more and more
people are choosing to go camping by themselves. Really, and
the boy scout and me thinks this is not safe
at all. What if something happens to you?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Now, if you said, if you said glamping like the
G I would say yes. But if you're saying camping
with the c Nope, Well put in.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Just in time for a long holiday weekend.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Okay, that's right.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
There you go, there you go.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Thank you, you two k You know.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
My ex husband knows that I'm not a fan of camping.
We'll just say so. He really loved camp and he said,
we are going to go glamping, glamping. You are going
to guaranteed love this. After we go, I took the bait,
we went out. He had a like a blow up
mattress that he put in the tent.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
His his version of his version of glamping is not
the way I know glamping. For those that don't know,
glamping is glamour camping, right, and it's basically you're you're
basically in a hotel kind of outside. Most glamping is
the tent is already there for you. You're in a bed
instead of an inflatable mattress.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Well, somebody may want to let.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
This is your former for like an X like husband.
How long after this quote glamping trip did he become
the ex husband?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Not that long? Not that long.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
It wasn't because of the trip, but just sure about that.
It was just one of the you could add it.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
To the res.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Wasn't It wasn't great though I expected like a bed
and other things.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
That wasn't it. I don't think you got the true
lamping experience. That wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Still waiting for that.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
So anyway, we are at eight seven seven nine one,

(04:45):
eight point one The Breeze The Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court. I like that you were so specific with
that Hello. I just want to make sure that when
people tune into the Breeze that we're giving them accurate,
factual information.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
On the nose.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
On the Nose.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So I had something happened over the weekend, a conversation
that I overheard, and I was so bothered by this conversation.
I said to myself self, you have to talk about
this on the breech okay, because I want to know
what you would have done and what our listeners would
have done in this situation. So I am in a
local coffee shop and there was a woman. I'm waiting

(05:20):
for my order and there's a woman to my left
and she grabs her coffee off the counter and she
says to the barista, has this been stirred? And the
barista says, well, we swirled it, yeah, And the customer goes, ah,
you swirled it but you didn't stir it.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Hmm okay.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
And I was standing there thinking, are you kidding me
that this just happened. Now, maybe in the world of
coffee there's a difference between a swirl and a stir.
If you're a barista on your way to work and
there is a difference, please call us and educate me
on this.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
But it was just how the lady handle that. Oh,
you swirled it, but you didn't stir it. Mm okay.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, and then she stood there and waited for her
second part of her order or whatever. But my point
is a that was totally irritating. I felt for the
baristas because I thought, how many times a day do
they get this? Think of how many people go in
and out of these coffee shops. Take your coffee shop
non stop? Yeah, it's NonStop. And I wanted to say
something to the barista, to say like, hey, thanks for

(06:28):
all you do. Were you guys do a great job
because I think a lot of people go into these
coffee shops and the volume that they're churning out is
so high that they just deal with a lot. So
I just wanted to be like, thank you, you guys
do amazing work. My coffee is always on point.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Did you make eye contact with the Because I would
have made eye contact with the barista.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
It would have been like with my eyes, it would
have been like, whoa.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Hey, I I try to I know you're going through
something right now.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
I got you.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
No, it was more that I was shooting daggers at
the lady next to me out of the side of
my eye.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
I was like, she just did that. So like, what
would you have done in this situation?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Would you have made it a point to say something
to the barista keep in mind.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
That woman was still there.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I have, yeah, I have said something after an incident
like this has happened, whether it's you know, this is
kind of on the mild side, but it's still very
obviously frustrating for I think the barista and everybody. It
makes it kind of awkward for everybody in the coffe shops.
So I've said stuff before, but I don't know that
the person had been standing right there. That's kind of
the change here. You got to be careful, yeah, you know, well,

(07:30):
plus what if that lady listens to the breeze and
she's like, oh, Carolyn on the breeze just rang me up.
At eight in the morning in a coffee shop, then
that lady should be considering her behavior. Yes, of you know,
being just so particular about swirling and stirring. I mean
maybe did you hear the order take place? Did she
ask it to be stirred? No, I'd say, I feel

(07:53):
like there's no differences, kind of like that old James
Bond when he was wanting his Martine shake it, not stirring.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
He was very specific about how he wanted it.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
So for all we know, maybe that's the would have said,
I would like this coffee stirred, not swirled.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Please, And that's why I want to hear from any
barista that's working to say, is there a big difference here?

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Like?

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Yeah, is this normal behavior? Is this okay? And I
just made a big to do over nothing right?

Speaker 4 (08:18):
Anyway?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Send us a talkback with our iHeartRadio app it is
it Talkback Tuesday here on the Breeze, or give us
a call eight seven seven nine, eight one oh nine
and one.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
But how would you have handled this?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Coming up later in the show eight fifty as you
begin your workday, we're gonna give you ninety eight minutes
of non stop, commercial, free, relaxing favorites. We're gonna swirl it.
We're gonna stir that mess. Oh, thank goodness, go to
do all the things to the music. Ninety eight minutes
commercial free at eight fifty. Here on the Morning Breeze.
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and Kelly Clarkson.
At seven oh six, it's time now for the brader side.

positive happening in your life, Thatt, Carolyn, here, Oh of
things you might call us about with your writer's eide.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Oh, this will be great.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Uh, you spotted a rainbow after the rain Oh. I
love that you solved the tricky problem at work.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
We're at school. M hm uh. You finished a book
that you loved and you want to tell everybody about it.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Great example, you're cooking a new recipe and it turned
out great.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Are you going to leave anything for the listeners to do?

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Or how about one more? Okay, you kept that house
house plan alive. Oh that's a brighter side, maybe a
huge one in nice house.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Court Brandy actually said, hey, should we get some flowers
and I'm like, nope.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
No, we'll kill them.

Speaker 7 (09:33):
No.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
The worst gift you could give me as a plant. Okay,
it's gonna die. You're wasting your money. Yeah, take that down.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
The Brier Side is sponsored by Shreaming Company, Luxury time Pieces,
Fine Designers, and Flawless Diamonds and again you can call
us with your writerer sides eight seven, seven, nine, eight one,
nine eight one.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
This morning, we're talking to Jen, who is a listener
of ours who lived in Livermore. She moved to Las Vegas,
but she's back in the Bay Area visiting, which is awesome.
So good to have you here, Jenso, how is it
being back in the Bay Area.

Speaker 7 (10:02):
We love Vegas, but you know, it's it's great to
go to restaurants that we've missed for so long. You know,
like we hit two of them yesterday and we're hitting
another one today. It's just we're going to gain fifteen
twenty rounds on this forty.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
That's what vacations are for. It's got to be really
good to.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
Be home, exactly. It is.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
It's so nice knowing you're here and you're back in
the Bay Area with all the familiar people and places
around you, and of course listening to the breeze.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Well, and it's the first station I came in the
car to you when we got out of the rental
car garage.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Oh, thank you, Jen. How long ago did you move
out away from the bay.

Speaker 7 (10:43):
We moved it was what a little over four years ago?
March thirtieth, twenty twenty one.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Is this your first time back visiting or have you
been back?

Speaker 7 (10:51):
Oh? No, okay, no, we've we've been back a couple
of times. But it's so good to hear you, guys.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
And welcome to the Craziness Court.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Thank you, heay, happy to be part of it.

Speaker 7 (11:05):
Yeah, so so good to hear you guys.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Then you too, Yeah, enjoy your trip and thank you
for checking in.

Speaker 7 (11:13):
Yeah, no problem, take care you guys.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
Have a good day, Jen.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
And if you've got a brighter side like Jen. There again,
there's a couple of different ways you can give us
those brighter sides. You can call us eight seven seven
nine eight one nine eight one, or because it is
a talkback Tuesday, MMM, would love for you to leave
us a talkback using our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Good Idea Court and coming up next seven twenty five
This morning, it is ask us anything. We would love
to hear from you eight seven seven nine eight one
nine eight one, or again send us a talk back
with your questions. Could be about anything. As a matter
of fact, today Court, one of our listeners has called in.
They want to follow up on something that you talked

(11:52):
about a while ago on the air. You were having
a problem with something and they're following up saying, Hey,
whatever happened to that issue?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Court was having.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Oh okay, that's coming up seven twenty five. Ask us
anything here on the Breeze the Beg's.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Seven twenty four. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court, and
that means it is time for ask us anything. We
do ask us anything every weekday morning here at seven
twenty five. And I've got to tell you, you guys
are hitting it out of the park with the questions
that you're bringing us because they are all different. I mean,
we're getting icebreaker type questions. We're getting questions about the show.

(12:30):
I love what is coming in.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It really can be about anything that pops into your mind. Say,
for example, should you eat macaroni and cheese with chili?
And the answer to that is, of course yes, you
should mix those two together, and that is one of
the greatest meals ever invented.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
You never thought about that. I thought you were going
to ask should you eat macaroni and cheese.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
With a spoon or a fork? Which that's the solid question.
That is another great question.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Another while we're on this, let's go cottage cheese, spoon
or fork.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I really feel cottage cheese is a spoon type food.
Me too, But you can get by with a fork.
Chicken salad, sandwich spoon or fork.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
That's a fork, but a spoon spoon? Did the jump Doe?

Speaker 6 (13:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Anyway, that's not what we're talking about today. Today, it
is Sue in Santa Rosa. Sue ask us anything.

Speaker 7 (13:19):
I have a question for you, Court, all right, Just
to get back to something we talked about quite a
while ago, how are you doing with your pizza stone thing?

Speaker 4 (13:28):
I gave up on it?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
What yeah, okay, So to reset.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
So, I was inspired by some some internet videos to
make start making pizza on my pizza stone and it
was sticking too much.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
And it's just.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
That's a lot of pizza to make and eat when
you're trying to be healthy. I just getting there. So
it's a combination of me trying to eat healthier and
I just can't figure out my dough. I just can't
get my dough to not stick to every feel like
this is a poor excuse to give up. I mean,
there are other people in the house. It'll hit the pizza, right, Yeah.
But and pizza is my favorite food.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah. I would eat pizza for every meal if I could.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
I'm shocked you're giving up on this because you love
pizza so much. I've I've got to put I've got
to change my approach to it. I think maybe I
need to start making because I've been buying pre made dough. Now,
maybe I need to start making the dough from scratch,
which is way more involved.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Call to give you advice.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah, when we talked about that last time, and they
were saying, like corn starch, they were giving all kinds.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
I've used the corn starch.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
It's to be corn meal.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
It's corn meal. Yeah, I've used the corn meal.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
I don't like it on the bottom of my pizza.
But I did try seasoning the stone and that helped
a little bit.

Speaker 7 (14:39):
So like a cast iron, it needs to be seasoned.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
I've actually recently heard moving from a pizza stone to
a pizza steel, which is actually just a big thick
slab of steel that heats more consistently than a stone.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
So I don't know, why don't you just go to
Mountain Mikes. It's so much easier, that's just it, as
I can just order.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
It's perfect every time, every single time.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah, now I want.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
Pizza for breakfast.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Me too, Me too, have a great day, you too.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I am one hundred percent supportive of pizza.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
For breakfast, me too.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
So good.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Court came out to Clayton on Sunday and we have
pizza together.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
That was fun. We need to share her photo that
we took.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Oh yeah, that's so cute. That was fun. I could
eat pizza anytime.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
We had a very delicious gluten free crust, and I
was impressed.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
You liked it. It was his first trip to Skippolini's.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Pizza and it was a rousing success.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Ten out of ten would do again.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
That's awesome. But yes, ask us anything.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
We do it every weekday morning here at seven twenty
five and send us your questions. You can call us
eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one or
send us a talk back with our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yes it is a talk back Tuesday, and it's an
easy way for you to communicate with the show anytime
of the day. In fact, if you if you think
of a question outside of the Morning Breeze hour, yes
you can still send that talk back. Download the free
iHeartRadio app in your app store or online at ninety
eight one Thebreeze dot com. It's a song you will
hear only on ninety eight point on The Breeze. Joe

(16:12):
Cocker Jennifer warrens at eight ten, You've got the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
So I was at a coffee shop over the weekend
and they were very busy.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
It was eight am on a Saturday, so you can imagine.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
And I witnessed this exchange that I immediately thought, we
have to talk about this on The Breeze because I'm
curious Court to know what you would have done here.
I'm curious to know what our listeners would have done here.
So there was a woman who went to you know how,
like at some coffee places, especially when it's busy, they
just load up the counter with like all the orders.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
There's a ton of the orders, like bill, they set
it down.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Yes, So this person went up, grabbed their coffee, took
a step back, said to the barista who's running around
like a chicken with her headcot off, Yeah, has this
been stirred? And the barista said, we swirled it, yes,
And the woman said, ah, you swirled it, but you
didn't stir it, okay, and then she took a step

(17:15):
back and was like waiting for whatever her second order was.
But I witnessed this and I was like, what just happened?

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Was it a little aggressive?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
I just thought, like, these baristas, it's a Saturday morning
at eight, it is their busiest moment of the week,
and you're upset over a swirl versus a stir.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Now, I will say, I don't know if there's a difference.
I am no barista. So if you're listening and you
work in a coffee shop or you know that there's
a difference, maybe there's a big difference that I just
don't know. But I felt bad for the baristas, and
I thought the work that they do, they are so
busy pumping out these orders. Yeah, and then for somebody
to be like, oh, you swirled it but.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Didn't stir it, so I'm stir obviously, Y stir it
you've got some sort of nirl. Is I just holding
the cup and going with your hands, yeah, whirling it
around doing Is it keeping the creamer on top that
way versus a start.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I've never heard of the of the coffee swirl. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
And here's the thing, here's why I bring this up.
I wanted to like say something to the barista, not
about that woman, but just acknowledge I saw that and
I feel bad for you. I wanted to give her
like a I'm sorry about that, or a little wink
in a knowing nod yes or over thank her and
be like, you guys do great work. Thank you for
pumping out all these orders, But like, what would you
have done in this situation?

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yeah, no, I don't know if the woman was she
was still standing there as Yeah, she was standing there
stone if you didn't want to kind of like point
her out, I know, but which kind of want to.
I just wanted to acknowledge it, let the barista know
I got you. Yeah, you know, uh, you could call
us eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one,
send us a talk back with our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
We actually have a talkback on this.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
I just wanted to respond to Carolin's little coffee scenario.
I was just gonna say, sometimes even just a smile
and encouraging and sincere thank you so much. I appreciate it.
It's perfect. That's enough to encourage the other person, like
in this case the barista, and that that kindness will
overshadow that other person's attitude and remark. But you know,

(19:14):
all we can do is be responsible for our actions
with sincerity, you know what I mean? So anyhow, have
a bleass date back.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Oh that's a great talk back, thank you. So it
could be just as simple as that, just being just
being gracious and kind, just being nice, That's what I think,
and your nicest will stand in contrast to people who
are maybe a little short with them.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Very well, said Court. I know, which I know exactly
what you're saying. That's awesome.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
So yeah, send your talkbacks with our iHeartRadio app. It's
just that microphone button next to the play button on
our app again, or you can call us what would
you have done in this situation? Eight seven seven nine
eight one nine eight one And coming.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Up later in the hour eight point fifty as you
begin your workday, we're giving you ninety eight minutes of NonStop,
commercial free, relaxing favorites.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
We have music coming up at a fifty one. We
are commercial free. We're gonna play some Maroon five for you.
