Speaker 1 (00:30):
So what is the question? Court?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
On average, you do this about thirty two times a
year and probably don't even realize it.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
That's the tricky part for me, is that don't even
realize it.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. Adele
and Milbury, Good morning. You've got to guess what is it.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Forgetting to twick the trash show.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I've put it outside of the door and I mean
to take it to the jumpstick, but I forget to
do it that night.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
There in the morning. Oh yeah, I think we've all
been there where you're lying in bed and you hear
the garbage truck coming down the road.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
To the dash. Oh yeah, oh that's the worst.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Great guests, not the answer we're looking for.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Thank you, You're welcome. Have a good day, Adele.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
All right, Charlie in San Francisco. You're on the road
this morning. Where are you guys heading?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
We're actually on the road right now. We're driving. Let's
go to Oregon.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
San Francisco to Oregon. What a dry it sure is?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
All right, So what do you think the answer is?
I'm going to swallow a bug? Swallow a bug?

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
You know they say when you sleep at night, Yeah,
your mouth is open and income the critters.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That's been a rumor since you were in the seventh grade.
But it's true, right, No, I don't think it's true.
I think that's been debunked.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Really.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah. I think it's been a myth that's been out
there that.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, I mean, if you're out on a hiker a
walk or something in a little Nato.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, but I did. I think the whole rumor was
every year, on average, you swallow eight spiders.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yes, that's why her guess is a legit good guess.
Swallow a bug.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Thank you, Yes, thank you.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
You're welcome. Charlie, she's building she's building you up. But
it's actually not the correct answer.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Hey, that's okay, what's the answer?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Correct answer? On average, you break the law thirty two
times a year and don't.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Even me to Charlie.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
And I realized the true She realizes that everyone like
jaywalk all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Wow, speeding, Gosh, that's nothing. I was thinking you were
like running a red light or something.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Well, I can't say everything on the radio.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
All right, you guys have a great trip.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, drive save thank you, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Oh go ahead.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I was just in there thinking of all the illegal
activities I've been doing that that I could just admit
here on the radio.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You sure tax fraud.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Uh Wait, I've said too much.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I see people jaywalking all the time in San Francisco,
and I see them doing it in front of police officers,
and the cops are like, whatever, we got bigger fish
to fry.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I was out riding my bike yesterday in the city
and I actually I kind of I don't know if
it's considered jaywalking, but I always start a little early
because I don't like sitting there at the front of
like sitting at a red light with all these cars
coming up, a lot of pressure. Yeah, I don't want
to get hit from behind, so I always take off
a little early.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
That's running around.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I make sure it's clear and safe for everybody, but
I'm not I don't want to get I don't have
anybody slamming into the back of me.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
A cop really could give you a tick of tot
because you thought you'd quote take off a little early.
That is an I don't think that would stand up
in court. I don't think it would stand up in
court court.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Anyway, it's the morning Berry's Brain Teas. We do it
every weekday morning at six twenty.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Coming up this morning at eight point fifty, helping you
begin your workday the proper way. We're going to give
you ninety eight minutes of NonStop commercial free relaxing favorites.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
It's a perfect way to start off your Monday, because
we know you're coming off a weekend. It's rough to
go back to work on a Monday, but we got you.
You can ease your way in ninety eight minutes commercial
free relaxing favorites. And yes, we will start that at
eight fifty. Here on the Breeze Brees.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
It's six forty one on this Monday morning, ninety eight
point one the Breeze. You've got the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court. And if knowledge is power, man, get
ready to like bench a lot of weight, because man,
we're gonna fill you up with the more. You know.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Oh I love that.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Okay, So when you are on a video call, Court,
do you look at yourself or do you look at
the person who is talking during video calls?

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I tend to well, it kind of depends on how
your screen is set up. I do not like staring
at myself because I just start seeing flaws. They're like,
oh man, I need to pluck those eyebrows. Oh so
I try to stare at something else. Okay, how about you.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I look at myself all right, because I'm looking to
see how I look on the call.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Well, they're saying that because of this, people are looking
more at themselves than the person who is speaking on
these calls. No surprise, but this is resulting in an
uptick in plastic surgery. Of course it is because what's
happening is now these video calls, these zoom calls or
whatever platform you're using. They have filters available now. Now,

(05:29):
in the beginning with the pandemic, there were no filters
on these.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Now you can change your background, make your background fuzzy. No,
you can put makeup on. Oh now you can do
full on filters.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Oh yeah, you can do makeup. You can do eyeliner
like you can do well, I know this is all makeup,
but you can put lipstick on, you can put eyeliner on,
you can filter out your flaws. Well, what's happening is
we're looking at ourselves during these calls, and now we've
got filters on, and we're saying, gosh, I look really
good on these zoom calls. I need to make this
permanent so I look like a zoom call my everyday

(06:00):
life when I'm out walking around or doing whatever. And
so there rise. They have a name for this. It's
called video conferencing dysmorphia. That is the actual name for
what is happening. It is a thing.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
I just don't know why you would put a filter on,
because you can tell when it's a filter sometimes.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Could you tell the other day when you were on
a call with me, I had a filter?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Do you have a filter?

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
You had I know you had the fuzzy background on
where it's because.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I'm in my kitchen. Okay, yeah, I got that tell yeah,
well yeah, of course, but I did. I didn't notice
you had to filter, like it's very light. But yeah,
and I'm like, hey, I'm looking better and better in
Zoom these days. Man, Should I go get some work done?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
No, just use the filter.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
I wish I could anyway. So that's what's happening interesting,
I know, right, yeah, I remember hearing this a little
bit after the pandemic. But now as these video conferencing
platforms we use them more and more. It's not like
they're going away anytime soon. Of course, they're upgrading and
they're great new features, and so those filters are one
of the features. And it's causing people to go out
and get plastic surgery.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
So there you go. The more you know, and now I.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Will book an appointment with my plastic.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Surge if you need to. I don't think you need time.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
All right, we are at eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one. We want to remind you that
we are looking for our next Morning Breeze person of
the week, so we want to hear from you this
week and hear who that person is in your life
that's making a difference.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, these are people in the Bay Area. They could
be your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, a stranger even
that are just doing good things for the community. You
hop on our website. You tell us about what they're doing,
and if we select them, we're actually going to award
them Brunch for two on the Bay courtesy of City Cruises.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yes, so get those nominations into us. We make the
announcement every Friday morning just after seven o'clock. See got
plenty of time ninety eight one the Breeze dot com.
On the Morning Breeze page, it's Madonna.

Speaker 1 (07:52):

no definition of what the brighter side is. It's just
happy stories.

I raised two kids, single mom, and this weekend I
heard that I'm going to have a second grand baby.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Oh wow, congratulations, thank you.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
And my younger daughter just got accept it for a
nurse in La Joia.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Oh my gosh, that is awesome.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
You have a lot of things to celebrate right now.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yeah, it's all blessings, I tell you. Wonderful, wonderful.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
It sounds like you really appreciate things too, which is huge.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, yes, yes I do. I'm so blessed. I mean,
you know, to be.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
A single mom, yeah, and doing it all on your own,
that had to be tough. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
And they turned out great.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah good people. And both nurses who.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Good job, mama, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
It sounds like you did something very right.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Yes I did. And I'm giving myself, you know.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Fat in my back, like yeah, will you deserve it?

Speaker 3 (09:29):
What's your name?

Speaker 4 (09:30):
My name is Mary Anne, I mean Jele Andrew driving
to Pittsburgh every morning.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Marianne, thank you for taking us on your drive. We
really appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
We do. And you have a good rest of your morning.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Thank you, you too, have a wonderful, blessed day.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
That is such a sweet, brighter side, all right, if
you've got one for us eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one and.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Coming up in just a few minutes, seven twenty five,
it's time to ask us anything.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yes, be thinking of those questions. Anything about the show.
The other day we had somebody who asked us an
icebreaker about how we eat pizza.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Right, that works. Got the big hot dog debate last
week as well.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Oh that's right. That was on Friday.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
As a hot dog, a hot dog or a sandwich, right,
it's a hot dog by the way. Anyway, ask us anything.
We'd love to hear your questions. Eight seven seven nine
nine eight one. We're going to do it. It's seven
twenty five here on the Breeze.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
It's the Morning Raeze with Carolyn and Court and Dan
Hartman at seven twenty four. That song just feel so
good on a Monday.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Now you're really doing a nice Dad dance and I
did see that.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
I would call it just a dance.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
But okay, well that's what you would call it.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Was it awkward?

Speaker 1 (10:43):
It was good?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yep. Well let's go let's make it not awkward and
turn the show over to you. This is the part
of the show where we basically hand over the topic
to our listeners. We call it ask us Anything, where
you call in and literally ask us anything.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
We actually got and ask us anything over the weekend
and that we wanted to do this morning. It came
via our iHeartRadio app and that talk back Mike.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Hey, this is Melinda from Nevado, and I had a
question for your ask me anything that you guys do.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
I feel like we're always most of us are trying
to like improve ourselves every day, be a better person.
Do you have a bad habit that you're currently trying
to break and what is it? I would be so
curious to hear what your answers are. Thanks again, love
listening listening to you guys every morning, and have a
great rest of your day.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Oh that's so nice. Thank you, Melinda.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Deep question, who's gonna go? Who's gonna go first?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
I know mine right out here? Do you know yours?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I do okay on the cow three one two three
and my knuckles what okay?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Crack your knuckles?

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah, engage in listening.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Actually I have, I have. I have written down cracked
body parts you did because I cracked my knuckles. I
have since I was a teenager. I also cracked cracked
my neck me too.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
That's what I thought you're was going to be. That
is mine. No, no, I have to stop.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
I can't. I tried to give it up in my twenties.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I know I've been trying.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
I do make an effort to except for in front
of you, because we're just working. We're like family here.
So sometimes I cracked my knuckles and I think, oh,
Court heard that, and then I think I cares.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
I never would have suspected that. I don't really, I
don't think I have once observed you crack anything.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
No way, right now, even talking about it my hands,
I want to crack my knuckles. Sorry, if you're listening
and now you want to crack yours too, I want
to crack my neck. So that is mine, Meliinda, thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
What is your?

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Mine? Is mine? Is that I need to be more
present in conversations with everybody. That's true. I have the
tendency to have my have my mind wander sometimes and
although I'm listening, I'm not engaged. So I want to
be I want to make sure that I'm an engaged listener.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
I think that's a skill we could all be better at. Yeah,
what'd you say?

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Exactly? Exactly?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
But that's how ask us anything works. It's that easy.
That was a great question. So, like Melinda, did, you
can always send us and ask us anything on our
iHeartRadio app used that talkback microphone.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
I'm sorry, Court, are you listening?

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Noct I was really listening and I was going to
add on to what you're talking about. Jo Linda sending
in that talkback and she did it over the weekend.
And that's the great thing about talkbacks is when anything
pops into your mind, whether the morning breeze is on
or not, you can send us that talkback.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah, twenty four to seven. Yeah, you have access to
you never hit a busy signal. Okay, that's a lot
of listening. You're very engaged right now. You can also
call us eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
They RTLC. That is Waterfalls.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Good morning, Happy Monday morning to you the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Coret.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
It is eight o six. Caroly and I have long
felt that I had like the best upbringing. I grew
up in a neighborhood where there are a lot of families,
a lot of kids to play with. During the summer months,
we played night games, and one particular family, the Jacqueline family,
would always invite us over. They had kids a little
older than me, but my older siblings age, so spent

(14:02):
a lot of time over there. Yeah at their house. Yeah,
I'm sure, playing in their backyard, playing in the house.
And every time you'd go over, every time I would
go over, they always had like kind of a spread
out on the on the counter. Go over.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
It was like food to eat, chips, different things, It's
the ideal. This sounds crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
I would always go home like well fed. It was
just great. The Jacqueline family recently discovered, though, that it
was all the scheme. It was all fraud. What do
you mean at least that food. Apparently, when Missus Jacqueline
got around to cleaning out the fridge, she'd be like, oh,
we got all these casts, rolls, got this, and that
we got to get rid of hate Mandy, that Mandy

(14:40):
was the daughter closest to my age. She say, Mandy,
why don't you invite little Courtney over to play? No,
you would eat the food. I would come over and
eat the food.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
You were like her rug doctor garbage.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
So you would get an invite to the Jacqueline family
home solely for the.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Per this of helping them clean out their fridge so
that food didn't go to waste.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
So she didn't have to throw it away. Oh my gosh,
and you just found this out.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Well.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
I was having a Facebook conversation with Mandy, who, yeah,
two years older than me, and we touched base every
now and then, and she she says, yeah, I used
to remember when when my mom wouldn't have me invite
you over because she was cleaning out the fridge and.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Then shut off.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
And then there then I saw then I saw like
the little dots where she's typing it. Yeah, and then
she's like, oh, wait, maybe I did you know this.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
I don't even know what to say to the story.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Thinking all this time that the Jacquelines wanted me over
there because of my charming personality. It was fun to
play with.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
It's kind of the greatest compliment you have the biggest
insult at the same time. I look back to it
and I just remember I always I mean, you know.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
It was a good cast.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
It was a great castle. She was a great cook.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
It was just ten days.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Old, and I grew in a fan There were eight
kids in my family. Yeah, and so you know, if
you you there was always food in the house. We
never went without. But but it might have been hungry. Also,
missus Jacqueline looking out for me.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Yeah, she's got a cast role to me cleaned.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
There may have been some sort of agreement between her
and my mom for all I know.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
So oh totally.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Hey, I'm not gonna be able to afford to feed
one of them. You want to invite corner and have
them clean out your fish rum. He's away a help
cast role on the counter. Okay, that's a great story.
Well we hope that starts your Monday morning off with
a laugh. Yeah, we're at eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one. You can always send us a
message about this or anything else our iHeart Radio app.
Use that microphone button next to the play button. That's

(16:43):
how you send us a message with our iHeart app.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Super easy to do, and you'll never ever ever get
a busy signal when you use the free iHeart Radio app.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Yep, just like that.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
That's how we do it all right.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Coming up at eight fifty, we're going to be commercial
free here on the Breeze. Great way to start off
your day, your week, in the office, or you're at home.
We go commercial free.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Ninety eight minutes of non stop, commercial free, relaxing favorites,
