According to a recent Facebook poll, seven percent of people
say they've been hit in the face by one of these.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Okay, this is going to be fun eight seven seven
nine eight one o nine eight one is how you
reach us Brook in Fremont.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
You've got to guess what is it?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
A ball?

Speaker 5 (01:11):
A ball?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Oh Brook? Have you ever had that happen with any
sort of ball? Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Maybe multiple time?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Actually multiple times. Dang well.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
I do hear a child in the background, so this
could be it could be a mishap.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
You got kids, A good chance it happens often. Is
that the answer? A ball? A ball is not the
answer we're looking for. I would kind of guess this.
That number would be a little higher for the ball.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Okay, all right, all right, all right, have.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
A good day, Brooke, good luck with all that.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Thank you, all right, Pam and alemeda good morning.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
What's your guess? A water balloon?

Speaker 6 (01:50):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Man, I can I can picture how that feels.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Have you?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Have you never been hit in the face by a
water bo I said, I can picture how it feels.
Oh yeah, how that feels? Yeah? Have you? Pam?

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Oh yeah, the older brothers, young brothers, then grand kids.
You know, the water balloon.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
It's fun until it's not. Yeah, and then you have
to go pick up all the little pieces of latex
bloon all.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Over the lawn, and inevitably somebody always goes too far.
There's always the person that goes too far that ends
up hurting somebody and.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Then the game is over. You know what his name is,
Paul Hanson, Handsome Michael sparks for me? Oh okay, all handsOn.
Who's it for you? Pam who went too far?

Speaker 6 (02:30):
One older brother. He was always kind of dominant. Yeah,
wanted to be the top dog.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
You know, classic brother, move right there. Classic.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
He even wanted to rocks and snowballs and I wouldn't
do it.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Oh my snowballs.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
He wanted to do that. I was like, oh my goodness,
no way. I feel like.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
That carries a heavier penalty than getting hit in the
face with a water balloon, A rocket, A snowball is
another level.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
I recorded. My dad had a lecture.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Oh yeah, the water is water blow in the answer.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
It is not the correct answer. According to this Facebook poll,
seven percent of people have admitted to being hitten in
the face by their cell phone.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
That happened to me at the chiropractor. I was laying
on my back of the chiropractor, had my phone up,
I was doing whatever and I dropped it and it
landed on my nose and I got a black eye.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, there we go. All right, Pam, have a good
day bike.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Here's always great talking to you too, you too, Bye
bye bye, all right, And we do the Morning Breeze
brain teas every weekday morning at this time.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Always invite you to play along.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Conversations that come out of it are always a kick like,
they're always so funny.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
We learned, we learn about each other, we learn about you,
we learn about us. I did not know about that
black eye. Yeah, from a true story being on your
cell phone. Why are at the chiropractice. It happens, It
just it just dropped. But yes, we do it every
weekday morning here at six twenty. Coming up this morning
eight fifty, we're going to be commercial free helping you
start your workday with ninety eight minutes NonStop, commercial free

(04:01):
relaxing favorites. So we'll be here eight fifty on the
Morning Breeze and ethrees.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
It's Huie Lewis and the news. It is six forty three.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Good morning, It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.
We do it every weekday morning at this time. I'm
talking about.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
The more you know.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
And it's brought to you today by Court Johnson. I
was actually thinking, I'm like, we have a sponsor on this.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
No, no, no, of course we don't. Uh, you were
talking about the sixth sense.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, really, let's review here real quickly. There, we've grown
up with five basic sense. The five senses of the
human body are sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. Right,
scientists say they have discovered a sense that is equal
in importance to those other five. And no, we're not
talking about sensing ghosts in the room. We're talking about

(04:52):
something in your gut that senses when you're full. Oh,
it's like a There are special cells they have now
id that identify microbes and bacterial signals.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
It's like a hunger sense in a weird way. Yeah,
and and everybody has it. Our ability to follow through
with it differs. Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Yeah, well I could tell you that firsthand as I
was eating a bowl of cheerios at eight thirty last night,
that I didn't need.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
If you were not getting the signals from.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
This sense was not happening, maybe I don't have it.
Oh that's interesting. So they're they're saying that they're willing
to change from the five senses, make it six. Yes,
because of this it is that important.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, and then it's equal importance. They're calling it neurobiotic
sense because it has to do with your gut transmitting
to your brain based on bacterial cues in your body.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
That's a lot more difficult than touch, smell site. I
know that, and then you have to kind of explain
what it means. I feel like, Yeah, what's interesting about
this And this is the part I don't like is
they did some experimenting on mice to figure this out,
where they removed that special cell from the mice and
they found those those I know, those mice would just

(06:07):
eat and not stop eating. Oh, they were getting no
sense between the gut and the brain.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
So there's some truth to it for sure, right, Like
they've proved proven that this is the thing. I just
think maybe I don't know if you know the people
that did this study Court, but if you could go
back and give them some feedback, and that would be
they need a new name.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Well it's researchers at Duke. So I have to same stage.
I don't have to book a plane to what are
they in North Carolina? South Carolina. We need you here,
we need you for this.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
There's a lot to do, but that's when I get
a per diem for flying and in all my food expenses.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I am not your boss. I don't know that isn't
their boss when he comes in. But that is very interesting.
It is interesting, and now you know, the more you know. Yes,
we do it every weekday morning here at six forty
you can reach us eight seven seven nine one nine
eight one.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Also reminds you that coming up this morning eight fifty,
we do this every weekday morning, ninety eight minutes of
NonStop commercial, free relaxing favorites.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Yep, we'll start that right at eight point fifty for
you to help you start your day. Here on the Breeze, it's.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and court an Ace of
Base at seven oh seven. It's time now for the
brighter side. If you're new to the Morning Breeze, first
of all, welcome, yes, but this is something we do
every weekday at this morning where we stop a moment
and talk about the positive things happening in our lives
or in your life. And these could be things happening
at home, at work, pretty much anywhere.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Right.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
If it brings a smile to your face, we want
to hear about it, big things, small things. Give us
a call eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight
one Brighter Side sponsored by Shreating Company, Luxury time Pieces,
Fine Designers and Flawless Diamonds.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Okay, it's Lee and Vallejo this morning on with us.
So you guys have hit a milestone in your family.
Tell us what happened.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
I got a one year old and he just learned
how to walk.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
You have a one year old? How much fun are
you having.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
We're having a lot of fun, a lot of less sleep.
We get this our child.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
So okay, you already knew what was coming going into it.
But still I would imagine every child feels like the
first for sure.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Yeah, that's sleep depation. You never get used to that,
you never do.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
It gets better in when they're teens, though, I'll give
you this from it personal experience. That is not helpful.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
The child is one that means he's got twelve more
years till Yeah, but you've got you've got a couple
of older kids, right, I'm assuming.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I do eight and five year old kid.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
So he's he's approaching this area and that eight year
old is probably a great help around the house with
the younger kids.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Yeah, but they you know they.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
So is this it for you? Or there's going to
be more?

Speaker 5 (08:44):
This is probably my wife? This is it?

Speaker 3 (08:47):
That's so neat though. Congratulations, what's this? What's your one
year old's name? Cairo k y r Oh, Well that's
a cool name.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Thank you, appreciate it. Yeah, me and my wife were
on our way to work. We were listening to the station.
We just figured we call in.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Well, we are glad you did, and we appreciate you listening.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Yeah, talking to you guys. We appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, I have a good day.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
By the way, is it appropriate if I say if
I ask somebody if they're gonna have more kids?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I think I think it's fine. I think it was
a great question to ask. I mean, thank you, they've
got three kids. I know you're we're wondering. Now, did
you just defencse.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Yeah, I know, And he just hung up, So now
we've lost him. But Lee, if you're offended, I'm really sorry.
I realized that right after we hung up with him, Like,
should I have asked that there are? Because I don't
have kids, so I don't know the dance with all that.
What you can say, what you can't say?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yeah, And I do know that some couple struggle to
have kids, and so right, the idea of family planning
is a little more sensitive. Yeah, but I think I
feel like Lee was uh he was cool that flowing
with the information.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
So it was fine. It's a good reminder for me
to be more sensitive. Yeah, I'm super.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
My advice to Lee and he probably already knows this
because he's got some kids that are a little older
is just like cherished this time because it's fleeting.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
It goes by so fast. I mean all those first
like his first steps and all that's all that.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Yeah, my youngest, my baby is about to start her
senior year in high school.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
And I just I in my mind, she's still that
little kid.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Oh, I absolutely feel that. You feel that way, yeah
with Sloan, Like Sloan's amazing and doing all these things
on her own and running a nail salon out of
your basement pretty much you possibly illegally, but in your eyes,
she's still four years old exactly. It's so cool, she's
my little baby. Well, that was a great brighter side. Lee,
Thank you again, and thank you and your wife for listening.
We're at eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.

(10:38):
If you have a brighter side from us, we want
to hear from you. And we also want to remind
you that tomorrow morning, at this time every Friday morning,
just after seven o'clock, we announce our new Morning Breeze
Person of the week.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
So that's coming up quick.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah, this is where we talk about good and great
people in the Bay Area who are going above and beyond,
serving their communities, serving their coworkers, serving their families in
all sorts of differ different ways. What you do is
hop on our website ninety eight one The Breeze dot
Com and you tell us about these things that they're doing.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Super eazy.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah, we want that standout person in your life, that
person that you feel like is really making a difference,
So tell us all about them. It takes just a
couple of minutes to to nominate somebody, So you've got
till tomorrow morning at seven o'clock. Again, like Court said,
ninety eight one the Breeze dot Com. That is Dobie Gray.
It is dripped away seven twenty eight Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Cord and let's get right into it. We're

(11:28):
talking about ask us anything which we do every weekday
morning at seven twenty five. We welcome your questions eight
seven seven eight eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one. You've got a question for us about
the show, about our lives behind the mic, just something random.
You can ask us anything. We have the answers for you,
or at least we have the opinions for you. I

(11:50):
feel like no topic is too random, too weird, too personal.
Will be able to try answer anything.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, all right, Michael in San Francisco, you're up ask
us anything.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
So here's my question. The talkback mike isn't that global,
but because it's it's part of the iHeartRadio app, which
allows people to listen to ninety eight point one the
Breeze anywhere. Yeah. Right, so you guys must get like
I mean, you guys getting like tens of thousands, the
nearly of top.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I wouldn't say millions, and I wouldn't even say ten ten. No, no, no,
we do get.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
We get a lot of talkbacks.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Our talkback feature on our iHeartRadio app that we always
mention is global. Yeah, you can listen to us anywhere
on our apps, so we get talkbacks from people in
other states that listen that have us on at work
in other states. We get talkbacks from people that listen
to us in their homes in other states. It's you
can literally listen anywhere and send a talkback from anywhere,
so it makes it really fun.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
The biggest key is you just as you're streaming the Breeze,
the red microphone button is right there and people can
click it.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
We get them all the time.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
I'm going to try and start using that more, especially
since you're telling me that it's not millions of people.
I was like, who's combing through these?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Yeah, we look at them personally.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
But I'm glad you asked that because we really do
listen to the talkbacks that come through. I think a
lot of people think they're never going to listen to mine.
We listen to every single one of them. Yeah, we
love the talkbacks, and the cool thing is you can
send them when it's convenient for you. You're driving, for
ratchare right now. You do it anytime.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
But every once in a while I want to be like, Okay,
I do want to say something on this, so I'm
going to use the talk back.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
And that's exactly what it is for. So Michael Great,
ask us anything thank you, and you.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Hit on it, Carolyn, if you're not able to send
us a talkback right at the very moment you're thinking
of something, maybe maybe you are driving and it's just
not safe to do it while you're driving. Get to
wherever you're going, even if it's after the morning breeze,
and you can click that red microphone button and send
us those talkbacks because it's super easy to do.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah, we have people that go on vacation. I remember
we got a talk back from Gino one time, who
was in Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Good morning, Carolyn in Court.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
This is your favorite traveling man, Gino.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
I am listening to you on our Heart Radio.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Live from the Colina Lagoons in Hawaii. Hope you guys
are having a great day.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
I'm enjoying your music.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Love you guys.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
See that's so cool. He's on vacation and thought to
send a talkback. How great is that?

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yeah, he send talkbacks from from Hawaii, obviously, but he's
also done it when he's been in Germany. He's as
like on a river cruise and he sent it on
the boat, which was pretty great.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
So neat so yes, that is the gist on our
talkback feature on our iHeart radio app super easy to use.
You have thirty seconds to record a message and it
comes to us right away. So that was a great
ask us anything, and again it just proves any question
is allowed, you'll try to answer it. Yeah, we do
it every weekday morning again at seven twenty five.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
You can send us a talkback.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
You can give us a call eight seven seven nine
eight one oh nine eight one.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
It's Human League here on ninety eight point one.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
The Breeze eight ten is the time you've got the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord or should we say
the Morning Breeze with Lawbreaker and Court?

Speaker 3 (15:11):
I know, Okay, So I got a ticket the other
day here in San Francisco, and I will tell you
that the ticket to me was not the most surprising
part of this encounter. Yeah, I will just say I
got a I don't want to say it's a baby ticket,
because it is a ticket is a ticket. I received
a ticket because I was obstructing traffic.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
You were going home from the city later than you
normally would, so the traffic patterns were different than what
you were used to correct a moondok, and you found
yourself you had to get on the Bay Bridge.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
And I was in the lane to get on the
Bay Bridge, but it was so backed up.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I got caught in the intersection.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Of Fifth and Breeze. Brandon or Bryan Bryant, Right, you're
near to Bryant, Right, you're near the iHeart studios. When
we broadcast from I got caught in that. Like the
traffic wasn't moving. I'm not used to leaving at that time. Anyway,
there was a motorcycle cop from Guessing the city. I
didn't pay attention, you know, when it happens. It happened
so fast, but he wasn't even on his motorcycle. He's
just like just standing there all over easy job.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
And he gave me a ticket.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
And I will say he was super super nice. And
if he's listening, that was me you gave that ticket to. Anyway,
the most shocking part of this was not so much
that I got the ticket for being caught up in
the intersection and allegedly obstructing breath. The shocking part to
me was it has been so long since I've gotten

(16:34):
a ticket court that I didn't know that you don't
sign for them anymore like a paper signature. It was
on his cell phone.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
It's like a digital pad, you like, just yeah, but
it was like a on the phone. Yeah, and I'm
sure it wasn't like his personal phone.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Yes, he handed me a phone and I did my
little squiggly signature, and then he went back to his
motorcycle and he printed out what looked like a target receipt.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
It was was like eight feet long, and it was
starting to curl up.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
You actually send it to me, you said, look at this,
and I'm like, why are you sending me a receipt
from CVS? Oh that's what you thought it was. I
thought it was a receiptious Oh wait a minute, this
is a ticket.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yes, that's exactly. So he just printed it off his
little motorcycle printer.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I'm sure he would really appreciate you calling it his
little motorcycle printer. It was, but yeah, I mean, it's
been that long. I couldn't believe what I mean. I
know technology, it has obviously evolved, but I didn't. I've
never thought about what have police officers done when it
comes to tickets. I expected to sign his little thing
and everything adds.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
You've got the three different versions, and he keeps copy
and you get a copy and goes to the court.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yes, he's got a clipboard.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
There's a clipboard involved, and then he puts my signature
in the clipboard and off he goes. Nope, he was
on his phone, printed up on his little cop printer
as you call it. I'm a motorcycle printer.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
I'm trying to think the last time, because I think
the last time I got a ticket, it was all paper,
like you signed a you got a pen, and you
actually signed it and acknowledged that you received it. And
the funny thing is people are asking me how much
was that ticket?

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Well, I don't know how to figure it out because
it doesn't say it like they used to give you
a ticket and it would say on the ticket, this
is however much money. I think I have to go
to a website now, enter my citation number and find.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Out that way that it's a whole deal. It's like
the lottery.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
I know.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Well, I saw a half till August fifteenth or something,
and I thought, I'm gonna kick this one down the
road a little bit.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
At a certain point, because this is the way things
are going. You're going to sign that ticket and then
he's going to turn the keypad back to you and
ask for a tip, because everybody's asking for tip these days, right,
It's such a good call and I want to give
it one to him.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
He's very nice and I did say thank you, and
it's not primary, just hey, you're doing a good job,
and he was. He was super nice.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
So anyway, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight one,
nine eight one. Stay with us because later this hour
we are going to be commercial free here on the
Breeze to start out your day.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, that means ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free,
relaxing favorites. So be here eight fifty on the Morning Breeze.
Music from Tears for Fears at eight nine Here on
ninety eight point one the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. It's the Morning Breeze, brain Tees.
It's sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're in Clean Hands
with Mike Counsel Plumbing. Visit them in mc plumbing dot com.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Today's question. According to a Facebook poll, seven percent of
people have been hit in the face by one of these.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Okay, eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
That is how you reach us. We're going to start
with you, Brooke in Fremond. What is your guest this morning?

Speaker 4 (19:29):
A ball? A ball?

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Have you ever had that happen with any sort of ball?

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Maybe multiple times? Actually multiple times day.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Well, I do hear a child in the background, so
this could be it could be a mishap.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
You got kids, A good chance it happens often. Yes,
Is that the answer of ball A ball is not
the answer we're looking for. I would kind of guess
this that number would be a little higher for the ball.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
Okay, all right, all right, have.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
A good day, Brook, good luck with all that.

Speaker 3 (20:03):

Rhode Island.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
You've got a guess. What's your guess?

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Pigeons?

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Pigeons? Oh, by a pigeon. I have to admit I
have been hit by a pigeon, but not in the
face you have.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Oh, yes, Well, are we talking about getting like hit
by a pigeon or we're getting hit by a pigeon's.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yes, that's what we're talking about. Pigeon food. I think
that's a great guess, but it's not the correct answer today. Dave.

care guys, Pam and Alameda, good morning. What's your guess?
A water balloon?

Speaker 6 (20:45):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Man, I can I can picture how that feels you.
Have you never been hit in the face by a
water can picture how it feels?

Speaker 6 (20:52):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yeah, I can remember how that feels. Yeah, have you, Pam?

Speaker 6 (20:57):
Oh? Yeah? Then kids, you know the water balloon.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
It's fun until it's not. Yeah, and then you have
to go pick up all the little pieces of latex
bloon all over the lawn.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
And inevitably, somebody always goes too far. There's always the
person that goes too far that ends up hurting somebody, and.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Then the game is over. You know what his name is?
Paul Hansons Michael Sparks for me? Oh okay, all Hanson?
Who's it for you? Pam? Who went too far?

Speaker 6 (21:26):
One older brother? He was always kind of dominant. Yeah,
wanted to be the top dog, you.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Know, classic brother, move right there. Classic.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
Yeah. He even wanted to put rocks and snowballs and
I wouldn't do it.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Oh my snowballs.

Speaker 6 (21:41):
He wanted to do that. I was like, oh my goodness,
no way.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
I feel like that carries a heavier penalty than getting
hit in the face with a water balloon.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
A rocket, A snowball is another level water bloon. The
answer it is not the correct answer.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
