Speaker 2 (00:05):
A little Billy Joel at six nineteen in the morning
never hurt anybody, Carolyn, you got that right, Court, it's
ninety eight point one The Breeze The Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court. Something else that doesn't hurt The Morning
Breeze Brain Teaze a little challenge for your mind early

(00:25):
at mc plumbing dot com. Okay, Today's question In a
new poll, when it comes to travel, five percent of
adults say they've never been here.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
All right, let's see what you think this morning. Eight
seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. That is
how you reach us, Brenda in Daily City. What do
you think?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
The answer is Alaska? Alaska, Alaska? Brenda, have you been
to Alaska? No, and I've never been to Alaska. Alaska
is not the answer.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I bet you the number of Americans that have been
to Alaska is is less than fifty percent, but it's
probably probably higher than five percent.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
But Brenda, it was fun playing with you, so thanks
for calling in and trying. Yes, there was fun and
we hope you have a good day.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Thanks a lot, have a great day, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Linda in Fremont, what do you think the answer is
to a ballgame?
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Okay, this one admittedly is a tough one. It is
a tough one.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
It's so broad, so broad.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
It is, and a ballgame is not the correct answer
this morning, Linda.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
You got it. Christina in Livermore, A good morning. You've
got a guess.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
How about outside their home state?
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Why would you say outside their home state? What makes
you guess?
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Well, because it's only five percent of people, so, you know,
fairly small. Most people, like you know, I've gone to Nevada,
but some people maybe they've never left California or whatever
their home state is.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Ristine in Livermore, you're reasoning in sound like, I mean,
such a strong argument. And why do you say that?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Court?
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Because because she's correct the aero.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
Oh nice, you got it, So I got bragging rights
for the day.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Oh yeah, totally. Make sure you tell everybody.
Speaker 5 (02:14):
You know it.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
No, that is awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
That's why I was kind of asking you, like, how
did you get to that answer? I wanted to hear
your thought process which was spot on.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Okay, great, well, thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
And it's always when you when you hear people they
tell you they've never been out of their homesteaate it
always you always kind of do a double take.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You're like, wow, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
And I've got people that live like in the same
city where we went to school, we went to high school.
They never left the city. I'm one of those people,
like I still live in my same city, but I
have left the state though. But yeah, I see why
that's a low number.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
But man, Christine, good job.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Just think it through. You'll probably figure it out. Yeah, maybe,
kind of sort of awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
The Morning the Morning Breeze brain teas we play every
weekday morning here at six twenty on the Breeze.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Coming up this later in the show. Later in the
show at eight fifty. Specifically, we're going to be commercial free,
helping you start your work day the right day with
ninety eight minutes commercial free.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Think you mean the right way, but yes, we'll do
that at eight to fifty, commercial free for ninety eight
minutes right here the Breeze. That is a song you
will hear only on the Breeze courtesy of Air Supply.
It is six forty Good morning, It is the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Corey.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
If you have ever been around a kid with an instrument,
or given a kid an instrument, I think you're going.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
To be able to relate with what I'm about to share.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Okay, So, my daughter, Quinn, she's a twenty year old
college student. In the last four or five years, she's
really gotten into playing the guitar. I gave her a
guitar and she writes her own songs.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
She sings.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
She's got a beautiful voice, so talented, super talented. The
other day she came to me and she said, hey, Dad,
you play the harmonica. And I'm like, yeah, it's one
of the facts you probably do.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I do.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I play harmonica self taught, and I said, yeah, I've
got a couple of them.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Let me and so I looked in a drawer and
I found one, gave it to her.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Now Quinn is everywhere she goes playing the harmona, and
she well.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
She's learning.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
And the thing about harmonica is you can that you
can take harmonica lessons, but it really is one of
those instruments just kind of have to feel your way through. Yes, yes,
sometimes you're blowing and sometimes you're sucking in the air.
And I was trying to explain it to her, and
I said, here's the best thing you can do is
find a song that's got harmonica in it and then
just try to like play along with it.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
And the best song out there with harmonica, yeah is
Billy Joel's Piano band. Oh that's such a good song. Yeah,
one of the best songs that uses harmonica.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah. So I said, find find that.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Just listen to it, play it you're gonna like, and
then just feel your way through it. And so she's like, okay, dad,
So she took that as an assignment.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Oh gosh, oh no, okay, just for reference, it's yeah, okay,
not complicated, instantly recognized, good, okay, Okay, that's Billy.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
So I give her this harmonica while she's home, visiting, home, visiting, uh,
and she goes back to college and the next thing
I know, this happens and you're playing along with that.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's her, she's playing along with it. That's really good.
Over and over again.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I've been I've been seeing just video after video of
her college roommates and friends. They'll basically just get in
the car and she'll be like, hey, watch this and
she'll put on the piano.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Man, I love her friends laughing at her.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
That's my favorite part is their friends laughing.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
But she sounds like and I think that friend's feedback
to her was like, hey, every time you do it,
you get a little better.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
That sounded pretty good to me. Good for Quinn. That's
a skill though, to be able to teach yourself an instrument.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Oh for sure. Yeah, she's even got because I had
one of these. I got her one of those little
contraptions you put it around your neck. Oh that's for
the really talent harmonica. Who else says it like Bob Dylan? Okay, yeah, yeah,
yeah for you. So cool man, Quinn, go, that is awesome.
You have created a little bit of a monster.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Because the harmonica, you can take it everywhere and some
songs need harmonica and some songs don't.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
That's awesome. Well, we're an eight seven seven nine eight one.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
I have a friend next door, neighbor James, that he's
recently got released from being incarcerated and he's trying to
get on the seat and I've been helping him, you know,
get transportation and get a job, and motivated him to
get his license, and I've been doing a lot of
work with him.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Yeah, you're kind of like an angel.
Speaker 3 (08:36):

people in their community, people in this case, that have
been incarcerated, that are looking to transition back into regular
day life. Yeah, they need people there to help them.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Like what if Bruce, his neighbor that he referred to,
didn't have Bruce right, how would his life go? You're
totally right. I mean, like I said earlier, we need
more Bruces in the world. So we appreciate your phone call.

Oh sure, it could be about anything.
Speaker 3 (09:57):

I don't want to put it. I don't want to
put a time Do you think a year or less
than a year. Let's say a year within.

I always thought Madonna was like an adopted stage name,

But she was a Madonna and her mom. She's named
after her mom.
Speaker 3 (13:27):

Speaking of that, speaking of names and what you were
named as a baby, So they are saying Court that
baby names from this one particular generation are starting to
make a comeback, And I'd like to welcome back the
nineteen sixties.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Nineteen sixties where.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Baby names are making a comeback from the nineteen sixties.
So let's think about where we are now in twenty
twenty five. I just look this up. Popular baby names
in twenty twenty five. We're talking to Olivia, Emma, Liam, Kai, Rowan, Amelia,
and then nature inspired names like River and Willow. Sure
those are very popular.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Now.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Emma, I think the name Emma has been popular for decades.
That's a good point that Emma shows up in every
single classic. Yeah, so some of the names on the
list from the nineteen sixties, these again are baby names
that are making a comeback. Number one on the list
Lisa Lisa, that's considered a nineteen sixties name.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
I guess so. Number two on the list, Michael Michael,
that's a classic. Also Mary, David, Susan, Mark, and John.
They couldn't be I mean, hey, great names could not
be more generic.
Speaker 1 (14:39):

think there were a lot of Bretts born in the
nineteen sixties. My oldest brother was born in the mid
early mid sixties, and he's a Brett. Oh, we have
a Bradley that nineteen sixties ish. Yeah, what about a Russell?
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Yeah okay, I didn't Just so you know, I didn't
write this study, but I'm gonna I agree with what
you're suggesting.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yes, so these are making a quote comeback. They're making
a comeback.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
So the names that are, you know, just different, are
making their way out and I should say original, they're
making their way out and income these names from the sixties.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Again, I was.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Hoping you were going to say, like a generation like
further back, like my grandparents' generation.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Like Walt Walt. My grandpa was a Wallace. Oh yeah,
my grandpa was a Kenneth. Okay, and I love that. Yeah.
My grandma on the other side, Mildred. Oh, come on back, Mildred.
You name mild Mildred.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
