Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breeze on demand, The Righteous
Brothers six seventeen. Good morning, it is the Morning Breeze.
It's Carolyn and Court. We're gonna get right into it.
The Morning Breeze Brain Teas, which you know we do
every weekday morning at this time, sponsored by my Counsel Plumbing.
You're in clean hands with my Council Plumbing. Visit them

(00:20):
at mc plumbing dot com. Court, I know you're about
to give the question again, but I just feel like
this one there's an obvious guess, and then there's gonna
be the court answer, like it's your Your answers are
never the obvious ones. But I'm curious to know what
people are gonna come up with.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
But sometimes I think it's more obvious than you think.
Here's the call, here's the question. Okay, if it's gonna happen,
this is most likely to happen within twenty seven minutes
into a road trip.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Okay, let's see how it goes here. Eight seven seven nine,
eight one oh nine eight one. Sue in Santa Rosa.
We're starting with you.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
What do you think you could go to the bathroom
stop drinking before you get into twenty seven minutes is
so specific too.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's not twenty eight, not thirty, not twenty five, twenty seven.
So as obvious as that feels like it could be
the right answer, right, it's not this morning.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I mean, I think that was the number one solid guest. Yeah, yeah,
thank you for calling, Sue. Have a good rest of
your day, all right, thanks bye, Sharon and Alameda, good morning.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
What do you think that bathroom break?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Another vote for a bathroom break? When you go on
a road trip, how many? How often are your stops?
We'll say, well, I drive from here to Utah and
and I try to stop only once.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
But when you're drinking liquids, it doesn't help.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
So try to stop once between here and Utah long
road trip is once. How do you do that?

Speaker 5 (01:46):
I don't drink anything.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
You can't. You're basically starving yourself and dehydrating yourself. That
you're life. But I didn't want to stop. It's like
a dad, it's for the greater good. Yeah, I didn't
want to stop.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Everybody now I always have to tell my wife before
we're heading out on a road trip to have Tiller
stop drinking.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Oh yeah, you don't get that. Coffee. Now I've got
to plan. You should introduce Sor to Sharon. Sharon's got
it down right, Okay, So I think Sharon didn't get it.
So didn't get it. I feel like everybody's gonna guess
road is gonna guess a bathroom break.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yeah, which again is not the right answer, I know.
So what is the answer again? If it's gonna happen,
this is most likely to happen within twenty seven minutes
into a road trip.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, an argument, oh and argue twenty seven minutes. I
feel like an argument argument would be on the way home,
when you're tired, you're hot, I.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Mean, I mean, I mean maybe, but it would probably
start at the beginning again, at the beginning of that
trip home. But I think whether you're going somewhere or
coming from somewhere, if you're gonna argue, it's gonna happen
within twenty seven minutes.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Typically it's like, Hey, did you remember our passports? Did
that happen? Wow?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I'm we I don't think we've ever forgotten our passports,
especially on a road trip. But I do remember we
were we were going to Mexico in here, and I
looked at the girls' passports and they had both expired
and we were leaving in like five days. Oh, so
I had to had to run to the I had
to go to the physical passport office and do a
rush job.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
That's awful. There may have been a slight. I don't
know if it was an argument. Yeah, come to think
of it, my family had loaded up the family truckster
and we were going to Vegas one time, my brother
Scott forgot his license. Yeah, and my dad was so mad.
It's because it was rush hour traffic. Typically about something
that's that was gotten and not packed. Yeah, that's that

(03:40):
was a good one. All right. Morning Breeze brain teas
every weekday morning at six twenty that's when we invite
you to play along with us.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Hey, many of you maybe wonder yourself, Hey, does the
Morning Breeze have more Disneyland Resort tickets to give away?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Of course we do.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yeah, all week long we've been giving these away and
eight oh five in the morning and then again at
four oh five in the afternoon. So coming up this
morning eight oh five, another chance to win four tickets
to the Disneyland resortrees.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
That is Charlie Pooth. It's see you again. It is
six forty good morning, Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
There is something you're doing every single day that experts say.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
You should probably stop. I cannot wait. And you said
that this is maybe gonna save me a little bit
of time. Absolutely ends on how long you shower. Skin
experts some may call them dermatologists. I think that's by
some you mean everybody, but yes, say that showering daily
may be excessive for most people. I've heard this because

(04:38):
you need the oils on your body exactly right or
your skin dries out.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, these experts say overcleansing, which is your shower routine,
your dermatologists, your loofahs and your your back balms, and
all that stuff strips away your body's natural oils. They
also describe this as your protective microbiome that surrounds your
body HM naturally protects you. And when you when you
scrub that away every single day, it leads to dry skin, irritation,

(05:05):
micro cracks.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Micro cracks. I don't know what sounds bad. Yeah, do
you shower every day? I do?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
And in fact, when I work out, I will take
another quick quick shower afterwards to get all the sweat
off of me.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Oh yeah, because you shower in the morning too. Yeah, wow,
I can't. I don't feel awake unless I shower. Yeah,
I feel.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Weird not showering one of one of my two showers
involves you know, the soap.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh, the the all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
But according to these skin experts, I might be overdoing it.
They do say for people who are not exposed to
heavy sweat grime, or if you like or work around
like industrial pea, yeah yeah, that showering every two to
three days is the way to go.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
This is like a dream study. I hate showering. I
absolutely hate it. I do it, don't worry. I despise it.
My youngest daughter informed my wife and I the other day.
She's like, this was over the weekend. She's like, sick,
I'm on my third day of not showering. Hey, huh.
She's like, I think that's a bad thing. Well, now
I know it's a good thing technically. Not well, I know.

(06:10):
I've always known that, like with your hair, you're not
supposed to wash your hair every day. So I do
wash my hair every other day, sometimes three. But oh,
my my wife is a once a week, once a washer.
There's no way, Court, you would not want to You
wouldn't want to be in this room. Our room is
way too small for me to roll those roll the
dice on that. But that is so good to know.
Two to three days take that shower, so informative. I

(06:31):
love it. Okay, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight,
one oh nine eight one. Coming up this morning eight
oh five, we're going to have another chance for you
to win those tickets to Disneyland and the Disneyland Resort
where they're celebrating seventy years.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, no better time to visit the happiest place on earth.
So we would love to send you courtesy of the
Morning Breeze. So be here eight oh five, next chance
to win, Here on the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Extraet boys, seven oh seven, Here on the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. Let's do the Brighter Side. We
always love hearing from you, hearing about the things that
make you happy in life, for things that you've got
coming up that you're excited about. That is what the
Brighter Side is all about. A chance for you to
call us and tell us those good things.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah, you're you're identifying the positive things in your life
and then you're sharing them with the world.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
We always get feedback from people saying, I love the
Brighter Side because it's such a great way to start
the day. It is. We are at eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one if you have
a brighter side for us A sponsored by Shreeven Company,
Luxury time Pieces, find Designers and Flawless Diamonds. Good morning
to Gail in San Jose. All right, we know your teacher.
When is your last day?

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Next Friday?

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Next? Oh boy, how excited are you?

Speaker 4 (07:38):
I'm excited. I meant. I have such a busy summer.
I'm a delegate to the church conference. I have been
since twenty sixteen, so I'll be going there for five
days and then I'm going to a conference in Texas
for a week.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
You're almost busier in the summer, I think, so, well, vacation,
you know.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
And we don't you know, it's not like when I
was a kid and we got off right after Memorial
Day and then we go back up your labor day.
I mean, we're back the first week of August. So
it's like there's basically six weeks in the summer.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Well, gall it sounds like you're going to be busy
even though it is summer vacation, but hopefully you take
some time for yourself.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, have a great rest of your day. Thanks for
calling in, calculator.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I used to always wonder, Carolyn, how teachers spend their summers.
Me too, and for a brief time, I thought I
should become a teacher because you get that big long
summer break.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Right. It sounds great, but is it like it's got
to be great? But they work long hours during the
school years, easily the hardest workers out there. Yeah, to
all of the teachers, congratulations on your summer break though,
we hope you enjoy. And Gail, thank you again for
your brighter side. If you've got one for us eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. Coming
up this morning, just a little less than an hour

(08:47):
from right now, eight oh five, We've got another chance
for you to enjoy the Disneyland Resort as they celebrate
seventy years. Oh my gosh, you and the family going
to the Disneyland Resort. I've got a chance for you
to win four tike. It's to go help them celebrate.
Be here at eight oh five for your chance to
win those tickets on the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court and Smokey Robinson at seven twenty six.

(09:11):
Because it's seven twenty six, it's that time of the
morning where we turn the show kind of over to you. Yeah,
it's it's like open mic night at the local club.
Metaphorically speaking, Oh, I love your analogy.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
We hand the mic to you. You ask us anything,
and it really could be about anything. Something happening on
the show, something happening in the world. Eight seven seven
nine eight one nine eight one. Also send us those
questions via our talk back on our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, we've had a little bit of everything this week.
It's been really good. It's Dina in Castro Valley. Good morning,
ask us anything. Dina, my fifteen year old daughter, said,
what's your favorite experience being on the radio show? What?
What's your daughter's name?

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Lena?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Lina say, hi, Hi, Hi, Lena. It's a very thoughtful question.
What a profound question that is.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
So both of us have been in RADI for majority
of our lives, right, yeah, yeah, man, so much to
think of.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Favorite experience experience. I think my favorite experience it's Lena
and Dina. I just realized this. My favorite experience is
probably the very first time I talked on the radio,
which was an overnight shift on Christmas Eve. Wow, talk
about the shift where they don't want anyone talking on
the radio, right, And I turned on the mic and

(10:25):
I said the station name, and I turned off the mic,
and I'm like, this is meant for me. And I've
been on the air ever since.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
That's so fun.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yeah, that's so amazing. I think for me, it was
when my daughters were younger. I used to grab them
to have them do voiceover work for the morning show
that I was on. Yeah, and so every now and
then you'd hear a little Quinn or a little Sloan
saying the slogan of the radio station. That's pretty cool,
super cute. What a sweet question that was, Dina tell Lena.

(10:55):
We said, thank you, Okay, definitely, Well, I have a
great day. We really appreciate you listening.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
It is interesting to think about because there are so
many probably moments in our careers that are special to us. Yeah,
back to my daughter's quinnin Sloan. Another thing that I've
loved is if I'm driving in the car with them
later in the day, and we're listening to the Breeze,
for example, and a commercial comes on that I'm on.
They always look at me and try to see what
my reaction is going about, because's like, you're right there,

(11:23):
but I'm also hearing you on the radio.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
People that always ask is it weird to hear yourself
on the radio, And I'm like, I don't even I
don't even notice. It's white noise to you, it's white
noise to me.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Yeah, I still love. I love to hear you. I
love to hear me. You do you nerd out on this?
That's cute. Well, thanks Cord. We're at eight seven seven
eight one, nine eight one. Again. It's ask us anything.
We do it every weekday morning. By the way, it
doesn't have to be about the show. We're always happy
to answer those questions, but it doesn't have to be
like whatever. You know, We've had a little bit of everything,

(11:53):
like and center of things that you're just curious about
about anybody. Yeah, yeah, and send us a talk back
as well. Coming up in just a few May. That's
seven thirty five.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Once again, we've got more tickets for you to go
check out the Alameda County Fair coming up June thirteenth
through July sixth.

about good old fashioned family fun. It's exactly right. That
is what the fair is. And we can't wait to
send you be here just a few minutes seven thirty
five your chance to win on the Breeze. It's the

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Bye?

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Good morning? My name is Marissa.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Marissa, where are you listening to us?

Speaker 4 (13:27):
Honestly, I'm at my job and I will work out
of town.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
So wait, you work out of town? But do you
live in the May area?

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Wow, so you're out of town? Where where exactly are
you right now? I work in California, Los Banos. So
you took the breeze all the way to Los Bonos
or Banos and you're listening to us. I'm assuming on
our app, our iHeartRadio app, just trying to win Disneyland
Resort tickets. Yes, well, that is some dedication. That's a

(13:59):
for effort, right there.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
I love every morning. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
That is so sweet. Well, we have some pretty good
news for you. Yeah, that effort has paid off.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
You won.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
How many kids do you have?

Speaker 5 (14:20):
I have.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
This is great. Well, all your kids tickets are paid for.
We got four tickets for you.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Hey, thank you guys so much.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
You're welcome.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Vacation, summer vacation, right, it is.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
No, it's absolutely going to be the best summer vacation.
You and the kids heading down to the Disneyland Resort.
That's right.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
So, Marissa, you've got yourself for to day one park
per day Disneyland Resort tickets. At the Disneyland Resort, the
happiest place on earth. You're going to find all kinds
of happy. And there's no better time to visit than
right now because the Disneyland Resort seventieth celebration happening now,
so be sure to check that out. Yeah, and also
don't forget another chance to win four oh five this

(15:02):
afternoon with our good friend Tony Sandival.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah, so much fun. I know Tony is enjoying giving
away these tickets as well. So congratulations again, Marissa, and
good luck to everybody at four oh five today. So
much fun. Summer is here and it feels right. You
know what doesn't feel right, Court, is I have a
It's got to be a self inflicted injury. You know,
when you're young and you. I remember those days. Can

(15:26):
you hear you used to hear your parents complaining about
injuries that like, my back hurts and I don't know why,
or I've got whatever going on. So the other day
I was down on the floor just petting Perk. Yeah,
he was here at work. As a matter of fact.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah, for those of you that don't know, Carolyn's dog,
Perk is our studio dog. Yeah, and there are basically
if we're not talking on the radio, there's a good
chance Carolyn is down on the floor loving on Perk.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
That is true because she's so cute. But the other
day I got up off the floor. I'm like, did
I just do something to my back? It was the
total old person injury where I got up And by
the way, I don't see myself as old, but this
is when we were a kid. Mom got up off
the floor and now she threw her.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Back out right, that's me. Now, this is you just
literally like casually getting up off the floor, and.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
I think I popped a rib out on my back.
And now I'm hitting YouTube videos behind the scenes while
I'm not patting my dog on the floor trying to
figure out how to pop your own rib.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Back in well years years ago. My daughter was having
like a night terror, a nightmare. Oh and I heard
her crying down in a room, and I bolted out
of bed to go see what was going on. And
I cracked a rib just from bolting out of the bed.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
You didn't run into anything and just crack. I literally
just jumped out of bed.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
And that motion of jumping out out of the bed
like I had to go to the doctor multiple times.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Oh my god, medication. That's when I knew I was old.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
So rib injuries. I'm feeling for you. It hurts, yeah,
and I'm like, breathe.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
I'm too embarrassed to call my chiropractor because he's going
to go, how did you do you do this so
he can diagnose, And I'm going to say I was
on the floor petting my dog and stood up. I
stood up. This is how you know you're getting older.
But it happens to everybody. If you've got a silly injury,
you can always send us a talkback our iHeartRadio app
call us eight seven seven nine one, nine eight one.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Coming up this morning, eight fifty. As you begin your workday,
We're going to help you out. Ninety eight minutes of NonStop,
commercial free, relaxing favorites coming your way.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Yeah, I've taken a peek as to what's coming up.
We've got Alicia Keys in there in Chicago and the
Beg's Brian Adams. A great list commercial free for ninety
eight minutes. We'll start that at eight to fifty. Here
on the Breeze, it's Carolyn and Court on the Morning Breeze.
I was talking a couple of minutes ago about this
mystery injury I have with my back. I was petting
the dog on the floor, got up and now I

(17:46):
have got a rib out or something. Something's wrong on
my back. It's just like these silly injuries as you
get older, they just happen. Yeah, and Carolyn, we just
got to talk back about it.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
I feel you're paying Carolyn. I still am going to
to the stage where you do a normal thing and
then you've got.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
An injury or a pain.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
But now I have graduated to the level of finding.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Like big bruises and you have no idea how they
go there, and trying to avoid it is like a
full time job.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
I am past the stage of finding that happened a
long time ago. Random bruises on my body.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
How do I do that?

Speaker 2 (18:22):
I feel bad that I'm sitting here laughing, but I'm
laughing because I relate and I feel like I started
to fall apart at a young age. I remember being
in college and happened to wear one of those boots around.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I had a boot on my foot. Yeah, for an injury.
I couldn't even explain what happened to you. I have
no idea, but here's a boot for three months. The
beautiful voice of Christina Perry. That is a thousand years.
At six forty one, the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cordon.
It is time for the Morning Breeze brain Teas, which
we do every weekday morning here at eight forty It's

(18:56):
a good way to start the day. Then you show
up to work and you're like sharp, yeah, brain is
already in motion. Yeah. They're gonna be like, man, you're
on it today. What happened? You're like, well, I listened
to the Morning Breeze brain Teas on the Breeze and
here I am ready to go. Brain Teas sponsored by
my Council Plumbing. You're in clean hands with my Council Plumbing,
and you can visit them at mc plumbing dot com.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Right, here's today's clue or question. If this is gonna happen,
it's most likely to happen within twenty seven minutes into
a road trip.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Twenty seven minutes, Okay, eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one. That is how you reach us.
It's Sue and Santa Rosa. You're up first. What do
you think you.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Could go to the bathroom stop drinking before you get
into the twenty seven minutes is so specific too, It's
not twenty eight, not thirty, not twenty five, twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
So as obvious as that feels like, could be the
right answer, right, it's not this morning.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
It was.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
I mean I think that was the number one solid guest. Yeah, yeah,
thank you for calling, Sue. Have a good rest of
your day, all right, thanks bye, Sharon and Amita, good morning.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
What do you think that bathroom break?

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Another vote for bathroom break? When you go on a
road trip, how many? How often are your stops? We'll say, well,
I drive.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
From here to Utah and and I try to stop
only one. But when you're drinking liquid, it doesn't help, soay.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Try to stop once between here and Utah. Long road trip.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Is once, how do you do that? I don't drink anything.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
If you can't, you're basically starving yourself and dehydrating yourself.
But you're like, but I didn't want to stop. It's
like a dad, it's for the greater good. Yeah, I
didn't want to stop.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Everybody.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Now I always have to tell my wife before we're
heading out on a road trip to I have to
tell her stop drinking. Oh, yeah, you don't need that coffee.
Now I've got to plan. You should introduce her to Sharon.
Sharon's got it down right. And by the way, Court,
you are from Utah. So if you were to drive
to Utah right now from the Bay area, R oh,
that's a that's a long haul. When I grew up,

(20:56):
when we visited California, we never flew.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
We always drove. There were just too many kids in
my family. How many expensive stops would you make? Not
one like Sharon, I don't remember, but I remember, because
this was like late seventies, early eighties. My parents would
throw us in the back of the van or the
suburban that we had, and we had a cooler of
soda back there. Your dream.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
I'm sure we just went to town. So I'm sure
we were stopping at every single rest stop.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah, your parents, with that many kids, how many stops
they would have to make? Oh my gosh. By the way,
what is the answer to this?

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yes, obviously that's not the answer. If it's gonna happen,
it's gonna happen. Within twenty seven minutes into a road trip.
We're talking about an argument. Oh, a little disagreement.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
You get in the car and you're in a good
mood because here we go, and then twenty seven minutes
in you take that sharp right with the family.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Hey, let's rough. Hey you packed the phone chargers, right? Yeah,
I thought you packed the phone chargers.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
I remember we load We said you were going to
pack the phone ar We loaded up our family and
the family truckster. Many years ago. We were going to
go to Vegas and we got on Highway twenty four
during rush hour traffic. My brother Scott said, I forgot
my driver's license. My dad about hit the roof. We
did turn around to turn around.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Necessary when you forget something, twenty seven minutes isn't too bad,
especially if you're going a really long distance, you have
no excuse.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, but if you're my dad and you're taking the
family of the airport. The fact that I still remember
it to this day should tell you everything. Oh yeah,
we're at eight seven, seven nine, eight one oh nine
eight one The Morning Bree's Brain Teas we play every
weekday morning right at this time, right around eight forty.
Coming up in just a few minutes eight fifty, we're

(22:38):
