Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
The Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Sinal Richie here on ninety eight point one. The Breeze
six point twenty one is the time you've got the
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. We're here to make
your morning's bright and smarter. Oh okay with the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Brain tease. That's what we're doing, right. That's no confirmed.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Making the Bay Area more intelligent, one brain tease at
a time.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
It's sponsored by Mike Counsel Plumbing. You're in clean hands
with Mike Counsel Plumbing. Visit them at mc plumbing dot com. Okay,
scientists say doing this one simple thing every day can
make your brain more efficient.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
I can't wait to see what today's answer is. This
is a good one. Eight seven seven nine one nine
eight one. We're going to start with you, Brittany in
San Francisco, Good morning. What do you think the answer is?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Meditation?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Meditation? Man, that's such a good call. That's probably pretty accurate.
Do you meditate every day?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Brittany?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
As a therapist, I know that this is a way
to boost efficiency that you you would know, you're the
expert in the room. Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Well, I love the answer, and I'm not going to
call you wrong because you are a therapist, but I
am going to say it's not the answer we're looking
for today.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I love though that Brittany's a therapist and you're like,
I have proof that this works.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And now Court is like.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Nope, not the answer, Brittany, have a great day.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
That's how the brain teas works.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Awesome, boy, I appreciate the conversation.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I love this to start the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Oh, thank you. Well, we hope you have a good day.
Thanks for listening. Cheryl in Sonoma. What do you think
the answer is?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Drink coffee?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Drink coffee totally?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Do you?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Are you a morning coffee like? You gotta have it?
First thing I do.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I make my own I make my own latte.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Actually with the boement.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Okay, give us the breakdown on that. What goes into it?

Speaker 1 (01:54):
So I have an espristle maker, which is a commercial machine.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Makes delicious coffee.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
That's the one with the commercial with George Clooney.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Ooh, Cheryl fancy in these days, Eva Longoria, Oh she's there.
Oh that's true.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I want to come to your house for a cup
of coffee before work every morning. Yeah, what's your adgre
What are you doing at four fifteen am every weekday morning?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Drinking coffee? Is great, but it's not the correct answer
this morning. All right, Cheryl, thank you for calling. All right,
Jordan and san Mateo. What do you think is it
making your bed? Making your bed?

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Oh that I had a great way to kick off
your day by making your bed. You get out, you
make your bed, and you're like, I am organized, I
am ready to go today.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, my brain's not efficient then, because that bed doesn't
get made.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Until later in the day. Is making your bed the answer? No,
but it's a great reply, a great answer. The correct
answer is scientists say using your other hand every single
day will make your brain more efficient. Oh, keeping you sharps.
So if you're right.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Handed, use your left hand to do not necessarily right
but just to do other things that you might use
you usually use your right.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Hand for it. You're gonna try it. Jordan is open
to new ideas.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Jordan's all right, Well you have have a great day.
Thanks for listening. Thank you, you have a wonderful day
to thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I was just thinking the trick for me is I
have to remember to use my other hand, which will
make my brain more efficient right there, just remembering the
act of intentionally using my left hand.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
You push a lot of buttons over there, because you
are in the sitting in front of the big chair,
in the big chair the control board here in the
Breeze studio. So why not try to the buttons you
normally push with your right hand push with your left hand,
and vice versa.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
That might be, that might not be great. All right,
from from now out now on.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
It's like Court said, so here any mistakes, yep, then
we know what happened.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Well that's usually me anyway. So so attracts morning Breeze
brain teas. We do it every weekday morning here at
six and coming up this morning at eight oh five.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
We did it last week. We had so much fun.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
We went back to our friends at the Disneyland Resort
and we were like, our listeners really enjoyed this.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Can we do it again?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
And they said yes, yeah, in fact, two chances to
win every single day this week. So eight oh five
this morning with us and then four oh five with
our good friend Tony Sandival, your chance to win four
to two day, one park per day Disneyland Resort tickets.
It's pretty great as they celebrate seventy years in the parks.
Will be here eight oh five, Next chance to win
on The Morning Breeze and.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Louise, Daryl Hall and John Oates at six forty one.
Good Morning, It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and
Core Carolyn.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Have you ever noticed how much better a sandwich tastes
when someone else makes.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
It for you? That is very true. Yeah, well, there
apparently is a scientific reason for it. Really.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
One of our fine establishments here in the United States
spend probably a lot of money in time researching this
at the Cardegie mel In University, Oh, proving that people
prefer the taste of sandwiches made by other people as
opposed to the ones they made for themselves. Yeah, but
the science kind of went further. They use sandwiches as
their like example. Yeah, but they said this applies to

(05:14):
all foods.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
I was just gonna say, I feel like this is
true for everything. Yeah, try to make Thai food at
home or Chinese food at home.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Never the same. That sounds that sounds like you're just
not a very good cook. That's what that's me.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Here's here's the wow. And you're never invited over here.
Here's here's the reason why. When you are making food
for yourself. YEA, like a sandwich, you spend time thinking
about that sandwich as you're making it, and that time
spent thinking about it while you're making it makes you
enjoy it less later.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
It's like you enjoyed it while you were making it,
and now you're eating it and the fun is already over.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
They actually call it, you pre consumed it. In your brain,
You're like, I'm gonna make the sandwich. It's gonna have
some provoloon on it. I'm gonna put some ham, and
maybe if i'm that's bacon, I'll throw some bacon in there.
And in your mind you're like, Oh, this is gonna
be so good.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
And then when you sit.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Down to eat it, you're like, oh, I'm gonna go
back to the very beginning of this conversation when you
said somebody spent a lot of money, Yeah, on something
that's a huge waste of time. But it is interesting
to know that this is true.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
I found this, You are right.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
I found this out when I was in high school.
My high school had a salad bar, yeah, which was
just crazy that our high school had a salad bar
that's awesome. And I would go make a salad and
I never liked it. So at a certain point my
high school girlfriend h would make my salad for me.
It was just better, and it was always better.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
That's so true. Yeah, I mean just I never thought
about this, but you're so right. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
When my wife makes me food, I just always appreciate
it and love it more than if I just made
it myself.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
What a mind trick.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
It's because we're pre consuming it in our brain, and
for some reason, we don't do that when somebody else
is making it.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
For time check six forty four, and you just blew
my mind already today. That's what I'm here for a
good study, all.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Right, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight nine eight one.
I wonder if there is something for people listening that
you swear tastes better when someone else makes it. You've
tried to recreate it on your own, it's not happening.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
I'm the same. Send us a talk back as well
with our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Coming up this morning eighth five. Once again another chance
for you to enjoy yourself and three others inside the
Disneyland Resort as they celebrate seventy years.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
You're gonna have such a good time at the park.
And how about the weather we've been having. Go down
there within the next couple of weeks and just enjoy
before it gets too hot and go whatever. Be here
at eight oh five your chance to win those tickets.
Here on the Breeze, It's Billy Joel seven oh seven,
Good morning, Happy Monday morning. It's the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court. Every weekday morning at this time, we

(07:45):
bring you the Brighter's Side. We love hearing from you
and hearing about the great things that are happening in
your lives. And let's be honest, they don't have to
be like really big, over the top things. They could
be just simple things that you're grateful for everyday, things
that maybe bring a smile to your face exactly. That's
what the Brighter Side is all about. It's sponsored by
Shriven Company, Luxury time pieces, fine designers and Flawless Diamonds.

(08:07):
And you can reach us with your Brighter Side eight
seven seven nine eight one nine eight one, or send
us a talk back.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Good morning to Jay and Elsto. We understand you have
good news and bad news.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Good news it is we sold the house.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Hey, correct, good.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
The bad news is we sold the.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
House, yeah, leaving us.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
This is the hardest movie we've ever made.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
What's making it so hard?

Speaker 1 (08:31):
The grand babies are here?

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yeah, so emotionally, Yeah, that's got to be really hard,
especially when the house sells. It's got to become very real.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Yeah, yeah it was. Yeah, it hit home the minute
he said they accepted our off product.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Boh really yeah, we're not quite sure we wanted to
sell after all.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Well, you know, I kept playing the lottery because if
I hit the lottery, I wouldn't have sold. ID just
kept us one too.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Where are you guys moving.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
To Nashville, Alabama?

Speaker 4 (09:02):
So let's reframe this. What are you excited about with
the move? That is a huge sacrifice for Gash.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Gallon.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
See, I'm looking forward to my wife being able to
spend some time with her siblings before they get you know,
too old to hang out.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah, so her family's there.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yeah. And then I have a couple because of several
in Atlanta and then one actually in Birmingham.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
So I think the most important question here is do
you have our iHeartRadio app downloaded on your phone?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
So you can take us with you.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I don't, but I will, good man, Jay, definitely will.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Hey, Jay, I was just doing some quick research. By
the way, you moving to Alabama. My my oldest niece
lives in Alabama and according to uh the Google maps
over here, she's only an hour away from you. So
so now you've got some great neighbors an hour away.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
She is the best. What does she live She lives
in Coleman Towards.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah. Yeah, that's the one area my family said don't
move to.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Oh okay, never mind.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Then all right, talk to you too, Jay, So keep
us posted on everything going on.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, I have a good day too. Bye.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I was thinking about this because if you've ever moved
as an adult, it doesn't matter I think what age
you are.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
It's kind of exciting and scary at the same time. Yes,
I haven't moved in so long. I mean as an
adult in your twenties. I think it doesn't really count, right,
I guess it can. But now I'm talking like when
you get when you're in your thirties, when you're a
little more established, definitely in your forties and fifties. So
I we moved when my family moved from Salt Lake

(10:48):
City to Portland. Yeah, fifteen, sixteen years ago. However, long
ago that was I was pretty scary. We had two
young kids. That would be scary then. And then the
move from Portland down here to the Bay Area a
couple of years ago, that was scary. Yeah, but now
look how happy you are. Yeah. So it worked out,
zero regrets.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
You love it.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
But there's the gambles.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
You're living your life like Jay is leaving his life
behind here to totally try something new. I mean, granted
he's got family there, but still it is You're right,
I mean, it's it's a gamble, but you're well.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
People liked me, Yeah, Will I be accepted? Yeah, I
like my neighbors. Jay, You're going to be great. They're
gonna love you.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
We're at eight seven seven, nine, eighth nine eight one.
If you've got a brighter side for us, And we
are very excited because coming up at eight oh five
this morning, we were officially less than an hour away
from your next chance to win tickets to the Disneyland Resort.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yeah, the Disneyland Resort seventieth celebration is underway. Now no
better time for you to go down to the park
and enjoy yourself, and we're going to help you with
that with four two day, one park per day Disneyland
Resort tickets.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yes, we'll do that. At eight oh five.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Right here on the Breeze, it's.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and Dan Hartman
at seven twenty six mentioned it's the Morning Breeze ninety
eight point one The Breeze and time now for ask
us anything. This is where anything goes, no script, no filter. Yeah,
you kind of decide what we're going to talk about
by asking us questions eight seven, seven, nine, nine eight one.

(12:15):
You can also use our techback feature on our free
iHeartRadio app. Just click the red microphone button send us
your question. It'll show up here in the studio.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
I really like that we do this because we get
so many different questions from people. I mean, it could
literally be anything, so we kind of never know what's coming, Yeah,
which makes it really fun for us. This morning it's
David and Hollister. You'll ask us anything. Question is for Court,
So what is your question?

Speaker 2 (12:39):
What have I happen to the DIY project for your TV?

Speaker 1 (12:43):
I don't know. I gave it update, but I was
curious whatever happened all.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
Right, so we should remind everybody what happened is there's
this bright spot on my TV, which I discovered is
a led backlight thing that's happening, but it causes a
bright spot on my TV. And I had said, I'm
going to go fix this thing, and.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
I had said you should just buy your TV, and
my wife said right, And.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
My wife said, what bright spot are you even talking about?
Because she has never noticed it. So I have taken
kind of everybody's advice since my wife doesn't see it,
and I can kind of live with it, and I
would probably end up just breaking the TV. I've decided
I'm gonna just leave it alone and just wait until

(13:31):
it really starts to go downhill.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Good for you, so you did nothing. I did nothing. Okay, congratulations.
They can't thank you a little pat on the back.
Every now and then. We do nothing every now and
then when I when I really notice it that, I
start googling how to repair it again, because sometimes I've
done DIY projects before where if I watch about ten
to fifteen videos, I'm confident enough to try it myself.

(13:55):
I'm almost to that point. I'm almost there.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
You need to try your yourself. When you're ready to
buy a new TV right well, and I'm not quite there.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Ye, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Just continue to do nothing, Court, we insist, all right,
I have no problem doing nothing. Great question, David.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Ye awesome, Thanks for date.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
All right, Hey, have a good day David.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Hi, thanks jaren A.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Right bye. You know what you do really well? Court?
That's at nothing, nothing. Yes, I'm the best at nothing.
All right.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
It's ask us anything. We do it every weekday morning
at this time. A chance for you to call, like
David did, ask about Court's DIY projects or anything at all.
Sky's the limit eight seven seven nine eight one nine
eight one.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
And a reminder coming up this morning eight oh five.
Another chance for you to win tickets to the disney
Land Resort and their seventieth celebration.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
This is going to be so much fun. It's a
chance for you to win four tickets. You can take
whomever you want, you and three guests. So be here
at eight oh five for your next chance to win
Disneyland Resort tickets.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Here on the breeze, Hi, good morning the breeze. Wh
this are you serious? Well? First of all, who is this?

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (15:11):
This is Sandy?

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Sandy, how's it going this morning, which up to.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
I've just been too busy calling. Oh my god, you've
been busy this morning calling the phrase trying to win tickets.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Yeah, I'm really really trying.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Oh yeah, well Sandy you want Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Oh my goodness. You know how hard it is for
us people out here. It is horrible.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
This struggle is real. Well, we try to make it
as easy as possible.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Oh my goods it is not. But thank you so
much for Glina though.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
We've got for to day, one park per day Disneyland
Resort tickets for you. At the Disneyland Resort, the happiest
place on earth. You're going to find all kinds happy.
And there's no better time to visit because the Disneyland
Resort seventieth celebration is happening now, so you're going to
be a part of that too.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Oh I am so excited, so excited to take my family.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Thank you so much. You are so welcome. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
We've got another chance coming up at four five today
with Tony, and then we'll do it again tomorrow morning
at ay'll every day this week, two chances to win
here on the breeze.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Love making people happy, I know, so, Carolyn, something that
made me happy over the weekend. Yes, with all this
great weather we've been having in the last couple of weeks,
finally put out our patio furniture.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Oh got it out, officially was done. Summer. Feels like
it has started the Johnson household season. Yeah, it's funny.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
I have the best patio equipment in a box in
my garage.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
How long?

Speaker 4 (16:50):
How long has that box been in your grudge? There
are holes in it? So like I think there have
been some critter situations. So so like five no, probably
six or seven years. So you buy patio furniture and
you have yet to put it out. I had my
backyard redone. I had system pavers come out and they

(17:11):
did a great job.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
You've seen it.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
My tiny house bad Sorry you anyway. So I bought
patio furniture because I was like, here we go. I
never have people over to the house, so why drag
the furniture out there.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
I haven't even put it together. It is literally in
the boxes.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
I have a day bed, I've got some like wicker
chairs with cushions and a little table. I need to
put that together. I've got like a tall table with
some barstools.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
You know, not even for yourself. You're unwilling to have time.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
My wife, it's her favorite thing is to go go
sit on the patio furniture, sipper coffee in the mornings.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
You, Court, I can't. I got I don't have time
for that. Anyway, I could go and enjoy yourself to you,
Here's here's what I'm getting at.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Do you want to come over court, if there's some
assembly required, I am one hundred percent there.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Really I love that.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
See if I could tag team that with somebody, it
would make it more fun. We could get it done.
We'll listen to the relaxing favorites while we assemble my furniture.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
I'm your guy. Great, let me help you with this.
Will you not make fun of my house when you
come over? I will. I can call it small. I
called it cozy. It's the same thing as small. But
that would be great. I want you to enjoy this
furniture you about five or six years ago.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
Summer twenty twenty five is turning around right before your eyes.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Okay, deal, all right, all right, great sounds I can
play it good. I put out my furniture, Now I
get to put yours out. That's great, Thank you Court.
That worked out great. I'm here for ah.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
We're at eight seven seven nine nine eight one. Coming
up later this hour, we are going to be commercial
free here on the Breaze.

you're in an office or a warehouse, or in a store,
maybe hasnage, whatever you're doing for a living, we're here
to help. Ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing
