The Morning Breeze. Morning Breeze onDemand six ten on the Morning Breeze.
The Bay's number one for relaxing favoritesin the morning. Good morning, Happy
Friday, Happy Friday. Oh itfeels like a Friday today too, feels
right? Are you having yourself acase of the Friday? I've got a

(00:21):
case of the Friday's court. Butgood morning, and welcome to Friday.
Speaking of that, this weekend,we just learned this morning. If you're
going to be heading to the NapaValley this weekend or the North Bay.
We bring this up because this isobviously a major thoroughfare. Highway thirty seven
is going to be closed for thirtytwo hours starting at three am tomorrow morning,

(00:43):
going through eleven am on Sunday. So they're closing a major highway into
a weekend destination. I know,going into a weekend. It's exactly it.
There's a big golf tournament in Napathis weekend. There's got to be
weddings, right, there's just thegeneral wine tape. Sure. The North
Bay is a beautiful place. Yeah, So we bring this up because we

(01:03):
know a lot of people are goingto be using thirty seven and stay away
there's a railroad crossing on the highwaywhere they have to do repair is because
of wear and tear with the stormsand cars and trucks driving on thirty seven
all the time, so they haveto repair it, they have to close
it rights. It is very necessary. How good are you, Carolyn,
when when traffic like you know, traffic issues like this happen. Are you

(01:27):
for figuring out a workaround? Ohmy gosh, I'm so. I'm good
because I live here in the BayArea. But I because of the hours
that we keep in the morning hereand when we come in knock on Wood,
we don't deal with traffic very much. Traffic patterns are way different exactly.
So if I were to get caughtin that over the weekend where they're
taking you off of thirty seven ona two lane road, that's going to

(01:47):
be bananas. Yeah. I don'thave the patients for it. I'd rather
just stay where I am, waitedout and then drive home at midnight.
I'd rather do nothing. Yea.So now you know again, three am
tomorrow through eleven am Sunday, Highwaythirty seven and the Napa Valley going to
be closed. We're at eight seven, seven, nine, eight one h
nine to eight one. Do wehave more air supply tickets today? Oh?

(02:08):
You bet we do. Eight twentyfive is when we've been given those
oway and they're going to be amountain winery next Thursday. So eight twenty
five is when you want to behere on the breeze. And now we
look at today's the local forecast. That's so breezy, Benny King, very
breezy on a Friday morning. Sure, yeah, I love it. It's

(02:29):
six twenty six morning breeze. CarolineMcCardell, Court Johnson, Good morning.
I was thinking about the weekend comingup, Court, Yeah, and oh
I'm excited for the weekend, andI start thinking about all the things I'm
going to do this weekend. Andthen I've like flash forward to Sunday,
and as I even think about mySunday night, I start getting anxious about

(02:51):
it. Yeah. Oh man, then you got to go to work the
next day. And you know, they have a name for that. We
have a couple of names for that. It's like the Sunday blues or something.
Sunday Blues is the one that I'veheard most, but Sunday Scaries is
also what some people call it.Because because like you're so anxious about starting
work again. Yes, that Sundayjust becomes a nightmare because you're doing all
the things to help yourself get readyfor the week, you know, the

(03:15):
next work week. That's exactly it. Yeah, and there's actually some things
I've I've been talking to my wifeabout this quite a bit because she gets
I've I've experienced it before. Idon't experience it here at all, Carolyn.
I look forward to every Monday, bright and early walking in with you.
Somebody has trained you so well.Correct, I mean that sincerely.
But yeah, yeah, yeah,I think anybody, even if you love

(03:37):
your job, there's weeks where you'vegot a big project, do yes,
or you know, you just havestopped something and yeah, and so you
get a little bit anxious. Sofor my wife, I always talk about
I'm like, and I just Iplead with her. I'm like, turn
off your email on the weekends.Just turn it off, like you're not
working. Yeah, but she seesemails come in over the weekend. Yeah,

(03:57):
and so it takes some discipline, but like, just turn off your
email, disconnect it in any way, that's probably the easiest thing to do,
Okay, or maybe the hardest. But also all those things you end
up doing on Sunday to get readyfor the work week, do them on
Friday. Yeah, make Sunday aspecial relaxing day that's just for relaxing.
And then that way you look forwardto Sunday as opposed to start dreading it

(04:19):
because you know that Sunday leads toMonday. That's a good point because I
do find that, like grocery shoppingis the one thing for me, and
we always do that on Sundays.I do it, oh you do.
See, I do it on Fridaysso I don't have to worry about Sunday.
And then I do my cooking becauseI meal prep for the week.
Sure, I do my cooking onSaturday. So I try. Are you
doing this? I try to doit, yeah, but still without fail.

(04:42):
On a Sunday, I'm thinking,oh my gosh, I have this
this week. I have this. But I like your tip on the email
because I'm guilty of that. Ithink a lot of people are. I
wish there was a way, andthat probably is on your phones or whatever
where it automatically disconnects or just turnsitself off Friday five something or yeah,
and then and then can shift backon you know, Monday morning of this.

(05:03):
Again, that's easier said than done, because I'm I'm very much like
you because you start thinking, becausethen you do it to yourself. You're
like, I'm missing something right now, exactly, get over it. We're
going to share some of these tipson our Facebook page ninety eight one the
Breeze. You can reach us ifmaybe you have a tip that would help
other people or help us. Eightseven seven nine eight one h nine eight

have chills, I mean, Imean, and that's special for you.
But that's also really special for yourdaughter too. Just I know when when
my kids were born, having grandmabe close by, yea was the best.
Exactly when my daughter was born,my parents were like two blocks.

(08:26):
We used to walk over there.I'd go over there. They were just
quick. Do you needed them therethere? Yeah? Oh that makes me
so happy. Congratulations. Well, thank you guys so much. Oh my
gosh, it was good to talkto you. I'm so glad you called.
Thank you have a great day youtoo, Patty. Take care.
I gotta say, Carolyn, thereis nothing better than having family close by

(08:48):
when you when you have kids.I think that age so probably true.
Now flipping it on my situation withmy mom who I helped my mom out
a lot because she has dementia andshe on my street about eight houses up,
and for that reason it's very convenient. I can just pop down there
in a couple of seconds to beat her house. So it's kind of

(09:09):
the same thing, but with anadult, right, you know, it
makes raising families were being a familythat much easier, so much easier.
So good for you, Patty, thank you for calling. Eight seven seven
nine eight one h nine eight one. If you have a brighter side,
for us. We want to hearfrom you, and coming up at eight
twenty five this morning, we havemore air supply tickets for you. Yeah,

(09:30):
they're going to be at the MountainWinery on May twenty fifth. That's
next Thursday, So eight twenty fiveanother chance to score some tickets right here
on the Breeze, seven twenty fiveon the Bays. Number one for relaxing
favorites for your morning, ninety eightpoint one The Breeze Morning Breeze, Caroline
McCardell Court Johnson. I know courtsso many people still working from home post

(09:54):
pandemic. A lot of people neverwent back to the office. I was
reading a statistic the other day aboutparents who work remotely at least part time,
that their stress levels are so heightened. You would think, oh,
you're working from home. You know, you don't have that commute and the
stress of that anymore. But thedeal is the parents are really stressed out
because now they're home and they've gotthose kid responsibilities at home, they've got

(10:18):
their work responsibilities at home, right, and then they're afraid to tell their
bosses like, hey, I havethese other things going on. I need
to kind of juggle my schedule alittle bit, so it's causing additional stress.
So now they're saying, like workingfrom home might actually be more stressful
than going into the office every day. I would totally agree with all this.
For the past year, I actuallyworked at home with my wife,

(10:41):
who runs their own business out ofour house, And you're there, you
have all the work stuff that you'vegot on top of the fact that you're
in your own home. You seethe pile of laundry. Yes, you
see your kids come home from school, which is part of the reason why
you want to be there. Butit's hard to separate all of it,
exactly what they're saying. On topof the fact that you don't have the

(11:03):
adult conversations that you might normally havein a workplace to kind of pull your
brain out of all that stuff, there's that as well. Yeah, it's
really it's a weird it's complex.It's a weird juggle, right, I
mean, that's the deal, asthey're saying, it's such a weird juggle,
and people don't know what to do. So we're bringing this up today
to tell you, like, ifthis is happening to you, you're not
alone, number one, right,But also to ask people if you are

(11:26):
in that predicament, if you're workingfrom home, if you're a parent,
how do you juggle it all?Because we want to hear from you so
we can share it with other people. Listening might help somebody out today.
I say, just during that nextconference called do it while you're doing the
dishes. I know. It's sogreat. Court was telling me off the
error by the way, that hehad a friend who would who was working
from home and would play like, what was it, fake office noise in

(11:48):
the back, so it sounded likehe was in the office. Yeah.
This was early on, So thisis this is funny decades ago when working
from home was like a strange thingto do. Yes, and they were
a startup company and they'd wanted peopleto take them serious, and so they
would They had a little tape recorder. It was that that far ago,
long ago get set player, Yeah, and they would they would literally play

(12:09):
it so that people thought they werein a legit business. There's like a
fax noise in the background and yeah, yeah, that's great. Eight seven
seven nine eight one h nine eightOne is how you reach us, If
it's easier, you can always reachus on our iHeart Radio app. Push
that microphone button while you're listening tothe Breeze on the app, and you
can record a message with the talkback mike and we'll get that right away

(12:31):

in Saratoga next Thursday, the twentyfifth, So eight twenty five your next
chance to win here on the Breezebree seven forty two on the Bays Number
one for relaxing favorites for your morning, ninety eight point one The Breeze Morning
Breeze. Caroline McCardell Court Johnson.I want to ask you, Court,

(12:54):
if you have heard of this newtrend. It's a botox trend. Okay,
it's called trap talks. Trap talkst R A P t o X.
So think bow talk okay, botox, Yeah, for your traps,
for your trapezius. You're talking aboutthe muscle. It's uh, it's like
it's like going back to class here. It's sort of like the muscles of

(13:16):
the shoulders. So what people aredoing is they're going to their doctors and
they're saying, can you inject bowtalks into the muscles of my shoulder?
What it's my shoulders. What it'sdoing is it's giving their necks a thinner,
more contoured appearance. Huh right, yeah, so you're you're getting an
injection in the back. It's becausethe traps are in the back, right,

(13:41):
and they go they're in the kindof neck down into the middle shoulder
area. Yes, so it's givingyou that no idea what I'm talking about,
No, no, no, ButI think you're onto it. I
think it's making your traps look alittle bigger. Therefore, by default,
your neck looks a little thinner. And my whole thought is like, how
far are we to go with botox? I am totally not opposed to botox.

(14:03):
I know a lot of people todo it, but I don't know
about focusing on making my neck looksmaller. Oh maybe that's a thing,
and I'm just late to the party, you know. Yeah. I always
go back to just the fact that, you know, not to get too
technically, but botox is you know, you're injecting botulism into your body.
There's that fact as well, right, And but it sure makes your neck

(14:24):
look good. Yeah, beautiful neck. You've got their court. Yeah.
Have you ever done botox before?I've never done. I've never done botox.
My wife does it, my motherin law does it. They look
beautiful. They didn't need it before. That's good to stand good. Come
back on that. What about you? I did it once to try it
in your No, no, thisis not in my neck. It was

(14:46):
in my kneecaps. No it was. It was in my face. I
did it stereotypical place, bottom ofmy feet. Yeah. I didn't like
it. It just it hurts myface. I don't like needles in my
face, so that just wasn't forme. It's an interesting I know,
like obviously it's tested. FDA's approvingall this stuff or otherwise they won't be
able to inject it into your body. But I've heard of botox being used

(15:09):
to stop you from sweating. I'veheard about that too. They're putting your
armpits. Yeah, which, yeah, there's a last place. That's the
last place I want a needle. But how do you feel about this concept?
Have you gotten botox before anywhere otherthan your face? And did you
like the results? Have you heardof trap talks? Have you done it?
Let us know eight seven seven nineeight one h ninety eight one.
You can always reach out on socialmedia ninety eight one. The breeze coming

(15:33):
up at eight twenty five this morning. Another chance for you to go see
air supply on Thursday. The MountainWinery in Saratogas will be here at eight
twenty five. Your chance to winon the breeze. And now we'll look
at our forecast eight O nine. That is Celine Dion on the Bay's number
one for relaxing favorites at work ninetyeight point when the breeze Morning Breeze Carolyn
McCardell Court Johnson. A couple ofminutes ago, we were talking about this

(15:56):
new trend when it comes to botox. It's called crap talks t r apt
o x. It is botox injectionsinto the muscles of your shoulders or your
trapezius. Yes, in the male. It's the most technical we've ever been
on the show. By the way, quar people are using trap talks to
have thinner necks, like your neckappears more contoured, a little thinner when

(16:19):
you put the botox into your shoulders. And we're wondering, is this something
that you have ever tried, wouldyou try it? Eight seven seven nine
eight one nine eight one. Let'stalk to Sandy in Redwood City. Hey,
Sandy, what do you think aboutbotox in your trapezius? I would
never do it because I am terrifiedof needles, I know, and there's

(16:41):
a lot of needles. I won'tget it tacked two. I won't.
I mean even when my doctor saysI need to send you to the lab,
I'm like, no, I amnot prepared for that. Needles.
If needles are involved, You're out. I'm gone. Yeah, all right.
I have this visual of you justrunning out of the office and just

(17:02):
papers flying in the air and floating. Tom Yeah, I'm like the road
runner, man, I am outof it. If you don't like the
looks and don't look at me ata tune. So good to have you
listening. Thank you for listening,Sandy, Thank you, and certainly thank
