(00:26):
have this as a character flaw.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
Good morning, Jennifer in Morgan Hill. What do you think
the answer is for today's brain tease?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Perfection?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Man, that is such a good guess, and so I
would guess true.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Sure of the women in my life. I have more
women perfectionists in my life than men.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
For sure. Boy. That's a great guest, solid guest, great guess.
Is that the answer? I wish that was the answer, Ah,
but it's not.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Oh We'll try again.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Ate it? Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Amanda in San Mateo, Good morning, You've got to guess
what do you think the answer is untrusting.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I don't know, untrusting, lack of trust. More women than
men are intrusting.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, I'm not gonna I am not going to weigh
in this because I don't want to get in trouble.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Because you think that we're untrusting. I just don't. I
don't trust you. You just said untrusting. Uh, solid guests
not the correct answer. Careful.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
More women than men say they are more likely to
be running late to things than men.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
How about you, Amanda, Are you like very punctual? I
was very punctual until I had kids.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Oh sure, yeah, And I am not a parent. You
guys obviously are you and quarter both parents?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Do?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Does having kids allow you? I mean, sometimes you can't
help it, you're going to be late. But isn't that
a great excuse? Oh sure, if you're late somewhere, Oh well,
the kids couldn't get I'm ready.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
It's one of the great blessings of children, is they
become a great excuse for a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, definitely, there you go. All right, Amanda, thanks for
calling in this morning. We appreciate you listening absolutely all
the time. You guys have a great day too. Okay, Amanda,
bye bye bye.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Would you say, Carolyn, you have the running late character flaw.
I'm doing this some quotation marks because I don't do.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
You think I do? No, I don't know. I feel
like that you were asking because you think I, Well.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
There's something people should know about Carolyn. What is you
are meticulous in your timing? You try to not you
try to arrive right on time.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Oh that's true.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
I never thought about that for the job here or
for a plane. Yeah, that whole arrived two hours early.
That's that's hogwashed to you.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah. I don't want to waste any time. Yeah, okay,
So I just.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Worry that that approach to being meticulous on arriving on
time when you hit traffic could make you run.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Because there is not a good day when that happens.
There are some things that are out of your control. Yeah. No,
I like to be exactly on time. I think it's
because of this job. Everything we do with the show
has to be perfectly on time. So it's just how
I live my whole life.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, and I'm single, and I love how you're not
really answering my question.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
And that's that's fine, all.
Speaker 2 (03:22):

in San Jose did. Oh, Tammy writes, Hi, Carolyn in Court,
you have unique jobs. What I want to know is
what does your family think about your job?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Oh? Great question. Yeah, my family like doesn't care. They
don't think anything about your job.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
I think when you first got into radio, they probably
thought it was cool.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, now nobody even talks about it, like sure, no
one mentions it. I think they think that my job
with the Giants is cooler, well, yeah, than my job.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Here, even though both are pretty pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Both are great, but they are just like I think
it's because.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I've been doing it so long too.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
Yeah, it's but early on you don't remember because for me,
early on when because I actually dropped out of college
to take a job at it. Right, this is for
all the kids listening and and so for yeah, so
for years my mom would be like, I was so, well,
how are things great?
Speaker 1 (05:38):
And she's like, what are you going to go back
to school? Is your mom? English?
Speaker 3 (05:44):
A little bit and uh and and that's the way
it's been with my mom up until like last week
when I spoke to her.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
I think you're going to be okay in this industry court,
but if you want me to talk to your mom, yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
It is.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
It is interesting though, because like we kind of have
this written rule. I'm very fortunate my wife, Randy also
has worked in radio, and so she kind of gets that,
like our life becomes fodder for things we talk about.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
So true.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
And so both of my daughters, Quinn Sloane know that
they potentially are gonna, you know, be discussed in length.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
That's the thing.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
If you're dating anybody or married to anybody, or have kids,
your whole life becomes public. Now you don't have to
do that. There are people that don't. You're not let
but oh, most your family has been gold. I must say,
I had.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
A girl break up with me because we were talking
really yeah, we were talking about her too much on
the heard of that happening.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, that's a tricky one. But your family has They've
been champs for sure, because we really got.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Them a lot all the time and they're great. Yeah, right,
thank you Tammy for that question.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
That was a good one. Yeah, ask us anything. We
do it every weekday morning at this time. Again, we
welcome your questions. Eight seven, seven, nine eight one nine
eight one. You can call us. You can send us
that question as I mentioned a minute ago on our
free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
And be sure to join us later in the show.

so let us help you relax Commercial free eight fifty
Here on the Breeze.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Kim Carnes here on ninety eight point one In the Breeze,
It's the morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. Seven six
is the time, and that means it's time for the
Brighter Side. Sponsored by Shreven Company, luxury time pieces, find Designers,
and Flawless Diamonds. Brighterside is a chance for you to
share the good and positive things happening in your life.
I like to say it simply, if it brought a
smile to your face, that qualifies as a brighter side.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Yeah, bring it here for sure. Eight seven, seven, nine
eight one nine eight one. That's how you reach us.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
You can also send us your brighter sides using the
talkback feature on our free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
You may have heard this story. This happened a couple
of months ago. The Mount Diablo High School football team.
Mount Diablow isn't conquered. Yeah, they're football team field was
badly damaged by a fire that was caused by illegal fireworks.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Do you remember this just days before the start of
the season. Yes, this brand new field fired like destroyed
the center part of the field.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Exactly that the artificial turf it melted. The team had
to play their first three home games away from campus
at a different school. But now that field has been
completely restored it looks just as good as new. Thanks
to the Las Vegas Raiders, who heard about this and
donated two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to help cover
(08:34):
repair costs after they heard what happened.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
That is great.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
So this past Friday night, the Mount Diablo Red Devils
hosted their rivals my alma mater, the Ignisia Valley Wolves
for the homecoming game, all thanks to the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
That's pretty great. Isn't that so cool?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
It is interesting because I know, like even though when
you play away from your home field, it just feels different,
even though they are probably playing at a neutral site.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah maybe if they were like DVC or something, they
were probably at another somewhere cool in the area, but
it's still.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Not the sore field.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
And if i'm these kids, I mean, even as an adult,
it's so personal when somebody destroys something of yours. Even
though that field is not quote theirs, it's your home field,
you know. So they that had to take an emotional
toll as well.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
So and it's great that there's still an association obviously
the Raiders in Las Vegas, but there's still there's still
so many Bay Area fans, I know, and they're still
trying to stay connected to the community.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
The only thing that would make this story better is
if we could have, say, and the Raiders won yesterday
and a really, did you see the end of the game?
Oh my gosh, No, they should have anyway, But it's
the brighter side and this is a great story in
Montablo High School, so we wanted to share that with you.
So thank you to the Las Vegas Raiders. We are
at eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one.
(09:59):
If you have a brighter side for us, bring it on.
We want to hear it. As Court mentioned a minute ago,
you can also send us your brighter sides with our
free iHeartRadio app us that talkback Mike. That's right, and
be sure to join us this morning and all week long.
At seven forty it's your chance to win tickets to
a beautiful noise than Neil Diamond musical. Yes, it's playing
at the Samsday Center for the Performing Arts and Neil Diamond.
(10:22):
If you're even remotely a fan, you're gonna love this show.
Think about all the hits he has. You're going to
be singing along. It is such a fun show. So
be here at seven forty your chance to win On
the Breeze. It's Dan Hartman seven twenty six. It is
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It is time
for The More You Know and it is sponsored by
(10:45):
our friends at the San Francisco Symphony. This is where
we share a fun fact or a tip for you,
something to keep you winning trivia night. Court has The
More You Know Today, I do, and I will begin
with a disclaimer. I am not a doctor. I am
not a medical professional. Carolyn last I checked you were
not a doctor either, doctor of some things, but go ahead.
(11:07):
Not a doctor of medicine, not even close.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
So the big question out there for a lot of
people is how much exercise do I need to do
every day or every week in order to reap the
benefits of heart health?
Speaker 2 (11:20):
And we've heard so many different answers on this is
so many different theories.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Yeah, I saw one where they said, oh, you need
at least five hundred hours per week. No, excuse me,
five hundred minutes per week.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Okay, which is still a lot doing them.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
It's like it's it's like sixty minutes a day, it's
an hour a day, okay, you already asked in which
if for a lot of people it can be a struggle.
Most health professionals will agree one hundred and fifty is
what you should shoot for. One hundred and fifty minutes
of moderate to aggressive working out per week.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
So one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
You're doing the math right now, what is that per day?
So it's like twenty five minutes a day, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Okay, you're beating a calculator. Yeah, it's twenty one minutes
a day. Okay, which is not too hard? Okay, right
for women? Cut that in half seventy five.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
According to a new research, women need to work out
about as half as much as men do in order
to reap the same benefits of heart. Ten minutes a day, yeah,
seven days a week. I am not trusted. I bring
this up only because for a lot of people, even
that ten minutes or the twenty minutes is a struggle.
You're busy, your parents want, you've got a job.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Into my workout clothes, even though I wear them to work. Yeah. Whatever.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
The reasons might be laziness, or you're just a busy person, yeah,
with a schedule full of life. Again, I mentioned your job,
your kids, your parents, maybe you're caretaker for your parents.
All sorts of reasons prevent you from you know, doing
the workout.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
If this is right, this is great that women can
work out ten minutes a day and guys can work
out twenty minutes a day.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
Fantastic. Yeah, but is it right?
Speaker 2 (13:00):
But well, let's go back to that disclaimer that you
shared in the beginning. We are not doctor, We are
not doctors. I think it comes down to this. Even
a little can do a lot, so It's one of
those things where people say, like I can only do
ten fifteen minutes, it's not even worth it. Actually, according
to the study, it is. And I was reading the
other day that the benefits of just getting outside and
(13:21):
going for a walk every day are huge, right, mentally
and physically.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
So you want to get you want to get that
heart rate up just a little bit a few times
every day and low down court all right, anyway, So
I guess I guess that's the more you know. Yeah, no,
it is the more you know. Just sat there and
shot shot holds and everything I said with confidence.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
All right, coming up at seven forty. We are just
a few minutes away. It is Santas Broadways. A Beautiful Noise,
the Neil Diamond Musical. You're going to have a chance
to win tickets, Yeah you are. It's if you don't
know about a Beautiful Noise. It is the true story
of how Neil Diamond became the superstar that he is. Yeah,
(14:04):
and it's full of all of his hits. They play
all the hits and it is fantastic. The show is Tuesday,
December thirtieth at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
Nick Froddiani is the guy who plays lead, and he
is spectacular, sounds just like Neil Diamond. So be here
seven forty your chance to win those tickets on the Breeze.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
We are so excited.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Wendy and Vallejo just picked up those tickets to San
Jose Broadways.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
A Beautiful Noise the Neil Diamond Music All. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
The show's happening Tuesday, December thirtieth at the San Jose
Center for the Performing Arts. It was created in collaboration
with Neil Diamond himself, I know, and A Beautiful Noise
is an uplifting true story of how a kid from
Brooklyn became a chartbusting, show stopping American rock icon.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster. But you
certainly have another chance to win from us. We're doing
it every morning this week at seven forty.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Here on the Breeze, it's LeAnn Rhymes at eight eight
Here on ninety eight point one the Breeze. You got
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. LeAnn Rhymes, by
the way, is on that new uh it's called Nashville
nine one one.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
There's so many of those shows. I feel like I
cannot keep up. Yeah, it's like that. It's like the
new version of Law and Order. But it's nine one
ones and there's one in Texas, and there's one in
Nashville now and Leanne Reymes, she's actually one of the
main stars.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
I'm a big fan of hers. It's the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court. So we know you didn't see
a coyote in your neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
No Saturday night, of course, the night after Halloween, I
go out for a walk in the evening with Perk,
and I noticed that one of my neighbors.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
I don't know, I'm whispering. You don't want them to
hear you me?
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah, No, one of my neighbors had put all of
their holiday lights up. Oh wow, not decorations, but holiday lights.
The lights were out, and I have to say I
liked it a lot.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I am ready, not so much ready for the holidays,
but I'm ready for the lights to go up the neighborhood.
We have this question on our Facebook page at ninety
eight one of the Breeze about you know, when do
you start decorating for the holidays, And somebody reminded me
on Facebook that during the pandemic. Do you remember how
everybody decorated early?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Sure, because we just needed Yeah, we needed a little
cheer in our lives. And so I am usually somebody
who says, wait, you know, until the day after Thanksgiving
is a very common day to decorate. But ever since
the pandemic, I'm like, bring it on. If you want
to put lights up in the neighborhood and light up
the neighborhood early, I am definitely here for it.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
We shifted a few years ago.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I got these outdoor lights that are led and you
can change the color on them to anything you want.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
That's right, you told me so.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
They're permanent, they're up all the time, and they just
make such a difference on the house to just have
it be lit up, yes, especially after what happened yesterday,
which is the fact that it's now dark after five
o'clock with the time change.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yep. So just having a little bit.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Of light later in the day when you know you
don't have light, it's going to make such a difference.
And you don't have to Like for ours, we don't
switch it over to the Christmas theme until after Thanksgiving,
but it will be just a soft light.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Can you have? I guess you could just have white lights.
That would be pretty, and I had for Halloween. We
had purple and green for home so festive. Yeah, I
guess for what would the colors be for Thanksgiving?
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Like brown and orange? Oh, they'd be cute, though I've
never seen brown lights. They have you, Oh, it's on
the color wheel.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I could do. I could try. That's cool.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, I got to get one of those because I
was reading in the comments on our Facebook page, because
we always read your comments. Geanie, who listens in half
Foon Bay, said that she put they put their lights up,
but they just haven't turned them on. And I thought
that's really start too, because you decorate ahead of time
and then when you're ready to go, you flip the
switch and now you've got your lights and you've already
done the hard work.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
And as the you know, because I think we're expecting
rain here in the Bay a couple of days, so
as we get closer to Thanksgiving and Ristmas, there's more
chances of those rainy days happening.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Get it done while the weather's good, Get or done exactly.
The message from court on this Monday morning, message from
me and Larry the Cable Guy. Apparently all right, we're
at eight seven seven, nine nine eight one. Call us
any time for anything, and again we do encourage you
to go to our page ninety eight one The Breeze
on Facebook and join in on that conversation.
Speaker 3 (18:25):

Speaker 2 (18:34):

it is our goal to try and take the stress
out of your holidays.
Speaker 1 (18:40):

thing by picking up the tab for your complete Thanksgiving dinner,
we are here to do it.
Speaker 3 (18:53):

Thanksgiving Day menu, we've got you.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
More women than men admit they are likely to have
this as a character flawky.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
This is a tricky one. Jennifer and Morgan Hills holding,
you've got a guest for us. What do you think
of The answer is perfection Man. That is such a
good guess, and so I would guess true sure.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Of the women in my life. I have more women
perfectionists in my life than men.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
For sure. Boy. That's a great guest, solid gain great guests.
Is that the answer? I wish that was the answer, Ah,
but it's not.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
We'll try again.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Thank you so much, guys. I appreciate it. Bye bye, Jennifer.
All right, Mark and El Serrito, what do you think?
The answer is obsessive compulsive? Obsessive compulsive? Mark, what do
you mean by that? This is a save you two
course this is a safe place for people to call
in and share their theories. Uh huh, I wouldn't say that.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Great guess, but it's not the correct one.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
All right, Thanks for calling in and being brave with
your answer this morning.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Seriously, have a good day though. We appreciate you listening.
All right, Amanda in SANMITEO, Good morning. What's your guess? Untrusting?
Speaker 1 (20:55):
I don't know, untrusting, lack of trust. More women than
men are in trusting.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yeah, I'm not gonna I am not going to weigh
in this because I don't want to get in trouble
because you think that we're untrusting.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I just don't don't trust you. You just said untrusting
solid guests not the correct answer. Careful. More more women than.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Men say they are more likely to be running late
to things than men.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
How about you, Amanda? Are are you like very punctual?
I was very punctual until I had kids? Oh sure, yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:33):
And I am not a parent you guys, obviously? Are
you and Court are both parents? Do does having kids
allow you? I mean, sometimes you can't help it, you're
going to be late? But isn't that a great excuse?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Oh? Sure? If you're late somewhere. Oh well, the kids
couldn't get them ready.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
It's one of the great blessings of children, is they
become a great excuse for a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, definitely, there you go. All right, Amanda, thanks for
calling in this morning. We appreciate you listening absolutely all
