The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's Billy Joel with My Life Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Quor at six twenty two and let's get right
to it. It is time to play The Morning Breeze
brain teas with you. It's sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing.
You're in clean hands with Mike Council Plumbing. You can
see them online at mc plumbing dot com.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Twenty five percent of homeowners say, thanks to high tech
or let's just say technology, they don't need one of
these anymore.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I cannot wait to see what the answer is for
this one. Okay, eight seven seven, nine to eighty one,
Leanne in Napa, good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
A tiv A TV.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I could see that, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Because most of us watch things on our phones these days. Right, Yeah,
are an iPad? Right?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I feel like that is going.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
To be Yeah, Well you're nailing the technology part of this. Yeah,
but it's not the right answer.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I'm surprised.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I know.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Well, Leanne, have a good day and thank you for
playing along. Have a good day you too, Cedric and
San Matteo, what do you think the answer is.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Anymore?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
A lot of people are using their cell phones really yeah?
Oh yeah, when when we got into like four G
and five G. In some areas, people claim they can
just use their phones as a hotspot and I have
to use Wi Fi. I didn't, but don't. Doesn't the
hot spot need Wi Fi?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Or no?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
No, it just goes off of your cell service? Oh
your cell service? Are you one of these people, Cedric?
Or do you still have Wi Fi at home?

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Well, we still have Wi Fi at home, but I
mean I still I still go to the hot spots,
you know when I'm not at home. You know, I
still hot spot. You know the cell service. My wife
is the one that I thought was a Wi Fi.
I'm only better.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
So my gosh, you guys, I feel like I am
so on the border of not understanding what you're talking about,
Like I am becoming that lady that's like, wait a minute,
hot spot tell me more.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I know what it is, but I don't. I think
it depends on how like connected your houses, if you
if you've just if you just need basic internet, then
a lot of people I are just switching to using
their phones.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
It's all over the area too, so it's not just
your house, and you can go anywhere and pick up
a hot spot. You know, it's almost like not to
drop somebody else's Internet or why you know, Wi fi whatever,
But it's it's legal.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I love that I work here and I'm learning from
our show every day, right, yeah, exactly? Well, okay, so
is wi Fi the answer to that? It's a phenomenal guess,
but not the answer.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, you got it. Okay, what is the answer to this?
Correct answer? Because of high tech, twenty five percent of
homeowners say they don't need a house key or a
spare key because they have a digital keypad on their
front door. No kidding, And I am one of those people.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Really, yeah, I am one of those people. My building's
too old for that.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, yeah, my house is way too old for that.
I guess you can always install it.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
But you can depend on where you live.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I'm having problems understanding hot spot. I am so far
from a digital keypad.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Ye know, with a hot spot for if you're using
a hotspot, then a digital keypad probably wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Be the work.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Again, you're blowing my mind. Right, it's too much, it's
too much, too early right now?

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Just what's the baby step with our hank? You?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
All right, Cedric, make it a good day. Thanks for
calling all. Take care guys to buy right so good.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
It's the Morning Breeze brain Tease.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
We play every weekday morning at this time at six twenty.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
And something else we do happens at eight fifty. Every
morning we go commercial free, which means ninety eight minutes
of NonStop, commercial free relaxing favorites.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
We actually look forward to that as much as you do,
so yes, we will start that right at eight fifty.
To start your day here on the Breeze, Louiz Terod Stewart,
it's six po forty here on ninety eight point one
the Breeze. You've got the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord,
and it's that time of the show where you steer
the conversation.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
We call it. Ask us anything were you calling with
your questions? They could be serious questions, it could be
silly questions.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
We've had freeing and I love the variety of it all.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah, you can call us eight seven seven nine eight one,
nine eight one. You can also send us your questions
using the talk back feature on our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, anything goes all right. Tony in Berkeley, Good morning,
ask us anything. If you could go back to school
and be in like junior high once again and do
it all different, would you do it?

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Oh wow, that's a great question.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
That is something to think about.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
So how would you answer that question. It couldn't pay
me that money to go back. I wouldn't do it.
You said, junior high in middle school.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Right, Yeah, that's what I teach.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah. Wait, that's what you teach. You're a middle school teacher.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, I still wouldn't go back.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I don't know how much learning's happening, but that's where
a lot of kids are kind of discovering themselves. And
it's rough.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
If you want to know, like, is there hope for
the world?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah, there is.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
They're wonderful, they're thoughtful.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
There either.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
It's the best grade.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I am shocked to hear this, but it's a tough
time in life. You're figuring yourself out right.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yes, well, once again, thank you for doing what you do, Tony.
I mean being a middle school teacher. We all remember
being middle school kids, don't we court Yeah, and you
had middle school daughters. You know how hard it is.
So Tony, thank you. I have a good day, all right?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So how would you answer that question?

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Man, that is so tough because middle school, for me,
I think was the hardest elementary school. You're just a kid.
Middle school you're kind of encroaching on that whole like
high school vibe where you're a little more independent, but
you're still so insecure. So I don't know if I
would want to go back to middle school again. I
just almost want to just have that part behind me.

(05:44):
High school, I would do that again. See middle school,
I don't think I would do that.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
My answer was would probably be the same it really
if it was high school, I may do it because
if you were called tony is a kind of a
two parter question, go back and do things differently. Yeah,
but middle school and you're urging your high like, it's
just such a tough time. I know. And for any
middle schoolers listening to us right right now, we love you.

(06:09):
We know it seriously. You know it's tough and it's
gonna get better.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Well, I was gonna say here's the good news for
the middle schoolers that are listening.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
High school's fun. Oh yeah, you're gonna have the best time.
You just finished middle school, Like, do a good job, be.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
A nice person, and then you're gonna have a blast
in high school. So, but that's a tough question. I
love ask us anything because I love, like we said
it a minute ago, a minute ago, the variety of questions.
It could literally be about anything. We'll take your questions
eight seven, seven, nine one, nine eight one, or as
Court said, send us a message with our iHeartRadio app.

(06:43):
You've got thirty seconds to record a message. Plenty of time,
and it is ask a question.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Is it talk back Tuesday?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
That's right, that's right now. Coming up Friday morning on
the show, just after seven o'clock, we will be announcing
our next Morning Breeze Person of the Week. We cannot
do that though without your nominations. Yeah, this is where
we sell the great people in the Bay Area doing
good things. Again, these are coworkers, these are friends, these colleagues,
these are family members. Yeah, we've had a little bit
of everything, like who is that person that's always going

(07:09):
above and beyond that is in your world? We want
to tell the whole Bay Area about this person, So
let us know about them. Get us your nominations. It's
right there on our homepage ninety eight one. The Breeze
dot Com.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
It's Whitney Houston at seven o six.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It's time for
the Brighter Side. We do it every weekday morning at
this time. If you have a story that you think
is great that other people in the Bay Area would appreciate,
it's just some sort of good news or something good
happen to you. That is what the Brighter Side is
all about. We're at eight seven seven nine, eight one
oh nine eight one sponsored by Shriven Company, Luxury time Pieces,

(07:47):
Find Designers and Flawless Diamonds. So, Bob in Pataloma, you
had something great happen over the weekend, tell us about it.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
So on Saturday they had a very large car show,
over two hundred and fifty cars for the Alzheimer's Foundation
up in Petaluma, and my car went a trophy presented
by the kids. But the kids picked it.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Oh my gosh, so cool.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Tell us about your car. Yeah, what do you have?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
I have a nineteen sixty five Chrysler Imperial limousine. Yeah,
so Prit's presidential limosine. So it's uh, you know, it's
got a lot of history to it. So the kids
just loved it and I had a lot of a
lot of attention. It was a beautiful trophy. I was
just actually, I'm so proud of it.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Do you take your your limo to a lot of
car shows or are you How often do you take
it out?

Speaker 3 (08:34):
I take it out fairly often. I tried to driving
at least every other weekend a little bit, just so
keep it, you know, running well and all that, and
you know, check everything out. The car's only got thirty
was it thirty five miles right now? Oh my god,
that's original miles. And so the car, you know, car
goes belonged by the government. It was actually built in Spain.

(08:56):
The car was actually made, you know, for Christler Imperial
and it was a ship back to United States and
then they used it actually in Washington's got a decal
stone the windshield from the presidential seal, so still got
that on the car. So so basically the car was
probably used by Johnson or Nixon or Ford.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Wow during that time.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
How did you get the car?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
I actually bought it through a broker. The family that
collected the car. The owner passed away, and he had
like forty five cars and they were in an underground
storage in Madison, Wisconsin, and we actually found it there
and I actually had to tow it on a flatbed
truck all the way out here because the wheels wouldn't
turn or nothing. The car was sitting for like forty

(09:39):
five years there, so we had to We had to
actually towe it on flatbed truck, costing nine thousand dollars
to tow it out here to get it sick.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
It's worth it. It's a beautiful car. I'm looking at
a picture of one now like, wow, what a car.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Yeah, but yeah, it was just amazing. It was such
a nice trophy. I was just very proud.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
And you went over there to the kids. That makes
it even more.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
That's the toughest judge too, Bob.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
The kids, Oh, I love it. But you know I said,
I let some kids sit in the car and all that,
and also some adults and there were there was just everybody.
It was just such an honor. Ye, Like I said,
make me very happy.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Congratulations. That's a great story.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
And thank you too. I listen to you guys all
the time too, so we really appreciate you. So thank
you very much for you know, your beautiful show on
the air.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
It's really nice of you make it a good day, Bob,
Thanks for calling.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Thank you again.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Bye bye, bye bye, Bob.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
And if you've got a brighter side for us, call
us eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one,
or send us a talkback with our iHeartRadio app on
this Talkback Tuesday. Easy to leave a message that way
anytime of the day or night.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
If there ever was a day for you to send
us a talkback, Talkback Tuesday is the day to do it.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, we're back in a second.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
The Breeze Christina Perry at seven twenty seven here on
ninety eight point one The Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Cordon. As we like to say, you
don't have to be in a classroom in order to
learn something, that is for sure. That is why we
bring you the more you know. It's sponsored by the
San Francisco Symphony.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
I love it so much, so you may think, because
we've always been told that the apple is the best
fruit for overall health, but apparently that is not true.
Do you want to take a guess knowing now that
the apple is not the best fruit for overall health,
best fruit for overall there's like a power fruit that
we should be eating on the regular.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Is it a berry? Is it in the berry family?

Speaker 2 (11:33):
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Why are you asking our question? I don't know. I'm
gonna gona throw out an apricot, no stone fruit.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Nope, it's a kiwi a kiwi. Yeah, they say kiwis
are among the most nutrient Are you going on Google?

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I want to find out if a kiwi isn't the
because a banana is considered a a berry.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
It is?

Speaker 1 (11:57):
How don't ask me?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Cork keeps try to move away from the microphone. Yeah,
they say kiwis are among the most nutrient dense fruits
that you can add your diet. They have more vitamin
seed than oranges and other fruits. What did you find?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
I'm looking right now. It's a Oh, here we go
kiwi fruit or the Chinese gooseberry. Oh, so it is
berry seed. That's I wonder because the seeds. It does
have seeds. Yeah, it's something and how it's made if
it defines what it is, which is why. Surprisingly a
banana is a berry and now we've just learned so
is a kiwi.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
We spend so much time figuring out if it's a
berry or not. The point of the story is a
kiwi is healthier for you than an apple. You should
be eating kiwi's on the regular. Also on this list grapefruits, lemons,
and limes just raw, like just eating a lemon like
an orange. I'm just reading the story. I can't get
into the detail.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Okay, you know what's interesting about kiwi's going back to
the kiwi is Not too long ago, my wife and
I decided we were going to dehydrate kiwi. We received
as a gift from somebody a nice dehydrator, wasn't that mine? Yes,
And we thought, you know, let's let's dehydrate a bunch
of stuff. And we'd heard dehydrated kiwi. Oh was a

(13:11):
good way to go.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Was it good?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
It like it dehydrated so much that like it was unrecognizable,
and it just it wasn't good.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
I feel like a kiwi is so sensitive, Like you
don't want to dehydrate a kiwi, but other things you can.
So Yeah. Now you know, kiwis are super fruits. Eat
them as often as you can. And that is how
the more you know works. We've all learned something we have.
We do it every weekday morning at this time you're.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Probably gonna stick to my afternoon apple though.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Okay, thank you. That's very supportive. Yeah, that's all we
have on all right, coming up at eight fifty this morning,
here on the Breeze, we are going to be commercial free.
We do this every weekday morning to start off your day.
Whether you're in the office, you're working at home, maybe
you drive for a living, you're in a rideshare vehicle.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Thanks for having us on making a part of your morning. Yeah,
ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing favorites that
comes your way at eight fifty here on the Morning Breeze. Hey,
good morning, Carolyn and Court. My name is Alex. I
live in Phoenix, Arizona. But I'm listening to your guys
show while I'm at work at Circle K. Huge fan
of the show. Just I want to wish you all
a great day. Okay, I love circle K. There's one

(14:20):
by my house.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Stacy, who's one of our listeners, works there. Hi, Stacy,
good morning. I doubt Stacy knows Alex because he's in Phoenix,
I mean circle K. Maybe they've had a holiday part
I don't know they need it the retreat, but I
can tell you the circle k selection of slim gyms
is second to none. And you know I love a
good slim gym and a coke zero.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, well so good, uh slim Jim's aside, Alex, thank
you so much for listening to the Breeze all the
way down in Phoenix, Arizona.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
And on a talkback Tuesday sending us a talkback. You
can do the same, thank you, Alex. Yes, with our
iHeartRadio app, just click that microphone button but the top
right corner to send us a message. Stevie Nixon. The
background on that is so great, so great. You also
should have heard the concert that was going on here
in the studio. I was when I was doing little
foot stomps and claps, so fun.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah was it? You say that? Sarcastic? All right, morning
Breeze Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
It's eight o nine and you said that your wife,
Court told you you've been doing something wrong.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Yeah. Well it came about because last night, head into bed,
my wife starts taking she cut her finger and so
she starts taking off her band aid. Yeah, as we're
going to bed, I'm like, what are you doing it? Out?
Probably that's what she said. She says, you take off
band aids at night, HM, so that they can air out.
And then I'm like, what are you talking about? She
says you sleep with your band aids. One, yeah, I do.

(15:44):
And apparently, according to my wife, you're supposed to take
off your band aids so that they can air out
at night.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I'm team Randy on this one. If I go to bed,
if I have a cut, let's say it's on my finger,
that's small enough, I take off my band aid at
night to air it out because I feel like the
air will help it heal quicker if you have the
bandit on your keeping it.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
I don't pardon my word here. Moist well much, Okay,
moist and moisture is the key word here because I've
done a little research. Wounds need no wound moisture in order.
You're stabbing in order in order to heal properly, So

(16:25):
you should be keeping that band aid on. It should
be what that I still dog should be wet.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
Okay, so many words I hate in this conversation. Okay,
I still think airing. My best friend is a doctor.
I was going to ask for the moms to call us,
so doctors moms interchangeable?

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Oftentimes moms are better than yeah, well at least more
in than no.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah, no, we need somebody to call and tell us,
because there's got to be a right here and wrong.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
This does prompt the question, though, what is something you've
been doing all of your life but you find out
has been wrong? And we've asked this question on our
Facebook page today and we're getting a lot of good
answers in there. People who have realized that the trash
bags that you get out of you know, when you
buy trash bags, they come inside out, so that when
you put them into the.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Well, wait, when you buy trash bags, they're inside out.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
The inside out. You're supposed to basically take the trash
bag and push it in through the center. There's lots
of videos, Yes, there's lots of videos on TikTok and
Instagram that demonstrate this. But next time you pull out
the trash bags, look at it. The seam is actually
you're looking at the inside of the trash bag when
you pull it out, as opposed to the outside of
the trash bag.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
My mind is blown.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
I don't know that it really matters. Oh okay, yeah,
but I also things people are realizing that they've been
doing wrong all of their life or just not realizing
that there's a different way to do this.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
So we have two things we need from you here, Okay,
not you, We need people to call which they are
with the airing, the band airing the cutout at night?
Do you wear a band aid? Is it better to
wear it with feet, keep it wet and moist or
is it better to let it air out? And also
what is something that you've been doing wrong without knowing that?
You can go to our Facebook page for that ninety

(18:07):
eight one of the Breeze, but call us eight seven
seven nine one nine eight one coming up later in
the hour eight fifty this morning, as you're starting your
day in the office or working from home, we are
going to be commercial free here on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
That's right, ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing
favorites and we'll start that off at eight fifty here
on the Morning Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
So Court's wife says when she has like a cut
on her finger at night, she takes the band aid
off to let the cut breeze.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yeah, which completely shocked me because I think you should
leave those band aids on.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
I am one hundred percent team Randy. I think you
need to let it breathe to let the wound heal.
But you're saying you need to keep the band aid on,
keep it moist. Okay, Michelle in ANTIOK, good morning.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
I'm kam Randy and Carolyn for the band aid as
long as the wound has stopped leading.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Thank you, miss shot. You don't want to get blood
in the bed. No, but again, it's stop bleeding. You're
letting it air out.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
I want to hear from a doctor Nate, who are
looking for moms and doctors on this one eight seven
seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. Have a
good day, Michelle.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
