The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breeze on Demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
They are the Eagles. It is six twenty Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
It is time for the Morning Breeze Brain Tease every
weekday morning. We invite you to join us and certainly
call us with your guesses. It is sponsored by My
Council Plumbing. You're in clean hands with My Council Plumbing.
See them online at mc plumbing dot com. Okay, the
question one more time, Court.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
All right, So, despite receiving help from AI, a recent
study found that these are consistently getting slower.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
This is going to be very interesting to see what
people guess, because this could go so many different ways.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh sure, we're at.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one. We
got Mars and Panol, good morning. What is your guess?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Our brain, our brain? Oh my gosh, that's so accurate.
I think I'm gonna give Mars a standing ovation. I mean,
I feel like Mars, you're right, but I'm guessing not right.
It's not the right answer. Dang it. For this question,
you're not right, but.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I think in general life you're so right. Anyway, Lars,
thank you for calling. Have a great day.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
All right, Chuck in Pleasant Hill, what do you think?
And the answer is answering questions because AI is very wordy. Yeah,
it's interesting when you if you use chat, GPD or
co pilot or whatever. How human these these AI bots
want to sound. They're like, that's a really great question,
and here's the answer to your question. So just answer
the question.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, you don't have to tell me all now. I've
had to read through three or four sentences.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
It's kind of like those recipes when you're like learning
a new recipe and you go to the recipe and
you get some story about how my grandma's mom's brother's
cousin first came up with this recipe when they crossed.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
The planes, and then it says, jump to recipe, yeah,
and just doesn't just give me the answer and just
give me the recipe.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I like that is that the answer? That is not
the answer the correct answer. Despite receiving help from AI,
fast food drive throughs are consistently getting slower, not.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Quicker, like the same reason people talk too much.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Well played, all right, Chuck, you have a good.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Day, Thank you too, love the show.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Bye, thank you so much. My question is, is I
know like different fast food chains have experimented with the
AI in the fast you know, as you're going through
the I and I know sometimes the first thing I
hear is a recorded message. I just don't know where
the AI comes in if if I don't think, I

(02:31):
just never go to fast food go through it.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I never experienced this, so yeah, now I'm kind of
curious to see who's like, who's doing it?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, if is it AI? Just listening to you put
your order and it's just like right automatically that in
the computer, but there's still a human there to to say, oh, welcome, Yeah,
And then.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
You pull up and you get your order and it's
wrong and you have to say to the person at
the window, this is wrong, and the person's wind is
like I.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Ordered two sausageons with eggs. Yeah. Oh, what a nightmare
for the people that work there. Yeah, that's probably what's
slowing it down. Probably, You're probably right. Court. We learn
twice on this brain tease. We do it.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Every single weekday morning at six point twenty. Always invite
you to play along again eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one. By the way, tomorrow morning, just
after seven o'clock, we want you to be here because
we will be announcing this week's Morning Breeze Person of
the Week.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah. This is where we talk about the good and
great people in the Bay Area. These are our family members,
our coworkers, members of our community. Maybe a coach that
share coaches your kids little league team.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Well, and that's the key is these are people that
you have introduced to us, that you have come to
us and said, I have a great person that would
make a good Person of the week. Somebody who stands
out in your life that's doing good for others. We
want to hear about them. So we will announce the
winner tomorrow just after seven, but please continue to get
us those nominations.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, and you can do that on our website ninety
eight one The Breeze dot com at ethrees. It's Nelly Fortato.
It's six forty two here on ninety eight point one
The Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court
and it's that time of the show where we turn
basically the agenda over to you. You steer the ship.
You're sitting in the pilot's seat, the big chear, the

(04:15):
big chair, will I will it's ask us anything you
can call us with your questions eight seven seven nine
eight one nine eight one, or send us those questions
using the talkback feature on our free iHeart radio app.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Glinda in Arkansas listening to us on our iHeart Radio
app Good Morning, ask us anything.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
What's your favorite go to when you're down and out
as far as soon?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Oh, like when you're sick. No, like you're you're down,
like you're pressed, Okay, yeah, when you're eating your feelings,
if you're depressed and you need a good shot food.
What's yours? Hamberger and fries?

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Really not chocolate?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
No, I'm like, I don't go to the sweets. I
go to the salty, and I like a hamburger and
fries for me for some reason. That's y's comfort food.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
What about what's about Carolyn?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I think mine would be like typhood. It's sort of
my everything reward. Like it's if I'm down and out,
if it's I'm excited in celebrating something. It's always like
I justify my feelings to be able to order more typhoons.
So if I see you eating typhood, I should not.
Something's going on.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Something's going on, but it could be good or bad
or bad court.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
You got.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
It's kind of the same with me burgers and fries.
But okay, if, for example, if you see me eating
a hamburger and I have a frown, then we know something.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
But if I see you eating a hamburger and you
got a smile on your face and I'm having a
good day, Linda, what about for you?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
What's your go to?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
I think popcorn?

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Oh I thought about that. That was almost gonna be
my answer. Do you make your own popcorn? Linda? Or
you do you throw it in the microwave?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:50):
No, I'm a microwave girl.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah, easy and quick.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Now I'm like, I can hardly waite the two minutes
until it is done.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, okay, So you're not like a kettle corn or
you're not, or you get like the choeddar cheese?

Speaker 2 (06:05):
No, no regular with me? A little bit of salt,
no better? Uh uh, you're simple. You're simple in the South. Yeah, yeah,
it does sound good.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
We're down to arc down here, your baby.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Well, we are honored you are listening in Arkansas. Thank
you for calling. Have a great day.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I love y'all.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Y'all have a good day you too. Okay, how cute
is she? It's such a great question.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
It is a good question. I had a freshly made
kettle corn the other day. It was so good. Oh
I know where it was. It was in Wisconsin and
my aunt Debbie had picked it up at some store
where they make it, and it was good.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
My wife will regularly, like for some reason when we
were having like like a strange dinner, like the girls
are off doing whatever. Sure, it's just us at home,
like just out of the fridge. There's no reason to
make anything. So I'll make myself something and my wife,
Randy will just make popcorn and that's okay with me,
and that's her dinner. Yeah, that's so great.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Do you remember the popcorn machines back in the day,
like the eighties and nineties air poppers?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yes, those are the mess and you put the little
pat of butter on tops and it would melt.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yes, Oh man, I want to bring that back. So
bad is a pretty great We need to look up
those machines. But yeah, that was great, So good. Good question.
Lindaz ask us anything, and we do it every weekday
morning at this time, but you can call us any
time during the show.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
We're here till ten o'clock.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
We've got a question that pops in your head later
in the day or right now, call us eight seven
seven nine, eight one, nine eight one, or send us
a talk back with our iHeartRadio app and be sure
to join us later in the show.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Eight fifty as we go commercial free, which means ninety
eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free relaxing favorites, and we'll
do that at eight fifty. Here on the Morning Breeze
seven oh nine.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
That's Christina Aguilera The Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord.
It is time for the Brighter Side. And you know
that because we do it every weekday morning at this time,
sponsored by Shriven Company, Luxury time pieces, fine designers and
Flawless Diamonds. The Brighter Side is exactly what it sounds like.
It is something good that's happening in your life. It's
something that brings joy to your life or makes you happy.

(08:12):
We want to hear those stories. Eight seven seven nine,
eight one, nine eight one.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Good morning, Gail in San Jose. Now we know you're
a teacher, but going back to school this year was
delayed for you. Tell us what happened.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Our first day of school was August thirteenth. Yeah, so
that's a Wednesday. I had twelve Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and
then Saturday I was in a horrific car accident. I
missed the first full of seven weeks of school.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I've been kind of out of sorts and I just
went back to school this week.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Wow, are you okay physically? Are you okay?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:53):
I am some some teenage or that was driving one
hundred miles an hour to ring into me. They hit
me in my car, spun around several times.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Then I tend to a stop.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
But I'm okay as I can be.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, so they were speeding. I mean, I'm assuming not
one hundred miles an hour, but they how fast do
you think they were going?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Well, that's what that's to say. The thing is, the
witnesses said, stopped, He called nine one one and made
sure I was okay. Told the officers he was dipping
in and out of changing lansing hundredthly hour.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
That's what. Oh my gosh, And remind us, Gail, you
teach kindergarten, right, you're a kindergarten. Kindergarten teacher, kindergarten teacher.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Yeah, we're so glad you're okay, and appreciate you like
calling to tell us how you're doing well. Thank you,
thanks again for calling in. Gail, have a good day
at school.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It's the Brighter Side and we do it every weekday
morning at this time, and if there's something good and
positive happening in your life, we would love to hear
from you. You can call us eight seven seven nine
eight one, nine eight one, or if you think you
can tell us your brighter side in thirty seconds, you
can also send it to us as a talkback on
our free I Hurt Radio.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
App Yes, and coming up a little later in the show,
at eight fifty this morning, we will be commercial free,
and that means for you ninety eight minutes of commercial free,
relaxing favorite.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
It's the perfect way to start off your workday or
whatever you might be doing today.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
We enjoy it as much as you do. Yes, commercial
free at eight to fifty. Here on the Breeze, it's
Benny King at seven twenty six. Here on ninety eight
point one the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Cord, and it's that time of the show where
we provide you've described this, Carolyn as nuggets of knowledge.
It is, and while I prefer my nuggets of the
chicken variety, I am one hundred percent down with this

(10:36):
because we're all gonna learn something together together. It's called
The More You Know, sponsored by the San Francisco Symphony. Yes,
and by the way, the holidays are coming, go to
the San Francisco Symphony. There is a good chance that
you may see somebody on this show narrating. Okay, well,
it's obvious something shows for the symphony. Obviously not me

(10:58):
for the holiday season. No, it's not all right. So
gen Zers tend to be a bit retro. That's kind
of their thing. We've heard about gen Zers. They're going
back to like using actual cameras, and they like CDs.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
I get quickly. Gen Zers are people ages thirteen to
twenty eight. Yes, so we love this about them. Well,
now they're doing something that could be saving businesses and
businesses here in the Bay Area for sure. Sixty percent
of gen Zers say they prefer to shop in person
at a store.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Now, for a while, it did seem like everybody was
shopping online. Yeah, gen Z says, we did that, but
we actually like to see and feel the clothing and
the other items before we buy them, and so they're
going back to shopping in person.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
So this could be the return of the mall, yes,
because that's why malls have become so vacant in a
lot of cases. Absolutely, a lot of us older people started,
like in the online shopping.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
And while we're talking about as older people, how long
have we been saying to these kids, go into a store,
support a local business, Smell that candle before you buy it,
try on those clothes. Now they're going, you know what,
we should go into the stores and try the clothes
on and smell the candles. So they're doing this and
they're loving it. I saw this on TV yesterday and

(12:19):
I of course wanted to bring it here to the show.
But like, even to see the video on television of
people going into stores again made me so happy. So
I hope this is a trend that continues and we
could save some businesses this way.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
It would be amazing. My two daughters love to go
shopping with my wife. That's one of their favorite things
to do. They try to do it like at least
once a week, even if they have no plan to
buy anything. They just like to go. It's the outing
they go they get a coffee they wanted around for
a few hours.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Do it guys like, go get that coffee and go
to the mall and hang out, or go to a
store and hang out.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Just don't lunch somewhere. Yeah right, yeah, you spillcut now,
I got a mom Yeah, but there you go. I
thought that was very cool the more you know.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Yeah, we do it every weekday morning at this time
at seven twenty five, we're at eight seven seven nine,
eight one oh nine eight one. Call us anytime. You
can always send us a message with our free iHeartRadio app.
There is a talkback microphone right there on the app.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, and you can send us those messages anytime of
the day, doesn't have to be during the Morning Breeze.
If you think of something you want to send to
us later in today, just do it again. Look for
that red microphone button, click it, leave your message. It'll
show up here in the studio.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
It's eight ten. That's Denise Williams on the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Cord. And we mentioned a minute ago
we've got a bonus brighter side this morning.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, which is something we normally do just after seven
o'clock where we talk about the good and positive things
happening in our lives, or you call in with your
good and positive things.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yes, so we have Vicki from NAPA who is holding
So you've got a bonus brighter side for us this morning.
I miss getting it in early this week.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
But this Saturday, I'm doing Alzheimer's Walk in Solano County.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Oh, you're doing Solano County. That's great. I have raised
over one thousand dollars. What that is awesome, Vicki. That
is so cool.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yes, and I'm doing it and memory with my mother,
my father.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
And my brother. Oh. That obviously sounds like it's something
that's important to you and hits close to home. For sure.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
It is.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
It is.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
I am so happy to do it, and I can't
wait to see everybody there supporting the same car.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Vicki. That is so great.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
There's actually one in San Francisco on Saturday that a
bunch of people at our radio station have teamed n
because so many of us are affected by Alzheimer's disease
as well. So a bunch of people here are doing
the San Francisco Walk. So that's so good to hear
about all these people that are getting out and doing
this good.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
It's good.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
The more the better.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Our mother, father, and our brother all had it. Yeah,
I've passed away from it.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
And that's why I think, you know, these walks are
so important to get out there and raise awareness and
certainly raise money. Yeah, and just bring more awareness to
this disease.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
It is so this one to get to let you
guys know.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
No, I'm so glad that you called, and I'm so
glad that you're reminding people that it is obviously a
really important organization and to get out there and walk
and support is great.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
And that's something I see you to do it in
their in their honor.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Yeah, if you can't walk, you know, support it financially.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Donation the walk somewhere.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yes, absolutely, Oh you're the best. Well, Vicky, thank you
for calling, and have a good walk. Let us know
how it goes next week.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I will, I will thank you, Okay, bye, VICKI. And
we should point out these walks are they're continuing to happen.
There's been walks in the Bay Area that have already happened,
depending on where you live, but as you put there,
the one in San Francisco is this weekend as well.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Right this weekend is San Francisco. Vicky referred to Solano County.
I believe that's the Fairfield Walk, which is happening on Saturday.
There's a walk in Stockton that is happening, and you
can go to the website alz dot org and right
there on the homepage they direct you to a walk
near you if you want to.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Get out and walk.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I've hosted countless numbers of Alzheimer's Association walks all over
the Bay Area and they do a fantastic job, and
you really every time I host, I wind up in
tears on stage because you really feel it from the
people that are there, because everybody's there for a different reason,
and it's obviously a very close organization of my heart

(16:23):
and my situation. So to everybody that's going out to walk,
thank you, VICKI, thank you, and again, get more information
on the website that's alz dot org.
