(00:23):
of adults haven't visited this place in over a decade.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Eight seven, seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
That is how you reach us with your guesses. First,
Lori and Nevada, you said you've got a guess. You
think you've got it. What do you think?
Speaker 4 (00:38):
The answer is?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
The fir thing that comes to mind is Gosneyland.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Disneyland.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
That's appropriate since we're doing with Disneyland tickets this week, right.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
And saying that was the part growing up in her
months the beach. My sister's godfather got five hundred dollars
a month of tickets.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Oh what wait, who was he working for?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Gave gave me carom wow wow. So he set up
to mom and Mom loaded up the entire neighborhood and
took the citizen and dropped us off the nine and
picked this up.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
A god, it's like a fairy tale, like what people
think about living in southern California.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
You live in southern California and there's like Disneyland, it's
just floating all over. You must go to Disneyland all
the time. Yeah I did, Yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
I I live in the Kickoff with Tim Conway and
Dick Van Dyke. Oh what it was wonderful. It was
such a fun, fun way to grow up.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
That's such, that's so neat. Great story, great guess, but
not the right answer.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Well I will be to hear the right answer.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
All right, make it a good day, Lorie.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Thanks to lay all right, Preston and San Jose, good morning.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
What is your guess?
Speaker 5 (01:54):
I think I had the library the library. Yeah, I
feel like just because the Internet is now such a
prevalent thing, it's not like it used to be with
like the likes one at the code to the library. Yeah,
don't do anything right.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I used to love the library as a kid. Preston.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
I don't know how old you are, but back in
the day you sound a little bit younger.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Than us. Back in the day, the library was the jam.
You'd ride your.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Bike, you check out a book, you'd hit the ice
cream shop on the way home.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
It was great. No, boy, it sounds like I was
born in the forties. Look at yourself. Go get yourself
a licorice rope. Preston's like, I can't relate to any
of Go visit, go visit o man Jenkins at the market. Okay,
knock it off.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Is it library?
Speaker 4 (02:33):
It's not library? I mean it is library. It is. Library?
Is the correct answer, Preston. It was very very well
thought out. Library is the correct.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
As have you got that? And you worked it out too,
Like your reasoning was very good.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
I think though, if if there's a chance, if you're
a parent and you have kids, you may have been
to a library, because we always try to take our
daughters to the library all the time frequently. But when
you get older and you don't have a kid to
go to the take to the library.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Oh where are you going?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
No, you're not wrong, all right, Preston, thank you for calling,
Thanks for playing. Congrats again on the win.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
Thank you, couch nice.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
It's the morning breeze brain tease and we do it
every weekday morning at six point twenty here on the
Morning Breeze.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yes, and coming up this morning at eight oh five,
we have your next chance to win those tickets to
the Disneyland Resort.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Yeah, the holiday's kickoff November fourteenth, which is just around
the corner. Plus it's their seventieth anniversary celebration happening inside
the park.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I know, so exciting, and we know you want to go,
So be here at eight oh five for your chance
to win those tickets four oh five as.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Well, here on the Breeze and Birth Louise.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and the
Culture Club at six forty three. And because it's six
forty three, that means it's time for ask Us Anything.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yes, a chance for you to ask us any question
on your mind. It could be about us or the show.
It could be about something that like a story that
you heard from a friend and you're wondering, what do
Carolyn in Court think of this? I think another opinion?
Sure eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
You can send us a talkback with our iHeartRadio app.
(04:12):
That's actually where our ask Us Anything is coming from today.
We just got to talk back.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
What's the best way to enter the cash payday for
one thousand dollars?
Speaker 6 (04:24):
I want to know how long.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Do you guys start out the every hour? So do
I need to wait for like hours or just one hour?
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Love you?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
So of course we're talking about the work day pay day. Yeah,
in the breeze, which is your chance at one thousand dollars.
We give out keywords nine times a day, starting at
nine to twenty in the morning through five twenty a night,
and you can play every single hour.
Speaker 5 (04:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
And here's the thing a lot of people don't know,
And this is why I'm glad we got this talkback
on this with the workday payday, if you win the money,
and I think she was kind of alluding to this,
you will find out within the hour because you'll get
a call from a number that will be a blocked
phone number. If you get a call, I feel weird
telling people to answer a block number.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
But if it's within the.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Hour, and if you're playing the Workday paida yeah, it's
definitely worth it to pick up that call because that
could be one thousand dollars on the other line.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
But if you don't receive that phone call, then just
keep playing every hour. Yeah, there's a benefit to listening
to the Breeze every hour, three workday.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, one thousand dollars. I mean as we come to
the holidays. Oh man, heck, yes, all right, So ask
us anything. That's how it works. Any question goes. We
do it every weekday morning here at six forty on
the Breeze and.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Our minder coming up this morning at eight oh five,
it's another chance to win tickets to the Disneyland resort.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yes, they are celebrating the holidays, and they're celebrating their
seventieth anniversary. And I don't know one person that would
say no to four tickets to Disneyland. That would be
very strange if it happened. Yeah, So be here at
eight oh five. That's your next chance to win on
the Breeze. You be forty at seven oh eight here
on ninety eight point one the Breeze. It's the Morning
(05:58):
Breeze with Carolyn and Cordon. Time now for the Brighter Side,
sponsored by Shriving Company, Luxury time Pieces, Fine Designers and
Flawless Diamonds. So earlier in the week we had somebody
call in who had visited the Bay Area for the
first time, and today I believe our brighter side is
somebody calling in who moved away from the Bay. Good
morning the Breeze. Okay, So tell us your brighter side.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
I used to be from San Jose, California, and we
moved to Texas.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
You moved to Texas?
Speaker 6 (06:26):
Yeah, and I carried you with me.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Yeah, that's so nice. You took us with you to Texas.
What's your first name?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Oh? Yeah, Vicky, VICKI how dedicated you are to the breeze.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
We really appreciate that, Yeah, of course.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
So how long did you live in California before you moved?
Speaker 5 (06:45):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (06:45):
My god, fifty sixty years.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Okay, all right, So why did you move to Texas?
What was the story behind you moving?
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Now?
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Because my husband retired and you used to be with
the Air Force, and so we thought maybe it's time
to go somewhere else.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Try something different. What do you think of Texas?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
It's okay?
Speaker 4 (07:07):
Is what they say true?
Speaker 6 (07:08):
Vicky?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Everything's bigger in Texas? Is that true?
Speaker 6 (07:12):
It is very true. Really, it's very difficult to get
to anywhere here. You have to drive, you cannot walk.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Oh, are people nice in Texas. I always envision that
everybody's nice and says, how do y'all?
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Oh they are, but my heart belongs there.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Well, that's one of the great things about our iHeart
Radio app. As we hear from people that do move
like you did, and they say, it's so nice because
we can take the breeze with you on our I
Hurt Radio app. And you still feel like you're in
California a little bit, hanging out with your friends.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Still.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
I still have a family there. Most of my relatives
are there.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
This way, you can call us any time and say hello,
and it still feels like you're in San Jose.
Speaker 6 (07:58):
Oh yeah, I'm always listening for you.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
That's so sweet, Vicky. Thank you, Sure you got your both,
have a good day, you.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Too, and y'all come back now you hear I don't
think Vicky says, oh, that's.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
What they say in Texas. Isn't that what they say
in Texas? Vicky? They don't say that.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
No, no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
She's never heard that once. All right, I thought i'd
give it a try. All right, have a good day.
Speaker 6 (08:24):
You're too. Happy Halloween?
Speaker 4 (08:25):
So sweet, I know, thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
And if you've got a brighter side. We would love
to hear from you. You can call us eight seven
seven nine eight one oh nine eight one, or use
the talkback feature on our free iHeartRadio app and coming

this point, it's a chance for you to go to
the Disneyland Resort. And we can say with a lot
of confidence every single person that has won these tickets
(08:50):
for the Disneyland Resort so far has been so excited. Yeah,
a lot of reasons for you to go to the
Disneyland Resort right now. The holidays are kicking off November
fourteenth and it's their seventieth anniversary celebration.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah, so be here at eight oh five and four
oh five. Your next chance is to win Disneyland Resort
tickets on the Breeze.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's you two at seven twenty eight here on ninety
eight point one the Breeze.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Happy Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Thank you for being here every weekday morning at this
time we bring you the more you Know and it
is sponsored by our friends at the San Francisco Symphony.
And you mentioned court that this one has to do
with trigger treating and putting an age limit on it,
which I love.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
This conversation. I can't wait to hear about this. Yeah,
should there be an age limit on trigger treating? That
was part of a survey that was recently conducted to
find out what age people generally think kids should stop
trigger treating.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
I mean, do you have an opinion on this before
you even give us I've.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Had an evolving opinion on this, okay, which was that
when you get to like the upper teens, you should
probably count yourself out.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I feel that way as well, but that was it
was probably five ten years ago. Now I'm just like,
I don't care real and to be honest with you,
the quicker I can get rid of my candy, the
sooner I can turn off my lights.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
I mean that. I think you're speaking for the people
right there. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
According to the survey, twenty six percent of adults say
that there should be no age limit on kids because
you're never it's never too old to trick or treat.
Oh okay, yeah, nineteen percent suggests that seventeen or eighteen,
So it's kind of what I would say. Yeah, upper teenage, well,
fifteen percent say you should stop at fifteen or sixteen,
kind of in that middle teenage, I.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Think I'm along the nineteen percent. Like you can trick
or treat.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I'm not saying you can, but I think you should
be able to trick or treat through high school. You know,
when I was a high school kid, I felt like
I was old at seventeen or eighteen trick or treating,
like you know, you know, when you're a kid, you're
too old sometimes to be trick or treating. But now
that i'm whatever age and I look back on high school,
they are still kids, right. But just don't come to
(10:54):
my house because the lights are off and I'm not
going to answer the door. Yeah, and there's no candy
on the ports.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
You know, you don't even do the ports thing? Yeah,
all right.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
It is the more, you know, And we do it
every weekday morning here at seven twenty five. You can
reach us anytime eight seven seven nine, eight one oh
nine eight one, send us a talkback with our iHeartRadio
app as well.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
And don't forget coming up this morning at eight oh five.
It's another chance to win those tickets to the Disneyland resort.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Think about how much fun you and three guests could be.
Your kids could be your friends, whatever your situation is.
Four tickets for you if you're the right caller for
the Disneyland Resort. We'll do it at at oh five
here on the Breeze. It's the morning Breeze. It's Carolyn
and Court. We cannot tell you how excited we are
for you that you are caller twenty and you just
(11:39):
won those Disneyland Resort tickets for eight oh five.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
Hi, you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
We would never kid you about that.
Speaker 6 (11:47):
I'm so oh my god, oh my god, Oh my god,
Tony calling from Dublin.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Nice Tony, You've got yourself four tickets to the Disneyland Resort.
Speaker 6 (11:57):
Oh my gosh, oh my god, I'm so excited. Oh
my god. I think you think you think my grandkids
were going to be so excited.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
And don't forget. The holidays begin November fourteenth at the
Disneyland Resort, and we want to make your holidays magical
with a visit to the resort to celebrate seventy years
of happy And don't forget we'll have another chance for
you to win, coming up at four oh five this afternoon,
and then again at eight o five tomorrow here on
the Morning Breeze, Court.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Do you have anything in your life where you sort
of force yourself to do something that.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
You almost don't want to do. You're forcing your own hand. Yes, yeah,
do you ever do that?
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I years ago when I wanted to redo some of
the hardwood floors in our house. Yeah, I had watched
a ton of videos on it. I talked to my
wife about it. She was supportive of it. But then
I kept talking myself out of it because I really
I don't. I have no eight I have no business
doing that.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
A lot of it's a project.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
So finally, what it took is me actually going in
and damaging my hardwood floors, which forced me to fix
the problem and then do what I wanted to do.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Okay, that's funny.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
On the same lines, this is exactly what I was
going to say. So mine is a little different. Not
hardwood floors, but skiing and snowboarding. I've been snowboarding for
many years, but every year I say, this is it.
I'm retiring. And by the way, I snowboard once a
year with my friend Stasia. Last season I said that's it.
She's like, no, we have to go this season, meaning
(13:21):
this season I told her I'm retired. She said, get
a pass, we're going even though it's not time yet. Sure,
I bought a pass for Kirkwood. I spent the money
to force my own hand to go snowboarding with.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
So does your brain operate that way where because you've
spent the money, you're now going to go Okay.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Yeah, good, because I have to because there's oftentimes where
I'll spend money on something and then never do it,
like gym membership. Oh I see what you're saying. I
think a lot of people do it with the gym.
It's the same thing.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
That's my way of telling you on the ear, I'll
be taking a day off in the winter to go
snowboarding with Station. Okay, okay, I'm writing that down it
but after this, this is it?
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Right, this is it. I'm hanging it up.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Sure maybe next Sure, But if you have the same
situation where you have to force your own hand for something,
what was that for you? Eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one or send us a talk back
with our iHeartRadio app And coming up later on this hour,
we're going to be commercial free, as we always are
here on the Breeze.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
That's right, ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing
favorites helping you start your workday. So be here at
eight point fifty on the morning breeze
