Speaker 1 (00:44):
Over two billion cans of this have been sold since
it was first put on the shelves in the nineteen fifties.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
All right, let's see what people think. We've got K
holding in pleasanton K Good morning. What is your guest
this morning?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I would say spam?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Spam?
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Are you a spam fan? People either love it or
hate it. I do like spam.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay, I like spam as well. I would like to
throw myself into that category.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Kay, how do you eat your spam with eggs?
Speaker 3 (01:14):
But I fry it up. I fry it up and
then ant scrambled eggs to it and a little bit
of cheese.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Keep talking.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
I never had I've never had spam before.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Never can. There's a love things you haven't done.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Would you just get on the ball and get it done? Well,
I'm working with little Carland.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Okay, okay, hey, Court, I have a deal.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Court.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You need to make Carolyn some lunch for breakfast whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
You Yeah, some spam.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
I like your thinking.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Kay, Hey, I'm all on board if I get to that,
and if I get to share the love of spam
with Carolyn, Man, there you go. Spam is a really
good guess. But spam was actually debuted in the third
ease and they estimate over nine billion cans of spam
(02:03):
have been consumed.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
So great guess all right, you two? All right, Russ
and Napa, you're up.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
What do you think I'm gonna say? Spam? Another guess
of spam.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Just got a guess for spam right before you.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I actually thought this would be one where people got
it right away, and this would be the shortest brain
tease ever.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
I think a lot of people associate the fifties with
spam because rush when you hear the answer to this,
you're going to go four. It's not spam. Two billion
cans of Plato have been sold since they debuted the
fifties Plato honor system.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
With your answer, Were you a guy that ate Plato
as a kid?
Speaker 4 (02:47):
No, well I did not.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Breaking news Court put his hand.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
On add myself to that category.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Have you too, you ate Plato?
Speaker 1 (03:01):
I sure did.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Did you eat a particular color?
Speaker 1 (03:05):
I think I was partial to the blue, but I
think I think I was an equal opportunity Plato.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Eater did have a different taste.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
It was salty. Know, they all tasted the same. I
think it was just all about the color. Here's how
it would start. Let me let me walk you through this.
You're a boy. You're making little worms out of your Plato,
because that's typically what you did, is you made little
snakes or worms. Yeah, you've got a short one. Suddenly
you're like, oh, I'm going to make my teeth look funny,
So yeah, stick those to your teeth thu so that
you got so that you got blue teeth and you're like, hey,
(03:33):
look at me, and then you're like, oh, this is
this is salty, this is it's a little good. All right,
Lunch isn't for a couple hours.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
It's the Morning Breeze Brain teas we play every weekday
morning here at six twenty and coming up later on
in the show this morning at eight fifty to start
your workday, we're going to be commercial free.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, ninety eight minutes of non stop, commercial free, relaxing
favorites and we'll kick that off at eight fifty here
on the Morning Breeze.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Breeze. That song is such a jam. Love it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Six thirty nine Morning Breeze Carolyn and Court, and it's
time for the More you know. We do it every
weekday morning at this time. The more you know.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Today coming from Court.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
So you've heard of introverts. You've heard of extroverts. For
those of you that are not familiar with this, let's
do a quick review, Carolyn ok. An introvert is somebody
that likes to doesn't like to go out. Is typically
it would rather stay in than go to a party.
And they're kind of shy by nature.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah, they're not the ones that are loud and extroverted,
which is the extrovert is.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
The people who are loud, who love to go who
love social settings, love to go out. Well, apparently there
is a third category now, according to a psychiatrist, it's
kind of the combination of the two, okay, and it's
called an otrovert antrovert oltrovert o t R O v
e r T an otrovert o tr squeeze. Somebody who
is not quite an introvert, but not quite an extrovert.
(05:04):
They are socially capable, but they don't really like to
hang out with people in big groups. I think that
might be an That's what I'm thinking too.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Oh my gosh, are we sure it's an utrovert and
not an outrovert.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
I didn't have tomato, I.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Believe, So which one do you liketrovert?
Speaker 3 (05:23):
No? I think outrovert. It's fine, But yeah, is this
really a thing?
Speaker 1 (05:30):
This is the thing. Otroverts thrive in one on one relationships.
They prefer working and socializing independently. They do okay in groups,
but they would rather just not. They kind of dislike
group interactions and traditions. And stuff like that. They fill
out of place when they get into like a big
group of people.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
They're like, Okay, I think I'm changing my mind. I
think I'm an extrovert still, Okay, but I think you're
at yeah, because we'll have gatherings at the office, and
you know, it's a bunch of radio people. By nature,
a lot of us are extroverts. But you're usually pretty
quiet those groups. You just kind of hang on tick.
You just stick it all in with family too. You
(06:12):
do that when you're with your whole family. I'll look
over and you'll just be kind of quiet.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I don't need to be the star of the show.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Ultrovert like this.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Though.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Ultroverts are highly empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Oh this is now, it all makes sense why we're
doing this story.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, and we've actually known, according to this psychiatrist, we've
actually known some famous outroverts, one of which is named
Albert Einstein.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Okay, is this whole thing?
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I basically say, Carolyn, I'm a genius.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
That's what I thought. And now that's how it works
on the more. You know, that's interesting though, it really is. Yeah,
we do it every weekday morning at this time at
six poin forty call us for anything, just to say hello.
You want to you know an otrovert in your life, yes,
or an otrovert if you want to tell us how
to pronounce it.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Maybe you know how to pronounce it.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Please.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
If you're a psychologist, you could always send us a
talkback on this talkback Tuesday with our iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
As I highly recommend you do that because again, if
you're going to send the talkback, let today be the day.
Easy to do. As you're streaming the Breeze, just look
for the red microphone button, click it, leave your message.
It'll come here into the studio and you never know,
you may hear yourself on the radio.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Absolutely our iHeartRadio app free in your app store of
ninety eight one The Breeze dot com it's in sync
at seven eight It is the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court. It's time for the Brighter Side this morning. Yeah,
these are the good and great things happening in your life.
That's what it's all about. Eight seven seven nine eight
one nine eight one. Brighter Side sponsored by Shriven Company.
(07:47):
Luxury time pieces find designers and flawless diamonds.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
This morning.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
On the brighter side, we're going to talk to Josh
who's in Dublin now. He just got back from a
trip to Chicago where he went to the biggest Starbucks
in the world Court five stories, five stories.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yes, I would have to imagine that that's a little
overwhelming pretty much.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
I mean there's like these these circular escalators and you
you know, all different you can watch them make in
all these different kinds of coffees, and then there's a
balcony up top. They even have a bar with all
these different types of alcoholic coffees that you can cut,
taste and try. So there's a bit a bit more
than I could do in an hour.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
But yeah, I mean, how does that go when it
comes time to ordering? Do you go up to the
counter and what if Heaven forbid you just order? Like, oh,
just give me a dark roast? Do they did they
tell you to leave?
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Yeah? It's I got like a flight of cold brews
because they have all these. Normally, if you want a coldbrew,
you just go to Starvice. I'll get a colbrew. They
have one kind, but they had you know, like twenty
different ones based on all their different reserve roasts, and
so you're kind of like, well, I just I'll try
the flight. I guess. So I got three different ones
I got to try. It's fun.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
When you did the flights, were you actually able to
tell the difference between the different coffees?
Speaker 4 (08:59):
You can, yeah, because there was a nitro, there was
one that was brewed cold brew, and then there was
one that was you know, pour over hot over ice.
So they were all like different consistencies and different vicidities,
and so you're kind of like, well, different smoothnesses.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Josh, now that you're back in the Bay Area, you're
going to go to like a Dublin Starbucks and feel
like you're such an expert.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
That's right, That's right, that's right.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Well, Josh, that is very cool. Sounds like a fun experience.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Well, thank you. Yeah, it was a good time.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Well thanks for calling, Josh.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Bye.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
So, Carolyn, if that's the largest Starbucks right in the world,
is that Starbucks that we passed in downtown San Francisco
yesterday the smallest?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Okay, So Cordon I went to brunch yesterday and we
were walking. We were down by the Embarcadero. I can't
remember what street it's over by the Hyatt and Embarcadero. Anyway,
we walked past the Starbucks which is closed, but we
realized it's a mobile only.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Mobile only. Yeah, you have to order ahead of time.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah, and it's got like a countertop, no seating.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Yeah, it's a tiny little place, teeny tiny.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
So you're still right.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
It's the ing in the it's Josh with the five
story Starbucks in Chicago, and it's San Francisco with a
little beanie Starbucks. And by the way, those are all closing,
all those mobile where you just go and get your coffee.
So rip to what we walked past yesterday. If you
have a brighter side for us eight seven seven.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Nine eight one oh nine to eight one.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
And also if you have a question for us, call
that same number because coming up next it's ask us
anything anything on your mind. We will attempt to answer it.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yes, you can also send us a talk back on
this talk Back Tuesday. Just use our iHeartRadio app to
do that. Push that microphone next to the play button
on our app when you're listening to the Breeze, ask
us anything Coming up next, it's.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Music from the Eagles. It's seven twenty six here on
ninety eight point one The Breeze. You've got the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Cordon, and that's that time of
the show where we turn it over to you with
your questions, a chance for you to call into the
show and ask us anything. You can also send us
your questions via text, instant message on Facebook or Instagram.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Are you okay?
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Because you said text and I'm like, I don't think
people can text us.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
They can't take I appreciate you throwing that out.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
I just think anytime you type on your phone, it's
kind of a texting process.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Okay, Mom, Yeah, sure is it? Sure is?
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Send us your questions is what I'm asking?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
All right, it's ask us anything. Yes, And we did
receive an email from Reggie and Conquered. He emailed us
through our website ninety eight one Thebreeze dot com. He
wants to know Carolyn and Court if you have to
make a choice, are you choosing coke or pepsi?
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Oh that's a controversial one.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
People are either very passionate about coke or they're very
passionate about pepsi.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Pepsi. All right, on the count of three, Court ready, yep?
One two? Three doctor Pepper. Yeah, it's not doctor Pepper Court.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
If I had my brothers, I would take doctor Pepper
over either of those two.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
That is not one two three coke. Nice.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Yeah, I used to be. I used to be a
pepsi fella. My family is actually a pepsi family. My
parents are hardcore into pepsi. Oh to the point where
like if the if they've come and visit and all
I have is coke, Like my dad won't talk to me.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Well, we grew up.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
When we grew up in Illinois, we had our best friends.
My mom was best friends with Missus Collins and we
were best friends with with her daughters.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
She always was slug in a diet pepsi.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, every time we went over there, diet pepsi for
days in that house, stacked up in the closet she
had went out on the table.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
She loved her diet pepsi.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
It's interesting though, though over time my allegiance has it's
gone back and forth. So I was always I enjoyed pepsi.
It's sweeter I believe than Yeah, it is typical is
But when I switched to diet, I didn't like diet coke.
I liked diet pepsi more. However, about four or five
years ago they changed their formula. Diet pepsi did die
(13:02):
pepsi did oh, And now I prefer diet coke over pepsi.
But that coke zero is pretty great. Zero is where
it's at. But again, diet doctor Pepper, Okay, you can't
go well. And if you get the cherry diet Doctor Pepper,
that's good, Evan so good. It's like a cherry coke
is so good. Only have that at the movies. Wow,
(13:24):
welcome to Soda Talk on the Morning Breeze. But yeah,
I love a good coke. So Reggie good one great question. Yeah,
send us any question in the world. We will answer it.
That is the point of asking us anything. We do
it every weekday morning at this time seven twenty five.
You can use our iHeartRadio app. It is a talkback Tuesday.
To send us a message with our app. Yeah, easy
to do while you're streaming the Breeze. Just look for
(13:45):
that red microphone button, click it, leave your message. It'll
come here into the studio.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Yeah, we want to remind you also coming up later
in the show eight fifty this morning, as you're starting
your day in the office or whatever it is that
you have going on this morning.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
We will be commercial free.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing favorites, and
we'll kick that off at eight fifty. Here on the Breeze,
it's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. Hi, good morning.
Where are you calling from.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
I'm calling from Reading, Pennsylvania and I love your station.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
How nice of you, you said, reading Pennsylvania.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
Yeah, west of Philadelphia, south of the Pocono. So I
don't know if you ever heard of the Pocono Taylor
Swift Country.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
I didn't realize that.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Yeah, pride yourself on living in Taylor Swift Country.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Yeah that's okay, so funny. Yeah, that's okay. But anyway,
I love the station.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
That's nice. Thank you very much. What's your first name?
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Gary? Gary?
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Thank you for listening, Gary Always, thank you. Okay, bye
bye bye.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
So music from Journey at eight eight. Here on ninety
eight point one the Breeze, It's the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I mentioned a minute ago that I feel like I
have become that woman, like I'm finally that woman on
the roads. Before I even go into this story, you
said to me, and then I to go, I quickly agree.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I agree, you're becoming that woman. You don't even know.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
What I'm about to tell you. So let's just start there.
What do you think is making me in your eyes
that woman?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
I feel in the time that I have known you,
the frequency of you saying kids these days has God,
there's an uptick, a slight uptick that's all, nothing crazy.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
That has nothing to do, nothing concerning about on the roads.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Okay, so now you've just brought that up.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I had no idea. I have no idea what you're
about to share with this.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
So I have noticed more and more lately I've caught
myself on the roads that I am becoming that lady
that always has her blinker on and doesn't know it.
It happened this morning on the way into work, as
I made that merge from five eighty on to eighty
to get to the MacArthur Mays. I'm driving and I
kind of look and I go, oh, my gosh, my
(16:02):
blinker is still on, and how long has it been on? Yeah,
it happened to me a couple of days before that.
Now this is the lady that I used to say,
look at that old lady driving with her blinker on.
And now I realize and admit, I've become that lady.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
When you get behind somebody that has their blinker on
and they're obviously unaware that it's on.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Huge eye roll, like, hey, buddy, which way you're going? Yeah,
what are you doing? Your blinker's on?
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Come on?
Speaker 3 (16:28):
And now I can't really say that because I've become
that lady.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
You would think, with technology being what it is, that
newer cars would know, and maybe they do. Maybe the
fancier cars. No, if you like your blinkers on, but
you haven't gone left or right yet, they just turned
themselves off.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
That's adorable.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
I drive a twenty fifteen, so my car is not
equipped to tell me that my blinker is on.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I'm just I'm just thinking. I'm trying to help you
out because you're not the only one that suffers from
this problem.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
No, I know there are others.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I don't know how to correc this except to I
don't know, pay more attention on the roads, quite possibly,
which I am paying attention to the point where I'm
so focused I don't know my blinker's on still, So
I just have to have to get past that.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
One of my biggest frustrations that is blinker related is
where you turn on your blinker and you make the turn.
You're actually you do turn, but because it's kind.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Of a soft turn, it doesn't go off.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
It never goes off, like for example, if you're coming
off of the Bay Bridge into downtown San Francisco, there's that.
I think it's the I don't know what you talk about,
the Fifth Street. No, it's before Fifth Street like Harrison Harris.
It's the Harrison exit. It's kind of a soft turn.
It's not a hard, hard left, a gentle left off
the bridge. Yes, and you're if your blinker's on, it's
(17:43):
going to remain all you need.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
To hear that click and then you know when your
wheel goes back around blinkers in turn off.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Anyway, then we have some auto engineers listening to us
right now. Help help us out.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Well, I think we need more help than that. We've
got much bigger problem. We should just probably pay attention
to our driving bill. Yeah, I need to focus a
little more on the blinker situation. All right, we're at
eight seven seven, nine eight one. It is a talkback Tuesday,
so send us your talkbacks. With our iHeartRadio app and reminder.
Coming up on Friday, we will be naming a new
Morning Breeze Person of the Week, but we need your nominations.
(18:16):
We've gotten some great ones already this week for this
coming Friday, and it's only Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
And by the way, if you send us a.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Nomination for a Morning Breeze Person of the Week and
you don't hear that person on the air that week,
we hang on to those nominations you're still in. Yeah,
don't think that if you send it and you don't
hear it then we just throw it away. We actually
keep them and we will get to you eventually, but
continue to send them in. We're looking for somebody for
this Friday. Make that nomination at ninety eight Onethebreeze dot com.
