Speaker 2 (00:30):
Okay, our question today, I like this one.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Most people do this when they're awake, but about a
quarter of us do it as we sleep as well.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
All right, let's see what you think. Eight seven seven nine,
eight one oh nine to eight one. All kinds of
people calling for this one this morning. Efrin in PACIFICA.
You're up first. What do you think? The answer is?
I definitely have coughed in my sleep, but not that often.
I'm sure you have as well.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Court.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I never never happen. Okay, that's that I can recall
for making that fun friend. Have you coughed in your sleep?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, see it happens. Okay, all right, See that seems
to make sense.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Is that the answer? The answer is not cough?
Speaker 4 (01:10):
All right? We have a good day you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
All right, alright, all right, Patty and Nevado, good morning.
What do you think The answer is?
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Laugh? Because I laugh in my sleep?
Speaker 2 (01:20):
You do? How do you know? You laugh in your sleep?
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Up?
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Who else laughs in their sleep? My daughter Quinn? Really
and we'll be on vacation and it'll happen. And it's
the creepiest thing because in the middle of the night,
in the dark, yeah, laughing, Well, I think I laughing
out of the blue in the middle of the Night's
it's kind of scary. If you're not doing it, you
(01:47):
are correct, that is the you got She got it
quarter of us apparently laugh in our sleep.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Whoa, Patty, she's laughing now. She laughs when she's sleeping.
Why she's away?
Speaker 5 (02:01):
Good?
Speaker 4 (02:02):
I love you guys, I love always so much interesting
things to learn.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
We appreciate that, all right, Patty, keep on laughing. Have
a good day you thanks so right? All right, that
was such an interesting one, Cord.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, and again my uh, my daughter Quinn when you know,
like we're on vacation and then a hotel. Yeah, every
now and then we'll get to and it's like a
snicker laugh.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
That is so awesome yet creepy at the same time. Yeah,
that's cool. That was good.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
All right, Morning Breeze brain teas. We do it every
weekday morning at this time at six twenty the Breeze
that is Mariah Carey, six forty, the morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Cord. And because it is six forty, it
is time for the more you know, with cords.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
So researchers have found decreased risk of skin cancer in
people with tattoos.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
That's the deal with tattoos that you were saying a minute.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, the Huntsman Cancer Instito, which is located in my
home state of Utah. It's one of the best cancer
research institutes in the world. Okay, they found that people
with two or more tattoos showed a decreased risk of melanoma.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Okay, I'm sure you're going to explain why there.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
They've got a few theories. Tattooed individuals may be more
diligent with some protection just because oh, if they're tatt yeah,
because they're tatted up. And you know, especially when you
get that first when you get that first tatt you
like your skin is flaking off and its tender, and yeah,
you get used to putting lotions and stuff on.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
You don't want it to fade. Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Second of all, they may are starting to believe that
tattoos may actually work as a physical barrier to UV rays.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Oh interesting because the ink I'm assuming Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, and then third tattooing may trigger an immune response
that helps fight pre cancerous cells.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
They of course go out and say this is not
a green light for everybody to rush out and get
a tattoo for help.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
As do we.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
More research is needed, but it's it's really interesting. They
did also find, though, that people with one tattoo actually
showed a higher risk of a certain type of melanoma.
So it changes when you get that second tattoo.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
I was gonna say that story took a turn I
did not see coming. But yeah, okay, so if you
have one tat we're gonna put an asterisk here, go
out and get a second one.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Right.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
It's kind of like with all things on the morning breeze,
go check with your doctor before you do anything.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah, and this kind of fights kind of the idea
that's been around for a long time, which is that
tattoo inc Increases cancer risk. They're finding that it technically doesn't.
Interesting it may actually help, but again may actually help.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Good, the more you know today, Court, all right, we're
at eight seven seven.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Nine eight one. Reach out any time for anything. You
can also do that with our iHeartRadio app by using
that talkback microphone on.

eight to fifty on The Breeze.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Oh seven with Natalie and Bruia.
Speaker 1 (05:16):

Breeze with Carolyn and Court and time now for the

that you experience that just makes you happy.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
If it brings a smile to your face, it qualifies
as a brighter side.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Give us a call. Eight seven seven nine eight one,
nine eight one.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
We mentioned a minute ago that Jay, who's one of
our listeners who lived here in Elsirito in the Bay Area,
recently moved to Alabama.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
So Jay, how's it going. How's the move?
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Ben?
Speaker 2 (05:57):
How are things?
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Oh? Yeah, I'm enjoying it. Love. But we got two
acres right on the water. We have a four hundred
and sixty five foot of waterfront and it's nice. We're
right next to a public dock, so it's not secluded.
You know. We get to see people coming and going
to it's nice.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Would you say things are living up to your expectations
or the exceeding expectations.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Living up to Okay, it hasn't cooled off enough to
exceed him yet.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
No, you're still and you're still new there, you know.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah, we've only been here. We got here July sixth,
and then we haven't done. We haven't quite got to
where we want to be at because you know, we
tried to go buy a boat and this is boating seats,
so it's crazy right now. Yeah, we're going to wait
till November, October November and then go get a boat.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
So, Jay, what would you say the biggest difference is
from living here in the Bay and moving to Alabama.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
There's not a lot of difference where we were living
at up in the hills, so there's not a lot.
It's about the same. It's an other than the humidity.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yeah, oh, I'm sure. Well, we're glad you're there and
you're settled in. How sweet of you to pick up
the phone and check in with us all the way
from Alabama.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
That's awesome, great to hear from you.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
All right, you guys, have a good one.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
You too, Jay, And if you've got a brighter side
for us eight seven seven nine eight one O nine
eight one, you can actually send us one any time
if you use our iHeartRadio app with that talkback mic
which a lot of people are using.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
That's a really easy way to send us your brighter side.
Super easy to do, and be sure to join us
in just a few minutes. Seven twenty five.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
It's ask Us Anything, your chance to call into the
show or send a talk back with a question that
might be on your mind.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, so be thinking about that reach out when you
can ask us anything. Coming up next on the Breeze.
That song either reminds me of sitting on a porch
as the sun is setting and just being with that
special person in your life or being in a karaoke
bar at two am. Those are two wildly different things.
Someone gets up and things they're gonna nail that song. Yeah,
(07:51):
it's one of the two. It's loggins in the Scena
Morning Breeze Carolyn and Cord seven twenty seven, And it
is time for ask us Anything. We do it every
weekday morning. This time a chance for you to reach
out to us and ask us literally anything that's on
your mind about the show, about life, our opinions on
something completely random, like nothing is off limits at all.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, and you can send us those questions a couple
of different ways. You can call us at eight seven
seven nine eight one, nine eight one, or you can
send us your questions via our free iHeartRadio app using
the talkback feature.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
We actually have a talkback for today's Ask Us Anything.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Hey, good morning. This is Jennica from Dublin. I had
a question for you guys for your Ask Me anything.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Is there?
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Do you have a TV show or a movie that
you could watch over and over and over again and
never get tired of.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (08:43):
I have a couple, so I'm curious if you do too.
Love listening to you guys, Thanks so much. Have a
great day.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
I wish we could have heard what hers was.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I wish you would have told us this is a
great question. And I've actually got a few as well
that I okay, my go tos okay. The easy one
is Seinfeld. Yes, Seinfeld is like Comfort TV. In fact,
there's sometimes where like if I can't sleep, I'll just
put Seinfeld on in the background.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I'm gonna say that's one of mine too. I love
that show.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Another one is mash Oh Comfort TV. But lately my
go to has been ted Lasso, which is a more
recent series.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I've seen that, but I heard it's really good.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
I have watched it five, six seven times through there's
three seasons.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
There's like thirty some odd episodes last.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
So is it funny, Yes, it's funny, it's endearing, it's
it's it's just great. You will end every episode just
feeling positive about life.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Oh that's great, it's pretty great. That's good. Yeah, what
about you? I have one and one only.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
I go to the Golden Girls. How can I not one?
Are the greatest shows of all time? I know every episode,
probably know most of the lines in every episode. I
I love that show. It is absolute comfort TV for me.
My mom and I used to sit around watch that show.
So anytime it's on, even if I'm visiting my mom
and it's on, like on a Saturday on TV Land,
I'm like, Mom, Golden Girls are on all day.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
I'm leaving this on.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Didn't they just celebrate forty years debut forty years ago?
They Reeva McIntyre performed the theme song means yeah over
the weekend.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah, that's great. That's just a great show. It's a
great show. It is asked us anything.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
We do it every weekday morning at this time again,
we welcome your questions eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one, and we want to make you
aware of something that's going on later today from four
to six at Oliver's Market on Old Redwood Highway in Windsor.
The Breeze is going to be out there tonight. It's
all part of Hunger Action Week. Yeah, we are supporting
Bay Area food banks collecting nonperishable food items and monetary donations.
(10:48):
In fact, the money is the easiest way for you
to donate because they take the money in they can
do so much with it. So if you can't make
it to Windsor tonight, you can certainly donate online. We've
made that very easy for you to do. You can
get all the information make those donations. Just go to
our website ninety eight one The Breeze dot com.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
It's air Supply with a song you will hear only
here on ninety eight point one The Breeze The Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Court at.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Eight o seven.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
So I said a minute ago, Court that I did
something yesterday that involved you that I realized when I
was doing it was super, super weird, to the point
where it made me kind of uncomfortable. Right, And it's
funny because you have no idea what this is. I'm
going to admit this to you for the first time. Okay,
On the air in front of everybody. So yesterday Court
(11:37):
brought a bag of like coffee to me at work
in a like a Safeway bag, And I took the
bag home and was unloading it, and then I noticed
there was a receipt in the bag. Oh for like,
you must have been shopping at Safeway and your receipt
was in there.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Now, probably, I'm.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Going to say, a normal person would have just been like, oh,
there's a receipt, throw it away.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Not this girl. Did you let me get my glasses?
You have? So I wait, first, I got my receipt
the yes.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
So first I'm gonna say that I realized as I
was reading courts receipt, I felt like I was like
peeking into your personal life. It made me realize how
personal grocery store receipts can be. I mean, there's nothing
embarrassing here.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Right, So but you're gonna share.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
My absolutely two Red Bulls, sugar free, frozen vegetables, frozen
roasting Brussels sprouts, a bag of apples, and some parsley.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I was impressed, but I still felt weird.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
I mean, because you do realize in that moment, like
what if it hadn't been all these right, And then
it was in the what if it was like other stuff?
And then I had your receipt and I was like,
that's weird. Court never told me that he likes camel
lights like will be and I would not ask you
would be weird.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
So nothing nothing shocking on there other than a big
bunch of parsley. Yeah, I mean Darren. Yeah. And I
was kind of like, well, he must have done chicken
recipe or something. I was doing a chicken recipe.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I was marinating some chicken and I had this merit
this like I think it was mccormicks.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
It was this nice Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
But I said to myself, you know what will plus
this up. That'll make it just a little better. See
is some fresh parsley. And you know what not wrong?
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Well, also, you know what's happening right now, puzzle pieces
are being filled. Like I'm starting to understand this whole
story and what went into this shopping.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
And then I said to myself, you know what else
would go well with this chicken. There's some nice roasted vegetables.
So I wandered over to the frozen food section and
grabbed some some vegetables for roasting.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
And then you said, you know what I deserve from
all this, two sugar free roads.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Well, that's actually the real reason why I went a Safeway.
I went in for the red bulls and I came
out with the parsley. But think about how trippy that is.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Like if you if I gave if the reverse happened,
and I gave you a grocery bag and I left
a receipt, would you read the receipt and be like,
would Carolyn?
Speaker 2 (14:06):
But I'm not. In a minute, I would away no
way you read everything. No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't have
even thought about it.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Are you trying to make yourself feel better about about
invading my privacy?
Speaker 2 (14:20):
All right? Well, I don't apologize. I stand by my
What I did.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
What I needed to start doing now though, is just
looking for random receipts anywhere I go and implanting them,
stockpiling them and implanting them. Because then, man, that's going
to blow your mind.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
All right, We're at eight seven seven nine nine eight
one always here with our iHeartRadio app talk back microphone.
You could send us a message that way as well,
and coming up a little bit later in the hour
today and every weekday, Frankly, at eight fifty, we're going
to be commercial free.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yeah, ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing favorites,
and we'll be doing that at eight fifty here on
the Morning Breeze
