Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze Go Morning Breeze on demand.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It is six nineteen.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
That's Loggins and Messina Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.
And I should say thank you John who listens to
us on the East Coast. That's right with our iHeartRadio.
I appreciate you listening and good almost no, it's still morning.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Good morning to you John.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
All right, it's time for the Morning Breeze brain Tease
sponsored by My Council Plumbing. You're in clean hands with
My Council Plumbing and you can see them online at
mc plumbing dot com.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
All right, today's question. Thanks to social media, more younger
people and teens have taken up this hobby.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
All right, we're at eight seven seven nine eight one
oh nine eight one. Do you have the answer to
today's brain tease? Susan in Santa Rosa, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
What's your guess?
Speaker 4 (00:47):
A specific game?
Speaker 5 (00:48):
Maybe? I know that they all seem to wait for
a specific game to come out.
Speaker 6 (00:52):
It wait takes months. Well, it's gonna be released today.
I gotta go get my copy of it.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I'm gonna start playing it like.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
A video game comes.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
A video game is a least and they're like I
gotta go get that game right now that my lobby.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Officer does that. He actually called off for one.
Speaker 6 (01:09):
Of them so he could spend like a weekend in
an extra day playing this crazy video game.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Really, I just love that an employee was so honest
with their employers. They're like, you know what, I'm calling
out sick. I'm able to play video games all day.
Nothing you can do about it. See you in a
couple of days.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, that is a fun answer, but it's not the
correct I figured not.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
All right, have a good day. Thank you for playing, Susan.
All right, Pam listening on our iHeartRadio app in Missouri.
What do you think the answer is?
Speaker 5 (01:42):
I would just say an outdoor activity, something to reach
across the generations, like something something with an older person.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Look, it's something that's the opposite of social media. Likes
Court's question. Thanks to social media, a lot of kids
have taken up this hobby. It's almost like you hear
about kids that are starting to walk away from social media,
so I could see how more of them would be outside.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
They have a term for it these days. They call
it they're going out and touching grass. Ooh, I like it,
putting down their phones heading out door. I think more
kids and adults should touch grass. Oh yeah, I like
the thought on that not the correct answer. Today, here's
the answer. Thanks to social media. More young people are crocheting.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Really, Shane, my twenty.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Year old daughter one of grandma. That would be an
activity with an older person morning, some family history, and
I think they're going to finally realizing if they don't
connect that trade or that hobby will be gone to trip.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Absolutely, I think you're right.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Great, have a good one too, Thank you, have a good.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
D It's the morning Breeze sprain Teas and we certainly
invite you to join us and play along every weekday morning.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
We do it at six twenty and.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Coming up this morning at eight oh five, it's another
chance to do win those tickets to see Ed Sheeran,
who's coming to Levi Stadium next summer.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah, Jim in San Francisco won yesterday and he was
so excited that he was the first one to win
those tickets. We have plenty of tickets this week eight
o five, ten oh five, and four oh five every day.
So as court mentioned, your next chance at eight oh
five here on the breeze and Louise.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Thank you, thank you. It's Maria Carey here on ninety
eight point one. The Breeze six p forty is the time.
You've got the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court and
we do all sorts of different things here on the
Morning Breeze. We do the Morning Breeze brain seas, which
makes you go those are things, I like to say, Carolyn,
that make you go hmmm.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, you really have to think about those.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
But sometimes we do things that make you go what yeah,
and we call those the more you know.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
I had said earlier Court that there is a hobby
that they are saying this is the most attractive hobby
that a man could have, according to women specifically, Yeah,
saying this is the most attractive hobby you do. Now,
I'm gonna let you guess. I've got the top three here,
as voted on by women. What do you think one
of the top three would be?
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I think it would has to be cooking. It has
to be like I think that's the top putting. Yeah,
that would be number one. You put on a cool apron,
you go in there and roast a chicken. So what
you think, yeah, mass and potatoes.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Maybe you at the grill. But yeah, roasting a chicken
is also great. Put all under the umbrella of cook cooking. Okay,
not on the list of the top three, the top three. Okay,
is it work.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
On a car like?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
No?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Like do mechanical things?
Speaker 3 (04:42):
No, it's nothing. None of these things say to me
that they are manly. Let's go top three. Number three
photography or writing?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Really okay? Hmm, so walk around with a big camera
on your you know, with the next.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
The nikon strap on it. Sure you should do that, okay, Okay.
Number two, Oh that's true. I mean Randy might find
it hot. Number two speaking a foreign language attractive? Okay,
and we all know you're the win in French.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
That's right, I am. Can you say one sentence in French? Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
All right.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
The top thing that makes men most attractive to women
is reading reading a book. Guys that read women say
that is hot?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Does does your list here say, just like, because I
said reading a book, I assumed it's reading a book,
because you can also read magazines.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
I think it's just under reading. If we look over,
you're on the couch reading something.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, but but let's be honest. If you look over
and you see a fella reading like popular Mechanics, or
they're reading Shakespeare, which one is highlights highlights for children.
That makes a big difference.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So the that's a good point. The material they're reading
is pretty big. They didn't specify court. I appreciate the questions,
but they just said reading in general.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
So we're just going with that.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
So now you know, the most attractive hobby that a
man could have, according to women, is read.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
So just walk around with a book, Yallas, that's what
you gotta say, look important.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Just carry that book. Yeah, you don't even have to
read it.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
And if you're pretending, if you're pretending, you should open
it to the middle, not the beginning, because then it
looks like you're halfway through.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
That's a pro tip right there.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
It's the more you know, we do it every weekday
morning at this time at six forty and coming up
this morning at eight oh five, we have more chances
for you to win those tickets to go see Ed Sharon.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
That's right. In fact, it's the first of three chances
to win today, so eight oh five, ten oh five
and four or five. In fact, I would highly recommend
maybe on your phone you set an alarm for all
three of those hours. Such a good Idea'll five ten
oh five, four or five your chance to see Ed
Sheeron at Levi Stadium July twenty fifth, here on the Morning.
Speaker 2 (06:51):

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Somebody had to ask.
Speaker 1 (07:16):

button while you're streaming the Breeze and your birthday messages
will show up here in the studio.
Speaker 3 (07:23):

Stanford Valley Care in Pleasanton.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Thirty two years, over two years of overnight yes.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
How are your weekends? I know, upside down they're hard.
Speaker 6 (08:19):
Sometimes they're good because I'm so tired of sleep a lot.
Then other times it's hard because I have to adjust
back to quote normalcy.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
You know, thirty two years now?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Do you like your shift?
Speaker 6 (08:30):
I do, and I love the people I work with,
and I've had another ten years before I retire. But
you know, I had the best of both worlds. I've
got to be a full time mom and work my
job full time, and I got to put my kids
to bed, I got to do homework. I've got a
sport events, you know what I mean, I just lose
sleep so I could be there for them, right.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
So such a trip.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Those sporting events in the evenings are your mornings.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Yeah, yeah, but good for you.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I love your attitude about that. And you're going to
get to retire.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Good dedication there y yeah, boom Sunday.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
I'm getting there. But it's good.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Karen, good night, Good night, Karen, good night, good day.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Whatever, it's all the same. Both have a wonderful day.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Yeah, thanks for listening, Thank you for calling.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
You're welcome, by bye bye.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
I knew somebody that did Overnight's Court for twenty something years.
She raised four kids as a single mom. I don't
know how to this day she did it.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
I mean that's an even additional challenge to life.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Yeah, when you throw kids into the mix like that
and you're a single parent, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
It's the brighter side.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
We do it every weekday morning here at seven ten,
and you can reach us with your Brighter's side at
eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
Speaker 1 (09:43):

these tickets before you can buy them.
Speaker 3 (09:53):

Santa Clara, and tickets do go on sale on Friday,
but as Court mentioned, you can win them here before
through even on sale. So your next chance to win

Speaker 1 (10:06):

eight point one the Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with
Carolyn and Court. So college professors have office hours where
you can go in and ask your professor anything you want.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:17):

get a good grade. Really, go to office hours. Oh,
professors are flattered by it.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah, get to know you a little bit.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yeah. So again, college professors have office hours. We here
at the Morning Breeze have ask us anything. Your chance
to call in and ask us anything, and we will

All right, yes, ask us anything. We do it every weekday.
Morning at this time, we got a note from David
in San Jose. He said, this morning the Chronicle had
a list of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area.
All that list, Yeah, they had some good sandwich You
were over there salivating over the pictures best sandwiches in
(11:06):
the Bay Area. Yeah, so, David said. One of his
favorite sandwich places in the Bay areas on that list
on the Chronicle this morning Lucinda's Delhi on Scott Street
in San Francisco. He said, he was wondering what our
favorite place is to get a sandwich in the Bay Area.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Well, I saw it was about a year ago. I
set out to find the best sandwich in the Bay
Area because I had, you know, recently discovered the Dutch crunch. Yes,
you're Dutch crunch obsession. Dutch Crunch was not a thing
in any place that I've lived.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, I thought that was everywhere.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
That's so interesting, And I was happy to find that
the place the best sandwich I have found so far
is actually on that chronicle list as well. It's in
Mission Terrace. It's called Ocean Subs and it is awesome.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Really, yes, what makes it so good?
Speaker 1 (11:49):
It just they loaded up and it's not terribly expensive.
You can get it, like it's not a foot long,
but it's close to it, okay, for like thirteen bucks.
Oh that's right, and that's good. I think that's a
really good price for you know, for like a mom
and pop shot. That's pretty great.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Way you get a sandwich for like it ends up
being fifteen dollars sure long or something.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
So I put in the potato chips and the soda.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Oh, then you're like foot long one hundred and nine dollars.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yeah, but it's you know, and that's a that's an
okay saying which but it's not the ocean subs. That's
so good.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Ocean subs just sounds good.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
That's in Mission Terrace. I think it's Yeah, that's a
mission terrace area.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
I mean, mine's obvious. I've talked about it a million times.
Sit down, every ready, here we go again, mister pickles.
Mister their hot tea on a gluten free wrap is
so good. Okay, So I've been trying to cut back
on my mister pickle.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yea, So it's what are we talking here? Like how
many times per week, okay.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
So I try and go once a month, okay, And
I have to check my email to see when the
last time that I got the receipt from mister Pickle.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah, so I checked.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
And you try to go once a month, and it's actually.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Well, okay, So I saw the last time I have
been was in August. The other day it was in August.
Speaker 2 (13:06):

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Got to hop on it.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
I went to mister Pickles.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
That was on Friday. Then on Sunday, I did a workout,
I had some downtime. I was like, why do I
want a mister Pickles, don't go. I went to mister Pickles.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
I can't tell you.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Twice in a weekend.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I had no idea that that fateful day not too
long ago where you and I were in Conquered and
we said, let's grab some what's this place some food?
What's this mister Pickles place? It's changed your life forever.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
What this mister Pickles place is is an incredible city.
So anyway, that's mine. So David, great one, that's great.

find a sandwich in the Bay Area check out that
list on the Chronicle. Call us with your favorite place

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Morning the breeze. Who is this? My name is Michelle, Michelle,
what's going on this morning?
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Hoping?
Speaker 4 (15:00):
I'm living from ed Cheering tickets? But I'm just at
work right now, driving around. I work for the school district.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Oh do you drive a school bus?
Speaker 4 (15:08):
No, I'm a campus security so I drive a white
security car around.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Job, You're the one to keep the kids in line,
or at least try to, all right, Michelle.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
In line as much as I can.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Well, gosh, I.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Can't imagine somebody more deserving of ED Shearing tickets than you.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
No way, are you twenty line?
Speaker 4 (15:29):
So exciting? Oh my god? Yeah, Oh my god, my
daughter is going to be so happy.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
I can't wait to call.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
By the way, what school are you at?
Speaker 4 (15:45):
I work for San Lorenzo Unified School District.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
All right, well, we've got two tickets for you to
go see ed Cheering Levi Stadium, July twenty fifth, courtesy
of Messina Touring Group. So much You're welcome. Tickets going

will have tickets at four oh five as well on
the breeze.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Oh my god, thank you guys. I appreciate this.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Oh, I'm so happy to be able to do this
for her.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
She's so excited.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Well she deserves it. She's working at a school and
putting in the hard work.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
So good job. So, Carolyn, I did have a chance
to mention this to you yesterday. But over the weekend
it was my wife's thirtieth high school reunion.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yes, we have not talked about that.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Yeah. And these high school reunions they've become in not
just a one day affair, but like multi day affairs
where there's like an event on a Saturday night and
then there was some wine tasting on Sunday. Ooh, a
full deal. It's almost like a destination wedding almost, where
like there's just activities going on.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
But I made a couple of observations every weekend. First
of all, women, you guys put a lot of thought
and effort into going into these reunions. And I say
that because like all of the women just looked great.
They had some you know, great out lads.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
On tell you something, when it comes to high school reunions.
As a woman, we start prepping for this, I would
say more than a year in advance, because we want
to be the best looking girl there. Yea, we want
to prove to everybody we haven't aged, we still look fantastic.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
So a lot of work goes into this.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, and it's obvious every all the women looked great.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Good us fellas.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
On the other hand, I would say fifty to seventy
five percent of the men who showed up that went
that were part of this senior class.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Can I finish this?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Go ahead, we're bald?
Speaker 4 (17:35):
No?
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Oh okay, maybe that's just my may that may be true.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
No, they looked as if they just wore whatever they were,
you know, wearing when they were working out in the
yard earlier in the day. They just go There was
like zero fie efforts. So I'm going to put all
my favorite ball cap and this little pull over and
I'm off.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Go to my reunion. Oh that is so funny. Yeah, okay,
So there was.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
A big difference between the women and the men. Okay,
But what was also interesting is just how the progression
over the night, especially on the Saturday night where there
were it was like a dinner. There's a casual dinner
and there's drinks that you know, people kind of form
their little clicks again. You kind of get into that book.
You gravitate to the people you know. But by the
end of the night, and I don't know if this
(18:17):
just had to do with just getting more familiar and
comfortable around everybody, or you know, the the open bar. No,
it's the drinks. I already know what's happened. That there
was a DJ playing the entire time. But then suddenly
the dancing starts. Yeah, and so at a certain point
they're wrapping up the night and Boys to Men comes
on and it's a slow jam. So there's some slow
dancing going on. And then that slow dance morphed somehow
(18:39):
into this big, huge like circle hug where everybody's and
I don't know any of these people, but I had
been dancing with my wife Randy, and suddenly we got
like separated. We're like across the circle from each other,
and I've got two ladies to be on each side.
I have never met them in my life.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
That is so and it was, oh good, I'm glad
you had fun.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Was it was good? I was I was my wife's
trophy husan.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I was going to say, you played a very important role,
and that's got to be. I've never gone to someone's
reunion that wasn't mine, and I think about the role
that you play when you are the plus one.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
You have no connection to these people, really.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
The trophy wife or the trophy husband. You're just there
with your person all night, and it's got to be.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
It was fun.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Oh well, I'm so glad you had fun. I could
so see that progression that happens at like every wedding.
Oh yeah, every reunion where you start out on separate
ends of the.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Everybody's emotional and there's crying happening, and in the night,
everybody's drunk and hugging big yodfest.
