Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, Morning Breeze on demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Stevie Wonder at six p nineteen here on ninety eight
point one The Breeze. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court and time now for the Morning Breeze Brain teas.
I dare say this might be the highlight of your morning.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I dare agree with you on that, or at.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Least the chance to uh think about something trivial, something
that doesn't really matter.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I like it. It gives you something to think about in
the morning that like does you some good.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Might also make you smart. It's sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing.
You're in clean hands with Mike Council Plumbing. Visit them
at mc plumbing dot com. Today's question The average person
will do this for about thirty minutes today.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Okay, we're at eight seven seven nine, eight one nine
eight one. Good morning, Rayley in Nevado. You've got a
guess for us? What is it?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I would say daydreams.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Daydreams totally sit and stare out the window.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I mean sometimes I'm sitting at work at my computer
and it's like, wait, where did I go?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yoused over Court? How many it's a day would you
say you daydream Just ask.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Me, wait, hold on, why don't you tell me, Carolyn,
because I feel like you have an answer for me.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
How much? How often you catch me daydreaming? I would say,
looking at this, it's more than thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Wow, they say, they say daydreaming is good for the mind.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Then you are healthy as can be fit as a fiddle.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
So, Raley, I think you're onto something here, but that
is not the correct answer.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
All right, Ralely, have a good day, Love you guys.
You bye, okay, Pat and El Serrito, good morning. What's
your guess?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
I think I pee at least thirty minutes every day,
all right.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
So so to put it number one?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yeah, yeah, okay, okay, okay, that works better.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
It's no more radio friendly.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I mean it is the breeze. I'm going to say
that you did not write a question where that's the answer,
cour it. No, I did not. Okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
It's always good to hear you guys in the morning.
You have a great day, and I'm still listening.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
All you pack. We appreciate and we hope you listen forever.
Call any time, okay, bye, bye, bye, Joan and San Ramon.
Good morning. What's your guess.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
How about have lunch, had.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Lunch thirty minutes for lunch today. I'm going to say, technically,
you are probably correct. I am, You're not wrong, You're
just not correct. The answer is actually chewing.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Oh oh my god.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, And I was thinking about it yesterday, yesterday being
your birthday and all. Yeah, how we went out and
had lunch together.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Thank you by the way for treating me to a
birthday lunch.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Well that's why I was bringing it up, totally getting
totally kidding. But just that meal alone, there's a lot
of chewing because we ate a lot of good food.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
And depends on what you're eating, some food requires more
chewing than others. I mean, if you get a soup,
not a lot of chewing. No, you skip that upgrade
to a chewing up to du maybe a little more. Yeah,
but if you think about it, you break you break
down your meals. Three meals a day, some of us
do five, and there's a lot of chewing involved.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
So it makes sense. Yeah, good one.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I once knew a fellow that said that he would
try to chew every bite of food like eighty times
really and at a certain point, like there's no food left.
It's just dissolved.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Also, that seems nuts. He was a little crazy, okay,
I thought, so okay, all right, the Morning Breeze brain Teas.
We invite you to play along every weekday morning at
this time. We do it at six twenty. You can
reach us anytime eight seven, seven, nine, eight, one oh
nine eight one. Coming up at eight o five. We've
got more of those Ed Sharon tickets for you.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, it's your first chance of three to win tickets
to see Ed Sharon Levi Stadium July twenty fifth. You
can win tickets at eight o five, ten oh five,
and four or five. But we of course would love
for you to join us at eight oh five here
on the Morning Breeze at ease, it's.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
You two six thirty nine The Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court. Good morning, thank you for being here. It's
time for the more, you know, a little dose of
information to get your day started off the right way.
I will never get tired of hearing that sound. No,
it did takes me back to a special place in time.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
That's right, Carolyn. Let me take you back to this.
When was the last time you went on a thirty
minute jog.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I did that a couple of months ago, and I
was sore, okay for four days. It's just my body
cannot take it anymore. Joints hurt, it hurts my back,
my hip hurts, all those things. I just can't do
it anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Well, researchers have found that there's something else you can
do for just ten minutes that where you will get
the equivalent health benefit of a thirty minute job.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
What is this going to be? Is it a hit
workout like a hip workout?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
No?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Hit?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Hi? A high intensity?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Training?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't know. Would you describe jumping jacks as serious
as well? It's not jumping Jackson's necessarily, But I'm just
I'm leading you towards what it actually is.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Would you describe jumping jacks as high intensity?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
I would?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, it's not jumping.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Jacks, Okay, okay, what is it?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
It's jumping rope?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Oh, totally. I believe that to be ten minutes. That's it.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, ten minutes of jumping rope has the same health
benefits of a thirty minute jog.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Here's the problem with that, Okay? Who can jump rope
for ten minutes without stopping?

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Really? Sure, I'm bringing in a jump rope tomorrow. I'm
not kidding. We're going to have a jump rope jump off.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Is it one of the cool jump ropes that in
grade school?

Speaker 1 (05:37):
It's well, actually it's pretty old. It might be, I hope.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
So, because those are the best jump ropes leather, they're
perfectly weighted. You've got to have weight on that jump
rope in order for it to twirl properly.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Okay, well, I do believe that what you're saying is
true for sure, because they're saying these hit workouts, these
high intensity workouts are more effective than a jog or
a walk, and you do it in a short amount
of time.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, both exercise help strengthen the heart, lower risk of
chronic disease. Obviously, the number of calories burn depends on
factors like body weight and work out intensity. How hard
you're jumping rope. Maybe you're doing a little spinny things
where you're flipping them back and forth and double jumps.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, but I don't think any and I don't think
you or I are doing that.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
But I like your shaking. I'm just gonna go old
school jump rope, and then maybe if we get a
couple of jump ropes. We could do some double dutch.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
No, that's tough. Trust me, we're not gonna be able
to jump rope ten minutes. But I'm totally bringing one into.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
They actually found that people because you know, you you
pointed out you go thirty minute round, you've got a
lot of joint pain afterwards. And people said, even though
you were there's you know, you're jumping around for ten minutes,
the joint pain is not as much from what they
found in this study. So there you go.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
No, that's that's great.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
You don't have thirty minutes to run do ten minutes
of jump rope.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I like your thinking, that's good stuff. The Morning Breeze.
The more you know on the morning Breeze, we do
it every weekday morning here at six forty. You can

Speaker 1 (08:30):
All right, good for you. How does it feel to
be retiring?

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Scary?

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah, you know, some anxiety, Yeah, bitner tweaks.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I've been here so long and know so many people,
but you know, it's time.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
What part of the job do you think you're going
to miss the most?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
The people I worked with a really good team. We're
really close and we work well together, So I'm going
to miss sim What.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Will be the first thing that you do after retiring?

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Sleep in?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Good answer, We can relate to that.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah, I was going to say, like the two of you,
I get here very early in the morning and the
first thing I do is turn on my radio to
you too, And uh, yeah, I'm looking forward to some
mornings of sleeping in, going out to breakfast a few
times with my husband. You know, he's already retired, so
he's been enjoying it more than me.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
And oh, he's so excited for you to retire. I'm sure. Yeah, congratulation,
we're excited for.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
You, Thank you so very much. I just had to
add that before I left.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
And hopefully, even though you're sleeping in on in retirement,
you're still tuning into the Morning Breeze as soon as
you're away.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
I was hoping you would go there, Court Johnson absolutely brightly.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah, my car is automatically dialed into you guys.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Anymore. Well, enjoy and thank you for calling us and
letting us be a part of your special moment. That's fantastic.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Thank you very much. I really enjoy your show.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Well, thank you again. And if you've got a brighter
side for us eight seven, seven nine, eight one oh
nine eight one.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
And coming up this morning at eight oh five, it's
another chance to win those tickets. Of course, I'm talking
about Ed sheer and at Levice Stadium July twenty fifth.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I know this is such a hot ticket this week.
We've got three chances every day for you to win
eight oh five, ten oh five and four oh five.
So yes, just under an hour from now your chance
to win on the breeze. That is Lord and It's
Royals at seven twenty six Morning Breeze, Carolyn and Court
and every weekday morning right around this time, it is
ask us anything, And this is a chance for you

(10:45):
to come to us and ask us our opinion on something,
or just ask us a question. I guess about our lives.
Whatever strikes your fancy, as they say, whatever's on your mind,
feel free to ask.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah. Sometimes people have asked for clarifications on things that
they've heard us talk about and they want Yeah, they
want some clarification, they'd like to know more.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
It's literally one of those things where any question goes
were at eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one. You can always send us a talk back
with our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah, and actually today we got our question from our
talkback feature.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Hey, it's Chelsea. I have a question for ask us anything.
Tell us something random that you really like to learn about.
Maybe you have a fascination with it.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Oh, that's a great question. Something random that we have
a fascination with. I know mine, what's yours? I get
obsessed with like geology and maps. You do well. I
love it whenever I am in a new area, whether
I'm visiting or I've moved there, Like when we moved
here to the San Francisco Bay. Yeah, I was just
like I explored, I can figure this out. I just

(11:50):
but like looking at why why San Francisco has shaped
the way it is, and why Oakland looks like it does,
and what's up with Marianos and all that stuff, like
why it look that way from a geological point of view.
It's super super nerdy.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yeah, but that's exactly her question.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
But then I delve into the plate tectonics and floods
and all that stuff, and that just fascinates me.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Wow, well that really makes me feel good about my answer,
which a little bit different. Mine is super nerdy. And
I never tell anybody this, but you see this all
the time. Mine is dog grooming. Oh you ever see
how I'm always like trimming Perk's ears for her feet?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
You do really well.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
And this is because I grew up in a household
where my mom used to show dogs and she used
to train dogs, so I grew up watching this. It's
like all I know. So for me to have I
have a golden Retriever. We have a Golden Retriever named Perk.
So for me to have Perk out in the world
with feet that have too much hair on them, right,

(12:49):
ears that have not been trimmed properly as a show
dog would be trimmed.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
So are you always watching like videos and learning how
to do like trimming techniques?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Absolutely? But I learned so oh much from my mom
watching her, and then kind of as she got older
and you know, she started to have memory issues, I
ended up taking over and she would kind of watch
me and coach me along. So now I do it
obviously on my own, and so I think dog I
just watched a YouTube video the other day on how

(13:18):
to trim a perfect Golden Retriever ear the air on
the ear nice well, and it was so good.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
If anybody needs help with that in their life, you
could just give Carolyn a ring. It's a work in progress.
I wouldn't say you ever give yet. Do you ever
give anybody random advice? If you see their dog on
the street and no thanks, you should probably trim.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
No, but I think it seed like I see dog
toes that need to be trimmed.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Those dogs bangs.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
No, I don't think that bangs. All right, it's ask
us anything. We do it every weekday morning at seven
twenty five. If you've got a question for us, something
you'd like to ask us eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one don't use that talk back
like Chelsea did.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
And we can't talk about this enough. Your chance to
win tickets to see Ed sheer in that show was
announced last week. The tickets don't even go on sale
until Friday. I know we've got your chance, three chances
to win today. I'll win those tickets before you can
buy them.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Yeah. So this is Ed Sharon next July at Levi Stadium.
So be here eight oh five. We got another chance
for you to win on the breeze. It's the morning Breeze.
Carolyn and Court, we are so excited for you. You
just won Ed Sheeron tickets.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Oh right on. Thank you so much, Carolyn.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
You are very welcome. Who are you hey?

Speaker 3 (14:30):
This is Bill from San Leandro.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
This is so cool. Bill, What a venue, what a performer.
It's gonna be great.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Yes, nice, Well, Bill, You've got two tickets to see
Ed Sheeron at Levi Stadium July twenty fifth. It's courtesy
of Messina Touring Group. Tickets go on sale by the way,
this Friday ten am at ticket Master, which means Bill,
you've won them before you can buy them.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Awesome, Court, thank you so much, Matt, and.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
We'll do this again, ten oh five and four oh five,
your next chance to win.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
This has been so fun all week. Yeah, things that
are not as fun. Last night, the Giants, as you
may have heard on the news this morning, were officially
eliminated now from going postseason. So sad. A nine to
eight loss last night against the Saint Louis Cardinals, which
we were up eight to three.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
We were up. When I went to bed last.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Night, I know, and I saw fans leaving because they're
probably thinking, oh, we're gonna win this one. It's great,
We're gonna go home early, beat traffic, and then we
were eliminated. But this, you know, a Sunday is the
final game of the season now officially for your San
Francisco Giants, and also coming to an end my first
full season as their announcer relations for that Carret, thank

(15:43):
you crazy eighty one home games tonight will be games
seventy seven for me, which is so nuts.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
Sad, that sad that the season is coming to an end.
But I think, like you see, these players who have played,
they've played all eight hundred and was it again, one hundred.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
And sixty, one hundred and sixty two, So much baseball,
so much baseball. Well, it's like, yeah, the people that
work behind the scenes, me and certainly other coworkers that
the Giants, they're tired. You look at these guys on
the field and coach and the coaching staff and everybody.
I mean it is just physically. I think about when

(16:19):
they travel, how hard that has to be on them.
Like you finish a game in San Francisco on a
Sunday afternoon, You're on a flight that night, flying maybe
across the United States, playing the next day, multiple games
in a row, and it takes a toll. I mean,
they get paid a lot of money, all these players,
for all these teams, but it definitely takes a toll.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Well, I have to say, though, there was that run
maybe kind of that run kind of came to an
end about two and a half weeks ago, two weeks
ago where we were kind of back into the running
for that wildcard position. Yeah, it was fun. That was
a good run. End of this It.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Was a fun vibe. Everybody's wearing Giants gear and yeah, no,
it's been it's been a great season. You know, congratulations
to the team and to everybody that works for the Giants.
But yeah, last night was it officially eliminated, so I
will start sleeping again Monday. All right, We're at eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. You

(17:15):
can always find us on social media at ninety eight
one of the Breeze. Send us a talkback with our
iHeartRadio app as well that talkback microphone.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Karen Carolyn looks forward to sleep. We look forward to
giving you ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free relaxing
favorites later this hour.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yes, we do this every weekday morning to start off
your day in the office or whatever you're doing today.
Ninety eight minutes commercial free. We'll start that at eight
fifty on the Breeze
