it's that time of the morning where we bring you
the Morning Breeze brain Teas sponsored by Mike Counsel Plumbing.
You're in Clean Hands with Mike Cancel Plumbing. Visit them
at mc plumbing dot com. Today's question researchers aren't sure why,

(00:25):
but women do this twice as often as men.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay, we're at eight seven seven nine eight one, nine
eight one. Robert and Conquer, good morning. What is your
guest this morning.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I don't want to sound mean, but I would say
I have more desserts, more.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Desserts, Robert, that's not mean. That is true.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Well, it depends on the on the relationship dynamic. I
think I probably okay, my wife wants the sweet treats more.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, no, he's absolutely that is absolutely true.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
When you said that I started imagining my wife at
the table.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
It didn't mean that you needed to give a specific example.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
But yes, Robert, I'm gonna give you points for participation,
but not the right answer. That's funny though.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Your problem all right, Robert, have a good day. Good morning,
Cookie and Walnut Creek. What's your gas?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Claret?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Man? Man the glare?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I ain't gonna say. Cookie is not wrong on that one.
I mean, it might not be the answer to the question,
but she's also not wrong. You know what I'm saying, Cookie,
You know what I'm saying. All right, what are the
reasons for these glare?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, you guys just do things that are yeah, yeah,
well okay, wow, not the answer points for creativity, I suppose,
but not the answer.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Points for truth.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, here's the correct answer. Researchers aren't sure why. But
women blink twice as men much as men.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Oh okay, we blink twice as much as men.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Pick the glare and I mean, you know, flick the
lay again.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Right right, court, And I feel like you guys know
the difference.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Right or do you between a blank and a glare?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yes? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah? What am I doing right now? Uh? You're kind
of doing both right?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Maybe you don't know the difference? All right, Cookie, Well,
thank you for calling and playing. We really appreciate it.
You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Love you guys.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Okay, thank you you too.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Bye, Cookie, Bye. That's a best name ever.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I feel like people named Cookie are automatically fun people.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
For sure. Yeah, can you but can you imagine if
they weren't fun?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Yeah, and they were named Cookie?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, that would be so weird.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I know it's impossible, it's impossible. It's the Morning Breeze
brain Tease, and we do it every weekday morning at
this time at six twenty and coming up this morning
at six forty, it's ask Us Anything.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's your chance to call into the show and ask
any question, anything that might be on your mind. Yeah,
we're at.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Eight seven, seven, nine, eight one oh nine eight one.
It could be about the show. You could have like
a I don't want to say, an argument, but you
could be having a discussion with a friend and you
need that third party. You need us to settle it,
to weigh in. We can do that for you on
any topic. Anything goes, Ask Us Anything. We're going to
play it next at six forty on the Breeze at

(03:16):
Birth Brees. It's Marvin Gaye at six thirty nine The
Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Cord, and it is time
for ask Us Anything. A chance for you to call
in and literally ask us anything that is on your
mind about the show. Could be, like we said earlier,
maybe you're having a discussion with a friend. You need
that third party to pop in and yeah, weigh in

(03:37):
on the situation.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
And we should remind everybody this is something we've done
on the show for a while now at a different time.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Yes, and we just moved it to six forty because if.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
You're listening now, you probably have questions too.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
We're at eight seven seven nine, eight one oh nine
eight wonder send us.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
A talk pack with our iHeartRadio app All right, Chuck
and pleasant Hill, We understand you've got a hard hitting
question this morning. Ask us anything.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Which end of the banana do you appeal the stam
or the other end?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
There's really only one way, right, Well, I've heard okay,
so we all do it with the stem. You use
that as it's kind of like popping the top of
a can.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yes, But people on social media say you're supposed to
peel from the other part of the banana. Is that
what you're getting at, Chuck?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, I peel from the other part of the banana
and use the stem as my handle.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Oh oh it is. It is a nice handle. But
technically speaking, the banana itself is your handle for most
of the process.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
This is the most I've ever thought about this.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
I have a banana every morning, and every morning I
just automatically peel from the other end. I go, how
long have I been doing this?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Let me ask you this, Chuck. Does it taste different
eating it from the other end?

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Absolutely not. But what it does do it gives me
a nice When I'm done, I hold the handle and
the banana is all one piece and all flaps down
in one It's easier to put in the trash.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Cann I respect. I also respect the fact, Chuck, that
you were eating a banana this morning and thought, you
know who I need to ask about this, And this
is exactly how ask us anything works, anything goes absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
I mean, I don't know how I'd get across the
bridge without you guys.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Oh that's sweet.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
We tackle the big questions here on the morning Breeze,
hard hitting.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yes, keep it up. We love this story.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Oh, thank you so much, Chuck, have a great day.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Thanks for calling in.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Yeah, you guys too, Thanks boy.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I can't tell you how much I love that question, Keny.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I know it's so simple, but it's such a conversation.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And we'll never look at bananas the same again.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
And I also love about Chuck's question. That's exactly what
ask us anything is about. Yeah, don't be stressed out
in your car thinking I've got to come up with
this great question. Not that that wasn't Chuck, but it
could be literally anything. We're at eight seven seven nine,
eight one oh nine eight one. Give us about an
hour from now, we are going to have another chance
for you to win those tickets to Sarah McLaughlin.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
So you had a popsicle business at one point, and
you sold popsicles like it concerts like Bottle Rock.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
I used.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
They were called Feriala Peer pops. And there were juices
that help my mom through her cancer treatment. Yeah. We
were in Whole Foods and we were growing, and there
were like autopods to just thrush juices that we squeezed
and for Yeah, and then the pandemic and we just
didn't you know. I had little kids and they're sacrificed
so much. But I helped a lot of people on

(07:08):
hospice and all my pope went to the Oakland Zoo
and I got a lot of news covered. So that
was fun wood.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
That is really cool. And what do you do now?
You I take it the business is no longer right.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
So now I'm mother to three teens and I do

Speaker 1 (07:46):
This is amazing. And with three teenagers you're probably just
busy with all their.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
Activities and going not Oh, I have two water polo
gabs after school and fear Field. I'm in Benetia, so yeah,

what a cool person. It's the brighter side. Every weekday morning,
we invite you to share your brighter side with us,
no matter what it is, could be about your own life,

paying it forward. We'll take any sort of brighter side

(08:30):
that you have.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
If it's a source of happiness in your life, that's
a brighter side. Yes, and ourminder coming up this morning
at seven forty. This is a brighter side, I think.
Chance to win free tickets to see Sarah McLaughlin.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
At the Masonic coming November twenty eighth. Just be here
at seven forty your chance to win those tickets on
the Breeze. It's Elton John seven twenty six the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Cord and it is time for

(09:01):
the More you Know, sponsored by the San Francisco Symphony.
You were mentioning a minute ago, pins, or, as you
so nicely explained to me, which I so appreciated, personal
identification number.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
I'm not trying to man explain anything, but I always
get a kick out of the fact that when we
say pin numbers, it's we're saying numbers twice because it's
personal identification number, right, So you don't have to tack
on that extra number.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Why don't you tell us what you were going to
tell us about pins?

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Well, this potentially could all go away because there's a
new technology that they're working on right now that is
going to eliminate pins and actually just use card gestures
to card gestures. Yeah, So do you remember did you
ever have like a secret handshake with a buddy or
a friend. No, you never had one of those.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
I did.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
My friend Steve. We still we and I see him
to this day. We'll do our secret handshake with cute
involved like a like the handshake and a fist bump
and then like we hit like elbows and then the
knees and then something like that. It's a brow thing,
the total browthing. It's kind of like a secret handshake
with your card. So you know when you tap your
card or your phone, you just go in and you

(10:09):
tap it. Yeah, they're apparently developing this technology where you're
gonna come up with a specific tap to you, a
specific action you do with your hand with your card.
I know this is weird.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
I just picture you going da da dat in your.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Card kind of what it is you're gonna come in
and like like a little twist that you figure out
and that you set up with your bank, Like it's
gonna be a little twist of your card. Wow, it's
unique to you. You'll have to do that every single time.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
What if somebody sees you at the ATM that's automatic
Teller machine court and they're in their car and they're
watching you and your arms are just flailing because you're
doing your signature move with your card.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Now apparently it is ninety percent accurate in terms of
people even watching you do it, are unable to replicate
you just because it's your mannerism. But you have to
do the same every single time.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, that's the stressor right there.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Twistaroo of your of your wrist when you bring in
that card and tap it.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
What if you wind up in a cast and you
can't move your arms the same way you've got up
to the shoulder cast your can't move.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
You're asking questions. I don't have the answer for another question.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Yeah, okay, what about the people in the bank that
sit on the other side looking through that camera at
all the motions. They're gonna spend their lunch hour watching
those cameras.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
They're going to be loving it. They are going to
be great.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
I may want to go work at a bank. I
think this is gonna be hilarious.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
I would come up with something. I would call it
the cyclone. It's actual swirl, it's you swirl it in,
but it's only three swirls and it ends with a boop.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Imagine taking the time to think about what your signature
move is going to be this is how it's so great.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
It's going to be called the court. Yep, it's going
to be two swirls and then a jab there we go.
Oh yeah, jabbing motion. Yeah, so again, goodbye, pins, Hello,
whatever the gestures or whatever they're gonna final question, yeah, okay.
Did anybody listening learn anything from this? I think they did.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
I think it's kind of.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Cool today when they're standing around the water cooler. Watch
out world.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I don't think this exists. It's the more you know,
and we do it every weekday morning at seven twenty
five here on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Some more you knows are better than others.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
That is ber tarn tout.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah. Hey, we're just minutes away. It's a seven thirty now,
ten minutes from right now. Your chance to win tickets
to see Sarah McLaughlin.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yes, she's coming to the Beautiful Masonic. She'll be there
November twenty eighth, the day after Thanksgiving. We're going to
have a couple of tickets for you if you are
the right caller. We'll do that in ten minutes, seven forty.
Your chance to win on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I Good morning the Breeze. Who is this good morning?

Speaker 3 (12:46):
This is Al from South San Francisco. Al.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
How's it going this morning?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Oh? Pretty good.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
We're doing all right. But you're going to be the
best one in the room because you just want tickets
to see Sarah McLaughlin.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Oh, thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, surprise.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
I know this is great, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Al? Yeah, it is it is. Thank you. How's everyone
over there? Well?

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Al, how kind of you?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
We are five?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Thank you for asking.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Yes, it's top of the morning, so I hope you
guys have a nice day.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Well, Al you what a gem you are.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
I've been a very long time listener, so I listen
to you every morning, so I know we appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Are so kind. Thank you. Al Well, we've got two
tickets to Sarah McLaughlin for you. It's the Masonic in
the City. Sure is November twenty eighth, courtesy of Live Nation.
Tickets on sale now a Ticketmaster. We'll do it again
tomorrow at seven forty. But Al, you can't win because
you're already fly right.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Oh okay, that's okay.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
So feel free to tell a friend. Okay, yeah, I will,
I will.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
It's music from Blondie at eight oh seven. Here on
ninety eight point one the Breeze. You've got the morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Cordon. You've just left us all
on the edge of our see no.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
So you know that my mom lives in a memory
care community at Carlton Senior Living in downtown pleasant Hill,
and she loves it there and we love the people
that work there. It has been so amazing for my mom.
My mom since moving into memory Karen, I don't know
what this is, but she has become a dancer. She didn't.

(14:20):
I have never seen my mom dance. My mom loves
some Neil Diamonds. Okay, who doesn't, right, fair, So when
they put Neil Diamond on, my mom goes nuts.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
And this is so again, this is new, this is
that's something you grew up with.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
So my mom will get up in front of everybody
in the living room and the memory care community and
she will start dancing to Neil Diamond. Now let me
show you, Court. I know people can't see it on
the room. I'm gonna show you. I call this dance
the Frankenstein because just to describe it, my mom, Okay,
I'm standing up, standing up, and my mom puts her
arms straight out.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Front like.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Limp wris. But then she bends over like this. Watch
I'm gonna show you like this.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Okay, So you just kind of bent forward a little
bit and there's a little bit of a.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Then she goes down to the ground a little.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Of okay, and some wiggle, some movements.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
That's what we're talking about. So there was an injury. Yeah,
I got a call from the memory care director. She said,
we were putting some ice on your mom's hip. Oh,
she were trying to figure it out. She apparently wiggled
too much because she's having so much fun much dancing.
She's dancing too much.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Court.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
I actually had to say the words to my mom
when I left yesterday. Mom, cool it on the dancing.
It's the cutest thing, right, She's loving it so much
that she is now dancing and shaking her hips and
doing her Frankenstein dance or whatever it is. And Darryl,
poor Darryl, the nurse had to come in and put

(15:52):
ice on my mom's hip.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
But this is a good problem.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
We're so happy for her.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
No, it's eight, but cool it a little bit, Mom.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Cool it on the dancing.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Mom, I don't need those calls kind of reminds me
of you know, years ago when the we the you know,
the we Nintendo Wheeze began to Yeah, how you're punching air,
punching air, and there's tennis and there's bowling. So we
got that as a family and we started playing the
tennis and suddenly I developed tennis elbow from playing the.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Wee video games.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
I know that's kind of attractive. Well, no, it's not.
When you go to the doctor to be like, yeah,
so what happened. Well, you know he's heard that before.
That's funny. A dance injury is much cooler. Hey, it
is cooler, And I will let my mom know that
you've said, so got hurt on the dance?

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Yeare all right? We're at eight seven seven nine eight one,
nine eight one. Later on this hour we are going
to be commercial free here on the Breeze.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, that means ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free,
relaxing favorites. So join us at eight fifty here on
