Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze. The Morning Breeze on Demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Six twenty is a time which means it's time for
the Morning Breeze. Brain Tease your chance to exercise your
brain just a little bit on a Thursday morning. It's
sponsored by Mike Council Plumbing. You're in clean hands with
Mike Council Plumbing. Visit that I'm an mc plumbing dot com. Okay,
today's question. While fifty seven percent of people say it's
okay to do this at the grocery store, thirty one

(00:26):
percent say you should.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Never do it. I've been thinking about this. Yeah, you
throughout what would says the shopping carts it's okay to
not put your cart back in the corral. That's a
high number of.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Fifty seven percent of people are saying that's okay. We're
a horrible society.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
I'm gonna guess one more before we go to the phones. Okay,
what about letting your kids run wild? How people let
their kids? Like some people think it's okay. They're like,
it's my kids, but that's what happens at a store.
Fifty seven percent of people think that's okay. Yeah, the
people with the kids, it feels like to you, it
feels like it's actually it's not shopping carts, so it's
not kids. Okay, all right, we're at eight seven seven

(01:05):
nine eight one oh nine eight one. Barbara and Sam Pablo,
good morning. You've got to guess what is it? Taste
the fruit? Taste the fruit? Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yes, So you're talking like you're strolling by the grapes
and you're like, those grapes look good.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
That's right when I went to the grapes because it's
easy and convenient, I think, Barbara, the question would be,
are you someone that does taste the fruit or are
you someone that does not? I do not.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Ye, I'd be surprised to see if fifty seven percent
of people say it's okay to taste the fruit?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Do you taste the fruit? Never? Oh no, no, I
would except it just I'm worried it's dirty, like there's
no one to wash it. Yeah, that's what's great. You
take it, you rub it on your shirt? No, no,
thank you, Barbara. How you clean an apple? It is,
but you're not. Nobody's tasting an apple at the grocery store, Barbara.
I think that's a really good guess, but not the

(01:56):
correct answer. However, I will say it is fruit related. Ooh,
what was it?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Fifty seven percent of people say it's okay to break
up a bunch of bananas. Well, thirty one percent say,
you know you should never.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Do that, well, unless you're going to get a couple
of them.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I'm in the thirty one percent here. I cannot go
to a grocery store and break up a bunch, even
if I just have to look for the bunch that's
close to what I need.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I don't do that either unless no one's looking. So
you have done it before. I have seen people do it. Yeah.
What I appreciate is a grocery store and grocery outlet
is very good about this grocery outlet has the bananas.
But then they've got a separate bin with singular banana,

(02:43):
single bananas, as if to say, please don't break up
the bananas. And I picked up what they're throwing down.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Or is that just a result of people going over
and there's a bunch of five and people are like,
I only need four.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Off goes this way the discard No, I hope not
nor lovely talking to you, thank you for calling, No,
thank you and stalk you later. Okay, we have the
best listeners. We sure do. Aw So it's the Morning
Breeze brain teas. We do it every weekday morning here
at six twenty on the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
And something else we do happens at eight point fifty
where we go commercial free, ninety eight minutes of NonStop,
commercial free, relaxing.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Favors yep, Like Court said, we're going to start that
at eight fifty right here on the Breeze, the Breeze.
That is a song you will hear only on the Breeze.
Joe Cocker, Jennifer Larrence. It is six forty two. It's
the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court. It is time
for one of my favorite parts of the show. The
more you know, where we share those little nuggets of

(03:44):
trivia information, tips, facts that make you go I didn't
know that.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, And today's tip may actually help you live longer, Okay,
talk to me. So one simple change could make you
make all the difference when it comes to longevity. And
that's when you eat breakfast.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Of like the time of day, that may at time
the morning that you eat breakfast.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
So we've always heard breakfast is the most important meal
of the day. So eating breakfast is good, okay, but
when you eat breakfast is even more important. According to
a new study that came out of the UK, they
basically found that people who eat earlier in the day
live about ten almost ten years longer.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
According to well, that's a big number. The biggest thing.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Here, though, is they don't know why they don't. They
haven't figured out what the correlation between all of this is.
But people who generally ate later in the morning had
a died earlier.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
The people that like the breakfast for lunch, and that
blows the whole intermittent fasting theory too, I know.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
They also found that fatigue people who suffer from fatigue, depression,
anxiety are linked to later breakfasts, so they help the
shoes typically ate later in the day.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
So okay, I eat around nine. Would you like me
to bring in my cauliflower and broccoli frittata earlier in
the morning to the studio? I try and wait because
I know it stinks.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
It doesn't stink, I mean warmed up broccoli when you're
not expecting it and sometimes throw you off just a bit.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
But I'm fine. I'm fine with it. Okay, maybe I'll
start early, Yeah, and maybe I should actually just start
eating Court. You don't eat at all? Court does all
Court eats for breakfast? Here is one chocolate covered gummy bearer,
a big one at nine. That's all he eats all morning.
I don't know how you're alive. I'm just I'm typically
not hungry. Well, you need to pay attention to your

(05:44):
own study. Well, not your study, but the study that
you've brought to us today for the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I had nothing to do with the study other than
the reporting of it. Well, if this study is true,
that's big news. Seriously, that's like a big deal to
live ten years longer if you eat breakfast extra early
in the morning.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
WHOA yeah, Okay. The study also found, by the way,
that if.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
You eat dinner early or eight frequently, you.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Had dental issues. I don't know what that has to
do anythink. I just throw that in there. Quit while
you were in It's the more you know. We do
it every weekday morning here at six forty on the breeze.
I feel like we should just put an asterisk on
this whole segment.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Here's what we should do, Okay, I should drive everybody
over to our Facebook page because we have asked the
question when do you eat breakfast in the morning.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
We're trying to get a gauge of when people eat.
We have a lot of early birds. Five point thirty
six seven six okay, yeah, so healthy listeners all over
the board. Yeah, longevity ahead for them, all right, and
feel free anytime, not only to reach us on the
phone eight seven seven nine eight one nine eight one,

Are you going to school this morning? Yeah? Nice? Where
do you go to school? David's in middle school? Davidson
middle School. What city is Davidson in, sarahfel What grade
do you win? Sam? Seven? What is your favorite thing
about Davidson middle School?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Activities?

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Activities? So what are we talking about here? Uh? Maker tech? Oh?
What what is that like for you? Where you make stuff? Okay? Oh,
that's fun, like crafts and stuff. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
So if you're in seventh grade and it's middle school,
is this your second year in middle school? Yes?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
God, so you're almost the king of the school. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Sam,
we appreciate you listening to our show. Are you driving
with your mom or dad this morning? Oh, it's my
friend's mom. No, friend's mom has the breeze on? How nice?
What's your friend's mom's name? Oh, Marry Lou. Shout out

(08:27):
to Merrylu. Thank you Mary Lou. We appreciate you listening well. Sam.
We hope you have a great day at school. Thank
you for having us on. Okay, thank you, Okay, bye.
I so love that Sam is calling into the Morning
show on a scale of one to ten. How much
do you think Sam enjoyed being pelted with questions.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Hey, it's not every day that we have a seventh
grader call into the Morning Breeze.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
That was very, very cute. Yeah, and we do appreciate
we we know we have a lot of kids and
their moms and dads that are driving to school and
their friend's moms, Yeah, that are listening to the Breeze.
So thank you for having us on this morning. Yeah,
exposing all these relaxing favorites to the younger generations. It's
good for that. It's important, good and good for you.
Certainly is all right if you've got a brighter side

(09:12):
for us eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine
eight one. While we are on the subject of the
brighter side, we are still looking for our next Morning
Breeze Person of the Week. We're going to make the
announcement tomorrow morning, right around this time. But we need
to hear from you and hear about those special people
in your lives that are going above and beyond.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah, this is where we celebrate those people again, going
above and beyond. People in the Bay Area could be coworkers, friends,
family members, strangers, even, Yeah, we talk about what they've done.
That's great. We also award them Brunch for two on
the Bay courtesy of City Cruises, So you can make
those nominations on our website. Ninety eight one The Breeze
dot Com.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Seven twenty five with John Lennon. It is the Morning
Breeze with Carolyn and Cord. It is time for ask
us anything. You have questions about music relationships? What snack
were obsessed with in the studio? Chocolate covered cinnamon gummy
bears way, which we've been obsessed with for some time
now years. It's a classic. It is, so that question

(10:14):
we just answered. Any other question you have eight seven seven,
nine eight one, you can ask us anything, all right,
Lawrence in Livermore, what's your question today? My question is
what is the exotic food you had tried? The most
exotic food? The most exotic food. I'm going to be

(10:35):
the worst of the bunch. Are you not like to
put on on a limb?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
No. I've eaten snails, eaten frog legs. I eat when
I was living in Europe, I had somebody make this.
It was this fish for me and it had this
kind of this, I don't know, just very earthy taste
to it, and I'm like, what is this? And I
remember him saying it's le poison bit don l which

(11:01):
is translates to it's fish that lives in mud.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Oh my gosh. And it tasted like fish that lives
in that's so nasty. Cord, What about you, Carolyn grim
all right you Lawrence, crickets? O you fried crickets. I've

(11:25):
had crickets before.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Really, yeah, I've had chocolate dipped crickets too.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Good.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Good. I've heard that insects are the future of eating, Like,
there's so many insects on earth that like humans are
just gonna have to figure out how to work them
into our meals.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Wow. Yeah, there's a statement I never thought I would hear. Well, Lawrence,
a great question, and I'm glad it's over you, Lawrence.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
So you're telling me Carolyn, because you didn't really fess
up at all. If you were offered a chocolate covered insect, no,
you wouldn't need it.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
No, I don't even want to try it. I'd rather
go without. Oh. So that's a hard, hard no. And
I don't, by the way, feel bad about saying no.
Sure to you offering me a chocolate covered insect. It's
ask us anything. We do it every weekday morning here
at seven twenty five. Send us your questions with our
iHeartRadio app and that talkback microphone. You can call us
anytime eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one, and.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Be sure to join us at eight fifty as we
go commercial free. That means ninety eight minutes of NonStop,
commercial free relaxing favorites, and we'll kick that off at
eight fifty here on the Morning Breeze. I think, Carolyn,
you have peaked the interest of everybody with a fast
track transponder right now. Oh I know it's eight o
seven by the way, the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and Court.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, so many people here in the Bay Area, myself included,
we have the fast tracked transponders and we've had them
for many years. And I was reading yesterday that the
transponders that were made before twenty nineteen. So if you
have one of the quote unquote older ones in your car,
they are going to expire really soon. So those are
the ones that are like the large kind of blocky.

(13:14):
I don't know you're newer to the Bay Area familiar
with them, but I have used vehicles that have these
in there.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
I just know when I go through the through the
gates whatever, they goes peep.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yeah, they're that's good core. That was a perfect example
of a transpondery. I've nailed it. But they they are
going to expire. They're to become useless, like real soon.
So basically, the the tollbooz will no longer recognize the
old transponder in your car. And what will happen is
you'll end up getting like a finer. You'll get a

(13:46):
notice in the mail that says, hey, you have to
pay this so and to avoid that hassle, they're saying,
if you have the tags that are older than twenty nineteen,
reach out to fast Track. You could do it on
their website. I got a note in the mail about
mine and by the oh way, I didn't mine are
newer than twenty nineteen, and I had to replace them.
So just interesting, just be aware. But it was super easy.

(14:07):
I went onto the fast Track website to my account
and it popped up and said, you have old tags,
you need to replace them, and I got the I
checked a box and I got the new tag within
days and the transport they're sitting on my counter and
they've been there for three weeks.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
What I don't understand about this because if you go
through the toll booth without the transponder, it'll it'll just
register your license plate and send you a bill. That way,
why do we even need transponders anymore? If you just
register your license plate?

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Think in this article, and don't quote me on this,
but it said eventually transponders will go oh way, yeah,
there's no reason. Yeah, there won't be a reason, but
for now, we do need them. Cords Okay, okay, follow
the rules, go to the fast Track your fast Track account.
Just check and make sure you're the one that you have,
is okay? And what do you do with the old transponders? Well,

(14:52):
you can just drop them in the mailbox, because each
transponder has the Metro Center on Beal Street here in
San Francisco the address. So they said, just drop them
in the mailbox and they'll go right back to not
even in an envelope. Nope. Wow, yeah, again, don't quote
me on that, but he did say that. Any I

(15:12):
can just imagine, like the fast Track group is like,
what is the number for the breeze, here's the message
we need to tell everybody about eighty percent of what
you hear on the Morning Breeze may or may not
be accurate. Sometimes they say when you steal from the Breeze,
you've stolen twice, and in this case that's absolutely true.
All right, we're at eight seven seven nine eight one

(15:34):
nine eight one. Send us a message with our iHeart
Radio app that talkback Mike And by the way, on
our iHeartRadio app, when you are listening to the Breeze,
make us your number one pre set on the app.
Oh yes please, I did that the other day. It
makes it super easy. When you open up the app,
you're ready to go. Boom right there, click on Breeze.
It's very easy.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah, you can download in your app store or at
ninety eight one the Breeze dot Com. It's the Morning

Speaker 1 (16:00):

you guys both called it once. So where do you work?

love your Radio, so thank you, thank you, so good.

(16:24):
