(01:06):

We love doing this. So ournext announcement will be seven to ten on
Friday morning, here on the breeze. So, Carolyn, the great American
home renovation trend appears to be slowing, might even be stopping. This was
that's interesting because during the pandemic, everybody was renovating and adding on and making
(01:26):
changes. Because it's like, youspend so much time in your house.
You want to stay there, youwant to enjoy it. You want to
tell the color on my walls.Yeah, I'm gonna paint them peak pandemic.
We changed out our hardwood floors.I did a bunch of hardwood floor
updating and which forced me to docrown molding and some like floorboards and all
that floors that you redid that arecrooked. You said that they were only
(01:48):
if you look close, could youtell they're an amateur like me, So
you're saying it's a yes. Anyway. Anyway, this is so crown molding.
But here's here's like people are notdoing as much renovations Like Lows and
Home Depot. They were just lovingit because everybody was going down to do
a home project. But because ofinflation, prices are higher, and then
(02:10):
interest rates are higher. So ifyou're financing some of that, if you're
doing a bigger project, maybe takingout some financing to do it. Yeah,
So obviously inflation is high, weall know that, and then interest
rates. So one in seven homeownersin the United States right now have basically
said I was going to do this, but I'm not going to do it
or any Yeah. I think aboutthat all the time. With my house,
they certainly could use some updating, and then I think about the cost
(02:35):
and then interest rates on top ofit, and then I just make a
sandwich and staff that quickly. Imean, I could go for a sandwich
any time of the day. I'mdown for this. I was able to
back to my hardwoods. I actuallyI got my materials completely off of Craig's
List, scoured Craig's List, andI looked for people who are doing this,
who are going to do a project, and then just decided I can't
(02:58):
do this. They bought the product, so then yeah, all of the
hardwood that I bought had been sittingin these people's houses for years as well,
and they just they just said,I can't do this. I'm not
going to do this, and soI went in and I got it for
a deal. So you got agood deal on it. That's awesome.
Well, we're gonna put more onthis the Morning Breeze page. You can
get to that very easily ninety eightone the Breeze dot com. If you've
(03:20):
