Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, the Morning Breeze on Demand, and it
is time for us to reveal this week's Morning Breeze
Person of the Week. This week, it's a Nusha who
is nominating G. And like we said a couple of
minutes ago, there was no doubt in our minds that
when this nomination came across to us, we had to
make this our person of the week.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
We've got Anusha on the line with this and Nusha,
tell us why you nominated G.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I known her many years ago. She's always doing volunteer.
She always ready for everyone whoever need help. She never
left anyone behind and she always contributes a lot of
things to the community. Doesn't matter who you are, she
(00:48):
supports everything. And then she loved to do volunteer and
then she is like the giving person, not taking.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
She's always doing for others, but never for herself.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yes, like whoever need help, whatever, she will look for
some information and then help. She was training me for
like the peer couseling. It's kind of like to be good.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Listener, oh peer counseling. Yeah, yeah, I've.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Been volunteering with her at the Asian Women Shelter with
her and I really learned a lot from her. And
then she's one of my role models.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
You're volunteering with her at the Asian Women's Shelter and
you're watching how great she is with everybody, and she's
kind of like you just said, become a role model
for you because she's so good at what she does.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yes, yes, with her husband, both of them kind of
like giving couple.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Does she know that you nominated her for our person
of the Week at all?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
I'm kind of like a secretly telling people around her too,
And then I tell her a little bit, you know,
And then she was like she was crying because she
said she never this kind of like a feeling and
then people look at her and then to nominate her.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
As I love that. It meant so much to her
that she cried. Though when you told her.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, yeah she did, she did cry. She said like, no,
this is like a happy enough for me. You know,
it doesn't matter you would get it or not. She said,
this is really mean, like to her.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Too, it means a lot. Do you think if we
called her we could get her on the phone with us.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, okay, all right, I'm going.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
To try to call her. I'm going to put you
on hold, will be right back. Okay, sure, okay, hang on.
Hello Gee, it's Carolyn and Court from The Breeze.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Oh hi, we have a new show with us as well.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Oh my goodness, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
So gee. Anusha told us all about the great things
that you're doing in San Francisco, working at the Asian
Women's Shelter as well as you know, helping a lot
of people get out of bad situations. And we're just
super excited to be naming you the Morning Breeze Person
of the week.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Oh my goodness, Oh my gosh, thank you so much everyone,
and thank you Anusha and both of you the Breeze,
you know. And and I really feel humble when I
listen to Ausha.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You deserve it. You do so much for the community,
and it's our pleasure to do this for you. We
also have something else for you, Gi you probably don't
know about.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah, we're going to give you a brunch for two
on the bay, courtesy of City Cruises. A chance to
go out and enjoy a nice Sunday brunch out on
the bay.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
Oh, this is so wonderful. I have lived in the
United States for almost forty years now, I left Thailand
when I was in my twenties, and you know, when
I first left home, my mom was very stead like,
you know, being a young woman alone in this country.
(03:59):
So she planted these seats in my mind, like you know,
when you go to their home, their whole meaning you
is go help others. So you break, you are isolation
and you build good alle you will meet, you know,
good people and do go to others because karma will
(04:20):
be your protection shield.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
You're making such an incredible difference, and it's so neat
to know that a lot of this came from those
words from your mom.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Oh, thank you, thank you, Thank you Ausha for nominate me.
This means so much.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
I'm crying now. Both of you made me crying.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Oh yeah, thank you, Carol, thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
They are both so nice.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
It's easily one of my favorite things that we get
to do here on the Breeze. And also just to
learn more about these great people in the Bay Area,
all the things they're doing.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
And her genuine gratitude is just unbelievable. That was a
great person of the week. And we are always looking
for our next Morning Breeze person of the Week. If
there's somebody in your life after you've listened to Anucha
and G and somebody kind of pops into your head
like I should nominate that person. Do that right now.
It's easy to do.
