Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze, the Morning Breeze on Demand, and right
now it's that time of the week where we get
to name a new Morning Breeze Person of the Week.
This is somebody in the Bay Area that has been
deemed going above and beyond just making their community better.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
This time it's Joe who nominated jere Lynn, and I'm
not sure how they are related, but we've got Joe
on the phone. So Joe, tell us about your relationship
with jerre Lynn and why you nominated her for our
Morning Breeze Person of the Week.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Her and our family has lived in elk Grow since
the eighteen fifties. Most of the family has donated time
and money and everything toward the Jesse Baker's School and
I have like a therapy horse writing program there and
the arena is named after Jean and Jerry Strong, and

(00:51):
so Jerrelin worked for the school for the Jesse Baker School,
and the whole family's been outstanding on donating time and
toward helping the kids there. And I was married to
Jerlyne and we got divorced, but they're still like family
to me. They do anything and help me any way

(01:12):
I need, and they do that for everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
That's incredible.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
How nice of you to to think of her in
that way, I know, especially after a divorce, that's got
to be hard.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
No, we're still friends. We're still good friends. We just
decided it wasn't meant to be with us.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
So yeah, but I've had one of those, Joe, I've
got one.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
But I think it says so much though about about
Jerlyne and you, Joe, that that you are thinking of
her and nominating her for the Morning Brieze Person of
the Week, And to me that makes her even just
says how special she is.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, her dad died and it to her and her mom,
and I always thought that would be great for her
and their mom to do that together, go on.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
That cruise and city cruises.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
That's awesome. Well, Joe, we're going to let you go.
We're going to get Jarrolyn on the phone. But thank
you for listening.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Day.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Oh we appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, Joe, have a good rest of your day.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
All right, So we should try it and call Jerlyn now.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, Hello, hi Jerline. Yeah, this is Carolyn and Court.
From ninety eight point one, The Breeze were a radio
station in San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Uh huh, I love the skepticism here, like, what is
going on? Well, Jolyne, we do a thing every week
here on the Breeze where we name somebody the Morning
Breeze Person of the week, somebody in the Bay area
and beyond that's just doing great things for their community.
And Joe said, you're that person. Ah.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
He was telling us about all of the time that
you donate and the money that you donate to Project
Ride Horse Therapy, and that you were a teacher at
Jesse Baker for so many years and just volunteering your
time and your services and you guys just don't stop
your family going back to the eighteen fifties. With all
of this, he couldn't say enough about you. So we

(03:09):
wanted to call and officially make you our Morning Breeze
Person of the week.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh well, how sweet, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
And a little bit more comes with that. Not only
do we make you our Morning Breeze Person of the
Week for this week, but we are also going to
give you a brunch for two on a City Cruises
boat out on the bay here in the San Francisco Bay,
So you and a gas can go out one morning
and have brunch and enjoy the site of the city.
It's kind of like if you're in El Grove. It's
kind of like a little mini vacation for you. Sort of.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Oh, no doubt. I love going to the Bay Area
anytime I get a chance.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, and Joe specifically said, this might be something great
for you to take your mom, bring your mom with you,
and you both got them.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yes. So my mom is eighty seven and she is
still volunteering.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Oh my gosh, you guys both need break.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
This is so.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Perfect for you.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I would imagine that if you're mom is a volunteer,
by the way, that you get a lot of your
motivation from your mom.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Absolutely, if anybody knew how good it feels to be helpful,
I think more people would do it now. Yeah, oh wow,
that's exciting. Oh well, thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well, thank you for all you do.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Oh you as well. Thank you. What a delightful surprise.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Wonderful, so cute.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
And if you have a person in your world that's
like Grelyn that you think would make a great Morning
Breeze Person of the Week, nominate them on our page
ninety eight one. The Breeze dot Com
