The Morning Breeze on demand every Friday morning, just after
seven o'clock. This is when we announce our Morning Breeze
Person of the Week. We've got a great one for
you today, we do.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
It's one of our favorite times of the week, but
it's also one of the most difficult because we get
so many great nominations of great people in the Bay Area.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, as we've mentioned in the past, we have a
lot of people that are very close that nominate one another.
Could be relatives or could be very good friends co workers. Yes,
but in this case, I get the feeling that these
two people don't.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
Know each other that well.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Their acquaintances.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah, so it's Pat who nominated her neighbor Paul. We've
got Pat on the phone with us, so tell us
about Paul and why you nominated him.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
He's just one of these people. He and his wife
both actually are two people that give so much to
this community and to other people. That's just how they
live their lives. They're very active in their church. And
you know the reason that I nominated him. A neighbor
right across the street from me and down the street

(01:09):
from Paul, And this is just typical of the way
they are. Was recently diagnosed with a very very serious illness,
and Paul just noticed that his yard was getting, you know,
out of scruffy, and he just took it upon himself
to just go over and take care of the yard.
Because then the neighbor was always the person that did everything.

(01:32):
At Christmas time, he makes caramels and he gives them
to his church and he gives you know, He's just
one of those kind of people. So I just when
I was sitting in the car the other day and listening,
and I thought, I'm going to tell them a little
bit about Paul.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
We're so glad you did.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
They're sure. There are a lot of wonderful people in
this world. He just happens to be one of them
that steps out and does things for others.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
He sounds exactly like the kind of neighbor you would
want to have in your fortunate enough that he is
one of your neighbors.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
All right, Pat, thanks for talking with us about Paul

Yeah, Hey, it's Carolyn and Court from ninety eight point

We're good. How are you doing well?

I'm just ready to go out and play some golf.

Oh no, very nice. Are you going nine or eighteen today? Well,
we will make it quick then so you can get
back to what's really important.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
But we wanted to call you. But your neighbor Pat
reached out to us.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Okay, and Pat was telling us about what an incredible
neighbor you are and all all of the different things
that you're doing, active in church, president of the HOA,
an amazing friend and amazing neighbor. And we do a
feature every Friday morning called her Morning Briefs Person of
the Week. She heard that and said, I've got just

the person for you, guys.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
It's Paul.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
Wow, and you've got the right Paul. I think we
think so.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
You are the president of the HOA.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
Correct I am President of the HOA, Yes, I am.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
And you're active in your church.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Very active at the church.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
And you have a neighbor named Pat.

Speaker 6 (03:35):
I do have a Pat, I think we.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Got the right part. I think we have the right Paul.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, so, Paul, it's it's basically a way for us
to celebrate people in the Bay Area who are doing
good things, not looking for recognition, but we want to
point out to everybody else, Hey, there are great people
in the Bay Area and these people deserve recognition.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
I really appreciate that, and I appreciate Pat noticing.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
So you're probably wondering, like, what's the second half of this?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
There is a second half.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
We like to do something for our persons of the
week that they might not normally do for themselves, and
in this case, we're going to send you out on
a cruise of the Bay courtesy of City Cruises, a
nice Sunday brunch.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Ah, that's great.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
So we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Give you and a guest an opportunity to go out
on a Sunday morning, have some brunch. You're going to
go over to Salsolito. Then they'll take you on a
City Cruises over to Oracle Park. You're going to go
under and around all the bridges. It's going to be
a great morning out there. It's just our way of
saying on Pat's behalf thank you for all you do
for the community and for being such a great person.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Oh man, well, I appreciate that, and like you said,
I don't look for any reward, but this is great
and we.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Hope that this really helps your golf game today, that
you play extra well.

Speaker 6 (04:52):
So they will they'll be thinking about it all day.
