(00:00):
The Morning Breeze Morning Breeze on Demand. We were talking a couple of minutes
ago and I mentioned that there mightbe a new city coming to the Bay
Area. There's a group, apparentlyCourt that has purchased more than fifty thousand
acres of land in Solano County andthey say their plan is to build a
new city on this land. Theysay it's decades away, but they've got

(00:23):
the space, they've got the investors, they've got the plans mapped out,
and they're getting really close to pullingthe trigger on this. Again. It's
in Solano County. They say theywould build it somewhere between Rio Vista and
Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. They're saying it's going to be a community.
There will be like lush open spaces, commercial areas, and it'll all

(00:44):
be powered by clean solar energy. As ow the plans, it looks very
cute. I think most people arefamiliar with, like when a neighborhood pops
up in an existing city, theplanning that goes into it. Yes,
because I think for most people welive in cities that just kind have happened,
and then they're like, oh,we should probably start planning this out
a little better, and so theedges of the city are a little more

(01:06):
planned than than the city centers, but it usually loses its uniqueness. I
once visited this town in it wasin Switzerland or France somewhere that burned down,
like in the early nineteen hundreds. So they rebuilt it. They tried
to add all the the European charmback into it, but they added and
they made sure the streets were alittle bigger. So when you visited it,

(01:29):
it just felt strange. It feltvery forced, forced, and like
kind of European but not quite.Yeah, and I'm just worried because I've
seen some of the mock ups onthis. We're gonna be posting this on
our website and on the Breeze dotcom. It looks European in design.
It does a little bit right becausethere's tables with chairs outside little cafes,
but they're gonna have bigger streets becausewe're American. Yeah, we just like

(01:53):
bigger streets cars, and so it'sjust not gonna feel quite right as quaint.
Yeah, it'll be interesting to seewhat happens again. They say it's
decades away, but it is soweird to think, you know, especially
in the Bay Area, when youknow, once you go out towards Rio
Vista Fairfield, there's a little morearea as far as land goes. But
just when stuff pops up, likeyou said, when all of a sudden,
there's a new neighborhood in your neighborhoodor a new building in your neighborhood

(02:15):
too, and you're like, howdid they do that? Where did that
come from? It just is kindof interesting. So check out the pictures.
