Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, we learned from Ryan Schmels, twenty one days is
the record. This is West Michigan's Morning News Steve Kelly
and Brett Pikita Fox News Radio. Is Ryan Schmels in Washington,
d C. Thanks for doing this today morning.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Twenty one days will be the I believe second longest ever.
Thirty three is the longest, ah thirty five.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
So could we would we? I guess week number three
as we get under way today, Ryan, where's the line
in the sands still and what might we see happen today?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Well, we'll probably see that Today is another vote on
the bill that has been on the floor, that has
been voted on over ten times that would extend funding
until mid to late November. We have not got any
indication that it's going to be any different than past votes.
A bit so maybe there's some fatigue amongst Democrats that
might get them to votes yes, but as of right now,

(00:49):
it looks like that it's not going to be the case.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Talk to us a little bit about what is affected.
My wife and I were in Washington, D C. Over
the weekend for a wedding and in the middle of
the country where we sort of live and work. This
is kind of a secondary story, right, It's something to
talk about, But in Washington, DC, everybody's affected by this thing.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, certainly. I mean, you've got a lot of federal
workers who aren't getting their paychecks right now. There's been
a lot of questions about where the troops are going
to get paid and how they're going to get paid.
They've been able to survive the most recent pay cycle
thanks some movement from the Department of War and the
Trump administration. But really, I think the thing that the
whole world's going to notice it's going to be the

(01:31):
air traffic and and how airports are impacted. We're already
seeing massive backups at airports and delays at airports. And
you know, it's probably one of the better seasons for
that to happen now, because you know, we're not in
a big tourism season, but you know we're going to
get into November soon, and if this thing is still
dragging on by Thanksgiving, I mean, it's going to be
an absolute nightmare at the airport. Was this going to say?

Speaker 1 (01:54):
That?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Was?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
My next question? Is what are the big obstacles you
see as far as holidays or things like that that
are coming up where I mean, people just aren't going
to put up with us anymore.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah. No, And and and if we if we go
into Thanksgiving weekend and air traffic is still a problem,
I mean, number one, we'd have one of the long
we'd have longer shutdown in history by a lot. But
besides that, it would just you know, people are just
going we'll be we'll be backed up, and it's going
to be an absolute nightmare at the airport. So I
think everyone's hoping that a solution has come to before.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Then, and that is Ryan Schmels with Fox News Radio.
Like the Maytag repair man in Washington, d C. Thanks
for your time today.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Sounds good boys. Thank you,

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
