Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, can't ignore the power ball? Are you one of
those fair weather friends like me? I am totally fair weather.
I don't even think about it until it gets to
this kind of number. Let's get out to party World
on alpine. Dave Castor is with us. A party World
has had a disproportion, that's why we talked to them.

(00:20):
A number of big winners out there, Dave, thanks for
joining us again today.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Good morning. How's there? Aby doing great?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Thank you, and certainly would be better, although our lives
would be a little more complicated. We would think less,
and I think we'd be wrong. So where does this
thing stand now and how does it work?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Well? Right now, we're at one point three billion dollars
as of today. The drawing is held tonight, and as
most deal you know the drawings, as of noon, it
might go up again because of the high ticket sales.
I feel it's because the Mega went up and priced.
So he's playing the power ball.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Oh yeah, that's a great point. I saw that story.
But again, as I mentioned, I'm so fair weather that
I wouldn't have noticed it until now. What is do
you have broken down? If I get the payments or
if I were to if it stays at one point
three or if I get the lump sum, what kind
of money I'm walking away with. I just need to
know if it's worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yep. Absolutely. The good rule of thumb is after taxes,
no matter what the prizes, it's about forty percent of
your take home. So after the taxes.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
And everything, So five dred and eighty nine million would
be at one point three billion right now. The cash
value you could do? Okay with that, Steve.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, well, so put that in perspective. If you had
a daughter like I do, you could pay for college
and a wedding.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Same boat, Steve got, I'm in the same boat.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I'm curious, Dave, if you won that, would you still work?
It seems like you love your job. No Party World
would be for sale.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I would. I would be in Party World to buy beer,
and that's it.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I'll tell you. I would continue to work. I would
just be harder to work with. I've said that before.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
As Steve.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
They would ask me to leave. As Steve mentioned, that's
my job and I love our customers, so it would
be I'd missed so many customers they become like family
over the last forty years.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
So what's the craziest thing you've seen someone do, whether
you know them or not, because you have a reputation
like Steve mentioned, where you guys have a lot of
winners come out of there. What's the craziest number combination,
whether it's birthdays or what that people have shared with
you that they've used.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Well, I literally have a guy that plays one, two, three, four,
five and it was Powerball six, So I think that's
pretty crazy. But yeah, I have people that you know,
they purposely go and eat a Chinese restaurant down the
street before they come to party rules.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So that adds to the luck. Oh I never thought
about that.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
God, the amount of egg rolls for five hundred and
eighty nine million dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Numbers on the Yeah, there's numbers on the fortune cookie.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, but what if the fortune cookie, your fortune says
you're not a winner today?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well then you don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, I mean, if it says you're gonna win the lottery,
I thank you b line at the party.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Roll now, yeah, exactly, Well, when when is the actual drawing?
Whin's the last ticket sale? Tonight?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I think tonight is nine to forty five is when
they cut it off. And I believe the drawings at
eleven pm there it is one point. Then they probably
won't know winter till sometime in the morning because with
that made tickets sold. It's if there's a jackpot of
one point three billion, there's probably one point three billion

(03:48):
tickets they gotta calculate.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Let's get after it, John Casters, I'm sorry, David Dave
is out at the Party World His middle name is John.
Thank you so much for your time again today.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
That's my hey see, that's gonna be my alias when
I win the one point totally, no more Party World Day,
just John Cash.
