Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is West Michigan's Morning News. Steve Kelly, Brett Kata,
Lawrence Smith. That's Adam road Show. It is Monday, October thirteenth,
twenty twenty five and Top five Ton Schmidty.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Where do we start.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
At number five? Are you missing a bunch of underwear?
It could be your neighbor's cat. A New Zealand cat
nicknamed Leonardo d'a pinchi has become locally famous for his
hobby of stealing laundry from the neighbors. He's been caught
bringing home socks, men's underwear, even a three hundred dollars
cashmere sweater, sometimes returning with as many as nine stolen

(00:33):
items in a single day. It got so bad that
Leonardo's parents had to post flyers around the neighborhood saying,
are you missing underwear? We've discovered our cat has stolen
a large amount. We live on George Street. If it's you,
we're so very sobby that.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
You did it because of the cat's named.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Int you de pinchy. Come on, I've heard of dogs,
but cats.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Number four of the list speaking in which protesters rallying
against the Trump administration and Portland put these cities quirky
and irreverent reputation on display yesterday by pedaling through the
streets wearing absolutely nothing or in some cases close to
it in an emergency edition of the annual World Naked
Bike Ride, which just makes.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
You feel bad for seats.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
The crowd have gathered daily and nightly outside the immigration
facility in Oregon's largest city in recent days have embraced
the absurd, donning inflatable frogs, unicorns, and banana outfits as
they face off with federal law enforcements. This time yesterday
they went through the streets wearing hardly anything. It's about

(01:39):
fifty degrees, just to let you know as well, so
it was not a lot on the seat tad, Yeah, chili,
except for wool socks.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I'm hearing with one fifty one year old.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
At number three, this is kind of a tease for trending,
but it's really the big ten in general. What a
football weekend and how tumultuous it was because you have
Ohio State who took care business their and they did
win at Illinois. Congrats to them, thirty four to sixteen.
So they stayed number one, but Indiana moved up four spots.
They went to Oregon, which is almost a place to

(02:11):
I mean, you just can't win there, right Number seven.
Indiana wins over Oregon thirty to twenty. They improved to six. No,
so they're up to number three. This isn't basketball rankings,
this is football Indiana. Yeah, Indiana is up to number three.
Then you got Texa and M four omus five. Meanwhile,
Penn State fell out of the top twenty five last weekend.
Remember you have Oregon dropping down to eight, Michigan who

(02:34):
was fifteen and lost USC drops out of the top
twenty five this week.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It is absolutely crazy in the big ten.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
And we'll get into the biggest story James Franklin getting
fired yesterday at Penn State coming.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Up at number two.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
You'll probably have a hard time believing this, but the
Russian space program, the civilian version of it, kind of
running out of money right now. So what are they doing.
They're selling advertising space on the sides of the rockets
that they're now sending up with civili them.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It's a brilliant idea.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
I mean, it's a great way to make some quick cash.
But if I was going to take a civilian trip,
I don't know if I'd want it to be brought
to you by some weird company.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Listen, I'm not above it.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I've got a lot of forehead space that we could
stack a little sign on careful.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Yeah, people are listening.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I don't think so at this hour.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Trending down and by the way, people have done that.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And finally that's possible number one on the list.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I was kind of like following it, and it kept
going away, and when I went to gravit over here,
it took off.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Police in Ohio shared body camera footage of the pursuit
of a giant inflatable pumpkin that broke free from in
front of a local home and went rolling through town.
That's right, first responders in Ohio, we're chasing a giant
inflatable pumpkin.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
This was in Parma Heights.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
They sat on social media that officers found themselves in
hot pursuit. Body camera footage shows the pumpkin finally being
held place on the side of a road by an
officer and a.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Helpful member of the public. Apparently they've been chasing it
for about an hour.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
How fast is hot pursuit? Well took some real guts, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, Oh, that's it. That's today's tough.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I'll do it for myself, but thank you fact, I
don't

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Have it handy and I took the snare Drum out
for air conditioning repair yesterday
