Speaker 1 (00:00):
And welcome to West Michigan's morning News. Steve Kelly, bred
Kata Laurence Smith. That's Adam a road Show and it
is Friday, October twenty fourth, twenty twenty four. Top five
Times Schmitty. Where does it start?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Well at number five? I'm such a fan of hers
Kylie Kelcey. This is the wife of Jason Kelsey. He
just retired from the Philadelphia Eagles last year and she's
got a new podcast called Not Gonna Lie and talking
on the recent episode yesterday, she was asked about advice
she'd give her husband before big games, and she said
there was only one rule I ever gave him.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
What I often reminded him was that if a fight.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Broke out, he better keep all ten of his piggy
toes on the outside of that field, because I did
not want to afford a five. Oh, Dearne, And I
just think she is so fabulously honest.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
She's one of my favorite wags in the game.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Uh, what's a wag wife and girlfriend? Oh to know?
Number four in the list. I try to keep up
with you kids beat Once in a while, Yeah, something
goes over my head and I feel like I need
to represent as a wrestler.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Your wife would have been a wag at some point.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Former wrestler at number four in the list. I just
won't do it anymore, Schmid, but I will get back
in on the mat for the appropriate oh renumeration. Black Bear,
at number four in the list, took a stroll through
downtown Bozeman, Montana, and was recorded by security cameras when
he paid a visit to an outdoor seating area of
(01:24):
a distillery. That's right, we got a drunk bear. Boseman's
Spirits Distillery shared camera footage showing the bear looking around,
giving a sniff to the door, realizing it was closed,
and moving on. Something you will not see in downtown
Grand Rapids today.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
At number three.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
And by the way, Steve will have more on this
coming up at trending Huge story and it broke at
the end of the show. As far as the sports world,
Portland Trailblazer's coach and former mister big Shot for the
Pistons right Chauncey Billips, Miami heat guard Terry Rozier, and
former Cleveland Cavaliers player and assistant coach now Damon Jones
have been arrested as part of a pair of wide
ranging investigations related to illegal sports betting and rigged poker
(02:05):
games backed by the mafia. This came out a total
of thirty four people were arrested as a result of
a year's long investigation covering eleven states and involving tens
of millions of dollars that according to FBI Director Cash Battel.
Law enforcement officials said the multiple charges involved four mafia
families and organized crime networks, with Betel saying of the
(02:27):
money involved that the fraud is mind boggling.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I didn't know we still had mo I was reading
that list yesterday. I was like, Oh, I thought all
them would have been wiped out.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Nope, Why And I.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Know you'll have more audio, like I said coming up
at the top of the hour.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, and I'm sure there'll be a movie. Is Martin
Scorsese still ready? Good to know?
Speaker 6 (02:45):
At number two, a German tourist returned to volcanic rocks
he stole from a protected area in the Canary Islands
in Spain after quote unquote tragedy befell him. He wrote
a letter to the park saying, after a major personal tragedy,
I feel compelled to return these few grams of rocks
to the Montangaes del Fuego in Spain. I would be
(03:06):
eternally grateful if you returned them to where I took
them from. And I believe Mike Brady has some advice
for this young man.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Explain all the awful things that have been happening to
us since.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
We found it.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Very simply coincidence. Ian Greg gets wiped out by a wave,
Alice hurts her back, Spider calls across the room. Coincidence, Yeah, guy,
it's just coincidence. I remember the idol Oh, they were
cursed we learned as kids.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
And then they had the kid who was the Jinks?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Was it the Brady Bunch of German Gunter? I mean,
for crying out loud, watch some TV.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well, catch up, let me tell you about Oliver. Wow,
it was a Brady Bunch episode when they went to Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
And what did that dad do for a living.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
He was an architect design houses.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Well they married in you know there was three kids
at each set.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Okay, finally a number one of the lists in Indiana.
Man visiting the crater of Diamond State Park in Arkansas.
Why aren't we giving away trips to this Diamond Crater park?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Oh well, our sales team will.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Apparently he stumbled onto a seven A two point seven
to one carrot white diamond. Dewey White is this guy's name.
Wasn't there used to be a Dewey that hung out
around here?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
He there was, Oh my gosh, there's a visual.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
This might be that guy. He apparently thought it looked
like a piece of glass in the ground, so he
picked it up with a shovel, and now he is
the proud owner of something worth millions.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Wasn't Dewey the guy who washed the station.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Dewe?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
He's doing well. He's a nice guy.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
He did a good job, and now he's watching someone
wash the station vehicles.
