Online and what's talked now at Woodradio dot.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
How this is the Trending Now report on Wood Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Start with a little heavy snow that's passing through. Half
to an inch and hour is what's happening right now.
The National Weather Service says, however, that that storm cells
should last about an hour in each of those spots
as it moves through more with traffic and weather in moments.
ICE operations underway in Minnesota after that fraud scandal. Minnesota

(00:42):
Senator Michael holmstro.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Unfortunately, it's really been put to test these last few years.
I keep hearing renewed calls to reel it back and
to disincentivize these program users, and it's really it's disappointing
that this has happened in the way it has.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Treasure Department investigating claims the Somali population is sending stolen
funds to an Al Kaita linked group. ICE launching an
operation in New Orleans too, herea is Senator Ashley Moody.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
They just released the numbers of those that they've released
over the last seven months. How many have they pushed
into the interior. Zero? Compare that with Biden who had
released quotas. And then look at the deportations that Trump
is trying to get out of the country, those that
were pushed in, many with long criminal records.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
And the Department of Transportation announcing efforts yesterday to make
air travel more family friendly. How here's Transportation Secretary Sean Duff.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I'm not a big government guy, so I'm not finding
anyone if they wear their pajamas on the airplane, right,
That's not what we're doing.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
I'm just we're.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Asking people to again maybe dress a little better.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
More atwood Radio dot com.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Also trending this morning, the Pope has gone viral. Pope
Leo joined Michael Boublay during his concert with the Poor
at the Vatican.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, oh, there he is.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
He's singing.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
He's going viral for singing along. He has the most
joyous look on his face. Spelled the whole thing out.
The Pope expressing his pleasure to be able to partake
in the joy of listening to music, which is quote,
not a luxury for the few, but a divine gift

(02:27):
accessible to everyone. That'd be a pretty good compliment if
you're Michael Bubble and the Pope singing along.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, no kidding, I love it and post that on
my social media too.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Now, the Notre Dame College football playoff snub continues, and
yesterday their athletic director Pete Vovaqua appeared on The Dan
Patrick Show, which you can hear nine and nude over
on ninety six. Won the game. But I think it
was interesting how he handled himself with this and what
he was saying that really kind of bothered Notre Dame
with his snub.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
You see play in any of this in your opinion.

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Well, I would tell you. I mean again, I tremendous
respect for Miami. You know, the great team, great school,
their athletic director, Dan Radikovich, is a good friend, and
all the teams in the ACC great wonderful universities. We
have no gripes about any of the schools in the ACC,
but we were mystified by the actions of the conference

(03:21):
to attack you know, their biggest really business partner in
football and a member of their conference. In twenty four
of our other sports. And I would tell you, Dan,
I wouldn't be honest with you if I didn't say
that they have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship
between the conference and Notre Dame. What do you mean,

(03:42):
just we didn't appreciate the fact that we were singled
out repeatedly and compared to Miami, not by Miami. Miami
has every right to do that, but it raised a
lot of eyebrows here that the conference was taking shots
at us, and you.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Know that's so that's what he's saying. He's saying that
when it came down to it, the ACC didn't really
push for them, they were pushing against them because Miami
is attached to the ACC and football and thus the
money part of it.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Those are just some of the stories we are following
for you.
