Speaker 1 (00:22):
Eight cities in Los Angeles County announced Tuesday they joined
a lawsuit accusing the Trump administration's deportation efforts in California
of being unconstitutional. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass claims ice
detainments look too similar to kidnapping.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Well, it creates a public safety problem because of individuals
in the city, and this has already happened. Call it
up and report it as a kidnapping. Then you have
LAPD go out, and then you have a mess.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
The Trump administration has already sued Los Angeles and other
cities arguing they're saying su where his city policies are illegal,
will keep you posted. Farmers around the United States may
be losing some of their workers as President Trump continues
to deport migrants who are in the nation illegally. Agriculture
Secretary Brook Rawlins joined The Ingraham Angle, where she clears
(01:18):
up some of the President's mixed messaging.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
He has been fairly specific that we need to make
sure that we don't compromise our food supply. So we
are going to mass support, but we have to make
sure we focus on the really bad guys first in
the inner cities.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
These comments come the same day the Trump administration announced
the National Farm Security Action Plan and Initiative to protect
US agriculture from China, banning the purchase of farmland by
Chinese nations, and the Department of Homeland Security rolling out
a new policy that will not require travelers to take
off their shoes while going through tsa security screening. Secretary
(01:56):
of Homeland Security Christy No, there.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Will be individual at times that will be asked to
remove their shoes if we think there's additional layers of
screening that is necessary that may still happen to an individual.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
The travelers with and without real ID will be allowed
to participate.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Also trending this morning, we continue to watch the death
toll and recovery efforts in Texas. But there's a really
beautiful side of this. I wanted to point out, and
it's called the Lost Stuffy Project. So this was started
by a mom r name is Randy Jaffe. In the
wake of those palisades and eaten fires in California, she
realized sometimes the most comforting things can be when kids
(02:36):
are reunited with their favorite stuffed animals. And they're now
working in Texas and in fact, people have found stuffed
animals among the debris. They've contacted her and they work
to reunite these stuffies with their kids. I thought a
really cool part of this is sometimes obviously we have
to go online to search find maybe a replacement for
(02:57):
these kids because that can be such a helpful part
of deal with the trauma. But they also have who
they call the Stuffy Doctor. She is an absolute angel
on earth. It is someone here in Michigan who restores
stuffed animals. So when they find them in these debris areas,
they send it to this person who actually gets the
entire stuffed animal back together, professionally, professionally cleaned before they
(03:21):
send it back to the family.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Thanks Kim.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
All they're asking is for you to follow their Instagram,
the Lost Stuffy Project, and they're actually finding these stuffed animals,
either monetary donations for shipmen to get them cleaned, finding
them online, or being able to reunite with kids who knew.
Isn't that incredible?
Speaker 6 (03:38):
