As announced, META is dumping its third party fact checking
of posts and moving to a system of community notes
in the style of x formerly Twitter. They begin this
new practice in the US next week. Community notes allows
users to question the veracity of posts by presenting arguments
or proof, and then the system of fixes a note
to the question post, often with links to sources. Meta

chief Mark Zuckerberg has said that fact checking on Facebook
and Instagram costs too much division by too often flagging
