to Michigan and the communities. We serve what's not online and.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
What talked now at Woodradio Dot how. This is the.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Trending Now report on Wood Radio. China said Friday it
was considering an offer, so that means today, but they're
ahead of US an offer from the United States, who
discussed tariffs between the two countries. Secretary of State Marco
Rubio calls the tariffs a wake up call for the
US's reliance on China. This was on Hannity yesterday.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
We were far too dependent on China. We allowed them,
through unfair trade practices to deindustrialize US and to use
not just tariffs, but non tariff barriers, currency manipulation.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
President Trump promised a golden age for the Crimson tide
in remarks during a commencement celebration at the University of Alabama,
and assure the graduates they'll have an opportunity outside the classroom.
Everybody should believe in the American Dream. It's real, it's there,
and it's right before you.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
We're coming back to.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
The American Dream.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Fox's Jesse Waters went to DOZE headquarters in Washington to
talk to Elon Musk about where he's learned taxpayer money
is being spent, and Musk says the Department of Government
Efficiency continues to root out fraud.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Generally, the fraud starts out small and they try to
hide it. But then year after year, if nobody stops
the fraud, it gets more and more brazen, and every
year it gets bigger until they're literally renting out stadiums.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Democrats say DOSE is in effect and effort to take
away America's social security benefits to destroy the government from
the inside. We'll keep you posted at woodradio dot com.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Also trending this morning. We have it as a constant conversation.
And now the weather's warming up, we're going to see
more of those orange barrels. Let's talk zipper, mrgh gentlemen,
because once again John Richards from m Dotts sells what
TV quote when it says use both lanes and take turns,
we mean it. If you've got a thousand cars in
(02:12):
one lane versus five hundred cars and two lanes. That
is going to decrease the backups. However, my new favorite
statement comes from Michigan State Police Lieutenant Michelle Robinson. It
is a more.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Effective way of getting more traffic through that zipper merge.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Than if everybody backs up like a bunch of baby
ducks and there we go zipper merge. Learn it, and
if you're one of those lane blocking vigilantes, they remind
you that's illegal.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Okay, Can I throw out my road rage right now?
You know, I would love kids to sit down when
they're little, and you know, sit Indian style and listen
to the surprise reader. But that doesn't always happen either,
does it.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I mean in a perfect world, Yeah, everybody goes in
that doesn't happen.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
And we get for him to breathe into great and
to your lunch bag, to your.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Lunch jep Russ.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Okay, I guess I'm ready to get your turn. I
had to call him down a little bit.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
So yesterday morning I get it. I get a text
after the show from MSU alum Steve Kelly and big
news out of Michigan State. I did not see this
one coming. Alan Haller fired yesterday as MSU's athletic director
after three and a half years at the post. Haller's
last day will be May eleventh, so a week from
this Sunday, and President Kevin Guskowitz said MSU's deputy athletic
(03:35):
Director of Senior Women's Administration, Jen Smith and Tom Izzo
will serve as co intrim AD's a national searches ongoing,
and President Guskowitz coming out in saying that he is
looking for a new athletic director who can best navigate
the changing landscape of college athletics while working closely with
both internal and external stakeholders to move Michigan State forward.
(03:59):
Interesting because he had success. I know we hired Jonathan Smith,
so it's a wait and see for football. But when
you look at Adam Nightingale when he did with the
hockey program, you look at Robin Freelich and what she
has done with MSU women's basketball program. He's hired a lot.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Of coaches totally. But new landscape from everything that I read,
meant nil money.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yes, it's new landscape. All that's nice.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Yeah, that's that is affinity for ford Field. But that
is going to get me breathing into the Bag six eleven.
