funding for the federal government. Republicans won a clean resolution
that would fund the government through November, but Democrats want
funding for healthcare cuts that were made of the big
beautiful bill. House Speaker Mike Johnson on Fox's Sunday Night
in America.

You think of all the people here are being harmed
by this. It begins with women, infants, and children. Their
nutrition programs are being stopped, and veterans health services and
all the rest. I think these Democrats in the center
are going to fuel the outcry, and I think they're
going to fold and do the right thing, and we'll
get the lights back on and get back to work.

The Congressional bub Budget Office estimates the government shut down
costs American tax payer is one point two billion dollars
as a Friday, Israeli and Hamas negotiators meeting in Egypt
today to discuss that US back proposal to end the
war in Gaza, Israeli Ambassador to the US Danny Denon

telling Fox's Sunday Night, Israel is hoping for the best.

We pray that the Hamas will go along. You never
know with those guys. You know, it's a terrorist organization.
We had a bad experience with them, so we are hopeful,

hope that they would accept the deal. If they will
not do that, we will have to do it the Haldway.

And a big birthday celebration as America's Navy is celebrating
it's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary at Naval Station Norfolk

hundred and fifty years of strength, tenacity, and unwavering courage
by the greatest fighting force even and that's Trueta. Where

The celebration continues after a Tuesday meeting before all the
Armed Forces generals and Admiral's. Next up, the Marine Corps
turns two hundred and fifty in November.

Also turning this morning. This morning, what a beautiful moment
yesterday as the Detroit Lions were in Cincinnati. That's just
happens to be where running back David Montgomery grew up
and his sister was able to attend the game. This
is a very big deal. His sister Kiki was in
a car accident about a year and a half ago.
She is in a wheelchair, and it was the first
time she got to see her brother score a touchdown
in person.

A year and a half ago, on Valentine's Day, his
sister Kiki was in a horrible car accident and she's
currently paralyzed from the neckdown. This is the first time
today she has been able to see him play in
the person in the cars.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
The smile on his face, the smile on her face.

That's really cool, guys.

him in wildcat. He played quarterback at a high school
in Cincinnati. Like sen he was talking about, He's from there.
They threw out of the wildcat. He threw a touchdown
pass yesterday.

I wish I could have any idea what you were
talking about, but you'll have to explain the wildcat to me.
I believe that is some sort of oil union.

I'm gonna leave that up. I'm going to leave that
to you and Dave to look up. Okay, you look

That was a movie too, but I'll get back to

down of professional football.

best teams in West Michigan as far as high school football.

there it is.

Oma Mater being five and zero? Hell has frozen over?

They certainly weren't that good when I was there. Not
that I played high school football either, but.

I don't mean to be this guy on a Monday morning,
but I can't help it. I told you about James Franklin.
You know, I think he's going to be on a
little bit of a watch as far as Penn State
after losing to UCLA. How about Aaron Glenn. At least
Ben Johnson has won a couple of games for Chicago
and you could see some things with the Bears. Aaron
Glenn the former defensive coordinator for the Lions who took
over for the Jets, where he played zero and five

after they just got stomped by the Cowboys. He's in trouble.
And here's the thing. He's a defensive guy. Jets are
the first defense to not force a single takeaway in
their first five games in the season since nineteen thirty three.
Oh yeah, and they're the only winless team in the
NFL as we speak.
